As much as I would like to give this place a good review, i would have to give this a negative review I came from Dallas to Houston just to have some documents notarized. 1) informarion on the website is lacking. It does not say if i have to make appointments or if i can just walk in to do this. 2) when i got here, i ask the reception/security about notarial services. He have no idea and told me to just go and ask counter#3. There was no one on counter#3. So i took a seat and waited 3) there is lack of information or process. There was a piece of paper with name and numbers, but it does not say what is the purpose of that list paper. 4) From the front lines, there seems to be a lack of people. I cannot find the blue number others have been talking about. 5) Betweem counters 1-4, only 1 counter that always have a person. Edit: was waiting for more that 30 minutes close to 45 minutes I asked if they are sht staffed, someone answered that they are indeed short staff but not hiring. Why am i not surprised I got ao frustrated. Notarial services are no longer done but "entertained". I was told on the spot that i need 2 copies of the document and 2 copies of my ID. None of this was on the website. Was also told that Power of Attorney is replaced by Apostille Certificate issued by the state. Also lacking info on where and how to get it. I complained one of the Vice Consul who looks like between 25 to 35. Asking for clarification on where in the website does it says the requirement for the notarial that they apparently "entertain" or accept, but keeps manipulating back to the apostille cert. The way and tone of how he said it would makr someone feel stupid. In the end, i did not get what i needed to be done and the vice consul tried to make me feel stupid but failed. They are lucky the contact us link is broken otherwise i would have copied and posted this. Wish i have a direct line to the Philippine President and perhaps he could talk to the DFA about these people
Not sure why some did not have a pleasant experience, maybe im one of the lucky ones who went at the right place at the right time when the right people were working. My parents were visiting me from Virginia and since I needed to renew my passport, I decided might as well do a “group appointment” for a passport renewal thats done via online. Literally, encountered the nicest kababayan workers who were so beyond helpful. Got 3 passports renewed, also had a SPA - special power of attorney done all in 1 hour. This is including biometrics, picture taking, etc. Considering my father is wheelchair bound due to stroke, all the consulates were so beyond considerate in assisting my father with fingerprinting during biometrics. They were even kind and respectful in trying to decipher what my father was trying to communicate because he has a speech impediment. Tip: they have an office inside the building where you can get a return envelope and make photocopies. Just make sure to bring cash although there is an ATM there. Literally the friendliest people - from the consulates to the man making photo copies, the service is unmatched. Worth Noting: The consulates are very helpful. There’s a time and place for everything.
When You walk in, sign in at window #2, Then have a seat. There was one person doing passports and one going through the waitlist of names when I was there. There is no phone number that gets answered. And if you do send an email, you're essentially redirected to the website. The website has information but it is incomplete. For example," For report of death", make sure you find the "from" to print/ fill out, along with the required documents. And if the person was a dual citizen, you need the citizenship paper from the Philippines (which is not stated). For the mortuary certificate, make sure All paperwork is notarized from the funeral home. Be sure to bring a self-addressed prepaid USPS envelope. There is an office right outside the US consulate Where "Joe" works at. He is a notary and can provide copies, as well as the prepaid envelope. Be sure to bring cash, not only for Joe but for the consulate. The consulate accepts ONLY cash, but may not have change for you, so I suggest bringing the exact amount or small bills. The only reason I give two stars (and not 1) is because the gentleman who helped me was very patient and helpful, but if the website was more thorough and/or there was someone to talk to prior to going up to the window, A person would have better chance of getting all the documentation required the first time. My time there was 2 hours, as I had to visit Joe twice (he is very helpful and polite ). Luckily, the gentleman who helped me at the consulate let me interject in line.
