Its a good fitness center. They have sauna, steam room and spinning studio and have a bunch of classes everyday. They have plenty of machines for working out and it's quite spacious. The trainers are very friendly and very approachable of you need any assistance. However, I do feel that this gym needs an upgrade. The machines and benches are showing signs of wear and tear and some of the machines/benches are rickety. But, other than that it's a good place to workout. Edit: 6/21/2018 I have been coming here for more than a year now and in that time this gymnhas gone from ok to bad to falling apart bad! The equipments were old to begin with but they have put in little effort to maintain them. Most benches are rickety and wobble during excercise. They don't let you use some equipment unless you have a personal trainer! This is unfair, why do I have to have a personal trainer to use some 'off limots' equipment. I pay the monthly fee like everyone else. They have leaks everywhere, I mean everywhere. Even on the main workout floor. And these leaks have gone unfixed for months now. I see no effort to maintain and repair. This gym is in decline. They have very poor ventilation and instead of fixing the ventilation system they have put in these huge fans that blast air in your face as you pass by them. Its just another example of abysmal management! I won't be surprised if someday the roof collapses or if someone gets injured due to equipment failure! I highly suggest not being a member here!
Love love love this gym! It’s such a gem & perfect little escape in a super commercial part of the city. Between the dedicated staff, huge selection of equipment, and the stellar amenities, you really can’t go wrong here. I’ve taken classes with Yana, Lloyd, J.I. & Gigi, and they’re all brilliant instructors who really put in time and effort to make sure their classes work different muscle groups and are structured to have variety. I learned to box from J.I.! And I can play pretend I’m a ballerina in Gigi’s barre fusion class while working muscles I genuinely didn’t know existed. Yana’s classes taught me proper form for a ton of different exercises, and she designs the exercise sets & series with incredible precision, and Lloyd‘s classes are always the perfect level of challenging and intense for optimal muscle & cardio burn. I also bought a personal training package with Marina, who does a superb job teaching me the basics and not-so-basic intricacies of strength training, and she shows me how to work out to really make an impact on and see a difference in all my muscle groups. And the manager, Lauren, is always helpful, responsive, and fun to talk to about literally anything in the world. Lastly, the amenities are top notch. That sauna is absolutely my therapy, and spending so much time in FiDi would have been a much worse experience without that sanctuary. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thanks for doing such an amazing job!!!!!
Although I appreciate the convenience of this gym's proximity to my job, there are areas for improvement in regards to the behavior of some of the trainers towards other members. It is crucial to create an environment where trainers and their clients can seamlessly work alongside other members without any feeling of inferiority. Unfortunately, I have encountered a particular trainer interrupting my workout on multiple occasions for his clients to take over the equipment. This morning, the same trainer occupied several stations in the gym for over 30 minutes, causing confusion about their availability. When I attempted to use a station that had been unused for over 10 minutes, the trainer condescendingly informed me about his preferred equipment for certain exercises, although he was unaware of the exercises I was doing. This unsolicited advice was unnecessary and unwelcome. The trainer further disrupted my workout by asking me to move my weights to a different station, only to later decide that he and his client did not require the equipment after all. I strongly suggest that management discusses with trainers how to structure their work to ensure that all members can work out together in a trustworthy and harmonious environment.
I was originally a member of Asphalt Green's upper east side gym when I lived in midtown, it was awesome. When I moved down to the financial district area, I transferred my membership to the Battery Park Asphalt Green and was immediately disappointed by the lack of equipment in the gymnasium and how they treat you as a paycheck rather than a customer (they give you a bunch of "free" guess passes but if you bring a guest more than once they charge you $20 - which doubles in cost each time you bring the guest). I decided to join Complete Body as they had all the equipment I needed and more, and they have it at a reasonable price. The gym has never been too busy so I am always able to workout without any interruption. Additionally, the staff are all very friendly and the trainers are more than happy to assist, even if you are not paying for a training session. Complete Body also has a licensed physical therapist on staff who quickly helped me recover from a knee injury that I had been afflicted with for several months (the physical therapy sessions are complementary with a gym membership, it's an unbelievable deal). I'm now back on track to run the NYC marathon in November. Thank you Complete Body!
