The park itself is great but there's a huge problem with the homeless camp, the quality has declined over time, vandalism and I don't even need to say what I've been finding on the ground. Another problem is the dog park, people aren't picking up after their dogs, this is spreading disease and parasites between dogs, not to mention dogs and people end up stepping in it, and the homeless keep stealing our water dish for the dog and washing their dishes in the dog park. It's a shame to see people ruining such a wonderful park for the local residents, it was one of the better things to happen for the trailer courts nearby, but ever since the problematic people came along, it's gone downhill very quickly.
Playground
Don't ever leave your kids unattended and don't let them go here by themselves
Dog-friendliness
Dog friendly but inspect strange toys for sharps, bring your own water dish because it's stolen most the time, watch your step because people refuse to take responsibility for their dogs.
Picnic area
It's alright, sometimes crowded.
For a park that just opened in 2018, holy wow it looks rough. I was very disappointed in the playground. Really great concept but most of the areas are vandalized, torn up, or fenced off. There are bathrooms and bubblers, but yeah... no thanks. The landscaping is nice - big open fields for sports - big walking trail around the park - large shaded areas with tables/benches/chairs. There was a noticeable amount of trash in the sitting area. What turned me off the most was the couple sitting on the overlook bridge blowing their noses on the ground, hacking up a lung, and actively smoking something from a glass pipe. What did I expect when I had to drive THROUGH A TRAILER PARK to get to it. Definitely not a place I'll be returning to. If you're there for the dog park and the large walking trail, then you'll be satisfied. But honestly, what a waste of $12 million dollars. I wonder who vandalized everything - the teenagers or the tweakers?
This park has it all. A genius idea that I'm continually impressed and amazed to see manifested. Built on a landfill, It's now a park, playground, a dog park, community garden, a soccer field, track, meditational path with 2 native designed gathering spots. Located at the end of a residential street (so far it's the only access I know of). My dog and I discover it on opening day. This neighborhood would be sad without it. The community garden looks amazing. I see people working out, dogs running, children laughing and running. People learning along the trails. They have bathrooms! The new modern kind. I've seen activities and play of all sorts. The good people at PP&R have been making regular improvements since it opened. Truly a gem. I'll snap some more pictures to give a round idea of the whole park. In the meantime get over there and enjoy it for yourself if you like parks, places to take dogs, and green spaces to get away.
This park is awesome! We had a wait after arriving at the airport (PDX) and grabbed lunch at a nearby lakeside restaurant. After eating we decided to walk to the park since it was only a mile. I don’t recommend walking with luggage; there weren’t sidewalks on one of the streets and we passed some dingy areas. We met a local dad there, there were kids playing and having fun, and the equipment was awesome! My wife and I played on some of it (see the videos!), and I took a nap on a bench. Highly recommend!
Playground
The playground is awesome! We played on it as adults but saw a ton of kids having fun too!
Restrooms
At least two nice open air restrooms by the entrance. No sinks but have a hand sanitizer dispenser
Dog-friendliness
Met a cute doggo here!
Picnic area
Tables and chairs or benches to eat at and plenty of grassy spots for picnics
Great new park as of June 2018. The modern design takes into account the needs of a wide variety of community members. There's a larger, fenced dog park, a wide, flat grassy area for games, and an excellent playground that will speak to kids of a variety of ages. There is tons of climbing opportunity, a sand pit with water, and ADA-accessible swings, plus the typical variety of swings you'd see at most parks. There are slides, a great bridge for kids to run across, and a small merry go round. My kids played nonstop for two and a half hours. This park has two Portland Loo restrooms, a drinking fountain, and many picnic tables, benches, stools and low walls to sit on. The array of seating options is impressive. And there's a nice parking lot. I am sure we will be back often.
