Facilities at this train station have had minimal upgrades since when the platforms were rebuilt in 1959. There is no lift at this station. There is an automated Opal Card ticketing machine at the station. Minimal shelter from the weather. Toilets are located in the northern platform. The women’s toilet has a small waiting room. There is street parking located on the north and south side of the station. The safest place to park would be on the southern side of the station. Trains that service the western and inner west train line stop at this station. The nearest bus stop is located on Parramatta Road to the north. There are also buses located about a kilometre to the south on Blaxcell Street - these buses (M91) travel to Chester Hill, Padstow, Bankstown and Hurstville. The Carlingford train line services begin and end at Clyde - although in August 2017 the state government flagged that the Carlingford line will be shut down sometime in the future. A Parramatta light rail service will operate north of Parramatta Road and reconnect with the rail corridor at Camellia and travel north to Carlingford. When the light rail service begins it will not be possible to travel from Clyde to Carlingford on a train or light rail service - it is most likely that this station could be shutdown once the Carlingford rail line is replaced. This train station opened in 1882.
Clyde Station, as a transportation hub, has room for improvement in terms of staff courtesy and accessibility features. Ensuring a respectful and accommodating environment for all passengers, regardless of their needs, should be a priority. Addressing these concerns will help enhance the overall experience for commuters using the station. I've also shared photos of the Auburn Stabling Yard where it actually shares a special place in your head where it's at least better than a station for a junkies hang out.
Worst station i've ever been, no lift makes it hard for ppl with pram, disability and elderly to access. They do have stairlift which isn't working and nobody answer when u call, and once i missed train and have to wait another 30 minutes because they change platform without even announce it and also nothing on screen. One more, the toilet often locked so u can't use it, so ridiculous!! Unfortunately i have to go to this station every sunday because my church is in clyde. What a shame!!!
No lifts here !!!! Its pretty old but maintained ok. Trains are not very frequent so make sure you check the time table before you arrive. Very small kiosk at the station when you get up the stairs available to buy drinks or snack but not many options. With the recent industrial development around the area it is probably time to at least put a lift on the station.
An historic station from a bygone era. Perhaps not treated as it once would have been. A working man's station for the vast industries that existed in close proximity during the WW2 years and after. Directly nearby the Clyde Engineering works existed and that plant was responsible for producing many world class steam locomotives including the first five 38 class.
This station is nearby Auburn Maintanence Center. 10min walk between clyde station to Maintanence Center. Way between these 2 can't be found in Google map, better to ask nearby if you are planning to visit maintanence center from clyde station. 1st train to Strathfield, city centre starts at 4:15am. Opal card can be used, standpost ticket machine.
Worst station, with horrible, incompetent staff who don't care if the trains are late and make you run to catch the connecting city train with little regard to actually making them wait when it's their fault the train is late to start with!! Completely outdated station. Hate having to commute from there!!
Horrible station. No lifts and the Carlingford line is an unreliable joke. Without notice trains don't run or are replaced by buses. A small positive is they've recently upgraded the trains. I feel sorry for the station attendant who remains polite in response to all the commuter grumbles.
A very small and simple station. The starting point of Carlingford line service.Staffs are friendly but sometimes it’s hard to find them.Toilet remains locked up so unfortunately if there is no staff nobody can use the restroom.
It is actually one of those old stations in which there weren't much thing s except a bench and you have to walk on feet to reach other platforms so Clyde needs to be a bit mordern.
The station has 4 platforms and the Hornsby via central service and the T2 Leppigton service and the other services stops at Clyde station.the station is very small.
they indicate the wrong platform and make us run when we found the train in another platform and we finally missed it.. totally disgusting …
Clean and often One of the clean and quiet station in western Sydney. But, not many trains stop here. I found toilets clean couple of times.
No lift in this station which is surprising given that it is a public place and old people and people with pram going through this station.
I don’t know his name.. I left my priceless gift at platform 2 and the staff kept it for me. Thank you so much!! I heartily appreciate it
What's the point of this station? Why not walk to Granville because it's a stone throw away from here! No elevators‽ CLOSE THIS STATION!
Great place to watch trains with grandson especially if interested in trains. You can go on platform as there are no barriers to get in
Some streets are narrow, potholes in a few places. Great small area, convenient to stores, pubs and public transport.
DELAYS ON T2 LINE - USE ALTERNATE TRANSPORT!
