I was at the pub on Canada Day for the karaoke night. I went in by myself to get a table first because friends were not there yet. I waited outside for a bit and no one helped me so I decided to walk into the establishment. A guy who appears to work there tapped my on my shoulder and said in the exact words “hey you can’t come in here”. I was extremely shocked and asked why. He said “you’re not 19 and it’s 19+ tonight”. I was extremely angry at that point as I am way over the age of 19! He could’ve just asked for a piece of ID rather than flat out denying me of entry! I told him I am in my 30s! He proceeded to say “oh you can go in” and tried to shake my hand to make peace with the situation and I felt extremely uncomfortable because I felt so insulted by what he had said to me. Not only that he added on to congratulate me on my appearance which was just full on creepy and gross. If it wasn’t for my friends wanting to be there for karaoke, I would’ve immediately left the establishment and would never come back. We come here quite often for the karaoke Saturdays. I went in and sat down, a server came to me with menus so I asked whether the guy stationed outside was a host or another server. It turns out this guy standing outside “greeting” people is the owner of the establishment! I absolutely can’t believe the owner will flat out refuse entry to customers just because of the way someone looks! Beware if you appear to look much younger than your age, you will be refused entry, period. All of this could’ve been avoided had the owner just politely asked to see my ID! As a 30+ year old woman, I would be more than delighted to show you a piece of ID to proof my age. If I can give this establishment a 0 star, I would absolutely do that based on just the way I was treated. The food here is very mediocre and nothing special at all. The only thing that I thought tasted decent is the Irish chips which they ran out of on Canada day.

As recommended by our server, we ordered the chicken and stuffing wrap. It was a huge disappointment, in that the stuffing was merely dry seasoned croutons. The sandwich lacked moisture and I needed to take a bite of my Cesar salad or water to just get it down. No tomatoes or other ingredients in sandwich to make it palatable. We usually never complain but when the server asked we couldn't resist politely telling her how disappointed we were. She brought over gravy but ignored my suggestion of mayonnaise. My friend ate her other half as she was starving. But I left mine. No discount or even an offer of something else to make up for the sandwich which as it turns out, has nothing to do with stuffing! I have had a few bad experiences there now, except I admit, for their tasty fish and chips. The kitchen really needs to step it up, or maybe it was the Sunday kitchen lunch crew? My boyfriend's lamb burger also dry, AND cold? UPDATE on this Review; The owners responded to this review and admitted their new cook made a mistake with the croutons. I'm still out a bit a change (paid for something I didn't get) and as I said, my boyfriend's burger was cold, and no offer from the owner to at least make up for THEIR mistake, and offer a complimentary entre or something. We all work hard for our money, especially in this crazy economy, and any restaurant I have been to where the food is subpar they don't hesitate to make up for it. That is good customer service.

A real Gem that I feel so lucky to have been introduced to. Cuchulainn's is its own one-of-a-kind, fun little spot nestled in a neighbourhood I might have skipped right over had it not been for my friends (locals) having brought me there. The owner is a true Boss - a top-quality type of man that cares about the quality time his customers experience, and it shows. His staff are lovely, and it says a lot when asked how long they have worked there and so many of them have several years+ to boast of. I would feel 100% safe here if I were to visit on my own, but why be selfish, the joy I felt here is made to be shared - and for anyone wondering, the atmosphere is very family-friendly (of course, be kind and considerate; let your children be children but this is also a restaurant; behave accordingly). Its night life brings great live entertainment (supporting local talent!) amazing company, a tonne of fun and no room for nonsense - my kind of place! Thank you All so much for an amazing night out. I will be returning again very soon.

My husband and I have been visiting Cuchulainn's Pub for over 20 years now (even before it was Cuchulainn's). The food is fantastic (from healthy to indulgent) and the environment is warm, friendly and welcoming. We are super loyal, visiting for lunches/dinners 2 times per week on average. The best thing about Cuchulainn's is the service. It's why we keep coming back. #1 favourite server is Claire. We have known her for as long as we have been coming to the pub. Claire is friendly and efficient - like a lot of the amazing people at the pub. But Claire also goes above and beyond. She has made me personally feel welcome and special at Cuchulainn's, even if I come in for lunch alone. She has come to know me and my family and each time we see her we feel like "royalty". We definitely notice her absence when she is not around. Kudos to Adriana and Julie as well (I hope I got the names right). Both lovely people and a part of the joy of the experience. Thank you to Claire and the rest of the team at Cuchulainn's. You guys rock and are 100% why we come in again, and again and again.

