Friendly and humble staff/officer! The google map takes you to the address 701 Union Street, take the stairs up to the building with [homestreet] bank. This is small office with friendly security and staff. You go through the security, get a token, if no-one is at the window you could press a button. The 3 times I went there there were not more than 3 people. You get the token, you see your number, go up to the window, they collect the token number, collect your documents and forms, ask you to wait for 5 minutes until they review the documents, then they call you back at the window and give you instructions/receipt for the next step. I went to collect my passport in 5 business days but it was not ready. The officer apologized and he gave me a call later to tell me when I should expect it to be ready. The process was easy and painless. Looking forward to visit Japan now!

The only good thing is they do pick up phones fast. The person on the phone is not very helpful and constantly repeating the same information to me as if I did not hear him. He cut me off several times to repeat the same information that I am able to find on their website. When I ask further questions based on my own personal situation, he cannot answer and let me come to their office in person instead. It was not pleasant conversation and it is hard to get answer from him. When I ask to talk to someone else who can help me, he said "We can not HELP you, we answer questions".

I have been calling and calling again and again trying to get in touch with literally anyone to ask a simple question about a visa but everytime no one answers and I leave a voicemail. I have not heard back in several weeks. My question doesn't require me to go in. What is up? I tried calling one of the other ones and they said because my area code is not local to them they can't help me and to call this place..like what the heck?? Can anyone help me please this is really frustrating at this point especially because I can't seem to find an answer on the website

For the past 6 years, i've had nothing but great and helpful experiences with the staff here. I just missed their return call as follow up on the status of re-entry, and they left all the info in the message. Throughout the pandemic specifically, i've been very dependent on the guidance of this office, and i've been very grateful for their time and responsiveness. Your efforts are appreciated. :)

Wish I would’ve had the friendly and helpful staff everyone is raving about here. They were quite short and rude. Definitely surprised by it. Next time I’ll go back to California to work with the kind and helpful officers there....actually anywhere but the Seattle office!
