I showed up Friday night around 11pm with my brother who is special needs. He has a slight physical disability. We walk in and the bouncer did not let us in because my brother needed assistance going up the stairs at the entrance (which I was doing). The bouncer inside by the name of Yonatan said he couldn't let us in because my brother would be a liability if he falls. I said but he won't fall because I am right here next to him guiding him. He proceeded to tell me that he has the authority to analyze the situation and say we could not come in. I then said but this goes against my brother's human rights.. he then asked what rights are those? I educate him by informing him that no one should be denied goods or services based on their disability. He then replies that this is a private property, to which I responded that they are open to the public, meaning they have the right to serve to the public and not discriminate base on someone's disability. Two other bouncers approached us to try to rectify the situation, but it was too late. We do not feel welcomed here. Yonatan then comes out to say he spoke to the manager that was "willing to make an exception this one time" .... This shouldn't need to be an exception made . People with disabilities don't deserve to be discriminated or denied entry to a bar on a Friday night at 11pm. My brother is a young guy like anyone else and he just wanted to be out and socialize like any other individual In their 20s. Needless to say, we will be boycotting this place and will proceed to spread the word of how they disrespect people here.

Went here today with my friend for the first time and we absolutely will not be back. Our server was snotty and rude and threw our bills at us at the end when we had been nothing but nice to her after waiting for 20 minutes to get our order taken. Took forever to get our drinks and by the time the appetizer came, we still had not been seen by our server. She did not come by to see if we needed anything or if we enjoyed our food. We sat for at least 15 minutes after finishing our appetizer. We didn’t even bother ordering mains because clearly the service was slow and we weren’t being cared for. We sat on the back patio and while our sever had tables it wasn’t very busy. Bartenders and staff in the back were a joke too. Smoking their juuls and not offering to help our “busy” server out because they’re too busy socializing. Am giving it 2 stars because I did enjoy the one appetizer we had however the service is non-existent and in that case I will not recommend this establishment to anyone.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. Was there last night. The waitress was disgusting. Didn't care about our table. We dropped a drink and let her know. Didn't bring us any napkins, one of us ran to get some. Didn't check in on us. We had to waive her down constantly and she would avoid us. We ordered a round of shots and she kept rolling her eyes at us. We asked for to go containers and she threw them at us. Then she has the nerves to take off her mask and tell us that we didn't tip her properly. And that if we cant afford to pay then we should not come. The food here was quite good. My partner and I shared the marinated sirloin steak that you cook to your liking yourself on a hot lava stone. Cooking the steak on the stone was probably the most fun I've ever had at a restaurant. When it was all said and done, the food itself was really really good. The only critique I have is our meal was listed as a meal for two people and the amount of food we got didn't leave us feeling satisfied at the end. Our portion of meat was actually perfect, but more rice and veggies would have been appreciated. Given how cheap it would be to provide a little bit more of these parts of the dish, it confuses me why they were so skimpy with them. Service was lovely, a very nice young lady made sure our time at Cornerstone was enjoyable and comfortable from start to finish.

The service was fine the atmosphere was OK. I find the food and drinks are not worth it. I ordered the mojito it wasn't properly muddled to release the juice and fragrances of the ingredients. The ice was then added on top of the drink instead of mixed in which made the ice melt and my drink tasteless. The spinach dip was either pre packaged or made from a can of Campbell's soup, no strands of spinach and no flavor what so ever to the dip. the nachos were probably the only thing we got that was not totally disgusting and last but not least our steak was alright. the price for the food and drink is extremely high for the quality you receive, very disappointing.

Well we only had the sharing plates and it was late so I'll try to give this place the benefit of the doubt and assume there were better dishes. It's pretty difficult to judge a place based solely upon nachos and wings. I heard someone at a table nearby exclaim to their waiter that their dishes were delicious although that could have very well been just to please him. The food and drinks were subpar and overpriced, the washrooms were disgusting, and they served Pepsi rather than Coke. That being said, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere, it was very comfortable, the pizza was okay but not worth 19$ and the waiter was good. I think 3 stars is a fair rating based on the varied reviews I've read. The only thing that could bring me back is the eye candy.

