My recent experience at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center was amazing from the minute I walked into registration. Sylvia was so sweet and efficient. She explained everything I was putting my signature on. In same day surgery Dena started my iv - I didn’t even feel it. She was so nice and helpful. She also drew my labs. Sharon was also involved in my same day experience and she was super nice. She made sure everything was in order. Anesthesiologist explained everything that he was going to give me and he listened to my concerns. Matt kept me comfortable in recovery and made sure I wasn’t in any pain. My best friend Heather was with me in recovery so I really had no worries there. My inpatient experience was one of the best I ever have had. My nurse during the day was Jenna B. She always checked on me and made sure I was comfortable. She was always on time with my medications. She was absolutely wonderful. So sweet, easy to talk to and always made me feel important. Jeannette my MA for day shift and she was great. Very personable and nice. Always taking my vitals always asking me if I needed anything. Very good at her job. My Night shift nurse was Carla. I could tell from the beginning that she has been a nurse for a very long time. She knew her business. Carla had skills that new nurses don’t have but will acquire over time. She had a nursing student with her and her name was Brooklyn. It was her last day being a student nurse. I could tell that Carla was the one that had been training her by the excellent skills she had passed on to Brooklyn, she will be an excellent nurse./ midwife when she is completely done with her schooling. My physical therapist was sweet Tessa. So young and efficient too. She taught me how to get in and out of bed, how to climb stairs and go back down them. Taught me how important it was to start walking after having back surgery. Totally taught me the right body mechanics for the type of surgery I had. Then there was Joan that went beyond her job by making sure my insurance would cover me for a home pneumatic leg compression machine because of my previous DVT. I give Salt Lake Regional 5 stars for a job well done by the professionals I had for my surgery.
I will eventually get to the part that won you 2 stars, but even before checking in at the hospital we dealt with some huge frustrations. We reached out to our doctors office to see if it might be possible to schedule for the following week, that was a Friday. Our doctors office replied by end of day that it could be scheduled and we would hear from someone. By Wednesday we were still waiting to hear from the hospital or the doctors office. We left three voice mails, unable to speak to anyone in persons. We decided on Thursday that it most likely wouldn’t happen. By late afternoon we were contacted by our doctor and the hospital. The information was different for both calls: report at 8:30, report at 10:00 one hour of pre op, short time for pre op lying flat for two hours then the anesthesiologist said he would be lying flat for 6 hours just prior to the procedure Still having questions we arrived just before 10:00 am. Still wondering we planed to be done and home by 5:00 pm. We left our house before 9:00 am and arrived home at 8:50 pm, 12 hours later. It appeared that the hospital had issues, public bathroom door was broken and didn’t lock, we hunted for kleenexes in our room and surrounding rooms and finally got a tissue from the nurses desk, we did grab something from the cafeteria, maybe a low two for cleanliness and quality. And the two stars…given to the staff, doctors and people who were working under difficult circumstances but did an exceptional job caring for the needs of my husband. Not anxious to return, to many things needed to be addressed!
IF YOU CAN, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. My grandma years ago was treated really badly here. It was one of the few places IN network with my insurance so I thought I would give it a try for my surgery since it's been a long time . Bad choice. Nothing seems to have changed with service or the actual hospital. My surgeon and the post pacu were fine. But the nurses that took me to help me get ready from anesthesia to go home, were absolutely horrible. I couldn't wake up, my oxygen would drop and they would have to rub my chest to tell me to take a deep breath...but the nurse was saying that I was ready to go home 5 minutes after I got there. The nurse would constantly go over to my wife telling her I was fine and not feeling the way I was telling her I felt, instead of helping get me remedies for my nausea , pain , all while hallucinating from the anesthesia. To make matters worse, it's hard enough having to recover and go through a surgery. Financially, Salt Lake Regional is a mess. They expected me 1 week before coming to surgery to come with an Out of Pocket of over $2,000. Knowing that I've had instacare visits, dr visits, and other family that had COVID earlier this year. Our medical situation in fact was so bad this year we had already met our Deductible after a couple weeks into January. The hospital for this nightmare of a visit, and releasing me home too soon, charged $22,000 . The only assistance is a payment plan too expensive to pay while recovering and managing all other medical bills.