My 2nd time to visit after COVID restrictions. They're not strict anymore about wearing face mask (I didn't wear one). I went there for notarial services/apostille on my special power of attorney. They were closed May1 due to Labor day in the Philippines, so I went May 2 and there were a long line of appointments. Notarial and Dual Citizenship services are walk in and you have to write your name on the list at the front counter and just wait for your name to be called. Make sure you bring all your needed documents and their photocopies. I also copied my valid driver's license and placed 3 specimen signatures and then made another copy of it. They will also require you to show the original i.d. that you copied, so don'tforget to bring them with you.. I have other forms needed to be notarized besides SPA and I was told I have to fill up an affidavit form (they will provide it for you) indicating the said form and reason why it should be submitted (they cannot sign to notarize on the actual form, thus affidavit form is need and they will notarize the affidavit). In case you need to photocopy ($1/each copy), there is a separate office room where you can avail it as well as getting an envelope ($15). Overall, despite the long wait (3hours), all the staff remained kind, considerate, patient and cheerful while they work. Considering it's a "Monday" for the office because of the Labor day holiday. Notarial service $25 per document.
Well let's start with this you can't call them.. I call them for a week... They don't even have a phone back where they're at!!! and you'll never hear the phone ring ........ You have to do it by...........The Internet or just go there and see if they will accept you and put your name on the list. Second:::: you need to go with cash .........no checks no credit card ......CASH ONLY!!!!! They're nice they are friendly and even though I didn't have an appointment they squeeze me in ....so I got everything taken care of which is primarily getting their seal of approval on my one sheet of paper to send to the Philippines for my family..... Thirdly... Make sure that you have copies of what you have to notarized or you will need to give them they don't make copies there..... There is a place in a lawyer's office about 50 ft from their door that makes copies 75 cents a copy black and white not colored.!! Nevertheless it took most of my day well that is because I had to expedite it which to expedite something will cost you a little more... at least $10... So I had to wait at least 2 hours to get the paper expedited other than that I would have been in and out in about 15 minutes even though they squeeze me in.... So Thank You Philippine Consulate... People y'all have a good day and a wonderful year of 2022 this is BJ thank you all for reading the comments.,..... I hope this will help you some..
Very fast and efficient! I was able to book an appointment online for the 9:00 am slot, got there at the lobby at 8:55 (they will only let you in the consulate at 9:00 am). Plenty of parking spots available, too. No mask, no entry, and they will take your temperature also (COVID-19 health & safety protocols are in place, with hand sanitizers available inside the embassy). Once inside, read the instructions (for renewal of passport, just sit down and wait as they will call your time). Afterwards, an employee announced “9:00 am proceed to #5,” — there are 5 people or so who were also booked at 9:00, so you have to fall in line for that one (first come, first served). After submitting my documents and prepaid self-addressed envelope (make sure it’s complete!), I proceeded to cashier and paid $60 for passport renewal (cash or money order only — make sure you have the exact amount because sometimes they don’t have a change for $100). After that, sit down again and wait to be called for photo and biometrics. She was very nice and friendly. And that’s it! All done under 20 minutes. Thank you to all the wonderful staff of the embassy!!! UPDATE: Renewal appointment date: Aug 6, Received passport: Aug 31 (with USPS 3 day priority mail). Got the passport in less than a month’s time Maraming Salamat, Team Houston!!!
I dont know about the others but it went smoothly for me. The instructions of all needed documents is on the website tho so I dont know why others end up complaining about it, unless the website change. Just a tip guys, if you think that the houston consulate website is incomplete then check other website of other Philippines consulate here un US. They originally were extremely busy before I couldnt book an appointment because they were full for like 3months. Then after few months it become easier to book an appointment, i had my appointment within 2 weeks. I went with all the documents needed to renew my expired passport but they did not even actually asked to show them all except for my birth certificate and expired passport. Yun lang kinabahan pa ako kasi akala ko need ng visa ko eh matagal napo akong overstay pero lapit na po akong ikasal sa tamang tao so need ko lang ng valid ID para sa mga chichiburichi gaya ng marriage permit. Anyway, everything went smoothly. The passport arrived like within 2 weeks! I thought it was gonna be more than 6 weeks. Andun pa rin yong mga seryosong mukha ng mga employee but overall mababait naman sila. Thanks PH houston consulate.