Nice atmosphere and great late night menu that offered cheap drinks ($5-$6). The good: The bar was clean and had a food atmosphere. There were two separate seating areas, one a little more quiet than the other. Well priced drinks. What could be better: Service was very slow. The place was full, but it was still unreasonably slow for drinks. Very limited gluten free options. I believe there were only three items that were labelled gluten free, and one was a caesar salad without croutons. Overall, this a really nice place for reasonably priced drinks before the late night crowd comes in. After, it was a bit too busy in the bar area for people looking to sit down for a casual drink. The lounge area still looked fairly quiet.

What a disappointment! The place is nice but the service is so bad! The waitress was barely polite, very long service and almost non-existent... We had to ask a second time only for two glasses of water to another waiter. The place wasn't very busy, in contrary of others restaurant in the neighborhood. Now we know why... It was not the most welcoming experience.. my girlfriend and I went in hopes of having a date night and when we arrived three of the employees were sat at the bar eating, the host who sat us was one of them and she seemed very bothered to have to greet us. There was only one table on the side we were on and we had seen another server and a bartender on the floor but had no one come see us after nearly 10 minutes so we left. Overall not a very comfortable way to start off at a restaurant and typically I don't criticize a long wait time if it is busy but with more staff in the place than there are customers that should not happen.

So, Saturday afternoon, busiest time in any downtown in any country in the world. No host to sit people down. Had to go find someone to sit us down after waiting 15 minutes on a small line up of people. Some decided to leave. No staff, no waitresses, not enough bartenders to serve the drink on a timely fashion manner. Waited over 20 minutes to get our drinks. Where is management??? Unacceptable, this is downtown. the quality of the food has diminished significantly over the past few years. I used to like the pizza here, last time I got one there were giant wedges of tomato on my pizza the instantly burned my mouth with steaming hot tomato water. the nachos were the smallest portion of nachos I have Ever seen, and it was for 'sharing'. Food was good, service was ok. When it came time to pay the bill was handed to me at the same time as the machine and I didn't have a chance to have a good look. The tip was added to my bill, and without noticing I added another 18% tip on top. If I would have known the tip was included I likely would have tipped that amount anyway, we were a large group and the server was taking good care of us. I just think it's a bit scummy to not be upfront about it and rush the payment process. Had a good night, but then it ended on a sour note.

The service was slow. Bartender said he didn't know if they had WiFi when server clearly said no. Seemed weird for bartender not to know. Also, someone had just vomited at the bar which may indicate he was overserved. Staff took a long time to simply get a bucket and clean it up. Seemed like this place was disorganized. Only good thing was the lava stone sizzle thing that cooks your skewer right at your table....but the shrimp looked like they were out of a can - so small! I wouldnt go back, way to many other options on the block.

I never complain about restaurants, but this one was the first time I got served cold food. Not just one dish either. Every item served to everyone in my group was freezing. It wasn’t even slightly warm, honestly felt like it just came out of the fridge. All I could think of was Gordon Ramsay being dramatic and spitting it out lol. It wasn’t bad, tasted pretty okay overall, but it wasn’t warm. It was also pretty expensive, especially for what was served.

I came with a friend a few weeks back. We were greeted and sat in the lounge side by the bar in a lovely circular booth. The gentleman serving us was very polite. The food on the other hand, tool 45 minutes for a chicken nacho and spinach dip. When they did come out the nachos were a bit mushy, like they had been sitting for a while. It didn't seem like they were overly busy, so it was a bit confusing. The new renovations look great, and the sever was very nice. The food could have been a lot better.

Worst nachos ever ! Cheese quality was inferior no flavour not melted enough with the bland nacho chips over fried piled too much with toppings in middle vs spread out across all the nacho chips! I make better ones at home! Save yourself $18.00! Coke was flat too watered down with too much ice and not sweet enough! Boy oh boy Ottawa food experiences here are one bad after another! Missing Montreal for great good!

