Big fan of Cornish Pasty from years past in Tempe. Always a risk when you rapidly expand (prolly thru franchising). Quality tends to dilute. I’d say it’s a matter of working out the initial glitches, but seeing as how this location was over a year in opening and has been open for a few months, kinda hard to chalk it up to that. Came in for lunch. No signage on the building yet, and entrance was a little confusing. “Seat yourself anywhere…”. Sat down. QR code menu. Waited about 15 minutes trying to figure out if maybe we sat in the wrong area or something. Asked the bartender if we needed to move, and she said, oh no, just didn’t see you. She brought over some menus and proceeded to caution us that we should have 3-4 options as they were out of a lot of stuff and their order hadn’t come in yet. (so, at least we know the filling is coming out of pouches (not necessarily a bad thing, but at 15+ for hand pies, it’s a little bit of a mental downer). Pretty lucky. No Scotch Egg for appetizer, but only denied on two pasty attempts at our table (Royale w Cheese, Chicken Pot Pie). All about expectations. Say your out of everything and when you’re only out of 1/2, it feels like a win. Outside of the long wait, service was OK. Waitress wasn’t exactly a ball of joy, but she did fine. The food was good - even if not the first option. We had Pork & Apple, Italian, and Peppered Steak, and an order of fresh chips. All were reasonably tasty. Update: And a couple weeks later some of the cobwebs seems to have been shake out. Service was energetic, friendly, and efficient. All food options were available. Got to have my favorite (scotch cobb)! Hope they keep it up. ———————— Definitely rooting for this place. The idea of having a Cornish Pasty in the neighborhood is great. However, strictly speaking, this was a pretty meh experience for the price point. Hoping to visit again a few months and see them operating more like the one Mesa or Tempe.

This is my first time at the 32nd Street location. Parking was ample and there were plenty of seating options including patio. This visit I tried the minted lamb and potato pasty. The boyfriend had the carne adobovado and he really liked his. I liked mine, and I deeply appreciate Adrianna and the kitchen staff for researching which sauces didn't have garlic due to an intolerance I have with that. We also tried the sticky toffee pudding for the first time. It comes in a mini cast iron pan with caramel on top and vanilla ice cream on side. I think because the cast iron was still cooking it while at the table, the edges did get a burnt caramel taste but it was otherwise a great dessert to have at the restaurant. We also took home the banoffee pie and the PBJ pasty. Those were also great! More than anything, Adrianna was an amazing server and we really appreciated her!

Vegetarian options
They have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options on all their most loved pasties including options for dessert (example: eton mess) and appetizers.
Dietary restrictions
As mentioned in my review, I mentioned a garlic intolerance/allergy, and they checked all their sauce recipes to ensure I didn't get one that would cause me issues.

It's a combined parking lot with CVS on right, an orthodontist office on left and more parking next to that (left).

Forever grateful for my server (I wish I could remember her name). She gave me the extra push I needed to FINALLY try the Lovely Bit o Salmon. I’ve tried nearly a dozen of the other hand pies on the menu and have NEVER been disappointed. This experience was no different. If you’re on the fence about giving it a try- don’t be afraid! The salmon by itself seemed a tad over cooked/dry HOWEVER as an entire Pasty, with the other ingredients, it absolutely outshined my expectations. I could write an entire review on just the butter sauce that it came with but I’ll just say this- SOOOO FREAKING GOOOD. I wish I could purchase by the tub for other fish dishes I make at home. BRAVO CORNISH PASTY! *****A quick note about this location. I’m a die hard CP fan but I will say this location leaves more to be desired. Some shade coverings on the outside and foliage would really put it on par with the brand/other locations. The large white wall inside is a bit of an eye sore and I wish the atmosphere did a better job at making me forget where I am. All of the other Cornish Pasties I’ve been to have such a seamless aesthetic and I’d just love to see some more effort out in to this location. That being said- it’s not a deal breaker and I’m so happy you guys have given me a location closer to home!