I was a member at Complete Body Fidi for about a year before the pandemic hit. First off, the gym sent out an email that they were closing the gym and would not be billing it’s members before my office even started to work remotely. My roommate at the time told me her gym billed her for 3 months into the pandemic while it wasn’t open and she is still fighting to get her money back. Sadly, I have since had to give up my apartment in NYC. I emailed completely body when I moved while they were still closed to make sure I didn’t forget. I followed up and called them once they did open to say that I needed to cancel and they confirmed it was canceled back when I had sent the email. I’ve belonged to a lot of gyms over the years and have never had such great, and easy customer service experience. The equipment and amount of space was great and I loved my time there. I predominantly lift so having space and enough equipment is key for me. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. If it weren’t for the pandemic I would have happily stayed with this gym for years. I hope to return to this gym once I return to the city.
I joined because I got to try their free juice/smoothie samples (who doesn't like free stuff?..). I also got a complimentary training session and thought that would be it. But they were very close to my office so I thought I'd just go there right after work. I joined in August-September and ever since I refuse to go anywhere else. My friends took me to NYSC - didn't like it. I was taken to Equinox - that was definitely a no! CompleteBody is a gym where you feel comfortable no matter what (it's so welcoming!). The staff is super friendly, helpful, and very professional. I forgot a shirt once and they let me borrow one! It's never too busy, you have space to work out on your own or if you want to use the equipment, you have more than enough. They have a steam room, a sauna (best part of the gym haha), their showers are always clean... It is a great place to work out at and to treat yourself well after long work days.
What a scam, be aware of this place, I came with a friend for QNE day to try the gym they ask me to fill out a form with my information before entering the place. DON'T do it!!! This people had been taking money out of my bank account since June, when I only went for a try out; we are now in the middle of October, every time I talk to the bank to stop them they had changed the name, using an extra number, letter to their account such as Complete gym, Complete Gym Financial or Complete Gym 1 . I called to Stop them many times and for the last 4 months they do it again and again. I change my bank card and because they changed their name Is almost impossible to stop them. The bank had suggested to change accounts wich its a financial nightmare. Calling, talking to management is impossible. Absolutely scamers!!!
I've been going to Complete Body for about a little over years now and it's the best decision I've ever made. I was completely out of shape and needed guidance on the best way to workout since I wasn't seeing much results on my own. Since taking up personal training I dropped about 40 pounds and have been in the best shape of my life. It's a very encouraging environment where if you put the hard work in it'll payoff and trainers don't mind giving a pointer or 2. They have yoga, rock climbing, steam room and saunas, all things that I've used and get a lot of value from. I actually left the gym at one point because I got a new job in Midtown and after about 3 months I ended up coming back to Complete Body because they set the bar so high. I'd highly recommend this place.
I joined Complete Body in November 2013 after disappointing memberships at nearly ALL the other lower Manhattan gyms and I haven't been disappointed since. Complete Body provides everything you could possible want - plenty of cardio equipment, classes scheduled when you can actually attend (morning, lunch, after work), plenty of free weights/benches/cable for lifting, as well as specialized gear for specific training. Add in knowledgeable and friendly trainers, great front desk staff, large locker room/steam room with amenities and the cleanest facility I've ever sweated all over and you have found yourself an incredible value right in Hanover Square! Almost forgot the Juice Bar upstairs for pre/post workout snacks. No reason to go anywhere else!
