So the City Sticker late fee is based off of the date you signed your lease or contract for your new home. In our case, we flew to Chicago to sign our contract, and flew back to California. The original home owners were still living in our house. Our cars were still in California. We didn’t drive them over until several weeks later. We didn’t immediately go to the dmv either, we had to move in. I want to point this out, because this is an absurd concept. Additionally, the DMV told us incorrectly that it was based on the date you registered your car (the biggest city in the state doesn’t communicate at all with the state DMV on issues pertaining to vehicles? Obviously, their current rule is impossible for a lot of people, and I’m sure they know this. If Chicago wants to rebound, consider making an effort to reform rules/laws that strong arm citizens into paying extra fees. The economy right now isn’t just going to put a strain on the citizens of Chicago, but expect a strain on City Hall workers, as they will feel the pain when they confront angry residents, and particularly angry NEW residents who are ready to leave their first year here.

Though I’m sure many wonderful people work here, the city of Chicago has been historically tone deaf when it comes to environmental health. The city of Chicago needs to step up and stop putting things in its river for the sake of outdated tradition. In a time where the country’s clean water resources are becoming more scarce, ecological dumping is increasing and so is poverty, it comes off as ignorance when the city dumps rubber ducks and “healthy” green dye into its river because 1) there’s no way they’re completely cleaned up, and 2) it sets a precedent that dumping in the water is OK regardless of if its intention or post-event remediation. It’s like they don’t remember the balloon crisis of the 80s. They need to invest in showing that the environment matters to send the proper message about environmental education and sustainability- ESPECIALLY with the current water crisis and what happened with flint Michigan. We need for city governments now more than ever to prioritize their money into ways that help the planet and our community development as a society.

I love my people and I desire their unity and mine back to their own free National and Divine standard because day by day they have been violating the national and constitutional laws of their government by claiming names and principles that are unconstitutional. If Italians, Greeks, English, Chinese, Japanese, Turks, and Arabians are forced to proclaim their free national name and religion before the constitutional government of the United States of America, it is no more than right that the law should be enforced upon all other Amer-I-can citizens alike. In all other governments when a man is born and raised there and asked for his nation-al descent name and if he fails to give it. He is misguided, imprisoned, or exiled. Any group of people that fail to answer up to the constitutional standards of law by name and principles, because to be a citizen of any government you must claim your national descent name, because they place their trust upon issue and names formed by their forefathers.

SCORE department is a joke. Free help is the worse kind of help you can get. I had reached out to them as I'm starting a new business for a sense of direction. All I got was time, money wasted and verbatim "you are in way over your head". I was appalled. This is what you guys call help?? I had gone through not one but two mentors. The first one met with me for 45 minutes and gave me a bunch of flyers and took over a month to provide feedback on the things I gave him to look over. Only for him to say he lost them when I pressed the issue. The second one who has never owned a business and who I never did meet was a dream killer, he spoke in a tone that made you feel like you dont stand a chance by always bringing up more established businesses. I was better off just going on Google and researching things myself. I'm glad SCORE seemed to have worked out for everyone else but I could not have felt more put off than I did with my couple month experience.

The following is a review of the City... Chicago truly is the greatest city in the United States of America, A true hub for innovation, beauty, and some of the greatest people in the Nation. How can we liken any other city in the United States to Chicago? A city so great Frank Sinatra sang to songs about it. Being the Architectural Capitol of the world has been home for: Frank Lloyd Wright, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Louis Sullivan, and the SOM group. Chicago pioneered the worlds first skyscraper, turn- ed the Chicago River backwards, and recovered like no other city after the Great fire of Chicago in 1871. Holding roots to great companies around the Nation and the World making it one of the most important cities on Earth. With it's skyline tall and it shores gleaming Chicago will prosper with the help of our Almighty God and Savoir Jesus Christ.