Have your documents ready. If you got married, file a REPORT OF MARRIAGE before you can do anything else (like renewing passport) because they need it to change the LAST NAME. Bring your husband or wife just in case. I got there an hour early for my appointment and of course I didn’t know about the ROM so they said I need to declare my marriage and they helped me quickly. Had to pay 10 dollars for “expedition”. I wasn’t aware that they have an Office where you can photocopy your papers (just across the entrance of the consulate on the right) so I had to get out of the building and find the closest office depot. I came back and there are more people. I think they do “SHIFTING” hours for workers because different people are working in the afternoon so the worker think I just got there. Everything was smooth though the only thing that I don’t like is when they give you a “not exact information!” They always hide in the back when you want to ask questions. Also, the website is outdated. I know they won’t care on what I say about here but I just want everyone to know to do “RESEARCH”. Overall they were helpful and was able to finish it in the end.
I am from GA and travelled by plane to get my passport renewed last May 6th. I did everything that's needed to be done like capturing photo and biometric. I also presented all possible documents needed. Three different people looked and checked my application and the last person who checked it gave me an ETA of the passport and that I am good to go. May 13th I received an email request to come again for recapturing of biometrics and they emphasized that I have to bring my PSA/NSO Birth Certificate. I sent an email back and even called back asking why i have to redo this process, but no one was responding. May 18th they finally emailed back and said “as mentioned from previous email, you need to appear in person for recapturing of biometrics” like as if I didn’t understand what was said on the email. I am asking for a reason why I have to do them again! My first travel was already a stretch! The process alone is $60, but I spent $700 in total just to get there. And now I have to spend another $700? No explanation whatsoever? If this is an internal error, like if they lost the first application or whatnot, it is not fair for us who live far!
Hi All, I was there to get my passport and received them in about 3 weeks compared to 6-8 week expectation set. My experience was easy overall. I set my appointment on a Wednesday so there was no wait time. Literally took 20 minutes to complete my passport. My best suggestion is to be prepared to have all your documents completed as listed on the website with copies of each one ready. Otherwise there is an office across the hallway that charges .20 cents per page and communicate through their email. They are more responsive then calling them because they never answer. When you come in there is a booth with all their instructions. Once you arrive at your time they will call you by your appointment time not by your name. (Kinda not the best process but I got it once I sat back an observed but hopefully they will update this.) You will receive an email that your passport is ready. Once you return to pick up your passport place your receipt from the first visit in a basket at the first booth with all their instructions and someone will call you to deliver your passport. Overall simple and easy.
The entrance is a little confusing to find but not too difficult. The waiting area is definitely COVID compliant and clean. The staff is definitely friendly and helpful. The only thing I would recommend is for someone to be in the front to give some direction on what you need to do. What I experienced when I walked through the door was just go have a seat, then I was like okay do I do anything except sit here and I went to the cashier window to ask what I needed to do and he asked if I had an appointment and I said yes and he said okay just sit and wait for your time to be called. But I didn't know what was going to be called, the station called out a time but it wasn't mine but the cashier was shouting at me to go to the window. When the associate did what he needed to do for my passport application then he explained what will happen next which was great. The rest of the te.was great and they processed me quickly. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. So I would just recommend that you give direction when people first come in, otherwise it was well organized afterwards.
I am so amazed at how smooth and easy when I went there, such a great people Sir Checker for the appointment, Sir Raymund is very Kind same with Ma'am Nadge and the madam at the Cashier area. They are all great people po, very patient when I am asking all the questions and Sir Raymund is very kind to talk to guys,. It took 15 mins only for my process, importante guys is that make copies in everything that they ask you to do for whatever process that you wish to be done, as long as you read all the post sa page nila guys no need to worry, sobrang babait nila dun.. Ikaw lang ang owede pumasok your spouse or significant others will stay outside the building if you have a car there is a parking area for 2hours that your Husband/SO can wait, so just tell him/her to wait na lang for a just couple of minutes. Keep up the good work po people of CGP, you're doing such a great job. Thank you po for risking your lives for people like us especially during this pandemic. May God keep you safe and healthy always. Salamat po.
