I am surprised at the number of 5 star reviews of this location. I took my pet here as a function of locational convenience and these reviews and was incredibly disappointed. I am so confused at what everyone else is expecting in their veterinary professionals that this office is a 5 star location. The veterinarians and office staff are simply doing their job at an acceptable level. Front office is small, seating is poor, accomodation for larger pets is difficult given lack of space, only one person allowed with the pet at a time due to size constraints. They require deposits to retain booking spots. Prices are not exploitative (that I experienced) but they are certainly not economical considering the scope of work being completed, and the rates of their competition. Getting shots, blood work and medicine for our pet worked out to be twice as expensive as what Calgary Pet Wellness ended up billing, and they had treats for our pet and a far more accomodating space. I would say this is a 3 star location, but since there are so many nonsensical 5-star reviews it gets a 1 star.

We have been going to Copperfield Veterinary since we moved here in 2013, we had 2 English Bullmastiff’s a brother and sister from different litters 1.5 years difference in age. Our male died in 2105 at 9 years old and the female was 12.5 years old she was diagnosed with Addison’s disease at age 2 and we were told she would only live till she was 6 with the great care and proper bloodwork she needed regularly from Dr. Sandu she lived a very long successful life. They care and are very accommodating to the financial needs of a family and offer many options to be able to be able to care for your pet. I trust their judgement on the best care for your pet. We recently adopted an American pitbull terrier cross Rottweiler and have given me many tips on how to care for him and during Covid never took less time to talk to me and answer my questions about his care. They were able to provide care without me going into the clinic to put anyone at risk and didn’t sacrifice the care they give during these times.

The doctors and staff at Copperfield Veterinary Hospital have been amazing. They are patient, knowledgeable and clearly love and care about animals. We have been going to Copperfield for over 5 years. One of our cats is getting older and going to the vet has become an increasing ordeal for him over the years. He fights, screams and hisses, and the doctors and staff not only showed amazing care and patience with him, but offered to come and see the cat at our home instead, resulting in a quick, easy, stress-free appointment. We have also had our other cat in for dental surgery. The initial tests and diagnoses were thorough and informative. The possible courses of treatment were thoroughly explained to us, and the eventual surgery went flawlessly and our cat recovered wonderfully. Scheduling is always easy (even with the home visits) and we get convenient reminders for check-ups, vaccinations, etc. We would definitely recommend them without hesitation.

I moved here about 2 years ago and well my pets are my kids and hard for me to trust many with them and same goes for me little furry people! I searched for some time before some references of people I know pointed me to this clinic which happened to be pretty much at my back door! They are crazy awesome and my cats are so comfortable with them (as best as any animal going to the doctor) and they follow up and give the best advise (not money oriented). I am so happy to have my family be apart of another family that cares! Best experience! So if you have a little furry love one that needs some care take them here you and your pet(s) will walk away happy!

They were very nice and excepting to treat my dog during covid-19. My dog had an ear infection and require some solution. Basic yeast infection. Very common in dogs and vets see this everyday. I took my dog in and we were there for about 20 min in total. Total charge for the visit and solution: $286. This is stealing from pet owners. I spoke to lots of other vets and they said this should have been at most, $115. Including the solution. I recently had to take another pup to the vet for an allergy infect after hours and had steroid shots, 6 hours watch over and teeth cleaning for $80. This place is steeling from their customers.

I highly recommend this vet. They have been nothing but good to my cat and her required care to ensure she is receiving the best and safest treatments. I have seen some comments about this clinic being “money hungry” but that isn’t the case. Anything with VCA attached to it is money hungry. Based off my experiences through the years. I will never go to a VCA owned vet ever again. Privately owned vet clinics are by far more superior for animal care. This clinic is an example of that. The staff are amazing and helpful. They go over results thoroughly with you, which I’ve never experienced at any vet. 10/10.