Joined CompleteBody located @ 10 Hanover Square 10 months ago to lose weight. I lost 37 lbs and counting! Thanks to my awesome personal trainer Rey Delgado! He takes his profession seriously by providing nothing less than perfection. He also provides suggestions on nutrition, weighs me every month, and most of all provides different exercises which has resulted in my weight loss!! The Personal Trainer Coordinator, Shawn paired me with Rey. Thank you Shawn! The staff is most helpful as Katherine and Roman are always eager to assist. The gym is always clean. The front desk alway greets everyone with a smile. Made a wise decision to join CompleteBody!!
Overpriced and bad customer service! Many other gyms in NYC that are better choice. The environment is your basically working out in a basement and the workout equipment is ok at best. Also they only have one workout machine per muscle group so unless you like waiting to use the the equipment, I wouldn’t recommend joining. No pool, no basket ball court and rock climbing or anything extra is not included with your membership. For anyone that is looking to join a real gym I would recommend LA fitness. Better customer service, they have a pool basket ball court and of course free training lessons when you join!
The gym is pretty large with almost everything you could want (I'd like a few assault bikes but that is a fairly unique request I assume). 99% of the time there is no issue getting the equipment you want. A lot of the people there use personal trainers - I had read a review that they try to make you get one but that wasn't my experience. My only complaint is that it closes at 6pm Friday-Sunday, and opens at 8am Sat-Sun but that seems to be standard for the area. Front desk people are very friendly. Locker rooms / showers are nice enough and rarely used by guests so not an issue using them either.
I've been going to Complete Body FiDi for about 3 months now and I absolutely love it! The equipment is great, the gym is always clean and the staff is very nice. I personally prefer to go to classes and I've been going to barbell strength with Yana, barre with Gigi, boxing with Brandon and yoga with Smita. Generally, what I really like about the instructors is that they all care about you doing the exercises/movements correctly -- they will look at how you do them and correct your form if something is wrong. Everyone is super nice and there is always great energy!
I was given a free days pass as part of a promotional gimic. The price here is roughly $20/month more than my current gym but the machines are pretty old, there's no good leg press or calf press, one set of bumper plates that goes up to 185 lbs including bar, and the lessons are whatever. If you live in the neighborhood and don't mind overpaying for a sub par gym this place isn't bad but I would recommend using the NYSC a few blocks away for the same price you could get a Sports Club Passport Membership and a few protein shakes a month lol
Complete body is one of the best value gyms around the financial district. There is lots of space and it always kept clean. The staff are always smiling and the trainers/instructors are some of the best I've ever had. I've done personal training with Davide there and it has been awesome. Davide helped me fix some injuries that have been holding me back for a couple of years at just the right pace as to not reinjure myself and keeps the workouts fun and interesting so you don't get bored. Thanks Davide!!
I have been member of CompleteBody FiDi around 2 years. Gym is always clean and nice. I had a personal trainer Yana for a few month, she is great! She really wants to help you reach your goals, also very professional and patient. Ready to explain everything and motivate you. I was working out together with a friend of mine and we are both freelance, so our schedules was different, but Yana always found a time for us to make it work! I'm still attempting her classes all the time and I love it!
I've been going to this gym now for 9 months and find it on par with Equinox. Same equipment, less crowded and same amenities (Steam, sauna, massage, etc..). Where they differ slightly from Equinox is their shower products ( Equinox has name brand products, Complete Body just no name stuff). If you can get past that you're essentially at an Equinox gym at a fraction of the cost. This was the best investment decision I have made in a long time. They even have a rock wall.. BOOM!
I moved to New York City in September, 2014, and after looking around for a gym, decided to join Complete Body. After working out on my own for a few weeks, I decided to hire a personal trainer, Ethan. Ethan is an outstanding personal trainer, and has helped me develop my strength and mobility in amazing ways. To anyone looking for a gym, I can't recommend Complete Body enough, and furthermore, Ethan is a fantastic option if you are looking for a personal trainer as well.
