Met Chris at the door just when a retrospective of Sam Francis was about to commence. His kind way was immediately evident and so I joined a sparkling offering on the artist. Edges, whiteness, flying partly done canvasses are suddenly new themes to consider. Thanks for your kindnesses last night. I’m better for it.

The range and quality of the work on display here is outstanding. The information and insights on display next to each piece were even better than those found in national galleries. I would recommend this gallery to any artist, collector or art-lover visiting SF.

This place is amazing. They have pieces from very famous artists from Rembrandt to Warhol. I told my self that i wont spend much time there, but failed to do so bc it was such a great place

Absolutely stunning. The collection of Rembrandt etchings is incredible to be able to see for free. TJ Mueller’s Everest is also stunning to see in person.

Meet nice and impressive modern art. Small gallery but many contemporary art pieces. Walk around and feel like visiting someone’s living room.