I am not impressed with their billing. I found a bill that I had misplaced for $123. I went online to pay it and found out they had turned it over to collections. I looked at the date and the bill was 4 months old. They never sent any follow up bills that I know of. I called the billing office and they confirmed it was sent to collections and gave me the collection agency's information. I then called the collection agency and they asked me to verify my address. It was not the address they had on file. SLRMC had given the collection agency my address from 17 years ago! I never once received any notice that the bill was going to collections, no communication from the collection agency either because they had the wrong address on file provided by SLRMC. How does this happen? SLRMC had my correct address upon admission, verified it before leaving, sent the initial bill to my correct address but yet turned the minimal balance over to collections with an incorrect address. Oh yeah, and all of the phone numbers they have, mine, my spouse, emergency contacts, why bother to ask for the numbers if you cannot make a phone call to say, "We have been trying to contact you via mail for an unpaid balance on your account. We are attempting to contact you via telephone before sending this on to collections."
I wouldn't recommend anyone use this facility. My husband and I both had elective surgeries done here and both times the facility was disgusting. My husband even ended up with an infection that we had to get treated at the ER at home. First as you can see in the photos I've attached, there was jello and sticky stuff on and around the end tables and the roll around table, not from us. On my bed there was a hair ball that wasn't from me, when I told the nurse she was just like eww amd did nothing about it..... All of the floors were absolutely filthy. My bathroom was dirty and the gloves in the sink and on the floor were nasty.... then you throw in that the staff when both of us were there 2 weeks apart were almost all new like in clinicals or just graduated and they were lost. They couldn't find veins, I ended up having to have them redo my IV more than once bc my arm started swelling with fluid. Then she went to take the garbage she dropped when changing it out and came back in with the same gloves and was going to touch me again.... like NO. Not to mention they never called to tell me what time my surgery was scheduled for. I had to call them. Overall a horrible experience both times.
On our arrival for entrance at the ER we met with a very competent and kind young woman who did the entrance paperwork. The room in which I was placed had a very lovely and capable nurse named Kelsey. She was efficient and informative. Unfortunately, when she gave me a robe be seated in the bed there must’ve been bed bugs on the bed as the next day my entire pack was covered with bites. The attending resident was kind and considerate as well as the circulating doctor. I was hooked up to an IV to receive fluids and had about reached my capacity to retain them. I was very much in need of going to the restroom and was told that I was rude by a nurse who was at the station that evening.I wonder if she has personally had the experience of having Covid and not being able to get to a restroom when she needed to. I found her behavior highly offensive. and not at all suitable for her profession. No I will most definitely not return to Salt Lake regional if I need medical assistance. I greatly appreciate the close proximity but I found the overall experience very disappointing.
Holy Cross nurses in general are some the most uncultured people to exist. (I'm talking like the rebrand effort .......i 'm worrying that I may say something wrong.... I'm worrying about this and itself) is a mark.... if you're in my area find a university of Utah (UofU) instead.... you'll get same level of care and they (unlike Holy Cross) will treat you like a human...they do have chance for improvement but they kinda like sara they're way through.... note on here (Google reviews) there is no option for an advocate but don't be afraid to speak your place with them. If random object hit a femoral artery sure maybe ok with no choice they're just closest..... they are better than self care though they barely make the cut.. I'll use culture again... wasn't just the nurse it's the environment it was allowed to spread then (based on follow up in person visits to try and reach an advocate. So if you're on here looking for answers do not be afraid to use the Patient Advocate who works for you! She was very communicative and collating the evidence last I talked.
This hospital has been pretty good up until tonight a few days ago I went into the emergency room from a spider bite . Tonight it has gotten worse. I had my children pick me up to take me to the emergency room . We were put in room 3 I have never gone into a hospital room or a doctor's visit and be placed in a dirty room with the person before me things . Opened rappers from everything they had to use on the floor and the table they use to put supplies on when caring for patients As well as dirty used gauze . When I brought it to the nurses attention he looked at me and said it just got missed but everything was wiped down. So you wiped everything down but you put the garbage back on top of it instead of throwing it in the garbage he stood there just looking at me I told him well you obviously don't think it's a problem it's okay I'll pick it up .He then put on gloves and started picking up everything to throw it in the garbage so I left without being seen that was not okay.
