Surprisingly charming little place. At first, I didn’t think it would be all that great, as it’s just off the High Street, but actually - once you walked through the gate, you wouldn’t even know you were in the middle of a busy town. Just before you get through the gate, on the windowsill on right hand side, you will see free cans if bird food to feed the ducks, geese and other feathery friends that will come to greet you. Unfortunately - you will also see some rats around the pond trying to get hold of a free snack and that is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars.

This a beautiful garden!! I love spending my morning here, ive found the perfect bench that the sunlight reaches through the trees. its so relaxing and beautiful here, its a very small park yet its all you need. theres lots of ducks in the pond and theyre very friendly. one of the neighbours once handed me a pot of seeds to feed the ducks with, and it was very fun. please dont feed them bread! its not good for them :)

Lovely little dark pond tucked away in Upminster. We'll kept, clean and quite. Been coming here for years to feed the ducks. Must make sure to bring bird feed as there are signs everywhere regarding the health implications of feeding the birds the wrong food. There is a lovely little reading corner with story book characters made out of wood. Great place for kids.

Now a shadow of its former self this is still a nice quiet (apart from ducks quacking) oasis away from Upminster town centre. A slow walk around and being careful to avoid the deep puddles from the recent rain meant we (me and doggo) had time to appreciate the surroundings.

Hundreds of quacking Ducks, a murky pond surrounded by mud and trees filled with cooing Pigeons (eyes up people). The glorious smell of Avian defecation and tainted water. Nature at its best. Best be careful when eating your lunch on the lovely benches.

  • Ellie Rapley

There is a lovely lady who lives in the apartment by the gate who leaves tins full of bird seed on her window sill free to anyone who wants to feed the wildlife. She only has two requests one is you return the empty tins and the other is

  • Lee Hickling

A lovely setting, best place for ducks, alot of ducklings and free seed to feed them as you go in. A great place to take your young child for a little walk (about half an hour). We have a 3 year old and she loves it there!

  • Sally-Ann Wakeham

Nice little hidden treasure, enjoyed a little stroll around the water watching the wildlife. Be aware though it is a very small garden but still pleasant.
Dog-friendliness
Saw lots of pooches on lead walks

  • Pam Hadfield

Lovely little garden hidden behind the flats. Has a pretty lake that is great for feeding the ducks, the lady there even gives away free bird food! Don't take bread, it's bad for the birds and not necessary

  • Emma Taylor

Love this place and have been coming for over 30 years. Only fault... You are told not to feed the ducks bread (which I don't have a issue with) and as far as I'm aware nothing else available on site.

  • Alex Fisher

Local quiet gardens with a duck pond and several wooden sculptures. Within the gardens is also Clockhouse Bowls Club. Their are also seeds available to feed the ducks and plenty of benches to sit on.

  • Robert Wigley

Was playing bowls on the green there during the evening. Nice surroundings and pleasantly surprised by a the presence of parakeets making noise a couple of hours before the sun went down.

  • Moley Mole

I love clockhouse gardens, it's so peaceful. Lovely place to come and clear your head, and spend a little time with the ducks and geese around the lake. Great photo opportunities too.

  • Dave MORRISON

In desperate need of maintenance. The pond has not been cleaned and with lower water levels it smells even on a cold winters day. Such a shame. Lots of geese, ducks and parokeets.

  • Andrew R

Great little place, the lady who lives in the flats nearby normally provides free food for you to provide the birds which is rather nice. A relaxing place to spend a bit of time.

  • Sherrie Oneill

  • Piers Sturley

Quiet and pleasant place to sit with many benches. Very sedate pond, grassy area with children's play area. Great deal of ornithological bird life here.

  • Shaw Rayment

Small but extremely pleasant Park to walk around. Not the place to lounge in the sun but definitely a lovely intimate spot with a very scenic view.

  • Mick Lifton

Nice place for a short walk or part of a longer one, with Bonnets wood opposite the car park. Various water foul, parakeets and songbirds to see.

This is a lovely place to walk around and see the ducks. My little girl loves all types of bird so this place is always so magical for her.

Needs some money spent on planting, grass and general tidy up needed.. Nevertheless, a nice enough place to relax and watch the ducks.

Peaceful little oasis in Upminster blighted only by large numbers of geese and their associated droppings.

OK but spoilt by the Canadian geese. They are breeding out of control and spoiling the park and lake!
