"This is great store in most respects"
"All the staff there are so friendly and helpful"
My husband and I shop here quite a bit, but only because it’s convenient for basic items. The selection isn’t amazing with it being such a small store and lately the deli doesn’t seem very well stocked. Some of the cashiers are super friendly, others not so much, but that’s true of any grocery store these days. Baggers have no idea what they’re doing. We usually have ripped bags or smashed items by the time we get things loaded in the car. Prices are more expensive than Hyvee or Price Chopper, and produce is way more expensive than even Sprouts. My main problem though, is that there have been multiple occasions where I’ve found expired products on the shelves. Several times the items were expired by 6+ months. Since there usually aren’t workers walking throughout the store, I mentioned it to a cashier who didn’t seem phased by it. Overall, it’s great if you live close and need just a couple of items. Buying an entire cart of groceries, on the other hand, is a waste of money. Better stock, quality, and prices a mile away at Price Chopper.
Worst experience ever. The older woman in the pharmacy was so rude. She actually was yelling at me. I was trying to get my prescription and was using an app called blink. She told me it was fraudulent. Every time she said that I tried to tell her if its fraudulent then we need to get a manager, BC I know others who use this app, and here at this location. She continued to tell me to shut up and to listen to her, its fraud. How rude and unprofessional of her to be yelling, and repeating herself. She should have listened to me and got a manager. Everyone who used the gashland pharmacy had to find a new pharmacy bc they closed. So I do not reccommend this pharmacy for anything. I was treated so badly. The older woman there was somewhere around 50 give or take. I didnt know her name, but she was in charge of the younger female who appeared in her 20s. The younger girl was not rude, but did not have say. I hope a manager will see this and realize all the new clients they could be getting but will lose bc of her.
I’ve had enough of this place. The food I have bought here has always been less fresh than other stores like HyVee and Price Chopper, but it has been convenient to come here because it is closer to home. Unfortunately tonight it was not convenient because the dinner I purchased for my family was a year expired. Now we don’t have dinner. I called the store manager to inform him that there is a product on the shelves that has been expired since March 2021. The response the manager gave me was that it had to have come expired from the manufacturer because they were recently sold out of those and just got a shipment. No responsibility taken. Are you sure this wasn’t the last box stored somewhere in the back?! It’s from 2021!!!!! This same manager was recently very rude to me at the customer service desk, because he did not know how to perform the transaction I was requesting. He ended up walking away, leaving us at the counter alone until a cashier came to help us. I won’t be coming back.
This is great store in most respects. The deli needs serious recipe upgrades for the prepared foods. It’s worse than school cafeteria food. I asked for refried beans for a Feed the Teachers day and the female who was very friendly told me that they just heat up the cans from the shelves in the store. I was cool with that. So I ask, who assume must have been the deli supervisor, to heat me up a batch to buy. He looked at me like it was beneath him and said so and so in the back is busy so it will take at least an hour. The manager was doing absolutely nothing but standing there so I asked, can’t you just pop it in the microwave real quick? He gives me the dirtiest look and rolls his eyes and doesn’t even answer me. I stood there like an idiot for 5 minutes thinking they were doing it. But that wasn’t the case. Work on this SunFresh because the prepared food is better at the nearby Quick Trip.
All the staff there are so friendly and helpful. But I want to show a special individual review for a gal that was so nice and professional she brought me to tears when she offered to save my day !! Another placed messed up my husband's bday cake and couldn't make it right in the time needed for when we needed the cake. All places require at least a 24 hour notice on a cake, well Brittany the manager here at Sunfresh on North Oak offered to do what I needed and said she would make the time to do it for us and she did. They did very well !! This bday meant a lot to us tnis year for personal reasons so Sunfresh really saved the day for me !! God bless you and Thank you Brittany and all the staff as well. !!
This is honestly the worst grocery store in the entire metro of Kansas City. They’re located about 3 minutes away from where I live and I consistently drive by it now and go to Hy-Vee instead which is 10 more minutes away because they actually know how to restock things. It literally takes this sunfresh location a good month to restock anything. And I mean anything. I’ve been there super early in the mornings before as well and not once have I ever seen a stocking person. Not only that, but one morning I was walking out and literally saw roaches on the floor around the stairs that leaf up to the staff office. Stay away from this grocery store. It’s extremely poorly managed.