They were exceptional at getting to me within 5 minutes of me getting to the hospital. My grandmas ring got stuck in my finger for 2 days and anything and everything that I tried didn’t work. We drove from the Salt Flats to the hospital due to the swelling and possible loss of nerve function and blood flow. They cut it off in about 5 minutes or less. A mini can opened was used for last of terminology. They cut it in 2 spots and gave me the ring in a baggie so I would not lose it. They were very nice and efficient. Being out of state going to different hospitals isn’t the greatest but this facility was AMAZING!! I would give them 10 Start if I was able too! They were incredibly nice and they were very talkative and personal, made me feel relaxed and at ease knowing the ring had to be cut with a mini can opener. They were all phenomenal at there jobs and they took me back within 5 minutes of me getting there. THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY VERY SWOLLEN FINGER!!
I was sent to the ER by my primary care physician due to dehydration. I was subsequently mistreated by the ER staff and doctor. One nurse was unable to draw blood despite repeated attempts. The doctor yelled at me when I ate a few French fries. She said I might have to have surgery for my gall bladder and eating would delay it. As it turns out, I never needed the surgery. I was eventually admitted and moved to the 4th floor. The staff upstairs were better but the my room was cold and they had to pile blanket after blanket on me to keep me warm. My doctor one day spent 1 minute with me and I never saw him again. About all he said was he wanted me to stay another day. A variety of tests were ordered, X rays, CT scan, MRI. I was never told any results. So disappointed. When I was finally released, they left an IV needle in my arm! I had to return to have it removed. Grrrr!
Had a minor procedure done here and I cannot recommend this facility enough. I am fortunate in that I don’t have a ton of experience with outpatient care of times in medical facilities. My anxiety was pretty high regarding the whole day but at every point in the process the professionals here did a stellar job. Demetrius a veteran checked us in and was incredibly pleasant, welcoming and even noticed an issue with the billing that was corrected. Our nurse was just transferred and in charge of the out patient nurses I think his name was Tom. Very cheerful guy a ton of jokes and make the experience better. Mind you they sometimes run behind schedule wise it’s nothing out of the ordinary. Everyone else whose names I didn’t recall was helpful and welcoming as well. Can’t say enough great things about my time here. Thanks everyone
Everyone that we encountered was just the Epitome of professionalism and caring and kindness not to mention their knowledge base was excellent! I thoroughly enjoyed the conversations that we had with Demetrious and registration such a kind soul. Same thing with all of the OR staff they were pleasant knowledgeable and most importantly this hospital system did not give me any grief about my service dog! Everyone seemed to have been educated on how to deal with the presence of a service animal. I cannot tell you how wonderful the care I got was from the anesthesiologist Dr. Howard And the nurse Hannah Lee. Even the medical techs were wonderful kind. I have already told so many of my friends that called to check on me how wonderful my stay in Salt Lake regional horse keep up the good work and thanks for all your caring
My wife has been in four different hospitals in the salt lake area in the past year, this place is totally amazing all the way from the surgeons down to the janitorial staff, even being an older one in the valley far far better than some newer ones, this is out of our insurance network and I would pay the extra fees just to come here, I have never felt so much kindness, caring, respect or love from perfect strangers in any hospital in this valley and at our age I've been in alot,Lisa maxfield patient advocate, Demetris in admitting, nursing staff Dina,Jocelyn, Rachelle, anetheolgist Matt, and our amazing doctor and surgeon Steven Larson, and so many many more to even mention, and the nurse in the I.C.U. that barely left my wife's side, I thank you, this place lives up to their name as closely as they can, HOLY CROSS
I was absolutely very impressed with Salt Lake Regional Hospital. My surgeon Yvonne Hsu is wonderful. Her care and compassion is fantastic. The entire staff from checking in to being released was excellent. It was a difficult surgery for me and everyone was top notch. All of my nurses were very good and I would like to personally thank each and everyone including the MA's.The Anesthesiologist was the best that I have ever encountered and I have had numerous surgeries. My patient advocate Lisa Maxfield was a pleasant part of my journey. She was definitely a ray of Sunshine through my ordeal. Thanks again to you all! I would highly recommend this Hospital. Now the journey to recovery is a rough one but God willing things will get better soon.