VERY DISAPPOINTED! didn’t had problem with renewal of passport but didn’t gave an update with my report of marriage and after 8 months they sent me back my packet for the report of birth of my kids and asking for more requirements! I DID A WALK IN guys! why would they ask for more requirements if i did walk in and 8 months!! for report of birth?? emailed them, called them asking my information like they’re planning to call me back but nope! never heard anything so i call back they lady that answer phone giving me an attitude like i don’t have the rights to get disappointed! and then the guy talked to me telling me his going to look on my paperworks then he will give me a callback the end of the day, it’s already a week and yet no answers!!! i usually don’t give reviews but this is terrible i could’ve just went to san Francisco if i knew this would happen!
We drove from South Carolina all the way to Houston, Texas . We are so excited on our trip and we decided to stay a night in New orleans since it’s only 5 hours drive to Houston, First we felt like we were in the Philippines. A lot of Filipino people and so many good Filipino Restaurants as well which made us super duper happy! And our appointment went very well. All the staffs are very approachable and it was so easy and fast. My appointment supposed to be at 2pm but since my group was finished the lady assisted me immediately so we can go home all together at the same time. Our trip was worth it. Thank you so much to all our Kababayan in Houston Philippine Consulate. Please make sure you have complete documents before you enter the office. That will make your appointment fast and easy. ☺️☺️
There are phone numbers for consular inquiries but no facility to provide a space for leaving the caller's voice message/s. This is so backward!!! And frustrating. Plus disappointing! Folks, use technology wisely and effectively, please! It is a joke that the consulate office is in America! Nothing is done to bridge the communication needs of Filipinos needing consular help here in Texas! No wonder the Philippine economy is bleeding tremendously due to the incompetence of the people working for its government counting number one its current president who is the dictator's son!@##$$%%^&&*)()*&^%#! How and why he won the recent 2022 May election is a huge mystery to everyone. But of course, they manipulated the electoral votes and subsidized their entire machinery from the money stolen from the Central Bank of the Philippines!!!!!
THIS IS THE WORST UNORGANIZED GOVERNMENT CONSULATE I EVER BEEN! YOU CANNOT ASK A QUESTION BECAUSE THEY GONNA MAKE YOU FEEL STUPID. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU ARE AN OLD 75 YEARS OLD BLIND. SO WHEN YOU COME HERE YOU SHOULD KNOW EVERYTHING. I FELT SO BAD WITH AN OLD COUPLE WHO STAYED THERE FOR FOR 4 HOURS WITH NO FOOD ON THEIR STOMACH BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT AWARE OF WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO AND NO ONE ASSISTED THEM. WHEN A LADY WHO GAVE THAT OLD COUPLE A RIDE COMPLAIN, 1 EMPLOYEE SAID, " IF YOUR NOT HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE HERE YOU CAN GO TO OTHER PLACE LIKE CHICAGO" THAT WAS SO UNPROFESSIONAL. NOBODY EVEN SMILE. THEY MAKE YOU FEEL THAT YOU ARE A BURDEN. I HOPE WE JUST HAVE AN OUTREACH PROGRAM AGAIN AND JUST CLOSE THIS FILTHY PLACE WITH RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF.
Terrible! I just wanted to follow up the status of my passport but as always for government offices they don’t answer the phone! I’ve tried to contact them for weeks now but still failed to connect to them! So disappointing that even here in the US they are still doing the same tactics as what government employees do in the Philippines! Also, it’s clear in the instructions that they don’t accept cash but the people there still are requiring you to pay cash even if you have the check on hand. So annoying that you have to go out of your way just to get the cash! Im wondering if the consulate knows about this matter because it seems fishy. Also, aside from the 150$ fee for the epassport they are also asking you to pay the 10$ fee.
On April 15, They said they mailed me my ballot, it is now April 22, I still dont receive it. It takes only a day or two to receive mail from Houston to our place. You cant contact them on phone it just keep on ringing and the voice mailbox is full. What happened to my ballot? Somebody might have gotten it!!. I cant compare the efficiency of CA and Chicago offices. I lived in Chicago for 5 years, communication is good, you can talk to them on the phone, respond to email right away, I had a smooth transaction with CA when I applied for dual cutizenship, and yes they replied to emails. May be Houston should attend trainings from these offices for good customet service and efficient communication.
