CUBBON PARK, the lung of Bengaluru located in the heart of the city. Ditching usual cafes and restaurants we decided to meet in this serene calm and iconic place of bengaluru. The park was so peaceful, looking at the rolling lawns, sun kissing us inbetween the trees, huge trees and walkers. Bengaluru is indeed the garden City of India. Its a perfect place to gulp some fresh air in the mornings and evening. -------------------------- The park was dated back in 1864 by St. mark Cubbon and is still named after him. The park is about 250 acre. A number of Neo classical buildings are situated around the park, vidhana soudha is one of them. The park also has a state library, a high court, museum within the park. The park is a storehouse of a variety of species of plants and trees that contains many inherent species of plants. Spread over an area of 300 acres, Cubbon Park in the city of Bangalore is a major sightseeing attraction rich in green foliage. It is a green belt region of the city and is an ideal place for nature lovers and those seeking a calm atmosphere. Having been laid down by Lord Cubbon, the park is named so in his honour. In addition to being a natural sightseeing destination, some of the major structures of the city such as the Attara Kacheri, Cubbon Park Museum and Sheshadri Iyer Memorial Park are also situated here. Another famous attraction in the Cubbon Park is The Bangalore Aquarium, which is the second largest aquarium in India.
This stop is at a short distance from the previous one and to facilitate visitors to the famed Cubbon Park after which it is named. It has three different exits one leading to the KSCA Cricket Stadium, another to the IT offices and the last one to the HAL square. This station is full of art. When I went in Dec 2019 an art installation was in progress - with walls being prepared with clay art and about water in the city of Bangalore. Further ahead there was an exhibition on Indian soldiers in one of the world wars. This is one of the best stations on the Purple line allowing access to Cubbon Park and having very interesting art inside.
It’s a nice park inside the bangalore city, it is so much of green inside the city. The park is wide enough to enjoy for a day outing. The park will be open around 10 in the morning. People used to come with their food and have inside the park. Juices and small snackings are available inside the park. No restaurants inside. Loved the place, it’s good for kids to play with the nature, one big aquarium is situated inside the park.kids park is also arranged. Cubbon park metro station is near to the station. So travel to the park is so easy.
Neat and clean place , well maintained at all times ease of access and friendly staff who are ready to help , there should be an added wifi facility too . Apart from this I would suggest more ques to be put up so at peak times it wont get crowded as it does usually moreover you can better promote the use of metro card and make it hassle free for everyone. Better campaigns should be launched to make it a success and highlight the benefits . The no of boogies should be increased as no of passengers are increasing on a continuous basis .
One won't expect such a lush green park inside such a big city .The park was named after Mr Cubbon who was Commissioner of Mysore for a long time but name is now officially Chamarajendra Park. The park is full of big trees with lots of birds and squirrels everywhere. There's an octagonal bandstand in the middle of a lawn. The building of High court can be seen from the lawn. People can be seen strolling leisurely along the pavements or sitting and talking in groups. It is indeed a relaxing and joyful experience to visit the park !!
Very nice and calm place, always take me to a different world whenever I reach there. Government is maintaining it nicely. Recently they have fitted rows of fountains for watering purpose. Many parks are inside full of greenery. One dog park is also there which gets busy during Sunday morning. In front of government library one lotus Park is also there. There is a way to go to Vidhan Soudha, Vishveshwariah museum. I feel it is better maintained than Lalbagh botanical Garden and there is no entry fee.
It's an awesome place. You have a very good park. Parking also there. It has Children's park separately. There's a good auditorium. Children's Train is there. It's in working conditions. Even elders also sit along with children, you have to take a ticket.. There's a very beautiful Central Library.. There's a Rose Garden.. Morning many people jog in the morning... Overall beautiful place..
A nice calm place with lush greenery at the heart of the city. Well maintained. Open to all. Clean air and calmness can clearly be felt even in the rush hours. Good place to exercise or hangout. Has roads inbetween that are not very populated. separated to zones and each has a different fauna. Historic zone. Has a lot of architectural items too. Also has a few monuments inside such as the british band stand.
Cubbon Park is one of the busiest metro stations in Bengaluru. Especially, during the IPL matches. Nearest localities - Chinnaswamy Stadium, Shivaji Nagar, Indian Express office, Cubbon Park (main attraction) The area outside the metro is too pleasant and calm. Metro station during Non-IPL days and weekdays, looks more silent. Ticket counters are not that much crowded and restroom is maintained properly.
Very large, beautiful, serene and green park located in the centre of Bangalore. It is just next to MG Road and easily accessible by road/ metro. The park also houses a aquarium. The place is very good for all age groups. Picnics, get together, parties, etc can be planned here. The Viswesvariah Science Museum is also located nearby and within walking distance. There is a toy train also inside the park

Good place and one of the oldest park. Well maintained. Foods available near are quite expensive hen compared to others. It has mini train and a boat ride. Park canteen is not worth the money. It will be a great time for kids. You can avail membership for your kids and can perform their respective skills, talents on Children's day. Even central library is also very near from it
Place to visit for everyone looking for some walk and take a breath. A place for some photography experience as well. The place is quite well maintained though on sundays it can be very crowded. The place has a metro right next to it, which is a good thing. The place has a park, a toy train and a aquarium as well. Its a fantastic place for taking your kids as well.
Cleaning staff Sudha was very nice. I had forgotten my bag in the security and had already purchased a ticket and entered the platform. I would have to go exit the platform and buy another ticket if I went to collect my bag from the security check. She went for me and retrieved the bag. It was a really kind gesture and I hope she gets appreciation she deserves.