Really wouldn't even give it a 1 :( I use to love this store...stopped by customer service often to tell them how great they were...not anymore...coupon policy is stupid!!! Only policy like this in town...one like coupon per purchase. I now take the Sunfresh ad, if anything good in it and go to Walmart...price match and use my coupons. Should hand a sign out front that says...Coupon Shoppers Not Welcome! A checkout person said big changes have come about and not only do they mistreat the customers...make it hard for employees to get enough hours to support their families. Lost my business bigtime
Not black friendly, customer service looks at you like you what the heck are you doing in our store, Hate ever doing business with this store, it all begins with EVERYONE knowing a non profit charitable organization with 501c3 is tax exempt. All Walmart, big lots, sams,Best Buy even dollar general recognizes this in form of a non tax due letter from state of Missouri, Not this place if your a successful black woman this place absolutely SUCKS...... expensive too, I suppose that's why they don't expect blacks to be able to afford to come to their store so to say anyways ZERO STARS for racism
Only grocery store in a several mile radius so who can complain? It's clean and well staffed and even has a wonderful coupon lady if you catch her on shift. Fresh baked goods and a butcher on site most of the time. Overall friendly staff and doesnt seem to have much turnover. Fresh cut deli meat and cheeses and dinners to go in the deli plus cooked meats & specials, too. They have good ads and pretty much have everything I need. The store isnt too big and isnt too small and it is nice to have them here to serve our community.
Not my favorite grocery store but it's a convenient location if you're in the area. The issues I have with it come down to price and service. In my experience product prices can be found cheaper at other stores, and usually the sales here aren't anything special. For service, they have a limited number of lanes which are usually staffed by an even more limited number of employees. Add to that there's no self check out, so peak shopping hours nearly always result in long wait times, regardless of how much you're buying.
After entering the store to use US Bank, I noticed several customers did NOT have on a mask. I overheard a group of cashiers asking each other what protocol was if a customer didn't have on a mask. None of the 3 knew. I was in a hurry and called the manager and spoke with Ben. He stated that the store doesn't have the man power to enforce anyone to put a mask on. Not enforcing a rule set out by the city is not a way to earn my business and I wont use Sun Fresh for any of my needs.
I don't know if I can legitimately recommend going there. I sware I went in for salad; picked up lettuce, tomato, onion at reasonable prices. On my way to get dressing I glanced at steaks; they had KC Strip for $6 a pound. Whoever sliced them made many near two inches tall. That sale singlehandedly obliterated my diet for the weekend. I'm not sure their management understands how supply and demand works. They already have good staff and selection, but why not cheap steak too.
What a rude place to shop. I had gone in ad shopping on a Saturday afternoon. Starting a conversation with the cashier, I told her I didn't usually come in but the ad was so good I made the trip. She literally told me how the employees hated people like me that did their ad shopping and moved on. I truly felt like taking everything out of my cart that was not on the ad, and having it placed back on the Shelf. I've never gone back.
Every time I've gone into this place, the cashiers, the people that work in the deli, the customer service folks have been rude. I keep giving it a chance because I live so close, but I'll be going out of my way to go somewhere else. I'd rather get punched in the face than shop here again. PS the produce is limited and more often than not going bad. Every single time I've looked at the blueberries they were moldy. Obviously moldy.
We've always had good experiences at this grocery store, especially at the pharmacy. They always get our prescriptions ready faster than any pharmacy I've been to and I've been to a lot of them. And they have a great program going on when you get prescriptions. With every 10, they give you a $10 store gift card. With as many as we have to get we've gotten a lot of gift cards. Great store!
Slightly more expensive than some other grocery stores, but they do have great sales so you can still save money. There is a surprisingly good selection of staples and not so often used products considering this is not an overly large store and I have always found the employees to be friendly and helpful (shout out to Sophia for doing a great job bagging my groceries!).
Seems a little on the pricier side, good for last minute items or things you've run out of and need to grab on the way home I suppose. Not a lot of selection, though, and VERY difficult to find what you're looking for. Never did find their spices, but after checking what felt like every single aisle, I just gave up. Probably should have just asked someone but oh well.
