Have been here quite a few times when visiting the Town Centre. I’ve always had a pleasant experience….until today. Firstly they didn’t have kids chicken nuggets/tenders which was fine. We ordered and food came out quick, drinks did not. One meal was the Swiss chicken baguette special and the bun was mouldy!!! They took it away and made another one for my sister (which took so long to come out we had all finished our meals!). The second meal ( mine) was the fritters which were burnt to beyond being edible. Reluctantly I sent them back where a lady came back to me who I assume was the manager and quite rudely said that they can make me more but they will look the same as that’s how they are cooked and they aren’t burnt at all. I replied with I’m sorry but they were clearly burnt! I tried eating them and all I could taste was burnt food! She replied back we have a lot of people think this but they aren’t, it’s the oil they are cooked in!?!?! I wish I had taken a photo as they were clearly burnt!! She said we can offer you another dish or more fritters. I went with another dish - toast and when she came over to reimburse us slammed the money down on the table! Needless to say when visiting NTC again we will not be eating here any more!

Went here with my daughter for a cute breakfast. The menu seemed okay, ordered Kids Pancake & Salmon Eggs Bene. Asked for extra mushrooms on the side. I asked the waitress if the mushrooms were sautéed. She has no idea what that meant but ok. Turned out to be sautéed. The kids pancake looked okay. Kinda boring presentation with the one pancake, maple syrup, icing sugar and ice cream. My salmon eggs bene looked sad the moment it landed on my table. The hollandaise sauce looked like it was old and cold before it even left the kitchen, which was super dissatisfying as I’m a huge eggs bene lover and believe the sauce either makes or breaks the meal. In this case it totally ruined the meal. There was a decent amount of extra mushrooms however the mushrooms were clearly not fresh, you could tell as it was rubbery and it was almost burnt with no seasoning. Kinda had to force eat it. The size of the “kids milkshake” was kinda disappointing for the price. The best thing was the hot chocolate. Overall kinda disappointed with the dining experience.

Bright and airy place. Quick and good service. Tasty and generous breakfast servings. Love their extra large 'mega' mug option for hot beverages! Nice place for cheerful meal, can be very busy but not noisy considering the space. My new breaky place, I think. The photo is their Degani Breakfast Stack (poached eggs, sourdough toasts, avocado, bacon, spinach, grilled haloumi and hash browns). Revisited on 10/05/2019 and ordered something else. Salt and pepper squid was yum! And I thought the servings were humongous! Revisit 04/10/2019 - ordered their Degani Burger Deluxe. Delicious to the last bite. Their chips were not as good, might give sweet potatoes fries a go next time.

Had lunch there recently. Had fish and chips and chicken tenders and chips. Food was yummy and fish and chips were even gluten free. Only bad part of our lunch was the man on the front counter was not polite and was giving off a vibe it was a nuisance to have to serve us. I felt very uncomfortable ordering. However people who bought out our meals were lovely as was the food

Much of what they sell is gluten free. The fish and chips were also gluten free and yummy

Not very welcoming as i was left to wait and find my own seating. Then had a menu dumped on my table and told "to order yourself at the counter". I ordered an avocado smash with a side of baked tomatoes, no fresh juice on the menu. I got my food but was straight away disappointed as the 2 measly pieces of sourdough toast had hardly any avo on it and to top it off half a baked tomatoe..i could literally see the toast it was so thin. An avocado smash should have avo or at least thats what i expected. Total cost was $20.40 with a nestle peach iced tea which to be honest for the food i got was a total rip off and not value for money at all! Very disappointing.

Place order at counter for coffee and food, after 40min all I received was the coffee. After asking about order was informed that it never went through to the kitchen. The waitress apologised and offered another coffee, when I asked for the same coffee “The Caffinator” she replied could I get you a normal coffee instead, obviously because of the cost. If you are going to offer something as a good will gesture and then decline due to cost better not to offer it at all. I have been coming here for breakfast for a long time. I will not be coming back.