I treated my friend to lunch today for his 82nd birthday. I ordered a lamb burger and side salad with blue cheese dressing and my friend ordered the beef burger with fries requesting relish and mayo as toppings. He was told that relish was not available but that mayo was. When our orders arrived my lamb burger was accompanied by soup not a salad and my friend's burger arrived without mayo. His beef patties were overcooked to the point of being hard and dry. My soup was removed and a salad soon followed. My friend's mayo arrived shortly after. My friend attempted to cut his beef patties into smaller pieces but soon gave up and only consumed about 1/2 of one of the two patties. Our server did apologize for his meal and took a small percentage off the bill which still came to over $42 before tip (I had an ice tea and my friend had a Coors Light beer). I came away very disappointed at this experience and surprised at the careless food preparation and inaccuracy in delivering the meals as ordered in the first attempt.
An always EXCELLENT experience. The food and service, are unsurpassed. The front patio is a great plave to have a drink, a pleasant and relaxed meal and just people watch in warm weather. Claire (Clare?) is a very efficient and friendly server!! Also, try the lamburger- it's an AMAZING meal!

There are several free parking spots along the side and directly behind the pub. Depending on the 5ime of day, these are usually occupied, but 5here is PLENTY of free parking for the strip mall behind the pub. If you want to park closer, there is street parking in front and across the street, but it costs, although it is reasonable.
Disclaimer: This is a drinks review only, and won't cover food until otherwise updated. Located in the heart of The Village in the City, this Irish pub is a special gem in the community, offering pub food and hearty bevvies that fit to adapt to each season. The drinks were well poured and averagely priced, with no frills. And I think "no frills" is the theme for Cuchulainn's. The service left much to be desired -- it was not warm or welcoming, but they were pretty quick and fairly attentive. The decor was no frills either, but pretty historic and "cozy". No coasters for the drinks, or table favors but it's a good place to chat or bring someone out for drinks with minimal distractions. The music was a low hum, the lighting was soft with candlelit accents, and there were barely any televisions in sight. Great for being in the moment. I would recommend checking out this spot any time of the week -- even a Friday night was pretty empty.
Our experience was certifiably terrible. Our server seemed like it was her first day, she didn’t know much of anything. The wings and Brie tasted good. But my lamb burger was absolutely charred and the server never came back to ask how everything was. Apps and main came at the same time (I guess I should’ve specified??). We had to ask for our server to be sent over and she said the burger would be remade. We waited for over half hour and then asked for the bill. Still waiting on the burger as I write this review. They also have Prosecco on the menu but served Pelee Island sparkling wine lol. Also every server says “it’s so busy” as if that’s an excuse for the poor service. It’s Saturday night, I would hope a restaurant would be busy Not sure what’s going on here but definitely do not recommend.

Ordered takeout after craving some pub food tonight. Got the Shepherd's Pie, and Guiness Stew. Food was ok, pie was pretty tasty and well made but the stew was a bit lacking. Moreover, I was a bit taken aback after seeing the stew was packed in a paper takeout container. This is some heavy matter and having two such boxes stacked on top of each other is a bad move because when I got home and opened the bag, the middle box was depressed and stew gravy was oozing out. The pie box was also a a bit damaged due to the weight of the other two boxes. Highly insist you consider stronger takeout containers, bamboo boxes or such since plastic is being phased out. I don't think takeout customers deserve having their food leak all over the place.

Amazing service, good food, great patio starting at $20 for a burger and beer. True Russians eat the Irish Chips. Entering the side entrance I found the decor to be a mix of functional and rustic. Our server Claire was a long time employee of the establishment and made our whole experience shine from recommending food and drinks to explaining what was made in house. This lead me to discover a very pleasing Murphy's stout as an alternative to guinness on those hot days. The food was good but not great with their in house burger, salmon and Irish chips all satisfying but not wowing. I found the Irish chips to be the best easily clearing the plate. The patio is by far the nicest part of this pub and anytime you are around I strongly recommend you grab a pint and enjoy!
this space is my heart and home. a world with endless glow. burning bright in the daylight, guiding souls to the patio, with a calming warmth under moonlight, where lives rejoice, align and grow. ~*~ I came here shortly after getting a tattoo at Skintricate, knowing that destiny called me here. Claire was working and I've known her for years, a bond forged through the magic of Matt Zaddy's Tuesday open mics. This time I went alone. The fish and chips were divine. The house pilsner paired beautifully. The new employees were kind and great to speak to. And it was... quite magical getting to listen to teachers celebrate and gather, at the end of their year, while I enjoyed my meal on my own. But was I really ever alone? ... Clearly not. Love you LOTS.
We love coming here. Good selection of beer and the menu while not overly big is good. The food is always done very well. It's a nice place to come and get a "home-cooked" meal and a drink. The staff are also awesome and everyone there is super friendly.