We have been going to various locations of the Cornish Pasty Company for years. It's great for our family because they have a big selection of vegetarian options and plenty of omnivore choices too. Portions are generous and more often than not I can take home half for a delicious lunch the next day. The only downside is they are usually out of a few menu items every day, so you'll have to have a backup choice. I have never had a bad meal there so they have been consistently good for several years and at every location I have been to.

I think the main purpose of this establishment is that its a bar. All that being said, the food was decent, it was too dark in the restaurant to actually see my food! I ordered the chicken pot pie. It was a bit salty but otherwise good. One of our companions ordered the chicken Caesar salad, she got a half order and it was huge! I can't imagine what the whole order of the salad looked like. The portion sizes for everyone's meal was very generous and no one had complaints about their meal. Our server, Irene, was awesome! Our party had 26 people in it and she got everyone's order correct and everyone's drinks full!

Absolutely delicious food and the staff are awesome. We already knew the food was going to be great because we were regulars at the Scottsdale location. We were ecstatic when we found out that a Cornish Pasty Co was opening around the corner from our house. My favorite is a new addition to the menu, the Hatch Chili burger. There are currently 45 options for pasty's. I've tried 7 and my goal is to try them all. Everything looks and sounds delicious. The only bummer is that sometimes the most popular pasty's sell out (so go early in the evening). There are always delicious choices if your favorite is sold out.

"Went" there last night with friends. Went is in parentheses because absolutely NO ONE served us for 20 minutes (timed it on our phones). 4 servers helping people and asking others if they needed anything else but our party must have been invisible. Maybe the dart boards have that ability to blind the staff from people needing service. One of the worst things to do in the restaurant industry is to NOT be a restaurant. Only time we got any type of "acknowledgment" was when a bartender made eye contact when we left to go to another place. Went to the Vig, I highly recommend them instead. Website states they're understaffed. It definitely showed. Maybe people should go when they are more adequately staffed and can remove that from their website. Here's to hoping that day comes for them...

We like this new location. The food is consistent with the other locations we've frequented in the past. My main qualm is with the music. We've visited 3 times now and dined outside, thinking the music would at least be at a level where you don't have to shout to hear each other, but it's deafeningly loud. I get it's a bar, but we were visiting during early dinner hours each time, and it is unbearably loud. We've asked our server if they could turn it down but the whole sound system is connected inside and out and they are unable (or unwilling) to turn it down. I need my eardrums so won't even consider dining inside. Not a grumpy old lady complaining, young and used to frontman rock bands..... it's TOO FRIGGIN LOUD!

  • Gary Anderson

Outstanding service considering how large our group was. They DO have the capability of, what appeared to be, of seating 12-14. I may have exaggerated by 2, but large groups can enjoy their fabulous meals together! Our server (Large mustache) was cordial and took care of us well! The FOOD is unbelievable with so much variety that it CAN take a while to decide. They do have a full bar as well!

This was our first experience with the Cornish Pasty, having seen the restaurant chain represented on "Check Please Arizona". We were taken a little aback as we walked in shortly after 12 noon, and found we were the only customers there, and we found the room to be sort of darkish/bar-like. However, we stayed and found the pastys to be delicious and filling. Also, our server Emmy was friendly, informative and she did a great job helping us.

Out of the dozens of times I've been here I've yet to have an item on the menu I don't like. My personal favorites are the bangers and mash, the roast beef sarnie, and the French dip. . The selection of beers is great and there is always something new to try. The staff are also some of the friendliest out of any restaurant I regularly go to.

My husband and I just ordered from here for the first time. I had no Idea what I was ordering but it is the most delicious food I've ever had. we got the cottage pie, Guinness pie and potato leek soup.also ordered red wine gravy, horseradish sauce and the peppercorn brandy cream sauce. I recommend all 3 sauces, but the one to die for is the peppercorn cream sauce. The pies are handheld, crispy/flaky crust and they are perfect loaded with just the right amount of each ingredient. Everything is sooo good!