Only stopped for a drink here and can't really comment on the food. The main thing that stood out is that a bottle of domestic beer was $7, and even stranger, almost a dollar more expensive than its draft option! That's something I've never seen before. It took a while for the server to take our order, to the point where we were discussing just leaving, but after that she was pretty attentive. My overall impression is there are better options in the market if you just want a beer.

We had a great meal here on a Tuesday night. Shared an order of the cauliflower wings with a classic buffalo sauce and they were just so delicious - tangy and hot but also somehow light. We then had a really nice pizza with excellent fresh tomatoes, good quality cheese and a nicely blistered crust. Service was prompt and efficient and the terrace was comfortable and cozy. Thanks for a lovely meal - will definitely be back next time I'm in Ottawa.

Amazing place to grab a bite to eat if visiting! Patio is dog friendly as long as you have a seat right by the road :) Prices were what was expected considering it is Ottawa. Portions were a little small BUT hamburgers were homemade and everything was very filling!!! Staff are very friendly and have no problem accommodating for guests. Overall very nice place to go!!!

So it’s was September 9 , I took my friend out for her birthday for drinks then she pulled this broken glass out of her mojito drink. It was shocking cause she just finished her drink and I walked to the bartender and pour the drink in front of him and he noticed the broke glass right away then throw it away immediately, without apologizing. The supervisor was extremely helpful and the restaurant manager also help us in this nightmare.

It's shocking and disheartening that they discriminate against people with physical disabilities. My friend brother who is physically disabled was denied entry from a bouncer. They were told her brother would be a liability. She was helping him walk in and the bouncer was very close minded. Had a burger and fries with a beer. I thought that the service was amazing and quick. My beer was cold and good. The burger was decent and my fries were crispy. Really good experience and I would go back. I think next time I would love to try their pizza. I give this place an easy 3.8 stars. Oh Canada - July 1st in Ottawa's Byward Market at the Cornerstone Bar and Grill celebrating Canada day with a true Canadian double - the Canadian pizza and a Molson Canadian draught. Both were perfect for this hot day. Service was excellent; friendly, attentive and the resto was fully staffed ready to serve patriotic revelers. A very enjoyable experience.

There was only server until approximately 1pm for a full patio and a couple customers indoors and so... our drinks and food took over an hour, she forgot our second drink order and the kitchen did not observe my request. The patio area was nice, and it appeard as though the service was getting better once we left and the second server arrived.

Went for dinner last night. Sat on the beautiful patio. The atmosphere was great. We were able to do some people watching as we ate our yummy bowls. The food was great however the portion could have been just a bit bigger. A must try is the watermelon sangria.

So the restaurant is called "... & Grilled" but the grill options are like... 2.... the steak was mediocre and too small for the price, and the burger was very disappointed. Food's pretty good, beer was terribly warm, tables were darn near falling apart (almost lost our food/drink several times from the table shifting). Poor waitress seemed overwhelmed/fatigued from the supper rush, but the service was still good/friendly, just seemed like they needed more coverage.

Food is unique and tasty. A lot of Gluten Free and Vegetarian options. The staff is very friendly and nice. We met Jessica( the manager) who helped us to make the best choices. Our kids had a lot of fun and enjoyed the food. We definitely will visit this place again next time we come to Ottawa.

Great patio to soak in the Market. Great people watching on a weekend night. Heat lamps help on cool evenings. Good service and good specials after 9pm. Washrooms are clean but the women’s are all individual rooms and some of the doors wouldn’t close fully.

Staff here was great and their patio seating was surprisingly comfortable. Servers here were super attentive even though there were a ton of guests, and the prices were good too. Drinks and food came out really quickly. Overall a really good experience.

The nachos and pizza was great but drinks was nothing special. Would definitely say give it a try when it’s not busy.

Great for a friday night; casual drinks and grab-a-bite night with friends. Great view by the window seating.

The Super Foods Quinoa Bowl was tasteless. No sauce, spice or anything on top.

The steak was good but it took a bit too long. Cocktails didn’t surprise me.