My wife went in for surgery. Doctor Hsu was great . The house keeping was terrible . There was zero paper towels in the bath room in the room and had ask numerous times for them. After two day as we were leaving they came in and filled the dispenser. Lisa Maxfield (patient advocate) was very nice and also requested for paper towels twice. One other thing , when we were in the preparation room right before surgery they put her wrist band on to tight. they removed and reattached it but it would not work for scanning through the whole time we were there. They should of printed a new one right at the beginning . Nurse Wade and the nurse with him in training were great.
I would not recommend this emergency room to anyone. My wife was taken to the hospital due to a seizure and they treated her as if she was overdosing and there was ZERO urgency. The room she was placed in was dirty with wrappers everywhere and also blood from the previous patience(s). Not only was the facility disgusting but so was the "professionalism" of the ER staff. The comments they were making about other patience in the facility was so unprofessional and disheartening that care givers could talk so badly about people in various conditions right in front of other patience and their loved ones. Not a place that I will ever take a loved one to again.
I was recently a patient at SLC regional and I just wanted to say I had a great experience. From the time of admission, to the time of discharge, I was treated with great care and compassion by every employee I came into contact with. Samantha, Addy, Kareena. Leslie were all so amazing and made it as comfortable as a hospital stay can possibly be! I was a high maintenance patient the first two days and they never made me feel bad for it. I can’t remember the name of my first nurse but I think it was Allison. Anyway, everyone was amazing and I would recommend this hospital to anyone who wanted to feel they are in great hands! THANK YOU!
I’m not the type to leave reviews, but I just have to publicly thank the entire staff my husband and I worked with today at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center. I felt taken care and in good hands. Thank you so much to the sweetest man that admitted us, Darrien or Darrius (not sure if I’m correct), my nurses, Robin and Doni (I hope that’s right), the sonographer, our advocate, Lisa, and lastly a huge thank you to Dr. Jonathan Daniels. Thank you so much for making me feel like person and not just a patient with a dollar sign on my forehead. It makes a big difference when you’re treated with care and compassion. Thank you so so much!
My son got his tonsils removed and for any parent the pre-op process is terrifying but our pre-op nurse Allison did such an amazing job with my 3 year old son and making him comfortable. Dr. Howard was his anesthesiologist and he was absolutely wonderful with explaining the whole process and medications to us. Our PACU nurse Holly and post-op nurse Kate did wonderful also! I’m overall happy with our experience. Dr. Bennett was our surgeon and did an amazing job explaining everything to us in his office prior to surgery and giving me a post-op call after the surgery was done. Communication went very smoothly for us!
Don't go to the ER here for an emergency. The ER triage lady at the front desk, so incredibly RUDE. I was there for 8 hours, after waiting for 30 minutes with possible appendicitis, while a person came in to get stitches removed went ahead of me. It's like she was trying to punish me for being in pain. Then they told me, good news you don't have appendicitis. I left and ended up back in a different ER. Two days later Salt Lake Regional calls and tells me I "probably have appendicitis". The lady at the check-in is the opposite of compassionate, her and her coworker were laughing and whispering. It was horrible.
First and last time using this ER. Went in for Covid related pneumonia. Confirmed with chest X-ray. Nurse was flat out lazy, did not even take my temperature! Bare minimum care and treatment given. Hospital room and bathroom needed cleaned. I wasn’t even offered a blanket while I waited and no privacy. Staff did not have a mask on while sitting at the desk. If I have to have any further treatment it will NOT be at this hospital! Slack medical care during a pandemic or anytime is not acceptable! I certainly hope the next time I need care, the next hospital in SLC is better than this one!
These stars are for Lisa Maxfield, NOT FOR Salt Lake Regional Hospital where I had my surgery one week before it became Holy Cross again. Lisa Maxfield, my patient advocate, made an otherwise miserable experience with the facility bearable. She went out of her way to help me where the nurses were lacking and cheered me up each time she walked in my room. She truly is the sweetest, most comforting person and lifted my spirits whenever I saw her. She followed up with me after I was discharged and personally helped with my discharge and the pharmacy on my way out. 5 Stars for Lisa!!!