I had the opportunity to get a membership and train at this gym, I really enjoyed it. They are well equipped and have well organized and clean facilities. Most importantly their staff is magnificent. Instructors provide well elaborated classes. If you go there try to take a class with Yana, Jeanne, Loyd or James. And don’t forget to try the climbing wall with Akibull. With any of the classes you will walk out feeling you fulfilled your exercise goals for the day.
I’ve been coming to the FiDi location since January 2022 exclusively for their group fitness classes. The group class manager Yana is very organized, friendly, and helpful - she has helped me around the gym and I consistently go to the classes she teaches. There are many types of classes offered, and Yana would communicate any changes with class schedule via email ahead of time. The facility overall is clean and so far I’ve only had positive experiences.
CompleteBody was one of the best gyms I ever been to! The staff was so friendly! It had a lot of space with no wait for equipment. Lauren introduced me to the trainers and was very helpful with my guest pass. Locker rooms are AMAZING, especially the vanity area. After my workout, I stopped at the juice bar for a smoothie! I was only a guest visiting family in the city, but I highly recommend this gym for anyone that lives in NYC!
I joined the Complete Body at Hanover Sq about a year ago. At that time my office was close to that location. Now I have to walk across lower Manhattan. This facility is so good I would rather put up with that walk than go somewhere closer. The gym and range of equipment is huge and I never wait. The staff and trainers are the most welcoming and helpful. I totally feel at home here and will continue as long as I can.
I joined about a couple months ago and I am loving this gym! The staff are great, and the CBXT classes are an excellent HIIT/strength workout. Imelda is one of the amazing instructors who teach the class. The gym is super clean; there is tons of equipment and a group exercise room as well as the CBXT space. I highly recommend the classes and I also John Jedi for training (as well as his CBXT classes) - he’s awesome!
What kind of a gym that closes so early on Saturday and Sunday where people have more free time to spend.... definitely a huge disadvantage... I seriously discourage people to register in this gym, mainly those who want to build their muscles and body.... because you are strictly limited in time in the weekend. What is the point of going to the gym when you literally can't spend the time that you want in it ?
The complete Body in Fidi is my everything! The gym is 30,000 square feet with every piece of equipment and class you could ever want. My favorite class is taught by Davide on Tuesday and Thursday at 12:15 called Circut 25. It's a high intensity circuit training workout that's fun but challenging. Also, the Juice Bar makes yummy acia bowls! Crystal
Complete Body is my home gym. The clean, modern atmosphere make it a great place to work out several times a week. In addition to yoga classes and working out - I've been training with Tommy for about 7 months. He's one of their top trainers - always has an upbeat attitude and produces great results for clients. Highly recommend Complete Body!
This gym is amazing! I discovered CompleteBody through ClassPass and now I've become a member. The fact that you can attend unlimited group classes is a huge incentive for me. The location is ideal with convenient showers and lockers. The staff is great and the trainers are very helpful. I 100% recommend!
I've been going to CompleteBody for 5 years now. The staff is friendly and helpful, the facilities are always clean, and it has all of the equipment that I need for a complete, full-body workout. And the monthly rate won't break the bank. I go at least 5 days a week and I love it. Highly recommend.
Well equipped and clean! Juice bar is amazing. Love their smoothies !!! Enjoyed classes with Yana- workout is efficient and effective. Her personal online classes were very helpful. I like the way she motivates and encourages you to move on! She’s very educated & knowledgeable of what she’s doing!
I really enjoy complete body. The gym is clean and the staff and trainers are great. Members are friendly. The CBXT class is really fantastic. I usually take classes with Davide and Meghan. Both exceptional instructors.. You don't need to be a member to take the class. Just sign up a la carte.
Well equipped and very clean gym. Probably best for it personal training. They help find the right trainer that matches with your goals. Classes are run by experts. Combination of state of the art equipment, expert trainers, and variety of classes makes it one of the best gyms in the area.
Very nice and cozy place. It is always clean and comfortable! I worked in this club! And I tried my best for the club and for the clients ..! Customers are regular. People are cultural and intelligent! Club workers are nice people! So here is very homely !!! Alexander, good luck to all..!