I visited most recently the other day with my brother, but I've been here before with kids I was watching, and the kids always love the playground! Honestly, I appreciate that it's different from the stereotypical cookie cutter playgrounds at a lot of other parks. I haven't spent much time here on my own, the park is a lot more open than the parks I'm used to which tend to have more coverage. I do think that the lack of trees makes it feel a little more industrial and a little less like being out in nature, so it wouldn't be my top choice without kids, but as far as letting kids run off energy goes, it's great! They do have an E-bike station tho! So I got to try them out for the first time and that actually did make for a really fun kid-free experience!
It's a wonderful park, but the homeless have broken down the fence on the far end next to the train tracks and are not very good at cleaning up after themselves, and some of them go into our gardens and steal stuff as well as fresh produce that we spend a long time tending to, they've even broken the fence into a neighboring trailer park for ease of access. Other than that I really like it here, I generally feel pretty safe at this park, it has a very cool playground and workout stations and it is also handicap friendly unlike a lot of other parks around Portland. My only wish is that they install some fountains for everyone to play in during the summer, it gets extremely hot and it would seriously help both humans and dogs stay cool in the summer.
We went there for the Grand Opening, so it was insanely packed (for good reason). My 8yr old son kept saying "This is the coolest park Ever!!". It is huge, with everything you could want. A small no-leash dog area, covered picnic areas, awesome playgrounds with lots of great climbing for the kiddos, a paved path around the entire area, a Native American prayer circle area (I believe that is what they called it?), a sandbox area with a small water feature, lovely green rolling hills...this is a much needed feature in the Cully neighborhood and I look forward to many more playdates here!
Absolutely amazing hidden gem! This park is the best I've found in Portland so far! Large, beautifully manicured, trail, multiple full sized football and soccer fields, expansive play areas for children of all ages and development levels, plenty of parking nice and close to play equipment. This park also has multiple bathrooms, and they clean them EVERY day! But my favorite thing about this park is that despite all that it has to offer it is hardly ever busy, I have never had a problem with being able to park no matter what time I come. I highly recommend this park to all.
Nice little playground in Northeast Portland. It was clean and in fairly good repair when we went there in November of 2022. There were a couple of small patches of damaged rubber ground-cover around the big slide, and the drinking fountains weren't working. You do have to drive through a trailer park to get there. There are two covered picnic areas. The covers are flat and have circular holes in them which seems counter-productive to me. The park is just South of the airport and the train tracks so the kids can watch the planes and trains, if they're into that.
It's a very beautiful park. There's a big hill in the middle for kids to play and a really fun slide, other than that the swings are lame the mary go round is slow and half the time it's under construction. The restooms are only open to public in the summer, and the dog park is cute but super muddy. There are 5 picnic tables by the park and 2 furhter away. Because the park is on a hill it is VERY windy so its great to fly a kite. The only downfall is there's a homeless camp, and they've broken into cars a couple times
Lot of fun aspects to this playground. Soft rubberized ground make it better for the kids to play on. A couple rock and rope features to climb on, some swings, and most interesting some musical instruments kids can play with. It was a fun place anywhere from 4-10 year olds from my experience. Restrooms are near by to go along with some benches and tables. Great place to have picnics or parties, which include some coverage from increment weather.
Dog-friendliness
Dog Park across the parking lot from Playground
There is a parking lot, bathrooms, covered areas with tables, sand play, a small playground, and soccer fields. A nice level paved walking path surrounds the fields with occasional exercise stations. There is a nice enclosed dog park. It is clean and the playground seems suitable for younger children, perhaps 8yrs and under. The play structure or not covered, so it is quite exposed during hot days. Safety: There were a few persons who were possibly homeless passing through. It also is near the train tracks.
Beautiful, wide open spaces for fitness or just relaxing with a picnic. Tons of walking/jogging path. Great playground with lots of interesting features. Check out the churro truck near the entrance - open every night (except Mon.) until 8:30 pm. Only thing I would change is maybe having some astronomy nights where they tone down the lighting - lots of light pollution. And yes, 2 Portland Loos, yay!
