NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO MATHEW DAWES!,my vehicle went in 5 times to have a noise in the engine fixed,and a oil leak fixed,even after 5 visits the vehicle still has the noise and is still leaking oil,then mathew dawes done $1300 dollars damage to the drivers side door panel and denied doing it and did not want to do anything about it! ABSOLUTE RIP OFF OF A BUISNESS OVERCHARGED VERY VERY UNTRUSTWORTHY SLY PERSON,IF I COULD RATE THIS WORKSHOP A ZERO I WOULD!!!! NEVER GO HERE!!

First time I have visited Dawes Automotive Moonah was welcomed by Julian told him problem with my vehicle brake lights not working he immediately ordered parts for my vehicle-part arrived less than 2 hrs after- but within less than half hour he had vehicle ready for me. Defently would not recommend this place try to tell me I needed a new gearbox in my car give me a $2600 bill and tell me get gearbox go back well I got someone else to have a look and well well well the gears indicator was not even lined up proberly so angry and will be taken this further one very unhappy customer …

Needed the Head Gasket replaced on my vehicle, there was no mucking around, Matt and his crew were professional in their dealing, courteous and willing to assist. Paid for a “service A”. They did not complete a type pressure check, didn’t fill the coolant up, didn’t take it for a final test drive and didn’t check the windscreen wipers despite charging for all of these services. They did however change the front brakes and air filter. Car was with them from 0730-1630.

Matthew is very reliable and trustworthy person, I always look for his advice when it comes to my car. If you are not a mechanic person then you can completely trust on Matthew and if you are sound on cars then i am pretty sure you will have a great conversation with him.