We were amazed with the Bureau's service because they were very thorough and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain instructions well and ensured we fully understood but what really amazed us was the patients they had to answer every detailed question asked. They also gave us information that could help us expedite our process to avoid any misunderstanding or lingering details. All this was done in a timely manner. I have to express how proficient and professional they were throughout the entire process. Thank you CGOP for your excellent service and support 5☆Easy
I wish I can say lots of great things about this place. Firstly, one of the ladies there doesn’t have the friendliest approach. Just because the finger printing didn’t work doesn’t mean you have every right to raise your voice to someone. Secondly, most of the workers are gone most of the time, doing things at the back. Nobody to ask if you need to ask immediately. Thirdly, they should be ashamed working in the Philippine Consulate coz not a bit is showing a Filipino character in them. They have the worst attitudes, very unfriendly, very unwelcoming. Work on your work ethics PLEASE!
I had the best experience! The staff were very professional. People need to do some research and stop acting entitled. Every information/form I needed was on the website. With regards to people not answering calls, they are understaffed. Emails will get answered but not right away. I was there for Report of Birth, Report of Marriage, and Dual Citizenship, The reports only took 10 minutes. The dual citizenship will depend on how many are schedule. Mine took 2 hours. I'm just glad that I didn't have to go to Cali to process. Thanks to all the staff!
Thank you Sir Jess and Sir Marco! Your fast and efficient service enable me to expedite the process of my dual-citizenship sooner than I expected. We can now go back home. Often times people post because of bad experience. And very few acknowledged those who does a good job. Today, I want all to know that you made a difference and that you are appreciated. You are the right person for that job and you both represent our country very well. Keep up the good work. More people need you . Stay safe and God Bless. Maraming Salamat at Mabuhay!
I wonder why this PCG doesn’t get 5 stars all the time. My experience was worst. They scheduled appointment by hour so I got there 30 mins. before my time. Getting there, I was expecting good costumer service and faster transactions but they all turned out the opposite. I was finished more than an hour of my online appointment. Somebody else threw a fit over the poor system they have. Can’t blame her. Nobody knows who goes first. There’s a signage saying you have to take a seat and they’ll call you but they didn’t.
Great experience! They were friendly & efficient!! I’m surprised with the negative reviews. I scheduled my appointment on a Friday which is generally busy & they were busy. One thing I do want to point out Is don’t come unprepared. Have your forms printed & filled out. Understand that they are serving multiple States in their jurisdiction so appointments are very tight. Don’t assume. READ the very clear instructions in their website. Don’t use your cell phone to read but preferably a table or a pc.
For my passport renewal, waiting time was about one hour from the time of appointment (930am) until the biometrics. This was reasonably a good time and it was great that there is an online appointment system. We are lucky that Texas has re-opened. Best would be to check the requirements prior to your visit so you will have all the necessary documents on hand. A bonus was the overseas voting registration that the Consulate was providing. It was done in less than 10 minutes.
Since I was so confused with the requirements for application for mortuary certificate posted on their website, we decided to walk in to seek clarification. Not bad waiting time for a walk-in customer. It took only less than an hour before we were seen. Raymond was very helpful and knows what he’s doing. He is pleasant, respectful and calm. He has an excellent demeanor and highly commendable customer service. I hope that everyone in that office is as nice as he is.
I came to get a document to get certified, it's already notarized by an embassy certified lawyer. Three processors are here all processing passports only. It would be more efficient if one of them will process the docs needing red ribbon certification so that all are helped equally. There is a number system but not electronic so they missed a lady whose #3. Feels like home. No pun intended just an observation and suggestion. Thanks.
As much as I want to say good things about my kababayan, I can’t with this establishment. My last visit was full of confusion. The staff was not friendly at all and was even rude to me when I had asked questions on some things. Another thing was the only accept cash!! I had to get a withdrawal next door, and when I came back to pay, the person handling payments basically threw my change back to me and didn’t say anything else.
It’s been 2 months already and we haven’t received our new passports. And there is a notification from UsPs that the address is insufficient that’s why it was returned to the sender. Which is impossible. I wrote our address completely cause I took a photo of it. So what will happen after that notification? Will I still received it? This is not good. When I did my passport renewal in LA I didn’t have a problem and it was fast.