Great store - excellent selection, good location. Employees are all great (occasionally get a bad sacker that needs more training) and helpful. I do wish they did a gas rewards program like Price Chopper. I find myself going to the new Price Chopper more and more as the "rewards" Sun Fresh gives are chintzy ($5 back after you spend 500 or something lame like that)
There is a lady they call coupon lady. She took the time to organize coupons at her till. If you are lucky enough to get her she will find coupons for all your stuff. I am not the kind of guy who searches for coupons, or cares that much to save a couple of dollars but she is cool and because of her extra effort that is where I will get my groceries from now on.
I've always loved wide aisles in a grocery store. Someone inevitably wants to view the top or bottom shelves so they need to stand across the aisle from their item. That's not a problem here. Clean store. Our cashier was a hoot, enjoyed laughing with her about making points as a Mother-in-law. They had everything we needed.
Whoever runs their inventory department is truly incompetent. 75% of the time I go to this store there’s at least 3 things on my list that are out of stock. I’ve never experienced anything like this at any other grocery store. I can’t imagine how much money they lose out on having so many different items OOS so consistently
I've gotten rotten meat from there 3 or 4 times. I buy and cook the same day so it's not from me leaving it out or letting it get old either. Taken it back twice. I live a half mile from the store so I keep hoping for the best but last time a beef tenderloin I just bought that I was unsure of but cooked anyway got me sick.
It's a great place if you're Cosentino fan like Price Chopper but this one just happens to me and sunfresh great service Fine Foods everything was wonderful they're great prices on some things and there's spaghetti sauce it's out of this world especially try Grandma's recipe you can't go wrong with her that's it for now
Literally left Sunfresh 30 minutes ago... Got home to discover the mustard I bought was expired by almost a month... Frustrating and not really worth going back over since I don't normally shop there. I know it's not the nicest grocery store in the area, but you'd think they'd rotate product/check expiration dates...
This is a wonderful "neighborhood" store...many people have worked there a long time, so it is nice to have so many pleasant, familiar friendly faces. It is clean with many great weekly sales. The pharmacy customer service is amazing...in all, EVERYONE goes the extra mile...so thankful it is so close to my house.
Very displeased. All of my bread was smashed because a sacker named Zach Smith put milk ON TOP OF IT!!!! Thankfully, a nice man named Mitch Barton came in and readjusted my groceries. If it wasn't for him, I would have permanently switched to Price Chopper!!! AND NOT A COSENTINO'S PRICE CHOPPER!!!
Decent grocery store. Not too crowded. Has what you need. Probably is not the cheapest one around but had stuff to buy so. If you need a place with stuff to buy. I cannot comment on the produce as I did not buy any. This isn't my first choice grocery store but if you are nearby it will work.
The nicest people in the world work here. I don’t care what the prices are, though I always find them reasonable. The PEOPLE who work there is what brings me back. I feel lucky to have this grocer in my neighborhood. Thank you guys, for all you do! Also, the food made in house is fantastic!
I shop at Sunfresh a lot. I have always thought that their meat was superior. Today I bought 1 porterhouse steak that cost me 20.00. We eat our steak medium rare. Also I marinated it. I am not kidding you it was like chewing a rubber band. Even the tenderloin was aweful. Very upsetting!!!!
Great store for quick shopping needs. Love the pharmacy and pharmacist. They recognize me when I come in and have always been amazingly helpful with great customer service. I just recently had to move out of the area and finding a new pharmacy I like as much is not going to be easy!
They never have produce out first thing.. so I have to make 2 TRIPS every weekend for what I need. I am disabled, and in the heat I get sick, so I try and do everything early.. everything but get the fresh produce my animals need. If u need something fresh early, go somewhere else.
I visited this sunfresh last week at ~730 am. The store was immaculately stocked, organized, clean. I felt like I walked into organizer heaven. Everything was faced, stocked, and in the right place. And I mean EVERYTHING. The night crew sure is working for that paycheck.
The staff is the friendliest around and so efficient! Prices are great and no lack of stock at all! My go to store all the time for the past several months. Was a Price Chopper customer for many years but have never had the great experiences there like I do at Sunfresh!
Great customer service and not highly over priced for a neighborhood grocery store. Always have a great selection of fresh meats and vegetables to choose from. In the summer months they grill steaks and twice baked potatoes on Wednesday evenings from 4pm-8pm for $7.00!