Steward is a mess and DOES not care about their patients. I was never given notice that my primary care Dr was moving out of state until she was already gone. All it takes is a simple letter or email. I’ve called several times for help with access to the patient portal and no one can help or they do not answer the phones. I have not had access for over two weeks. The MA/office staff in sugarhouse still have not called me back after medication discontinuation follow up questions. Just overall disregard from this group on patient care, I need more help and will go elsewhere.
The doctors, nurses and rest of the staff at Salt Lake Regional is amazing. I had surgery here and they made the experience as good as it could possibly be. My nurse Kennedy was the absolute sweetest and most caring nurse I have ever had. She did an amazing job taking care of me and making me feel like I was her only patient. Dr. Lilja is the absolute best Dr. I have ever seen in my 37 years. She was supportive. Checked on me multiple times. She is brilliant. Called me after I went home. Kept me in the line of communication. I loved her and would recommend her to anyone.
I was apprehensive of having major surgery at such a small facility but the level of care here was far beyond anything I could have hoped for. They are clean, coordinated, and most importantly so friendly and helpful. My nurses Harlee and Lauren were so kind and caring and helpful along with all the other amazing staff members that assisted me during my overnight stay. The menu looked really good as well although I was limited on my options due to my procedure. Definitely would recommend them to others if they are considering going here.
Not sure what’s going on with the new owners but boy has this place slid. Arrived on time for my check in for a minor surgery and got processed. I was told a nurse would be out shortly. 40 minutes later nothing and the intake people all left for the day. I have to call the main line, they’re like “we were wondering where you were.” Staff were competent but many seemed kinda dejected. One told me new owners layed off over 100 employees so they were perpetually short staffed. Used to be my favorite facility but not sure I’d go back.
We had an emergency while traveling and came to Salt Lake Regional! The staff was so organized and the team work in the ER and in ICU was the best ive ever seen in years! They really live up to the billboard signs! The Director of ICU John, came by to make sure our needs were being met, and had our short term paperwork completed with in 24 hours. The entire staff here not only gave my husband the best care but also gave me the support i needed in a time i thought i may lose my husband. Thank you everyone with all my ❤ .
Wish there was a zero star feature for this emergency room. Absolutely horrible doctors and nurses , no empathy nor care towards patients and the mocking of patients after they leave is absolutely disgusting. I will be reporting this facility and the nurses and doctor who took care of me. None of you deserve to work with people ever. There is no next time care for me at this facility either and I wish I would have recorded my experience there and how they would mock patients. Absolutely disgusting behavior.
I was just trying to make a call about a bill from my sons ER visit because he has Medicaid but I had the absolute disgust and displeasure of getting the passive aggressive and extremely stuck up phone operator “Amy” who kept hanging up on me mid sentence. She is the absolute worst and most disrespectful “thing” you could put behind a phone. I would suggest you don’t call and talk to the operator ever unless you want to be disregarded as a human being or unless this hospital makes some changes.
Honestly wish this place was in Colorado or at least the people. I had to do a very minor surgery here. The nurses in the same day center were just awesome. All coordinated nurses, all very informative, all very happy and great to work with. I have tricky veins and you know they were able to realize that right away and get someone to do it. Normally I just get pricked a bunch till it works. I'm so happy I was able to experience such an organized and calming atmosphere for my first surgery.
Never had surgery before but all of the folks were very kind and understanding. I was really nervous and they helped me feel more comfortable. The nurses and everyone there, before and after, were very friendly. It was nice that they confirmed a lot with me as well. I woke up not even knowing that the surgery even happened. So I’m grateful that it was seamless and that I have a follow up appointment coming up to discuss the procedure and my healing. Thanks everyone for taking care of me!
Is there a 0 star review? I dont know if my dad had an option to choose a hospital for his surgery but this one sucks!!! Dr Atherton is the best!! I love him. But the nurses in the floor are extremely rude. You ask questions and they kind of ignore you, you ask for things that the patient needs and they take forever to bring it even tho there’s not that many patients in this floor. Rooms are so gross. Looks dirty, old. Definitely needs better personal here.