Very hard to get an appointment since no one answers the phone than when you email them or go to the website you'll get an email telling you to go to the exact website and page that you went to to make an appointment to get no help. Also when you drop of forms to get notarized and pay for it only half are notarized. Than when you go back and bring it to there attention they make you repay to get them notarized.
This is unacceptable, I live all the way from Austin and I'm trying to get a Visa to travel in the Philippines. No one is answering the phone and I've been trying to call them for the last several days. If the Google detail said that you're open at least answer the phone or leave a message saying we're not accepting any more calls. They need to clean up the department and put new people in to work over there.
The staff doesn't know the meaning of customer service. Besides, you can't contact them by any form of communication. I just wanted information when they're going to mail the ballots to us. Election is 3weeks from now. Hindi naman sila utal ng mga fees nila. Definitely the fees are not commensurate to their dismal service. This particular consulate is non-functional. The Consul is ... never mind
They need to do their job. The supervisor need to do her/ his or step down and be replace by the filipinos that is willing to work for the people. Philippine Consulate staff really need to do their job or the Philippine government incharge of the philippine Consulate should replace them. Thousand of people complaining should be enough for the Philippine government to be concern of its employees
Convenient and easy to find. It’s in the “North” side which is the “back from the street” building. Go in directly under the awnings direction the consulate is straight ahead. We had a terrific experience. The staff was friendly and efficient. GREAT! TIP: Go online and make your appointment for 9am and you will be in and out fast. It gets busier in the late morning till they close at 3.
advice: make sure to check the website/facebook page, all the requirements needed are there to make sure your visit goes smoothly. have an appointment and bring a copy. There’s a room nextby which offer printing, copies and envelops just incase you forgot to bring yours. we finished early than we expect. thank you UPDATE: due to pandemic, appointment only. mask required to enter.
To the rest of the employees and fellow kababayan, I could only speak good things for the service we experienced last 2.16.2022. Especially to the Consul Mr. Marco Lopez for approving our passport applications and to the lady that was kind to helped us out, I didn't get her name. We really much appreciated the service(s) you rendered promptly. May puso at malasakit sa kapwa Pilipino.
Thank you for your assistance Sir Jess and Sir Marco. You may not realize it but, with your fast and efficient service I was able to expedite the process of getting my dual-citizenship. We can now go home. Thank you! Keep up the good work . There are more people needed your help. And more people like you need to be in this line of industry. You made a difference! Mabuhay!
I Applaud The staffs and management of Philippine Consulate General in Houston for their job well done. I applied my dual citizenship on January 3rd, received Jan 5th, reviewed and sent me a notification on 11th that it's been approved. On the 18th of the same month, i was notified again that virtual oath taking on the following day, January 19th. Done Thank you.
Arrived for new appointment on 06/14/2022 on time at 12 and waited 1 hour and 35 minutes and we were skipped by at least 6 people who were behind us. The procedures also have discrepancies. My wife got her new passport in 30 minutes and paid after picture taken. My daughter has to pay first but the cashier was out to lunch at 12. Worst customer service of all.
Consulate staff were extremely helpful. They did the best they can for everybody that was there when I was. Staff were courteous, professional and showed great pride in their work. They maintained their composure and remained respectful even to those who did not deserve such. Mabuhay kayong lahat....! Thank you so much for all that you did for us....
the staff are highly professional and efficient, mr. marco lopez, vice consul, was courteous and provided accurate info to queries...kudos to these new breed of public servants, makes me proud to be a pinoy again...wishing you all more success in your foreign service career...we need more of this , in service to the country...
Is there a phone number or contact that actually works here? I've been trying to help my elderly mother reach this Consulate for 2 days to follow up on a visit. No one picks up the phone and the "mailbox is always full". Here's hoping they actually read emails. There needs to be more accessibility for simple follow-ups.