This is my favorite Sun Fresh. I used to frequent it when I lived right down the road. I still pop in from time to time hoping they'll have their delicious smoked chicken thighs. I now live a block away from another but it's very clearly not owned by the same family.
Friendly people clean store prices are high but I love going in Fried chicken is the worst I've ever had. You should stop selling it or get someone who knows what's going on .You use to have the best chicken ever now all dry skin and coating dry dry and meat is dry.
Staff act like you're going to steal something and manager (the bald headed guy) should not just stand there and flirt with girls and the female employees while someone needs help bagging ... Something that the actual supervisor should really take a look at....
You would think a neighborhood grocery store would be alot more helpful and respectful to their customers then this. The floor staff was fantastic, but if it were up to Managers like Mike to keep the store afloat. They would be out of buisness by months end.
I really like this store. Though smaller than some, they still have an excellent selection of products. Pricing is reasonable with great weekly sales. It is conveniently located in a residential area. I love how they treat their customers as neighbors.
I get off of work at 10p. Usually arrive at the store by 1030p. They close at 11p. They absolutely do not want you there. MAD rude announcements to hurry up and get out. Price Chopper just down the road. Go there instead. Higher quality meats tbh.
Great place to buy ggroceries! Fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh fish and meats, awesome deli department, shelves are always filled with items you might need, very clean facility, and one of the friendliest group of management and staff anywhere!
Bought some brats out of the fresh meat case on Friday, June 12. I had 2 jalapeño cheddar and 2 cheese and onion. I have never bought these before and thought I would try, NEVER AGAIN! They had a horrible smell even after cooking and worst taste!
Always friendly and also the community is so humble. I was short $4.00 and a humbled person purchased gift cards in various amounts to help individuals who are short on funds. Only request was to pay it forward, which I have done. God bless!
I shop here once or twice a week. The pie crusts to their expensive pies are to thick . And their so called buttercream is not very good .im not very impressed with their bake goods. We pay a high price for their stuff it should be good.
This is the only grocery store in a several mile radius so who can complain? It's clean and well staffed and even has a wonderful coupon lady if you catch her on shift. Fresh baked goods and a butcher on site most of the time. Overall
This is my favorite store of all times. Everything is clean and all you need you will find here. The help is amazing. We frequent this store every week. I've been shopping here 19 years and never disappoints. Going again today …
Prices can be a little high, but the convenience of being in and out quick and the amazing staff make it worth it. Not the largest variety but enough that you can find what you need. Plus the floral area and bakery are amazing!
This is such a convenient store to have so close to home. The prices are good, the selection, while not as vast as other stores, has everything you need, the staff is very friendly and helpful and everything is always clean.
I rarely shop here because of how overpriced this place is... When I finally decide to grab something from here, they closed early. It is so unprofessional to close before the hours that are clearly posted on the door.
Every time I go to Sunfresh I say it will be the last time I shop there. The store is close and things that are on sale are a good deal BUT the thing that bothers me the most is that the cashiers never say thank you.
To get something from.the bakery side is a wait. They usually don't offer help until you stood there for a while or you'll actually have to call for help then you'll get help. Otherwise it's a good short stop shop.
Always a nice and clean store. The shelves are always stocked well too. I also appreciate how the checkers are engaging and friendly. We'll always support local establishments, especially the Cosentino's.
I love it they're great people at which door everything's always there and show me some reasonably priced and then we have specials and sales that are good help families around good vegetables always good
Love this friendly neighborhood grocery store. Staff is always friendly and they offer great sale prices. My family has been ordering cakes there for celebrations for years because they are the best!
Prices are a bit higher here than other large chain grocery stores but it's never crowded and checkout is generally very fast. They have a large selection of organic, gluten free and health options.
Smaller than the Price Chopper and HyVee nearby, but the selection didn't seem to suffer. Staff was friendly and efficient, and they had four checkout lanes open so the wait was non-existent.
This grocery store is close to our house so we frequent it often. There is a bank on site, Redbox by the carts, and open until 11 pm. They have a great selection, and often have good deals.
I much prefer HyVee or Sprouts, even Price Chopper. I have not had a bad experience but do not like the layout of Sun Fresh stores. Also do not think they train for great customer service
Have you guys ever heard of the Cart Doctor? Why do you want your customers pushing around embarrassing old beat up carts? Jeez, at least call someone to get the wheels repaired.