One of the most creative and well designed Metro stations of Namma Metro. The wall paintings and art effects make the station itself so special alongside the location where it is situated. This metro station connects High court,Cubbon park,HAL and Chinnaswamy Stadium. The station is beautiful, well maintained and the staff is polite!!
Great place to be all day. Pleasant and cool garden. I guess there should be minimum 5000 giant-like trees. A small forest of bamboos, Eye filling abinayas of trees. Ideal location for someone who loves to get lost. I saw few dogs. They are own this place more than human. As a bookish guy I will keep on visiting this place.
This was the first metro station I went to, in my life. I never knew about the fact that we would have to take tokens (not tickets) which have to be shown while entering the platform and exiting too. It's a cheaper and faster way to travel long distances because Metro isn't affected by the traffic jams of Bangalore.
Green cubbonpark, lovely, fresh air, cool environment, gorgeous landscape, city centre, I a joining point for almost all direction of the city. Family places, lovers heaven, pet friendly, yoga classes, joggers paradise, aerobics, zumba and much more to learn here, club, n fountains, baal bhavan for kids. Much more.
Beautiful place completely covered by trees. Best place to hangout in the weekends and for group activities. Park will be much crowded during the weekends. It is located near High Court and clearly visible from moving traffic. One can also see Vidhana Soudha from Cubbon Park. Metro transportation is available.
Cubbon Park metro station is an underground metro station on the East-West corridor of the Purple Line of Namma Metro, Bengaluru. It has easy access to Cubbon Park, Chinnaswami Stadium and many other adjoining places. Metro feeder buses are available from Exit A of this metro station.
1. Cubbon is biggest beautiful park in bengaluru. 2. No entry fees. 3. It's near to cubbon Park metro. 4. You can spend 3-4 hrs here. 5. People generally go in the group and play games there such as outdoor badminton, cricket, etc. 6. Go in the morning time. The vibe is really great.
It's one of the loveliest spots in Bangalore - its green, its clean and it's free.. In every way.. You want to spend a day under the trees ... napping in the grass... Go here... Date? Go here with a picnic basket... Family get together? Go here with a car full of food and games...
Here we are talking about the metro station, not the park. Located at 3 way crossing. Neat and clean, very helpful for those who want to reach, Cubbon park, GPO, Shadashivnagar area. The fighter plane display (possibly some retired plane) added another attaction to this place.
Good for early morning walk and jogging. You can spot beautiful birds too. Vehicle entry is completely blocked on Sundays. You'll have free space on Sundays to have fun with family and friends. If you are coming by metro you can get down at cubbon park station.
The predominantly green area of the park has many motorable roads, and the well-laid-out walking paths running through the park are frequented by early morning walkers and the naturalists who study plants in the tranquil natural environment.. superb park..
A very peaceful space in Bangalore. Good to group hangout and family picnic. Live performances also here. Next to park beautiful premise of Karnataka high court and vidhan sauda present. Fresh air and some beautiful piece of decorate inside the park.
One of the vary famous parks in banglore. Near vidhnasoudha. People come here for morning walks, photo shoots. There will be one or the other programs held for children. There are no entrance fees. You can go and sit in park whenever you want.
The flower shows here are truly beautiful and breathtaking,However i am afraid Cubbon Park does not exact;y comply with swatch Bharat as people blatantly violate the rules litter around. I think the authorities need to take this into account.
The place offers good deal of tranquility, opportunity for photographers, cosy corners for love birds and wonderful view of the sun's rays making its way through the dense greenery of the trees. I personally liked the area which I think is …
This is a huge park, a historical site that's seen Bangalore decay from it's glorious days to what it is today, yet providing the comfort and serenity of the old bangalore. Great for picnics, must try 5/5. We need more parks in Bangalore
I am writing about the metro station specifically. It's a great place for art lovers. The walls are all adorned with contemporary art. The stairs tell a story, every step. It's beautiful. I just didn't want to leave the station!
Ticket counter staffs are very rude and they have no knowledge about the stations ! Worst customer service in cubbon park metro station. Staffs who sit in customer service should have some basic knowledge to guide the tourist!
What a woooow place I can say it’s best place you can ever be if you are at Bangalore I would say that it’s an oxygen factory where lungs would be dancing from within just do some walk jog and you feel fresh Must visit place
Best metro station in banglore. The drawings on the walls inside the metro station makes it unique. Other thing is same as in other stations. There are small plants inside the metro station which is very great thing.
Best place to walk your dogs. You should come here every Sunday before 7:30am to the dog park area. You can bring your dogs and leave them loose. They play with other dogs. Make sure your dogs are not aggressive.
Train will be on an expected time.... But as the preceding station will be mg road... The crowd will be hectic with stampedes and crushy feeling.... But overall the station is pleasent with a good environment
Area for very good time pass. Many things for children . Parking available. Wheel chair accessible. I visited Cubbon park more than 40 times. Taking my friends and relatives coming to visit Bangalore.
Nice place for morning walk or jogging. Clean and neat park to spend time with family and kids. Need to carry all your food and play items. You won't get any restaurants near by in walkable distance
For time being can't right much at its get closed after 6.30 PM and I went after that. If you are planning to visit in evening try to reach little early. Nearest metro station is Cubbon Park.
Not too crowded in the evening, a quiet place with those birds sound through the speakers- soothing to ear Can go to shivajinagar and Indian Express from this metro station by walk …
Well maintained park and lot of greenery. The bamboo forest is awesome!! Should work in to provide a proper navigation to the parking area, we had to circle the park twice to locate it.
It is a park located in the middle of the city. Many old and huge trees can be found here. It is a nice place to spend time away from the rush of the Bangalore city.

You'll hear birds chirping all over the metro station. (played in speakers, but still realistic and soothing)