Always been a huge fan of this place since my Tempe days, now to have one in our neighborhood is a real treat! This location is exceptional, they’ve always provided great service even if I’m just placing a take out order. The ambiance is relaxing as well. The only problem is deciding on a pasty-it’s always a toss up between the French dip and salmon. You can’t go wrong here!

The music was not noticeable today. Everyone looked very content with their meal and the ambiance. We were there, enjoying pasties for the first time. The service was terrific. Love the food, love the beer, love the service. We actually found out from a server that the Flagstaff location uses Matador Coffee (a local coffee chain and roaster), and that makes me so happy. The tandoori wings are hands down the best wings I've found. I typically order the Oggie pasty, which is hearty and definitely comforting. Wash it all down with a locally crafted beer and this place schlapps!

I am upset we have NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE!! This place was AWESOME!! Not only was the food delicious, but the atmosphere, music, and service were just as good. Start with an Irish car bomb here! Always a fan of their tandoori wings, Chicken Tikka pasty and banoffee pie! Glad we now have one close to the neighborhood and do not have to drive downtowns! If you dine here often, note the wings have increased from 6 to 10 a plate! Better get it confirmed before placing the order.

Yummy & different…nice to have some more options in our area. Tried 2…they are good…a bit pricey…and my only real negative is the loud not at all good music inside…makes eating in “not an option” and even picking up is a bit awkward having to order at the bar…I had to eat on the patio to get away from music! Alsowish there was more of a “take out” window experience/ ease. And please please carry Blue Moon beer! :)

We normally love this place, but this time it was bad. We ordered takeout of 2 Pasties. 1 of them was the wrong order entirely. The other was a Ruben with thick chunks of corned beef that weren't even tender. I could see if it was busy, but there were 2 people in the place at lunch time. If I'm going to spend $50 and tip 18% on a takeout order, I expect better.

I had the French Dip Pasty and it was really good. It had a horseradish and beef dip sauce that really went well and elevated the taste of the already wonderful pasty. I went to England in 2015 and loved the pasty and never thought I would have something that tasty again. I was wrong the Cornish Pasty Co now has a loyal fan of their food.

My hubby and I end up here a couple times a week now, it’s just that good! We’ve gone through about 1/3 of the menu and my favorites are shepherds pie or chicken pot pie. His are the Cajun chicken and the cubano. But let’s be real, you can’t go wrong. Beer selection is great and servers have all been lovely. Oh! And whoever picks the music (lots of QOTSA), I thank you.

This place is amazing. I found this gem as it was close by our home and boy what a surprise. The drinks were fast and phenomenal. This place is going places, get your spot while you can!

I always love the food at any of the Cornish Pasty establishments, especially the soups (when it's not so hot). This one in N Phoenix is the newest one and we will keep coming back for the good food and atmosphere. There is a great bar with lots of beer options.

Had an Oggie and a Chicken Tikka Masala, both very tasty. The Tikka was about a 5 out of 10 spicy. It's a bar too, so the music was a bit loud. They have a bunch of flavors, including veggie an vegan options. Will be back

Everything was so yummy! I got the Mexican which reminded me of my favorite green chili pot pie at Mama Toledos in Moon Valley. The Sweet Heat cocktail was refreshing. I didn't get any heat though. The chicken liver pate was so good. That bread it came with is AMAZING More

Great to find a Cornish pasty place here as a Brit but the only problem is that when we've been literally half the menu is not available...they need to have a smaller menu or what's popular and make more.

First time at this location, we go just for the cream of leek Stilton soup which is awesome. Good amount of seating, too dark inside like the other locations. All the pasties I've had are really good, but they're not $18 good for how small they are.

The Cornish Pasty Company is a hidden gem that Whisks you away to England the moment you step through its doors. With its charming interior, complete with a long bar and a couple of billiard tables, you'll feel as though you've stepped into

If you open a restaurant, please tell servers to eat after their shift and clean the place up. Also found a pit in my pasty and ingredients in the Greek chicken were miserable.