I was there for lunch on a Saturday. We waited over 2 hours for food. The wait stadd said it would be a little slower, because of a big group that came in before us. But rather than being good hosts and giving updates, the wait staff were frustrated, forgot drinks, and made mistakes on orders. When the food finally arrived, it was fine, but serious appetite made us all eat it pretty quickly. It may be a great pub, and service may be good at other times, but we had a bad experience. The Veggie burger was fine.

Horrible food. We had ordered a buger and there was a hair in the burger , the server demanded that we should show the spit out food so that they can check the hair and she said it's the manager who is asking. We had the spit food in the tissue which we handed over to them . Couldn't believe the server asked for it . It's an old Pub and I guess lot of people had been going there for along time , for newbies, I would never recommend this place . The atmosphere is almost dead . Will never go back ever again .

We’ve become regulars at the pub. Our daughter has a love for all things Irish ☘️ so it’s a requested place often! Kids love the sausage rolls (minus the sauce) and they’re always hot, fresh and delicious! Mom and dad always grab a pint and the Cuchullains crisps. If you haven’t tried them yet…. That jalapeño dust is AMAZING! Never a bad experience. Our fave sever is Claire! Management is always lovely and welcoming! Thank you for being such a welcoming place for families!

Been here a dozen times in the last few weeks. It is SO difficult to leave once I get here A little surprised and disappointed, no dogs on the patio on such a gorgeous day 23/08/ 04 has it changed? Nope, still a great place. Found myself in the neighborhood and stopped for lunch. They remembered me

I’ve always had a great experience here! However, the last time I visited was an exceptional experience. Yvonne (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly) was amazing. She knew the menu & drinks so well. She was pleasant and kept us informed about our food and drinks. Due to the heat, I was a bit dizzy & felt unwell towards the end of our meal.. Yvonne was quick to respond and brought me some ice to place at the nape of my neck. She kept checking on me to see how I was feeling & was just amazing all throughout ! I totally recommend Cuchulainn’s !
Nice relaxed BAR atmosphere. I like the Victorian house feel to it as well. We had friendly timely service by the bartender with a good selection of beer. Had a pint of the hops & bolts - I recommend it to anyone who likes a good strong IPA. The only reason why this isn't a 5 star rating is because we ordered just 1 plate of the chicken strips and not only was it bland and not worth my money, but it took almost a whole hour for it to come to the table. The bartender gave us 25% off to compensate... thanks! That's good customer service.
Very well decorated, bathrooms around down the stairs and a little obscure. But clean and on theme. Service was a bit slow, looked like a big party was there taking over the staff. Hard to flag down anyone for help/ordering. Fries were decent and not too oily or overcooked. Would definitely give this place a 2nd try.

This is my regular pub. The food and beverage menus are extensive, but not overwhelming. The food is reasonably priced, and the beers are at market value. The service is friendly and efficient and the servers actually KNOW what they are serving- what a concept! I must say that I have only had two bad meals here, in the five years I been frequenting it- but the meals were exchanged with grace and understanding! I LOVE this spot and I often take friends and family there to dine with me.
Well let me start by saying that walking into the place and seeing the 5 people milling around the bar and no one else in sight should have been the sign. Garlic bread with cheese was good but how can you really mess that up...Wings were smaller than small and cooked to a point that i could have broke a window with. Service was Blah....but yet the carpet was very nice going down to the washrooms. NEVER AGAIN

Today was the first time I've been to Cuchulainn's since the pandemic started, and I was met with Julia R. Who was probably the best waitress I've ever had. We had a dark corner table and she took a solid 20 minutes to look for a candle for my table. As well as being an incredibly funny and down to earth person. If you get Julia R. As your server, you better tip her good! Thanks for a great night Julia, you made my first trip back to my favourite pub the best experience I've had here!
This is a lovely pub in Streetsville! The Bangers and Mash were delicious! (spuds were described as "Champ" on the menu, but lacked the green/spring onion, so they were mashed potatoes, not Champ). Our waitress was absolutely lovely and the service was great! Overall, a great pub and I would recommend it