CompleteBody was a great gym, especially for residents of 10 Hanover Square who get a discount through the building. It had a lot of machines and classes. Sadly I am moving away, but it had great hours and helpful staff, especially when it came time to cancel my membership.
I visited this gym quite a few times and always was left satisfied with the experience. I joined classes with Yana and she was very attentive to the abilities of all attendees. She is a caring and professional trainer. Overall, the gym is clean, hospitable, and nice
Love Yana as the fitness instructor. Her energy is great, and she answered all my questions I had. She’s also certified in pregnancy fitness so I might hit her up for some training sessions since I am expecting. Deff. Recommend her classes! Great girl!!
This gym chain is Ok. I have been with them for over 5-6 years now. Diverse classes work for me. I know they are not the best however works with my schedule and membership is reasonable for a Manhattan based group. Some instructors are very good.
Complete Body offers a spacious clean environment for fitness sessions and working out. The Personal Trainers I have worked with have been enthusiastic, focused and motivating. Good vibes and great amenities without any hassle or drama.
I train with Itay, he is the best! He motivates with excellent feedback and easy to understand workout routines. Not over busy and the machines are new and clean….I highly recommend this wonderful gym!
Love this gym! It's huge, has a rock climbing wall and awesome classes! I especially love the Zumba, Barre and Yoga classes. And the women's change room is great, the steam room heats up in seconds!
There are more employees here than people that come to work out and all of the employees expect preferential treatment for all the equipment. Don’t come here - pretty much any other gym is better
Great staff. The best actually. The gym's equipment is dated but functional. The electronic lockers could use some fixing. The best steam room and sauna. The juice bar is fantastic.
I live at 10 Hanover for few years and I'm very happy with the changes in the gym: longer hours, more classes and finally wi-fi and cellphones are working downstairs. Good job guys.
I wouldn’t recommend this place, I could get past the dated equipment and muggy basement atmosphere, but I couldn’t deal with the roaches in locker room, but that’s just me.
Excellent location just in the heart of financial district, 2 level gym, sauna and steam room are included, trainers are very friendly, amenities clean
I like this club, friendly staff. Good fitness trainers and especially a fitness trainer Imelda. She is very professional. Try not to skip her classes.
Great smallish modern gym with a good mix of machines and free weights and classes. Wide variety of trainers to fit your needs. Only issue is pricey!
This place is almost a hidden gem. The facilities are top notch with steam room and sauna. The staff is great and there is always room to work out.
Very professional, and respectful environment. The staff is very helpful and informative. So far this has been a huge upgrade from my last gym.
I really like the gyms but the hours are the absolute worst. They close way to early Fri, Sat, Sun. 4pm close on the weekend!? Seriously!?
Great fitness gym with lovely amenities - sauna, steam room, showers, rock climbing wall, studios with classes, and friendly staff
I used Complete Body for physical therapy at their 57th street location. Teresa was great. She helped me to get completely cured
Once in FiDi, go exercise at this gym. They have everything you need to get a healthy body! Amazing gym and staff!!!
Solid gym, but their operating hours have much to be desired for a gym in Manhattan which is why I rate them so low
I love Yanas booty pump classes. This is one of my favorite gyms out of all of the CompleteBody‘s. …
Great place to work out. They had the great instructors and safe programming. This place is a highly recommended.
Great location, tons of machines, amazing CBXT class. Give it a try and you definitely won't regret it.
Well equipped and clean. Friendly staff. Fun classes. Quiet if you simply want solo work out time.
Experienced Body Builders here. People are nice and will answer any questions that you have!
Terrible. Staff are unfriendly and hard to work with. Your money is better spent elsewhere.
Amazing gym. Very clean and COVID guidelines are in place to ensure safety for everyone.
I love this gym the people are great and the place is very convenient
Great trainers, all the equipment you need, very close to the subway