Lovely new park, very modern. Small fenced dog park with water, futuristic looking playground, and a fantastic fitness walk (with stops to do this or that exercise). There's a ceremonial area honoring and used by local indigenous tribes. The playing field contained within the fitness walk is huge. I've seen soccer games played there, not sure how much use it gets. Good place for kite flying, too.
I used to love this park , it's where I take my grandkids to play . It's been overran w drug users and professional campers that have damaged or destroyed many of the features like the xylophone , swings, water fountain. Graffiti on the concrete and catwalk to the playground slide. Trash and needles all over the place and unmuzzled dogs . This was a really great place , now it's not so much .
Fun climbing features for various ages and abilities. Really like that there are paved trails around the (smallish sized) sports fields behind the park. Great for short biking adventure or following along with the various exercises marked on the trails. Lots of large picnic tables around the playground. Some shade. Water fountain and nice restrooms.. Gets crowded, especially the parking lot.
Beautiful park with a few really good structures to keep my 4 yr old entertained for a good while but unfortunately this is the first park I’ve been to in Portland where I wasn’t comfortable with our safety. There were definitely some sketchy things going down in the parking lot and the area is not great. We didn’t stay long bc I just wasn’t comfortable alone with my young son.
A Great place to walk your dog, jog, exercise have a picnic, Cully Park has a play area with different type of jungle gym, swings and other activities for children. The parking area is a bit small and some days it does get full quick during the weekend.
Restrooms
Two restroom stations by entrance.
Dog-friendliness
Has it's dog park right next to parking lot.
Excellent park! The playground is profoundly unique and there is a fitness trail that runs the perimeter. Great views and wonderful seating areas. The trails are a mix of paved and pebble gravel that holds traction with power chairs and mobility scooters. Great fields for sports and a separate dog park enclosed area. I highly recommend this park to any family.
I think this place has the best view of any park in the city, except maybe Pittock Mansion. Mt. Hood and St. Helens are right there in front of you, and the walking path around the perimeter feels really expansive. Nice playground equipment for the little kids, and a couple of very large (but poorly drained) soccer fields. The fenced dog run is an added plus.
Great park nestled in an industrial area and right next to railroad yard. Trains are fascinating so perfect park to watch them come and go and toot-toot their whistle. Dog park, soccer fields, cool play area for kids, walking paths, bathrooms, wild flowers, views of the airport. Watch planes land and take off. Exercise stations along the walking path.
I love this parrrrk!!!! Four stars for the broken see-saw. There's a fair amount of parking. The dog park is a nice size plenty of room for 10-20 large dogs but there isn't any separation for smaller dogs. Plenty of features for kids, and space to sit in the shade. Not much for shade in the grass though. Just an edit they fixed the see-saw five stars!
This is a very nice park in a not so great part of town. But hey, the kids in this area deserve a good park with very nice equipment to play on as well. Some of the low ratings are because of maintenance and neighborhood issues, but it was in great condition when we took our grandkids before taking them and our son to the airport.
Love it . It's great park to take dogs . We let them play in unleashed area, then walk them around park a couple times. The park is well kept. Has a few soccer fields . Work out stations positioned around the track area . Has a few other unique areas. Pluss the play area is nice. Oh most importantly park Has plenty of restrooms.
Cute little park like much like Luuwit and Arbor Lodge. There is a small, enclosed sand pit. I didn't see a water feature, but could've missed it. There is a covered seating area perfect for caregivers and snack time. Great for older toddlers as there is lots to climb on. Parking lot is huge.
Great new park with lots of space and views of Mt. Hood. Slides and bridges are very interactive, accessible and require climbing. Bathroom situation is another story, both new bathrooms were closed and Porto Poti has been stewing in the heat for a good week.
It's an awesome park! Lots of space, a playground, and a Parcourse path. The only downside is that the athletic fields don't drain well, so it'll still be sloppy a week after it rains. Bring extra socks and shoes if you plan to run on the grass.
