I wear quite baggy clothes and none of my bras fit after losing 60kgs. It's very hard to see what my body looks like. I went into City Chic, Karingal VIC store, some time ago now, asking to try on multiple different sized bras - because I had no idea what size I would be anymore. I was excited to feel good about myself and maybe buy something sexy. Instead when asking for specific sizes, the expert woman working scoffed at me, laughed and said, "honey, there's no way you're going to fit into a XX size bra. You're definitely a (much bigger) XX size bra". While she pulled on my clothes to reveal my body shape. Being told this, AND having someone try to see my figure by pulling my clothes, by someone who was laughing at me absolutely shattered me. I already struggle with confidence. All I wanted was to feel a bit more confident about my body. Then I kept getting pressured to buy the bras I was trying on. Whilst they were okay and fit me, I realise they had detachable straps and I do not like detachable straps. I was rushed and pressured into buying expensive items I was unsure about. This woman's customer service was disgusting and I have never experienced this in any shop. Even going to bras n things I get treated with more dignity and respect. I wasn't going to leave a review but I am continuously getting pestered with emails about my experience so here it is! I won't be a returning customer and I have already let family and friends know about how I was body shamed and judged by City Chic, Karingal, VIC.

Shopped at this location for the first time today and the service was amazing. Phoned ahead regarding a particular style & size of jeans. The person was very helpful on the phone. When I arrived in store she had put the jeans aside ‘just to be safe’ (without me having asked) as it was their last pair. She was serving multiple customers smoothly and was cheerful. Best shopping experience I have had in a long time. Wish I grabbed their name for the bosses to see who it was! Thank you!

The staff member Bree was amazing at helping our daughter find a dress for her school formal. Bree suggested a few different styles for her to try so that she could see what suit her best. Bree even helped with choosing the most suitable bra for the dress and had some fantastic suggestions for accessories like shoes, jewellery and hair styles. Thank you Bree!! We couldn’t have done this without you!!

City chic is amazing!!! Have a great atmosphere great staff and so helpful to they will go to the end of the earth to help and to make you feel better in yourself and beautiful as well when I go and see them (I live locally) they will always have a massive smile and make you feel at home and if they don't have the thing you want they will hunt down the clothing you want I highly recommend them

I can not thank kristy enough from the karingal hub store. I was daunted going clothes shopping as I needed a lot and had no idea of my size. She was so welcoming and asked questions to be able to recommend styles and sizes. I spent 2 hours in the store and I swear I almost brought half the shop. She is a great asset to your business

I went to the new store in Karingal hub today. Walked around looking at the dresses. I was waiting for the lady to serve someone when she finished she ignored me another customer came in and she asked them if she could help them seriously. Not Happy. 0 points for that. Won’t be going again I’ll buy somewhere else

Seen by Bree this afternoon, she has a fantastic personality and made me feel very comfortable. I walked in feeling a bit nervous as clothes shopping isn’t my favourite thing to do but just a quick chat with her instantly lifted my spirits. 100% will be shopping here again :)

Sorry City Chic, used to love you guys a good 20 years ago, but your options in sizing is shameful these days. Your store is meant to be size inclusive for bigger women, and it's not. Won't be going to another store again, and won't be ordering online either.

Had an excellent experience, at the karingal hub. Jo was so helpful, she was very kind and friendly. Definitely recommend going to this store. Very positive attitude.

Wonderfully helpful. The staff went out of their way to help a tomboy that needed a dress for a wedding and had no clue!