Sent passport to them and have not once heard any reply from them or status of my visa I email them no reply try to call no one ever answer the phone or just voice machine so people there seem to not care about anything but get paid money and do nothing at all I've emailed them almost everyday day now still no reply
Their office is around a sketchy area. For an office like this with people waiting, theres no coffee station or water dispenser. The wait was long and they dont answer the phone. I guess will just have to deal it with coz they have an office in Houston. I wouldnt mind travelling to another state at all though.
When reporting a Marriage or Birth, make sure you bring copies of your Philippines birth certificate. It is NOT on the website and was required. Somebody in a nearby office is offering to copy documents for people at $0.75 per page. The lady helping us was relatively friendly and helpful, however.
I traveled by car from NM to Houston Texas to renew my wife's Passport, but I had made and appointment online. It was quick but you guys make sure that you check all the required docs before you go there. It takes less then a month for you renewed passport to arrive. I paid 60$ for that.
My family & I were there last July 2019 to have our passport renewal and ROB for our newborn son. We utilized the online scheduling system. Everything went smoothly for us, we were in and out in less than an hour, the staff are very accommodating, courteous and knowledgeable. Kudos! ❤️
Mailbox still full after people have reported this for over one year. Staff was rude and unprofessional. They made a mistake and did not take responsibility. No one answers the phone. No accountability. No supervisor or manager. Place deserves 0 stars. Completely unacceptable.
By far the best Philippine government service I’ve ever received. Hoping it’s already like this back home too. The staff was quick, efficient and very helpful with answering my questions. I walked in just a little after 9am and out by 9:20 for my dual citizenship papers.
I came in to renew my passport and had an awesome experience. Very pleasant and accommodating staff. Fast and smooth transaction. Just make sure to check their website and prepare all necessary requirements and photocopies before going there. Highly recommended.
This place is useless. Can’t get any open slots for appointments, no one answers phone calls, no one answers emails, most time you can’t even leave a message. Your probably better off playing the lottery than getting any chance of attention from this location.
We drove all the way from Florida to Houston for my passport renewal. The ladies understood my situation and took their time to help me sort out what else I needed to photocopy for my passport renewal. I finally relaxed after it was all done. Thank you again!
No was there to help when there were no more blue numbers to wait in line so I never even got the chance to wait. The worker looked at me when I said there were no more blue numbers then she said okay and walked away and never came back. Horrible service.
It was a good experience, the staff is friendly and efficient. Raymond, Hannah and the rest were truly nice. I think the location is Richmond North, the other side of Norris Conference Center but to make sure when you come inside the door
dialed the listed number and nobody picking up the phone. I only have a simple question that can answered over the phone and i cant find any relevant answer on the web. I have to drive thereto find answer to my question....just a question.
Very friendly and helpful people working in consulate. However, the phone number will not answer when dialed no matter how many times I try. Many other people have had this same issue. This is something that needs to be resolved ASAP.
They are in consistent with the payment. In their website it clearly stipulates there that they only received managers check or cashiers check. However, when you go to the office they only accept cash. Please be consistent.
I have set an appointment for my passport renewal and it only took 20 minutes for them to process it. Staff were very kind and helpful. Definitely thankful for opening an office here in Houston! Salamat po sa serbisyo.
During outreach program in BR. We get our passport and dual citizenship smoothly as long as you have all the requirements. Staffs are very helpful...and the food you already know Filipino food... …
Called 17 times during operating hours with no answer. Last week asked for information regarding a power of attorney and was given inaccurate information. Need to do a lot better job on customer service.
Amazing how fast and accurate the service provided by the employees of Philippines Consulate at Houston to us inspite of the ongoing crisis. Thank you all there and God bless you. We salute you.
I was very surprised how fast it was for my wife and son to renew there philipine pass ports. Wasn't crowded any all our appointment was for 230pm but we got there at 130pm and was out by 3pm.
Got there pretty early and it didn't take long to sign our paperwork.... Jeffrey Johnson, security officer of the building was very professional and kept the wait very bearable. Thanks JJ
Does anybody work at this Consulate? I've been calling since Monday, July15 and no answer, voicemail is full. I live an hour away and I wanted to make sure they're open from 9-3pm.