Today I came to support the Lincoln Park Community Shelter , at the City Council Zoning Commission Board Meeting . LPCS is trying to get a Variance to Build New Facility . They are expanding their Resources by Building & Keeping their Existing Building . There are about 20 Local Residents agsnist LPCS plan to expand , in their neighborhood . I didn't stay to hear their rebuttal . I did hear a tsunami of info supporting LPCS , how & why they started , what they've accomplished , how they choose they're people , all suggesting they are good neighbors ! I find it hard to believe LPCS will be denied they're Variance . Unless , they (Anti- Expansionists) come up with some magic potion , in they're proposal ! Mr. Carlos Navarro Community Leader

After applying for city jobs, one might already end up homeless before a decision is made or a clear response comes along from Chicago's Human Resources. Inefficiency, bureaucracy, senseless tests and the amount of interviews delay potential city workers their opportunity in the job pipeline. Additionally, lack of response and poor communication reveals levels of indifference towards people in the process of recruitment. It just shows that Chicago, regardless of whom is in charge, doesn't care about people. Public sector is meant to assist people, especially in times of crises; to sustain dignified lives by minimizing bureaucratic obstacles and implementing fast and effective hiring policies and procedures. If only, Chicago!

During one of the greatest economic recessions, these city officials think it’s still appropriate to rob peoples’ money. People are struggling to stay afloat, yet these corrupt officials continue stealing via speed cameras. One cannot even avoid the cameras by using public transit because the CTA service is abysmally unreliable. There are literally cities in underdeveloped countries with better transit service. The speed cameras do not improve public safety in any way. People are leaving this city in droves because they can’t stand the corruption and incompetence stemming from city hall. These government officials are either too stupid or too corrupt to do anything to prevent the city’s collapse.

Chicago has become trash, they give unjust parking tickets left & right to make revenue off of honest citizens. I just tried to contest a parking ticket that I shouldn't have even received & the guy conducting my hearing was rude & even hung up on me while I was still speaking. No remorse and the worse part is we pay their salary via our tax dollars. All of these tickets are literally just a cash grab & very unjust. Lori Lightfoot thinks robbing the Chicago people for parking ticket is more important than protecting them from crime & harm. Great priorities Chicago Mayor!

Chicago, on Lake Michigan in Illinois is one of the largest cities in the United States of America. "Chicago City Hall" is the official seat of the Chicago City Government in. It is one of the greatest tourist places in USA, as the City is famous for its architecture, skyscrapers such as the iconic John Hancock Center, 1,451-ft. Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower) and the neo-Gothic Tribune Tower. The city is also renowned for its museums, including the Art Institute of Chicago with its noted Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works.

  • Michele Hayza

Chicago is run by scammers & thugs. It's not called the windy city for nothing!! Lori Lightfoot has taken pictures with LIL DURK. LMAOO THE GOVERNMENT IS A JOKE & THE JOKES ON US. these "elected" officials DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. it's all about the money. GET IT TOGETHER. stand up for your rights. Taxes are through the roof & minimum wage IS NOT A LIVE ABLE WAGE. our money is worthless & fictional, not backed by anything.

  • A. Peeples

I have DEFINITELY seen WIRSE MAYOR'S & CITY WORKERS "BEFORE" This Admin. let me say that 1st..... However, , why isn't a 2nd Podium put out 6ft apart, so that you guys are not stepping into the previous persons breath??? Also, since ur being cautious doctor, why don't the sign language people stand 6ft away from the speakers that remove their masks each time they speak, including YOU Doc

  • Trusty Steering Wheel Tray

This place contains some of the cruddiest people on this planet. Sure, some are okay, but the majority of them are criminals and thugs in suits who don't care about the people, they only care about lining their pockets with donor money and laughing as they watch their city burn to the ground. Cook county is the epitome of crooked government run amok. Shame on these scumbags.

  • Venicegirl27 S

What a crime that you now make Illinois and Chicago taxpayers PAY to skate at Maggie Daley ice ribbon. This used to FREE. Chicago is just one big dump since Lightfoot took over. There is nothing for families to do together anymore. By the time you pay for parking and the skating fees you’re in for about $100! You are all nothing but performative career corrupt politicians.