My first visit to Degani cafe was for breakfast with my wife. I ordered the double bacon and egg roll, my wife had the poached eggs on sourdough. A little disappointed with my meal. The roll was quite greasy and oily, but nice otherwise. I'm not a fan of brioche, as no this roll was quite sweet. There was no mention of what type of roll would be served on the menu. Sandra's eggs where ok, although a little cold and undercooked. Coffee was fine. I'll come back to give it another go, but so far nothing to rave about. Oh, it would be nice if the waitress delivering our cutlery had gloves on in these Covid-19 times.

Wanted to stop in for some lunch this afternoon but decided against it as seeing workers leaning all over counter tops and benches which deterred me from visiting, as I think it’s very unhygienic and unprofessional (aimed at specifically at the Caucasian male worker out who was behind the till leaning on the bench with his arms crossed having a laugh with a girl). Very unfortunate as I have been wanting to stop in for a while .

Another genetic cafe charging huge mark ups due to our collective desire for a meeting place in a world taken over by shops. Food was bad. I order eggs my way, they could not handle fried hard. They failed once, they failed twice by which time the rest of my meal was cold. Furthermore the biggest breakfast says it contains hashbrowns, not only is it one hashbrown but it is small. Go anywhere else for better food, or just go hungry instead. Do not recommend

Went there with my wife for breakfast , it was very busy so I thought we try it out it's gotta be good , it turned out to be the opposite!! I ordered my flat white and it was full of froth so I'm not sure if they've gotta student to make my coffee but anyway , Staff were pretty bad with bad attitude none of them even smiles at your face !! Servings were pretty average nothing special and the presentation was one of the worst I've experienced tbh !! I hope the management look into this and fix all these issues .

Usually went to this spot for a coffee in the morning, easily spent over $400 in coffees here for the people in my office after just a few months. Went to claim a free coffee the other day after using up a loyalty card worth of coffees, owner (who I’d only seen once before) was extremely upset about it as if I was stealing off the bloke? Was very confused and wanted to charge me for milk too. Crazy the treatment i got from the owner after being so loyal to this place. All the other staff are great though.

Have to agree with previous negative comments bout this place . The staff have personalities of dial tones . I work in hospitality also and unlike the guy behind the counter with the beard and partially shaven head I would never call my customer BUD .like he did with me . The table staff look so unhappy . I saw the reviews and thought no I'll go and try it out for myself as reviews can sometimes be not valid . I should have saved my money and made my own breakfast which in this case was Luke warm .

I strongly urge you to give DEGANI a try as their food is incredibly delicious and made with the utmost freshness. Fantastic customer service experience today. My family had a brekky dine in and the young gentleman came out, greeted us with menus and how to order. A young lady then as we were finishing noticed I had not finished my smoothie as we were leaving, went out of her way to offer me a take away cup so it wasn't wasted. Old service never gets old! Well done to their trainers and parents, they should be commended.

Rarely go out for breakfast but thought we would do something nice and treat ourselves. What a mistake. Got coffees straight away - they were cold. Almost 40 minutes later got our food. Mine looked bland, husbands was cold!! The only warm thing on the plate were the mushrooms. Paid over $40 for a breakfast that was disappointing to say the least. People were getting their meals before us that came in long after we did. Will never go back there. Do not go there.

Placed an order for a ham cheese tomato toastie for take away over the counter as I was in a rush for an appointment. Waited so long, had to ask 3 times for the order and still nothing! It ended up coming out 30 minutes later and the venue was not even busy. Don’t know why it took so long for something so basic and simple! Really need to sort it out, am not going back. Sorry.

Paid $5.20 for a small Extra Shot Cappuccino on Almond, take away. Got it in about a minute and it was absolutely nuked. Never had an almond cap this hot before. I had to wait and hold the coffee for 20 minutes before taking a sip. A further 10 minutes later I necked about 1/3rd of it and had to throw it. Preeetty sure the proteins in the almond milk split. Yuck, don’t bother, get your coffee from Soul Origin or that Italian joint next to GOZLEME Xpress.

The flat white I received was extremely disappointing, far from the quality I expected. It would greatly improve the experience if skilled baristas were hired who possess the expertise to craft exceptional coffee. Considering the price I paid, $5, it is disheartening to receive a subpar coffee of such poor quality.