Lovely new neighborhood park. Native plants are well curated for the area. Kids playground area is outstanding. Don't miss the Antojitos El Oasis food truck two driveways from the parking lot with great churros and tamarindo raspados.
Super cute park but it hasn’t been taken care of in ages. Structures closed off and super dirty. I’ll visit again in a few weeks and see if it’s any better for us. I asked the worker and he said should be better in about a week or so!
Great “unconventional” park. Lots of fun! Lost a star because 1. Swings were closed and 2. There were tons of construction workers parking at the park and walking to their job sites. Not a huge issue, but created additional traffic.
Cully dog park nice clean park. The whole family even the dog can get out for fresh air. Bathrooms junglegym fenced dog area also paths to walk. There is even a toco cart just before the entranc. Not sure if it's open all the time.
This is a really nice new park that seems to have everything you would ever need. It has a playground, soccer field, seating, restrooms and more! Also you get an amazing view of Mount Saint Helens and Mount Hood.
Beautiful chill park with a sweet playground and a fenced place to take your dog and a ramp where I go to watch trains. It looses a star because you have to pass a sketchy trailor park to get to it !!!
Very clean and beautiful park. Kids loved it. Very wide slides, sand box, rope climbing and more. Watch trains go by and airplanes land and a view of mt. Hood. Also has picnic tables and restrooms.
Well maintained, lots of options for children and adults of all abilities. Went with family, and the youngest was my 19 month old grandchild. She loved it all. We all had a great experience.
Great park for an easy stroll with exercise stations along the way! Operating drinking fountain, restrooms, and covered area to plug in a phone or laptop! A dog watering tray as well!
WOW! WHAT AN AWESOME KIDS PARK!!! I brought my son here on a whim. Very much a great idea. Fantastic place for young kids to run around and play. Definitely coming back.
Fun place for my grand daughter. Safety is a bit of an issue with the junkies in the parking lot every time we come. I worry about accidental fentanyle exposure
Great playground for little ones that love to climb. Rocks to climb, ropes to climb, swinging bridge to climb, all with a squishy surface to catch a fall
Great park for kids, strange location. Hence 3 stars. Although it felt ghetto all around the park, the park itself was tucked away and seemed to be safe.
Nice Quiet, away from traffic. Exercise trail with equipment for lifting and stretching. Play area and tables and restrooms. Soccer fields. And dog park
Beautiful park with a decent size dog run. Lacking shade but not perfect soft green grass. The playground is exceptional for both kids and yes adults.
Slides, tire swing most of all the rope ladder leading to the top of the Mt. So enjoyable for adults and kids. Best park I ever went too hands down.
I love coming here to watch the puppies get out and run and play. Plus, it has a wonderful playground for the rest of the family as well.
Awesome park! Beautiful view of beautiful Mount Hood, great place kids and adults, great place for walking, running. Gorgeous place!!
Great little park. There are many children's activities, a separate dog park, tables, and a great view of the mountain.
AMAZING park! Loved the water well area. Good area for littles with swings. Two bathrooms that were very clean.
A very nice find! This park is a hidden gem! Very nice playground. Nice off-leash area. Great walking path.
This park is nice and clean. There is a nice loop you can run with a few workout stations along the way.
The dog park is delightful-- Plenty of room to run around, not overcrowded, well maintained.
Worth the wait for this park to open. Great play area, nice views, and sports fields.
I love Cully park! But it’s so hot in summer , it’s good for visit after 4 o 5pm !
Great park. Large fields, fun playground. You can watch the trains and the planes.
Lovely park, very clean with large areas of interest, very relaxing atmosphere
Very nice soccer fields just be aware of the parking it’s very small
Lots of climbing stuff at this park. My kids really enjoyed that.
Great park. Have parent and child free lunch and play.
Very cool park with lots of room to play.