My grandpa and I and my mother love this place! The employees are very respectful and calm. The aisles are always clean, they also take PROPER safety precautions! Love it!
My favorite grocery store. Quick in and out. Clean and organized. Staff is friendly. Pharmacy is great and their staff knows us by name. Fastest pharmacy in the northland!
Love the 80's music while doing my grocery shopping and super friendly staff...especially Kaitlyn who is very speedy and always has the most polite and cheerful attitude.
The people there are so nice! I've gone before work and didn't have enough money to pay for my lunch and the cashier paid for my stuff... It's my neighborhood market..
I love coming to this location. Its clean and organized. The people are always so helpful. The prices are great. Its always a pleasant trip when I come grocery shopping.
The store is always clean and have the friendliest employees. The sales they have are awesome and what got me in the door. The staff is what keeps me coming back!
We like this place because it's close to home and clean. The selection is good, our only complaint is that it doesn't share rewards with other Cosentino's stores.
Clean, well stocked store. On my visit I encountered persons who appear to be upper middle income or working persons. I observed no obviously homeless persons.
Friendly staff and management. Not always the lowest prices but responsive to looking into carrying new items and very convenient to neighborhood in the area.
Absolutely loved my shopping experience, but I got lost and had to call for help. But luckily an employee named Parker put me at ease, and I found my way.
It's okay. The deli does not have good food and the food prepared at this store is not great. However, I am grateful for this grocery being so nearby.
The kids working the deli are strangers to customer service. Customer service is #1. You shouldn't whisper about customers around other customers.
Great selection of all kinds of fresh food, cards, and really nice cashiers. I went there on a Sunday and the employee helping me was very nice.
My family has been near this grocery store for years and have never had any bad experience with the store. It is always clean and well stocked.
The people at Constantino's are the best they are friendly helpful been going there a long time I know everybody up there they are all great
Not as cheap as big chains, but very decent selection and some good deals if you don't mind looking. Also, that excellent Hometown service.
Says they cash checks on Google dont bother flase information they lady didn't even wanna stop the conversation she was having to to help
I want to like this location but it is just not the beautiful well-lit store that newer Cosentino's are. Everything seems slower here.
I bought their fresh guacamole for a workplace pot luck. I thought and others agreed that it was the best guacamole they've ever had.
Very convenient. Just a little high priced but after all it's " convenient " Rather pay a little more than go fight the WalMartians
Somewhere i can get some stuff when im staying at my aunts its a littlr higher in rpice than im used to but staff here is friendly
Store is always clean and well kept. Employees are always amazing. Prices seem to have gone up a lot in the last couple months.
It is a grocery store. They sell all of the expected items. I have made purchases here without ever being injured. It's fine.
Very nice neighborhood grocery. Just big enough to have what your looking for, but small enough that you aren't overwhelmed.
Great Store clean and well planned out. Appears the Store is adequately staffed. Lines are almost never more than 3 people.
Great local grocery store. Always clean store and friendly employees. Quick in and out, decent selection and decent prices.
Not the biggest store where you can spend hours lost & also not the smartest store where theirs no selection to choose from
Little higher than Walmart or such, but the meats and produce are better quality so it makes up for the price difference.
Fantastic kid friendly store. Food is always really fresh and their bakery is full service! #letsguidefrshandkidfriendly
The layout is sort of strange and the prices are higher than Price Chopper which is owned by the same organization.
I love Sunfresh. There is always fresh produce and you know all the checkout folks! My hometown grocery store!!!
Like most price chopper / Hy-Vee type stores, good reasonable sales and gouge for normal things you need.
Great donuts, great weekend deals, free apple or banana for the kids and car carts to keep them occupied
Old ass store that sells old ass food. Tv dinners had leaked out and box was frozen stuck in freezer!@
The great place to shop but I noticed that the prices are a little higher then where I usually go.
Great place to buy groceries and there is always someone to help you find something that you need
Nice friendly staff,, willing to help if you can't find what you're looking for. Good selection.
Very good local grocery. The people are friendly, selection is good, and prices are fairly low.
Love the convenience of having a downtown store. However, selection is low and prices are high.
A great store to anything you want plus they have a deli and bakery there and also a pharmacy.
The quality and freshness of meat is terrible and prices are usually higher than other stores.