We had a family reunion today at the pub and the service from Abigail was great! However, we were all very disappointed in the amount of Irish chips that were on the plate. I dropped in to one of my favourite local places today. Not only was my pint perfect, as usual, but the food remains a solid reason I return. The lamb burger in particular is not to be missed! I’ve had it several times, and each time it’s been a real treat. The lamb is complimented wonderfully by a cloak of yummy feta, and sautéed onions and mushrooms. This comfort food is matched with a warm and welcoming feeling each time. A must visit when in Streetsville.
Went for lamb burger. Didn't taste good, bun looked like it was purchased at grocery store (small like the wonder bun) Do not recommend. Rip off for what u get. Service was good , bangers and mash decent. In response to owner, I had lamb burger here before when it was actually good. The patty was small this time and didn't meet expectations. Very few restaurants serve a lamb burger and that too a good one so it's quite disappointing when it's not consistent.
Our son & company gave us a gift card as a Xmas gift. What a great idea as they have great food. I just picked up some of their Champ & sausages and it was beyond delicious. When I placed the order, Todd answered quickly and was very friendly. The food was ready when he at the time that he told me. It was still hot when I got home. They are definitely on their way to becoming my favorite restaurant in Streetsville (Mississauga). Keep up the good work guys.
Nice hangout place. Not too many food options but decent enough. Pricing is ok. Service is very good. Raisin was taking care of us and she is excellent. She regularly checked with us if we needed anything. We had ordered Cuchulainns Nachos which are similar to Mexican but made with potatoes. They tasted very good. Overall a very good place and definitely recommend.

Although the pub and the atmosphere was nice, the food is overpriced for the quality. In my day you had to earn your tip, It wasn't automatically tacked on because there was a big group in the room. Haven't been in a while but this was by far my favorite bar in Streetsville. There was a time this place was my go-to weekend spot. Fun crowd and a great staff. Although I doubt there's anyone I know still working there. Food is pretty good too, I miss those Irish crisps. The owner Tom was always happily mingling with the bargoers. Frequently hosted the local musicians for performances. This place is truly a staple of Streetsville.
We went to try out the Guinness on tap. The Guinness was good but not the best I've had. Service was great and the food and portion sizes were great. We had fish and chips. Bathrooms were clean. I would recommend this place to anyone. There was a large Birthday Party that started while we were there and everyone was having a great time. Try it, I'm sure you'd like it too. We would definitely go back.
Cuchulainn’s ended up being a last minute decision my family & I chose to go to tonight after our initial reservations at another restaurant did not work out. However, we were so happy that it turned out this way! We had awesome service provided by the kind staff, and our food tasted awesome. Definitely keep an eye out for the Guinness pulled beef sandwich! Thank you for a great night Cuchulainn’s :) we will be back!
Food was decent, I got the fish and chips and they were good but nothing special (big serving sizes though). The service ok but our server was not overly friendly and never checked in on us once we got our food. The one standout feature of this place is the location right in Streetsville. Beautiful especially in the evening.

This place is a hole in the wall. Karen (probably why shes named karen) came over to say her fake “hi” to my table and fully ignored the black person at the table. Shes ungrateful for the customers that come in. Anyways, id stay away from this money hungry hole in the wall. reply - you have been reviewed truthfully. you should think about your ironic actions.
Awesome spot in Streetsville! They've got live music Fridays and Saturdays, which is what drew me in. They're a great atmosphere with good indoor and patio seating, tasty eats and great cocktails too (and good Irish beers, of course). Would definitely recommend, especially for one of the live music nights.

I visited during holidays.. it was very cutely decorated and the entire pub gave a very good holiday vibe. Food was good (not great) with limited choices, but the pub has a really good vibe. I definitely had a good time there. I tried their garlic bread and chicken wings.. garlic bread was good, chicken sauce was good, meat was luscious but lacked flavour.
Recently had my retirement event at this local pub. I want to send a thanks to Karen and the team, great service as always, and the food and atmosphere good as always. A real nice local pub where we have taken our kids and friends over the years. I recommend the fish and chips or sheppards pie.