We had to go to this hospital for heart surgery and the staff and Dr were amazing. The hospital had some mechanical problems but the staff was very kind. Lisa was incredibly knowledgeable and very helpful during this time. Lisa helped us as the family know what was going on the entire time we were at the hospital and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. I can not say enough about how helpful and compassionate Lisa was and how kind the staff was.
While having knee surgery isn’t a pleasant experience, the staff at Holy Cross hospital went out of their way to provide excellent care. Everyone in every role was kind, professional, capable, friendly, and compassionate. I’m grateful that this hospital provides such skilled services. I’m also thankful that the hospital provides Lisa Maxfield, a patient advocate, although I had no need of her services. Thank you so much!
The experience for me at Holy Cross Hospital SLC was fantastic from pre-op to my overnight stay on the third floor. I was well attended to by Kate, Lisa and Peggy. My first visit to a hospital since I was a kid and was really impressed with the professionalism and care. It was also a nice touch upon departure to have a Patient Advocate, Lisa give me contact info in the event I had any follow up concerns.
I don't care who sees this. Dr. Hawkes needs his license revoked. He is RUDE and has zero bedside manner. And nurse Sidney needs to be fired for her attitude. I have NEVER been treated so poorly in all my life. I would never go back to this hospital. I wouldn't even take a dying snake here. This hospital needs shut down and every ER staff member re-educated on bedside manners. Extremely unprofessional.
I recently had an overnight stay at Salt Lake Regional. I was a little nervous at first because I have never been there before, but I was so pleasantly surprised. The care was excellent, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the nurses, doctors and entire staff were great. This is the 3rd hospital in Salt Lake that I've stayed at and it is my favorite. I highly recommend this hospital!!
The last time I was there, they were fantastic I loved my nurses . I had been there year's ago during covid-19 and I hated my doctor I wish I could remember his name . So a year ago I went to that hospital south state and will never go back because of the nurses. I ended back in here and I give all if them 110%. The doctor's I had were the best. Dr Memon was so sweet. I WILL GO THERE ANY TIME
I received excellent medical care from the get-go. It was just moments after I was wheeled into the ER that the nurses and doctors came to my aid. I felt their compassion. These well trained professionals were well prepared to meet my needs. My recovery after I left the hospital was swifter and safer because of the counsel and advice I received from The nurse and Doctor Who served me.
My husband has had over a dozen procedures/surgeries during the past 20 months in 4 states and 8 different hospitals. We have never had a “patient advocate” before we met Lisa Maxfield at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center. She was such a fun breath of fresh air and made us feel right at home and very comfortable during this stressful time. What a nice and unexpected service.
Who goes into the hospital for a surgery and has a pleasant experience from the moment they enter and exit, well I did! The staff was amazing! Special thanks to Tina, Elliot, Cooper & Lisa Maxfield! Lisa was there every step of the way with encouragement, comfort, and laughter! And, most of all Dr. Joel MacDonald BIG THANKS, you changed my life for the better!
Don’t you dare say the word “pain” or they will send you on your way. All of these providers are scared to death now about prescribing opioids ever since that whole Purdue fiasco. That’s why so many people use heroin because it’s cheaper to get heroin on the streets than it is to go to the ER and get FDA approved drugs. Way to keep up your oath Doctors
I was comforted and extremely impressed with the professionalism and caring of all of the Sale Lake Regional Medical. Center staff. I had taken a serious face plant on a sidewalk while out for a walk with my daughter and grandson. I was given a CT-scan and after the test was given an explanation that was reassuring and understandable to a lay person.
I had a great experience at the Salt Lake Regional Medical Center. Dr. Medlin is the best! Nurses, Diane & Sam, took excellent care of me. The whole staff were all so friendly. I've had a lot of surgeries in my life and have been in big hospitals where you don't get as good of service or attentive care as you do in a hospital like this one.
Needed to understand my medication schedule after being released from the hospital. One call to Lisa and she went to work to gather the information that should have been included with my discharge. This was 7 pm BTW. She called back with detailed medication schedule and was very verbose with the medication details and such. Hugely helpful.
