Great original inner city style pub with a good vibe. Met up with some of the family that I hadn’t seen for a while. Booked a table out in the beer garden. Glad we did as it got packed later. The food was good and service from staff was great. The beers went down well at the table of knowledge on a great sunny Saturday afternoon. More

Where to start... the location is close to both buses and trains. Staff is young and energetic. Easy way to order, either from the counter or straight from your phone. Food is really good and portions are fair. Happy dogs running around. Outdoor and indoors seatings. Great selection of tap beer.. I'm just describing heaven!!!

A fun, vibey pub. It can get really busy so would recommend making a booking. The staff were really helpful with finding the tables we had booked. The food is ok, my companions said that the chicken parmi and the chicken schnitzel were a bit average. My vegetarian burger was nice and the chips were good.

Good pub food. But queueing at the bar for a very long time just to place the order and get a buzzer. It did not get long for the buzzer to go off and food to be ready. I had to go and pick it up myself. Food was good. No service to speak off, as I did all the waiting and walking. More

Love the courty. In a world of plastic, shiny and soulless venues that Justin Hemmes spews out in his quest for the blandification of Sydney, pubs like the courty act a beacon to small subset of society that wants to have a good time, rather than just portray one on insta. More

Great pub in inner city location at Newtown. Had gf options and we ordered gf pulled pork nachos and a medium rare steak +chips/salad. Loved that it's a dog friendly pub and so we had plenty of "helpers" at nearby tables to finish my generous serving of nachos!!

  • April Farago

Me and the boys went out for a bit a day drinking and decided to pool our breadcrumbs and get the $20 nachos. Seems a bit exxy but let me tell you it was worth it, it absolutely SLAPPED. Best nachos, bloody DESTROYED IT. Anyway, on to the next pub.

Genuinely save your time! Staff are so rude. I went out to have a fun time with my friends and all I got was an attitude from staff, which I personally didn’t expect coming from such such good reviews however I guess they can be deceiving More

Awesome pub tucked away close to Camperdown Park. We came across it after wandering the back streets of Newtown. Didn’t try the food but came back 3 times over a long weekend for beers .Great sunny arvo spot and dog friendly. Friendly staff

Older type suburban pub. Great atmosphere with friendly staff, and amazing cross section of the local people. There's a good variety of food available at reasonable prices. Indoor dining available and there's an outdoor covered dining area

A Newtown institution, the Courthouse courtyard is a great spot to sit on a sunny day or warm evening, and the older interior pub is small but charming if you can ignore the pokies at the entrance. This place is often very busy, being well

Great pub with friendly staff. Also the best place in Sydney to watch not just Sydney Swans, but ALL other AFL and AFLW games with the sound up on their TV’s. I LOVE how they got an artist to recreate the old Scanlen’s VFL footy cards from

Terrible ! Appalling food- don’t order the nachos unless you want to dig through a pile of stodge. Very slow at the bar only to find that they had NO white wine at all! And this is a pub!! And then you have to get back into the bar queues

  • Anne

Staff are rude, the food sucks. Do not come to this venue. I am actually shocked at how appalling the customer service is at this venue. The staff are rude and do not understand hospitality or customer service. Do not come here. After

Great vibe! A really feel good place to hang out with some friends! We had their famous nachos - and would recommend it! The only thing I would have changed was having music outside, and they could do with more toilets More

Great steaks, cooked to perfection. The pinball machines are a lot of fun, took a little while to get in sync with the games (but eventually had some 15+ minute games on there). Will definitely be back! More

Perfect pet friendly pub. Great trivia and weekly activities, amazing for a weeknight or weekend drink. Out of this world glass stacking. Come for the people, stay for the cheap beer of the month.

  • Deaunte Avalios

Terrible food! Slop on a plate. Rude staff especially that arrogant lady think her name is Seline? Never met such a nasty woman, if you don't like customer service find another job! More

This is an awesome bar. Apart from being the home of AFL in Sydney, it's a great hang out at all times. Today it's The Ashes and cold beers. The tap selection is amazing

Best nachos in Sydney, great outdoor area to enjoy the sun, super friendly bartender who even offered to try some of the beer and cider before making our choice.

  • Jack Tea

A wonderful somewhat hidden pub with a large outdoors seating area!! Great vibes and even has a little arcade! They've got some yummy food selections as well!

  • Amanda West

Great beer garden and nice staff. The art on the toilet walls is always fun to read. I like when places leave it there to make your sit more enjoyable!

  • Jennifer Joveski

Awesome pub in Newtown, a tad smaller but very homely. The outdoor garden is an awesome place to be. Super dog friendly, treats even on the menu!

  • Joshua Whiley

My absolute favourite Sydney pub. Great ambience. Gets very busy so good to book ahead. Food is not life changing but pretty good for a pub. More

  • Sisi

Really cute place. Away from the main road and traffic. There is a wall full of dogs Polaroids. Great for chilling out in sunny afternoon. More