I came to your restaurant today wanting to try your place and since I’m a senior, I read that I got 20% off. I ordered the lamb burger and it didn’t smell good. I told my server at the end and he didn’t say much. When the bill came, I only got 20% off the smallest item on my bill. You have mislead us with your 20% off propaganda. Will not return!

Starting to be our go to after work because of the delicious food, great music & good atmosphere :) service on the patio is always awesome. Emma our usual server is super friendly and quick. Also the blonde guy with long hair is also awesome. We always enjoy a night out at Cuchulainn's
We have eaten at this restaurant quite a few times and I must say that yesterday I was disappointed with the size of the wrap that I ordered. Previously I have ordered the same wrap and it was much larger. Having said that the taste of the food was great and the service was also great!
Good pub food, really good patio and the staff are pretty awesome. It's not as busy as you'd think lately ... so you can get a seat a lot easier. Bad for them (covid) but good for us (patrons!). When the time comes and the patio is closed, the inside is just as good, very 'pubby' ...
Don't book a group!! If you can't handle a large group, don't lie and say that you can. It just makes matters worse when you prioritize all other tables over the group. Final food arrived 2 hours, 25 minutes after group was seated.

I was there in mid-afternoon on a weekday, so it was really quiet, just the way i like it. Beer choices were solid and service was attentive. Ordered fully loaded garlic bread and the chili. Both excellent. Two beers, an appetizer and an entree for under $50. Can't beat it.

This place used to have 5 Stars. Great servers and a great spot. Yesterday I spent $24 on a burger and fries. They have less than average food for premium prices. With Door 55 down the road and more competition coming in, I won't be aback anytime soon.
Food is great. The waiter was slow at bringing food and drinks. It always ended up being another waiter doing his job. I've been there a few times and in most cases I had a good experience and food was well priced for the quality and quantity.
Definitely one of the best pubs in Mississauga if you're looking for a good pint and atmosphere. They have a good selection of beer too, mainstream and non. The place is equally good in the summer as it is in the winter. Highly recommended!
Good location, parking and accessibility. Haggis is only on the 25th of January. Guinness was cold, the lamb burger is great. Needs more waitresses, service was courteous. Prices were good. Family atmosphere and the patrons known each other.
The server was very nice, he checked on us frequently. Food was fine, nothing crazy. Cocktails were great. Basement smells like someone left wet towels in washing machine for too long.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon and sat on the patio. Service was perfect and food was amazing. We enjoyed the fish & chips, a vodka penne, beef dip sandwich chicken wings. Could not have asked for better. Thankyou
Great food having just moved to Canada from Ireland I was delighted to see they had cans of magners cider and the wife loved the Guinness staff very friendly definitely will be back

Drunken Pasta
Great atmosphere, very relaxed and a comfortable patio. Clare is fabulous at making connections with dinners and very friendly. Overall a great place to have a drink and delicious fish and chips!
Chris Partland of Partland Brothers fame plays on the patio from 2 to 5 every Sunday. He is so talented! Often other great local musicians jam with him. Streetsville's best kept secret.
Excellent patio + food. Champ + sausage was so good. Seems to be a local family business. Good beer. Nice staff. Perhaps some meat pies or stuffed yorkies could complement the menu.
I had the Penn pasta was dry but the pub did offer to get me anything else on the menu which I thought was a great jester!

After funeral stop. Nice pub ! Great staff! Cheerful with a smile! The Guinness was a must have! Just had fries and a drink. I would definitely recommend this pub !
Atmosphere was great. The 2 female bartenders were very friendly and on top of customer service. They also gave great recommendations for food and drinks.
Beautiful ambience and good service. I tried Irish chips for the first time and it was very good in taste.

This is an excellent Irish pub. Everything is good here: the drink selection, the food, the service and the atmosphere. And this is every time I'm here.
I wish the wings were bigger but they were still good. If you come ask for Abigail she was super.

Kitchen closes at 10pm but young gentleman refused to take food order at 9:40 PM. Management should know about the opportunity cost.

Enjoyed the night out with friends from high school. Didn’t know they had karaoke on Saturdays. The wings and other munchies were delicious!

Nice pub with awesome view of Streetsville downtown. The location where this pub is very beautiful. #ParksExplorer
A regular Irish pub in a great location. Nice patio to hang out on a warm summer day and in a nice location.
Food was average pub fare. Nothing exquisite. Wine was good. Patio was awesome. We enjoyed the experience.