I decided to come to this cafe for coffee and brekky as it always looks busy so i thought it must be good. I ordered the degano breakfast stack. I requested for the bacon to be crispy but it wasnt and was overloaded with bacon. There was a very small piece of haloumi that tasted off and the avocado tasted sour. It had way to much spinach. I did not enjoy it and was forcing myself to eat it. Coffee was decent though

The food was amazing service was perfect. We spent our meal watching the owner treat staff like garbage. Swearing under his breath,balling up his vist. Shaking his head. It was awful. The staff looked so uncomfortable. At one point he was yelling at the male barista I wanted to intervein. All this in front of customers. Shame on you!

Honestly the service here is very unprofessional, One girl is cleaning knife's and forks front of us and throwing them in making the biggest noise she can see this is the reason my baby is crying. Then she comes to serve our food leans on top of my baby with the plate to place them on the table. By the way this is the same girl I highly recommend there manager to train these people properly with manners

I honestly don't know why this place gets so many negative reviews! I have been to this cafe on numerous occasions and every time the food was perfect and the staff polite and friendly. I tend to be a bit difficult to impress when it comes to quality of food I get at cafes and I have been impressed every time I have eaten here. I honestly don't know what the negative reviews are talking about.

Took my gf out for breakfast on Sunday. They make a good banana thick shake but unfortunately that’s where it ends... the chicken burger was so dry and the bosciola chicken not so bad, I forced myself to eat it as I was hungry and I can’t justify waste. I’m just hoping the desserts that I have taken away are as good as they look Sorry guys but honesty is always the best policy

These guys are fantastic! Great service and very accomodating. I had all of my wisdom teeth removed recently and the staff at Degani went out of their way to ensure that I could eat everything on my plate and made sure it was at the perfect temperature. I actually actively promote this cafe to anybody looking for a great quality coffee that is backed by amazing customer service!

Dun even wanna give one star but zero isn't an option. Ordered a steak and specified it to be rare. Turned out to be pretty well-cooked. Talked to the waiter about it but obviously the chef argued it was "medium rare" so it was good enough. The steak itself was tasteless, meat was tough and dry. The broccoli was not cooked at all. Will not recommend it to anyone.

Food was great. Eggs were cooked perfectly and was on the table very quickly. Food tasted beautiful. Unfortunately the coffee deserves 1 star. It was horrible. So bad that we left them on the table. Coffee was so watery. Ordered caramel lattes and didn't even taste like caramel, in fact it didn't even taste like coffee. Yuck.

Evening outing with family, relaxed atmosphere. Waitresses were on the ball, both asked if we need anything and we're helpful. The food came quickly and was delicious - Degani Cheeseburger - received the family 3 ticks (our family max rating).

I have absolutely no fault! With the staff, efficiency, service and quality and taste of the food! I can't remember the last time I had a breakfast that I actually wanted to rave about. I live an hour away from this cafe and plan on making many more trips as it is so worth it. Thank you for an amazing start to my day.

Disappointed. I always enjoy the gluten free options. It's one place I always feel safe to eat. Today I asked for a simple ham and cheese toastie. It was $11.50 It was a soggy, untoasted bun with ham and cheese and the container filled with a puddle of grease. Not happy paying $11.50 for a soggy bun and grease.

Never disappoints. We had the salmon. And baked eggs and the salmon degani. Both cooked perfectly with generous servings of salmon. Food and coffee to die for but the man (who I believe to be the owner) who huffs and puffs and doesn't smile just ruins the whole experience. I don't go out to breakfast with friends and family on a Sunday to be treated like a nuisance. If you're not a people person get another job.

I came here with a friend on a busy Sunday. Despite most tables being full, we managed to squeeze and has menus put on our table instantly. It was obviously a bit of a wait for food. But all staff were helpful and friendly, and the coffee is excellent.

Staff are awesome, but the food needs work. Nachos with not much salsa, and a lot of butter beans... this isn't exactly what I like, but did have a good flavour. Needs to fix itself now before throwing itself out with a minimal menu.

Ive never seen a gluten free place with such a large variety of gf food the coffee was large and the food on point but the home made cakes might be the best kept secret

Had burgers and the presentation was hipster. However the ingredients were tasteless with the highlight on tomato sauce. The beef patty was tasteless and overall sweet.

Everyone was lovely and you can tell that they all work so hard, thank you for making my experience pleasant. You all deserve a pat on the back and big thank you ❤️❤️