I emailed the visa office with questions and received answers within 24 - 48 hours. They are definitely more responsive than other nations' visa offices that we have encountered.
Nobody answers the phone. How can you serve the people if you're lazy to answer the phone? For people far from Richmond, phone is our best friend for our question. Do your JOB!
Mr. Raymond the interviewer was very knowledgeable and professional. He answered all our questions and was prompt. He made our experience at the consulate a lot less painful.
Do I need to make an appointment for renewal?I tried to called many times but no one is answering,I wonder if walk-in are accepted or need to book an appointment?Thank you,
Thank you for opening an office in Houston. I appreciate the great service! Just remember to setup an appointment online for a faster service. Mabuhay ang mga Pilipino!
Easy to locate. Quiet and clean place. Also, the waiting time was longer (because we wanted to be earlier) than the actual time of picking up the documents. …
I arrived at 1:05pm and got out at 1:35pm so it only took me 30minutes wait to pickup my Dual Citizenship Certificate Excellent service! More power and GOD BLESS!
This the worst DFA. They put phone number and no one’s answering! And when you check the website it’s not even updated or you can’t even book online! WORST EVER!
Philippine Embassy service is good, but the store outside office #140 there envelope cost $15, but maybe in usps it is less than $5. ( hold up na harap harapan)
Website says they dont accomodate walk-ins but they never answer the phone to make an appointment. Ridiculous! Where can we make a formal complaint about this?
They were wounerful to deal with and helped us obtain all we needed from duel citizenship and passport for my 10 month old nephew it was a pleasant experience.
Went there to file ROM and Affidavit of Late Filing with all requirements ready. I have both documents notarized there, paid $50. Service was fast and.smooth.
Nice people and friendly staff .They are very helpful with all my questions.they even work over time just so they can help me with all the documents I need .
I just did my passport renewal and thank you to sir Raymund ma’am Nadge and madam ung nasa cashier they are very kind. Thank you for your service. …
Very nice staff, very helpful, so nice not to have to go to Chicago. There is parking right on site. You make an appointment or walk in and get a number.
Fast service! In and out in less than 15 minutes. Only thing I wish, was I knew it would cost me $15 for envelope and they only accept cash payment
Really wish they would answer their phone for questions especially for the ppl who drive a long trip just to get denied for the most minimal thing.
My wife and I recently decided to apply for dual citizenship. When I arrived at the consulate, I was greeted by a friendly and helpful staff
Terrible and slow. Some upset lady asked me to collate paperwork which was already in order then proceeds to ignore us for more than an hour.
So many times callling, I wonder if they can hear the phone ringing or just ignoring it, it’s so sad that system never changed ☹️ …
Very pleasant experience…. Place is not crowded…. friendly and courteous staff…. Online appointment was smooth and easy….. kudos to all!!!
In and out less than 20mins. A lot of free parking spaces. Followed health protocols. The staff are polite and really quick to process.
Very slow and unprofessional, does not have a electronic way of doing things, important documents can get lost in the process.
It was easier to process your passport here than traveling to California, but read carefully the instructions of what you need
Inefficient. Why cant we pre register online then just verify when we get therr instead of havimg someone type everything up
Clean, efficient, and friendly! Booked an appointment online for Friday with my family, and was done within an hour.
Rude, not on time, unhelpful people. You’d think they’d have more urgency to help their citizens, and they don’t.
The place is clean with awareness of Covid in mind. Social distancing is enforced with chairs already separated.
Best service I had. Took 2 weeks only to get my renewal passport. Very friendly and helpful staff. Keep it up.
I received my new passport today after 3 weeks. I am very impressed and pleased. Keep up the good work!
All ends well. Staffs are doing their best to serve. A salute for all of you guys. Thank you so much!!
Everything went fine but you better make sure you have all the forms you need prior to going there.
Its quick and easy they entertain you as soon as possible,if all of your documents are ready.
Based on my personal experience, the Immigration Officers and Staff are helpful and friendly.
Had a smooth process of my ROM and passport renewal. They are very accommodating.. Great job!
Jezz and Julie,They are so nice here to assist you start to finish to renew your passport.