The entire experience was beyond incredible , and this is after all was done before surgery preparation , just to find out my surgery was canceled just before I was to go in , by something out of control on anyone's fault, and even then I was kept well informed about what was happening..thank You all and see you soon.. …
I had a heart scan done on October 9th, I was told result of my scan would be send to my family doctor & myself the next day. It's been 10 days & no result, I called the Holycross Radiology and was told they're running two weeks behind. This is not acceptable for medical services. Definitely wouldn't recommend Holycross!!
They can't do their job wouldn't give my wife the patient any information regarding her stay and they told her they would update me on her stay and never called when she was given a release date they changed it because the doctor somehow forgot to put the order in for a medication he wanted her to take the night before
In 1996 I had my daughter in this hospital, by that time I did not speak English very well, but one of the nurses was so rude, I still feel negative toughs just to think about that day, I should I have a nice experience, but instead I have a nightmare, since then I have never returned to the hospital. Angelina
I was rushed there yesterday for an emergency surgery and they took very good care of me. Every staff member was very nice, helpful, and understanding of my pain and my needs. Best experience I’ve ever had at a hospital. Thank you so much for your care and service.
At every stage of my pre and post care for a hip replacement, I was treated with compassion and care. If in the future I need more surgery I would recommend Holy Cross Hospital. It's the people who make up a good hospital, and I could not have asked for better.
My sincere thanks to all who helped me from the moment I walked onto the first floor of the hospital until I was released and taken to my car. Everyone was very kind, helpful, and cheerful. Many thanks to Dr. Hsu. I never thought I'd have a painless operation.
I have had multiple surgeries and think this hospital is the best. Dimitri was very kind and efficient while checking me in for surgery. The nurses and techs are outstanding! Everyone cares for me as a person not just a responsibility. Thanks to all of you.
Ended up having to go to the ER on October 24th. Everyone working that day was nothing but professional, took the time to listen to my concerns, explain what needed to be done so I understood and treated me with the upmost dignity. Thank you!
Lisa (patient relations) was fantastic. Don’t know what we would have done without her. The hospital had mechanical issues which caused us to make multiple visits down. I don’t think I would use this facility again if I had a choice.
Great staff. Everyone was so nice and accommodating, very knowledgeable and helpful. 3rd floor staff and Dr. Macdonald were excellent! The food was very good also. This will be the hospital of choice if another surgery is needed.
I loved all the nurses and doctors. Amazing helpful staff. They make you feel taken care of. I've never been to this hospital for surgery but they were great. I have a second surgery coming up and im actually not so nervous now.
This was my first time at this hospital so I was a little apprehensive. My fear dissipated as I was warmly greeted by caring and knowledgeable staff who answered all my questions and concerns. I would gladly go there again.
I just had a mammogram there today...Karen is the BEST! She was so kind and funny and made an uncomfortable experience 10x better. If you are looking for a great place for imaging or mammogram, I would highly recommend!
The nurses where so amazing with my mother and the doctors explained to my mom exactly what he would be doing for her surgery. Very thankful for how they treated my mother. They were very sweet people.
My mom has had surgery twice here at SLC Regional/ Holy Cross and both times she has been well cared for. The folks in admission are warm and friendly and the nursing staff capable and attentive.
Great Doctor, nurses and front desk agent. They were so sweet and helpful to me during a traumatic and confusing time. My ER experience was so kind. Thank you guys for treating me so well.
I can’t say enough about my night nurses CJ and Elliot. They made my overnight stay as pleasant as could be. If I’m ever back at HolyCross I hope they are assigned to me again
So happy the name is changed back to Holy Cross Hospital, which was the best hospital in Utah. Hope the service will equal the service provided by the wonderful Catholic nuns.
All the staff are just lovely. Including the housekeeper Sharon! Kate, Tasha, and ,Leslie were amazing! And you have good coffee.
The nurses here and the patient advocate are truly amazing in so many ways. We are so grateful for the team we had.
The staff here is absolutely amazing!! They took amazing care of me while I was being monitored after my surgery!
Nurse Karen Figueredo is the most kind, caring, empathic nurse that I’ve ever met.