Definitely read the negative reviews before taking your animal here. They are fine until there is a health issue with your animal, and then you just become a way for them to make money. Extremely unprofessional (was hung up on for asking to speak to the actual vet) and the vet who actually saw my dog refused to speak to me and had her colleague (I believe he is her husband) call me eventually. There are so many other vets who are in it for the love of animals and not just as a business. Very disappointed and highly do not recommend bringing your animal here.

Excellent vets who care about your animals. The vet always explains your care options and allows you to choose what you think is best - there's never a feeling of judgement. They have a great system for appointment reminders, particularly for those once-a-year needs like vaccines. I order food for my dog there as well and the order always comes in quickly. I would recommend this vet to friends and family. Kind, caring, and knowledgeable. I know my dogs are well taken care of at the Copperfield Vet clinic.

Both Dr. Raj Sandhu and Emma Sandhu, and their staff are great. Very friendly and professional and very caring for pets. I highly recommend this Vet location due to my personal experiences with both vets and staff dealing with our pets (two cats, one dog). They have been our vet for about 8 years now. Their pricing for their services is par for the course for Vet care in Calgary, but their friendliness and care is better than most vet locations in the city.

We have had our dog for 2 years and he has always seen Dr Raj at Copperfield Vet. We are always able to get in, they are not TOO busy, which is so necessary when your best little buddy falls ill. They have proven to be the most reasonable too when calling around for vaccines or a few minor procedures our pup had. We don’t price things out anymore,we just know they are the most reasonable and the service is always consistent.

Both the reception and the doctor are very friendly and patient. The reception lady went to great length to help me sort out my dog's profile transfer from my previous vets. The doctor seems to genuinely care about my dog and spent a lot of time explaining to me how to take better care of my dog. Also the price is better than my previous vets. Definitely would recommend it other people, especially if you live close by.

We went to Copperfield Veterinary Hospital when we adopted our two puppies i September 2022.We picked Copperfield based on the advice of our son who takes his dog there. He was not wrong. This is a great place. I am impressed with the front-end staff, the doctors we have met. They had not seen our breed before but became knowledgeable. We and the puppies love going there. Highly recommend you take your pet(s) there.

This vet clinic is great until your animal with a complex issue needs care/recommendations about treatment. I have never been treated so poorly regarding the care of my animal. The fill in vet I was forced to speak with in place of my vet should not be in a client/patient based business. Great job... I'm happy to say someone else will be getting my business for the care of my fur babies. Pathetic!

I had a great experience. They were super helpful and my cat loved them. A super team, the nurse who came out told me of some complications within the spay because of a small cyst on the ovary but it's all gone and she's never been better at no extra charge and a VERY reasonable price dor fixing and microchip too. Fantastic clinic, I know where I'm taking any future felines to get fixed!

First time going to this Vet with my yorkie. Great service and friendly doctor. Booked an appointment on a short notice. even the staff is also nice and professional! Highly recommended! They will check you in thru the phone and they will let you know when can you get in. The clinic rooms are clean. I have thousand questions for my little yorkie and the doctor was very patient with me.

I highly recommend this clinic. I was considering taking my cat for extended stay in Thailand and the process to obtain documentation to meet all requirements with airlines, port of entry and transiting countries is not an easy one. Our doctor and girl at the reception took every step to make the process easy and stress free providing information and accomodating with tight timelines.

Copperfield Vet have been our vets for years... we've owned multiple dogs and the Sandhu's have loved them all as much as we have. They are so caring, understanding, patient and loving. The Sandhu’s are amazing. We will stay loyal to this practice forever. They are knowledgeable and trustworthy, which means everything when your pet is in need. We are now bringing our second puppy to them and wouldn’t trust her with anyone else. Had a dosage mistake given to our puppy at another hospital and luckily they caught and corrected it. They know animal medicine.

The Copperfield Veterinary team has provided the best care for our babies. They take the time to answer our questions, provide alternatives & next steps and make us feel at ease, ensuring we are getting the best possible care! They were the first vet clinic to accept our "high maintenance" dog where she didn't feel stress at every visit. They provide exceptional care.

