Dude told me exactly why I shouldn't buy the boot that I wanted and sent me to the other store across town that did not have the boot that I wanted. Talked to me like I've never had a boot on my foot, like me and my partner weren't walking in there to buy boots. I was in the neighborhood, and had been wanting some Danners for a while and it is definitely boot-thirty, so we went in. Saw the pair I had been drooling over and they had it in my size. He sent us to the airport store (not the neighborhood I was in, but home is Falls City, OR, so why not try) the airport store did not have what I was looking for. Found a pair for my partner at Redwing. I am still looking. I will not go back to Danner.

Not that I really need another pair of boots but I just couldn’t resist buying a pair of Crater Rims, customer returns, at half price. Just lucky that was the boots I was after and of the few pairs on their sale shelf were exactly my size. If you’ve been to the outlet store close to the airport you might think that visiting this shop isn’t worth it but it is. Although smaller it stocks quite a few things not available in the bigger outlet. Big thanks to both members of staff in the store especially Paul from my home country (the friendly nation on the other side of the pond!). By the way I have a pair of USA made Danner boots still going strong after 23 years of wear.

I was in town on business for a conference and had heard of Danner boots before. Well I am from MI and Red Wings are the popular ones up here and they do make a great boot. However I just happened to walk by the Burnside store and was like OMGosh i have to go in. There boots are very nice and well made. Jayme was the person who helped me out and was extremely knowledgeable. I ended up getting two pair. Overkill but they should last the rest of my life and also they are so nice that they are "in style" as well when you dress up so both functional and they look good. Regardless, I love them and Jayme is the guy you need to see he was the best.

Stopped in for some help with replacing my 20 year old Danner boots (after visiting the factory store where the staff couldn’t be bothered with customer service). Paul and Todd at the Union Way store were fantastic. They answered all my questions, took genuine interest in making sure I got a proper fit, and went out of their way to get my new boots to me when my size wasn’t in stock (they even offered me some delicious snacks). Danner is lucky to have guys like this representing the brand. The boots are good of course, but salespeople who take customer satisfaction personally are rare indeed.

From the moment I walked in, my questions were answered and special care was taken by the staff to help me find the right shoes. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted when I went in, and they helped me feel confident in my decision and got me in the perfect size. I ended up with a pair of black Bull Runs, and I can't wait to wear them in. The atmosphere of the shop was comfortable, and there is a stellar assortment of other Northwest goods (like Pendleton Woolen Mills products) that truly make this shop an experience AND a destination.

Stopped in at this downtown location on the search for some rather specific details for some work boots. I also have small feet so finding work boots is a challenge everywhere. Although this location did not have a pair of boots for me to try on, the associate helped me find something that fit my needs in their catalog and located another Danner store that carried the shoe and sizes I needed and wrote them all down for me! Really appreciated the help in navigated their products. Thank you!

Worst experience trying on shoes in all my life. At the moment was in the market for new tennis shoes and wanted to wanted to shop local. Also im going to buy some boots here soon and Danber boots are my top choice. Well i alreafy knew which New Balance i wanted. Unfortunately my size was not available so I tried it on in a different color. I was not assisdyed with my shoes and he made zero effort to secure me as a customer. So i left and wont be back

Great store in downtown Portland to try on the iconic Danner shoes, a Portland local pride and many models are "Made in USA". Their shoes are both highly functional and have great aesthetically style. Customer service was very friendly and attentive. Besides Danner, the store also carries some other outdoor brands and has a small but nice selection of outdoor apparels and gears like socks, bottles, backpacks.

Tod and Bryson are absolute exemplary customer service representatives. I Came in there Rolling deep in the tornado that are all my kids and they rose to the occasion by conversing with my little ones about the plants, inviting them to sit by the fire, as well as calling other stores to hunt down an elusive retail item. We were really all made to feel comfortable and most welcome . Mahalos!

I had an amazing experience! I got my boots as a gift and after going on a hike I quickly realized that that are small:( I went to the store to see if that can help me and end up with new size that works! The shoes are 100% waterproof and sooo comfortable! Just need to break down the ankle support! Thank you Danners team for the great service and awesome products!

This store is nicely laid out and the sales professionals are fantastic. Mark helped me find the right work boots in a pinch close to the closing hours. I am a landscape foreman for a local company. My work boots (different brand) blew out on me at the end of the work day. Mark helped me get set up with the right boot to get to work the next day. Super satisfied.

Great boots, a little speedy online, but less so at their retail stores in Portland. Usually have incredible staff who will make your shoe buying experience fun and personal. However something to look out for are making sure you get the right sole and not one manufactured to fail to in China. Ask a store employee, they should know the difference.

Great customer service and warranty! Was in Portland on vacation and experiencing a fitment issue I've had since new with my 1+ year old Danners. Saw this store and decided to drop in, not expecting anything. 15 minutes with the helpful staff and the problem was rectified. Danner's warranty is truly one of the best I've experienced.

Worth a stop for sure. I was going to buy online but was in the neighborhood and stopped in. It was well worth the trip. They gave me great recommendations and helped me find the perfect fit (I would ordered the wrong size for sure). Very pleased with the work boots I ended up with and I’ll be back for my next pair of hiking boots!

Had a great experience shopping here today. Otta (hopefully I’m spelling that correctly) was wonderful and patiently answered my naive questions. Great shop and good service today from 2 employees. We’re in town on vacation and stopped by to check out the assortment as both recently got some boots from the online store. Picked up a shirt but the staff was very attentive without being annoying and were willing to help and answer questions. Great experience.

Bought online very nice looking low rise hike boots 1932's green laces.. Although pretty.. I live in Florida and learned REEEAAAL quick-NO low socks! Also, the rear heel is high and has been ripping into my upper heel. Will be donating these $160 boots and will pass purchasing in the future ;(

My favorite brand, the store has the whole heritage collection for women too! Perfect for winter. I prefer the lifestyle models for my active life though. I highly recommend the Trail2650 breathable, gortex and vibram sole. Happy feet for long hikes with my baby, perfect during hot summers

I was very disappointed to find that this store did not carry ANY duty boots. They carry plenty of hiking shoes and other work boots, but nothing for the industry that considers them standard. The three stars are for the excellent reputation, minus 2 for poor marketing and selection.

While my 25 year old Danners still don't show their age, I decided it was time for a second pair. They are amazing; no breaking in, perfect fit. The store clerks were helpful and friendly and honestly added to my ongoing great experience with Danner.

Good quality boots! Fanned has revived some older styles and improved designs. Staff were very helpful. Unfortunately, this store can be limited with stock due to limited storage space. Some sizes aren’t always available.

I just got a pair of boots from Todd. I'm a wildland firefighter, I spent an hour in there try to decide which fit was the best for me and Todd helped me out the whole way. I would highly recommend going to the store

Cheap shoes aren't good, and good shoes aren't cheap...... that being said, these shoes are great, and honestly not that expensive, (for what you receive) . Mark was super helpful. Totally happy with my purchase!

They didn't last a year! The heals wore out quickly and the boots are horrible quality. As a local I buy local but can't because danner boots are a bad investment. Sadly their glory days are over.

A bunch of style junkies that know nothing about a good work boot !!! I don't want to spend 300$ on a boot so I can curl my mustache and walk around trying not to get a scratch on them .. get real

Mark did a great job helping me find two different styles of boots. The selection of work boots at the union store is limited but Mark was able to relate products on the shelf to what I need.

Super friendly and honest salesman here! He is knowledgeable about the stuff and will offer you genuine advice to save your money. They also carry some classic White’s boots here.