  • Michael Osmon

What kind of out of touch maniac shuts down state street for hours during dinner time on a Saturday night? If you're gonna create the worst traffic of the year you need to put patrolmen out directing traffic. Shameful. It's no wonder so many people are moving away. Screw the people let's party is the attitude of Lightfoot and all her minions

AZTLAN PAPANTLA (Pano Atl Pantli Tzalan/Pass in between the waterways) Long leafed Herb (Wild Ramp)/ Checagou French transliteration of Illinois Michigamea(Mihshikamea) word Shikakwe. (Alexander von Humboldt was right about the Aztec homeland of Aztlan (Mackinac Island) being north of the 42nd Parallel which passes through Chicago)

  • Volodymyr Matvieiev

Nice place with pleasant feelings and atmosphere, regulation of normative social activity, normative legal shifts. Access to the building is from two streets, beautiful environment and formation of natural regulation. Different social departments to provide different preferences and services. Acceptable matching interior

  • Rudolph Hess

I can’t believe Lightfoot took the Texas bait!!!! Now your economic collapse starts in earnest. Goodbye Chicago!!! Checkmate Texas Gov Abbot. Side note…do you guys still have bodies piled up in the Lightfoot created multi generational ghettos? That’s what you’re known for now. F off Steve Albini nobody cares. …

  • Emily Jordan

Extremely rude! We went to get our marriage license and the 2 security women refused to direct us where to go and when we went the wrong way screamed at us and started telling us we were incompetent of anything. We just walked out as they continued yelling. Never stepping foot in there again…

  • Ahmad zia Mirzad

City of Chicago, it should be called city of thiefs. The judges, the traffic law enforcement, the courts of Chicago are the worst, there’s no justice. All they do is just taking money from the people. I’m tired of this place. I don’t want to live in Chicago anymore under the power of thiefs.

  • John Holton

Nothing looks more depressing than to enter the seat of city government & see it almost completely shut down w/private contract workers taking your temperature and telling you where to go. Once inside the office of need, city staff workers are as efficient and friendly as their leader.

  • Diana Lopez

I had the opportunity to find my grandfather's death certificate, as well as my father's. The entire staff is courteous and friendly. I was able to purchase both for $17.00 each, but if you use a credit or debit card there is a $1.25 surcharge.

  • J Bettinger

Civil rights violations, state law violations, county ordinace violations, city ordinance violations, and department policy violations are an everyday Occurrence for the police department. Ask for name and badge number and see what happens.

  • MidJourney PICS

The City of Chicago's Business License Department has room for improvement. I experienced challenges with staff who seemed unaware or misinformed, which led to inaccurate information that impacted my business. Unfortunately, I had to shut

  • Spencer Wade

Been to the building on several occasions. It's a beautiful old building and people are friendly. The second time got stuck in the elevator and fortunately they responded fast. Don't forget to check out all the shopping while in the area.

  • Margaret Goddard-Knop

Ugh. Open at 8:30 am? But they’ll keep you standing in line until 9:00 or whenever they feel like transacting business ( meaning one single cashier in a facility with 19 cameras and 11 cashiers windows on the DOF side) do better Chicago

  • Joe Ferrante

When hiring employees to work for the government make sure they have some sort of ability to communicate with people. May I recommended some sort of Dale Carnegie training.... The corruption in this city is still very apparent.

  • Schon

Your governor has lost his mind. Introducing a bill that would allow non Americans to be police? Remember, this guy made a law allowing people to defend themselves against unwarranted arrest by an officer. Wow Illinois, wow.

  • George Bonta

I hate this city. I'm sick of waiting 1 hour to find parking and sick of being discriminated from entering half of the facilities my taxes pay for. Sick and tired of the corrupt criminals that run this mess of a city.

  • Jim Jones

We have the best sports teams in the world and I can't forget to mention we have the best food in the world this is a city like no other and there's always something to do look at my Google reviews

Avoid at all cost. Do go for a visit though to see what your taxpayer money is funding. People are EXTREMELY RUDE and unhelpful. In a normal business they would have been fired on their first day.

The main entrance is a bit confusing with the gate passageway. The security will take your temperature and ask general questions regarding covid.