Our pup can be a bit timid/fearful at the vet in general and Copperfield Vets are excellent with her, they take their time and get her comfortable with them before they start any treatments! They also have always fit us in in emergency scenarios were our pup has suddenly fallen ill. We have only had excellent experiences with them and would highly recommend them!

I booked an appoinment for my both cats very easy and fast. Girls in reception are very kind. Dr. R. Sandhu is the best. She's patient and loving with my cats. They received a lot of cuddles from her. She explained every detail about their health. Also, how to care of them because this is my first time with cats. I highly recommend this veterinary.

Awesome vet - the only place I trust with my girl. They clearly care about animals and address concerns head-on. When other vets in the city have dismissed my concerns because they weren’t life-altering, the team here always works to get to the root of the issue. They helped me address and treat my cat’s allergies and now she’s healthier than ever.

I find this veterinarian hospital one of the top notch vets. They look after my dogs with sensitivity and caring. They have a terrific bedside manner towards my puppies. Whenever I have an issue, such as they've eaten something outside they shouldn't have, I have no problem getting in on short notice. Once again an outstanding a veterinarian.

Friendly, knowledgeable, know how to fill out insurance forms, and they CARE!!! Oh do the care. They price pretty average, and they keep you informed on any conditions which need monitoring. They dont push for procedures to make money, the care about the animal and will try every angle that fits your pet and you. Highly recommend them!

We’ve been taking our 2 Buggs (and former cat) to the Dr. Sandhu’s for 11 years now and am always appreciate of their genuine care for our pooches. They always provide their overview of scenarios for treatment and costs, with an unbiased but expert opinion. My dogs are never a fan of the vet, but I always know they’re in good hands :)

JUST A CASH GRAB tried to make an appointment for my dog, until i was told that their new policy "updated yesterday" now requires all pet parents to pay $60 up front BEFORE the appointment to secure your appointment to they will not book you at all. very disgusting, they care about the money more than your pet. go somewhere else.

I originally went to Copperfield Vet because I couldn’t get into mine, they made sure I got an appointment and I was very impressed with the information I was provided by the vet. I have continued to go back since. They really seem to care about the animals and their owners. I will recommend them to everyone I know

We just had our first visit to see Dr. Raj Sandhu and he was wonderful with our little dog. She was so nervous but he really did great with her. He was patient and kind and explained things very thoroughly for us. We were referred by friends to go here and we would have no problems recommending him to others.

We visited here while in Calgary over Christmas. Our dog had an infection above one eye that wouldn't go away. Got an appointment fairly quickly and we were treated very well. The exam and treatment (cleaning and ointment) were successful and cleared up the issue. The service price was very reasonable.

We have been taking our Husky to Copperfield Veterinary Hospital for 9 years. The Doctors and Staff have been great and the service amazing. The Doctors take the time to explain everything at each visit and they are prices are very fair. We have and continue to refer pet food owners there.

We don’t live in the community anymore but still make the trek across the city to come to Copperfield Vet. Excellent animal care and they spend quite a bit of time explaining & discussing any tips for my pup or needs my dogs has. Definitely recommend. My dog wags his whole bum going in!

We brought our cat here when we found she was urinating blood. The vet was very caring and explained all the possible options for treatment without any pressure to go one way over another. They were very thorough and made sure she was back to normal, despite a long recovery time.

Dr. Emma Sandhu is one of the best vets I have ever seen! She is conscientious and caring and really listens to your concerns. She spent a good hour with me going over what was wrong with our little puppy. I really appreciated her time knowledge and patience. Thank you so much!

The vets at this clinic are great! They really care about your pet and want what is best for them. I used to work here years ago but still drive out of my way to take my dog here since I know he will be treated right. My dog is my family and that is how he is treated here.

We had our first visit there yesterday. Staff is very friendly, especially Dr. Sandhu was very helpful and kind. She explained everything regarding my cat's ear infection, even showed me how exactly to apply his ear-drops. Very happy with the visit.
