It's difficult to know where to start with this uni. I posted a review that didn't show up so I'm posting again now I have left the uni after 2 years and 2 different courses I have a very good idea of what it's like. This uni is in the bottom 10 on the current Guardian league tables for good reason. BE WARNED. Not just the course itself but the uni management, course leaders, course reps, mental health/autism services and DMU global have all been horrendous and I regret everything about coming here and am now transferred elsewhere. It feels less like a uni and more like a secondary school. This is due to the immature behaviour of students and classroom layouts of the course which is not usual for a university. It really did feel like going back to year 9 and considering I owe DMU almost £20000 from 2 years there it really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I gave DMU another chance after the disaster of Concept and Comic art. I joined creative writing which was also a disaster. I believe this is a problem with the uni all around not just specific courses. Work is only nominated to be put forward as a vote of popularity contest and favouritism, rather than the content of the work. It's all unfair and based on which students are the most popular. You are frequently humiliated by your tutors and feedback is oftentimes completely unconstructive and negative. There are about a million different issues I have had with this uni that range from mildly irritating to shockingly illegal. There simply is not space on here to highlight everything but be assured that the uni simply DOES NOT CARE enough to do anything about seriously glaring concerns. When I brought concerns to a certain course rep I was blamed for having CPTSD and autism which is honestly a huge shock to me. Issues should be dealt with rather than pointing fingers at someone for having a disorder. Would you blame someone for being in a wheelchair or being deaf/blind? The treatment of those with mental health diagnosis has honestly been shocking. I suspect the uni will respond to this requesting a way to rectify things. But what I have learned that any feedback/complaints are ignored. I submitted plenty of feedback via course leaders, reps, surveys etc and even submitted two official complaints to the uni about the autism leader Claire Squires and the DMU global trip to Amsterdam due to the unprofessionalism involved in both. Including the group staff leaders deciding to stop us all to gawk at the body of a man who had DIED on the side of the road for 15 minutes and a DMU student on the trip who screamed extremely ableist things at me in public when we were in the middle of Amsterdam and harassed me the entire trip due to wearing a sunflower lanyard for being disabled. Those who wear sunflower lanyards beware. Because despite the fact uni hands them out they do NOTHING to prevent harassment for wearing one. I still have trauma from this months later and it's made me scared to ever go abroad again. But will the uni actually do anything or care about this? Absolutely not. Because they didn't care then, so won't care now. But every single time I gave the uni another chance or tried to voice my concerns absolutely nothing changed. In the words of another student the uni is "held together with duct tape." It looks impressive and shiny on the outside but inside you quickly realise this is nothing more than a for-profit business that does NOT care about students. As much as I and many others wish it otherwise this is the truth. Unless management is fundamentally changed at DMU nothing will ever change. So now the only reason I turned to Google reviews was because the uni refused to deal with the issues I brought to their attention. Hopefully by writing this review people will consider a different uni because quite frankly, DMU doesn't deserve a dime from anyone.

If you want to pursue BA Hons Fashion design; Firstly, you’re only paying the uk tuition fee or the international students fee to attend the sessions. You have to pay a lot for the projects, such as sketchbooks, paints, pencils, pattern makers, fabrics and printing. You do get a university bursary, one hundred and fifty for the first year, three hundred for the second year and five hundred for the final year. This doesn’t fully cover the whole year in comparison. Furthermore, depending on each lecturer, the design of teaching staff is poor. For instance, when it comes to getting criticism from feedback, half of it would be vague. Therefore, it would be difficult to act upon it for future projects. During the studio sessions, I get the impression that each lecturer has a favourite student and tends to work on their improvement, compared to the other students. As part of the course, we do digital sessions by creating CAD drawings and spec packs. The digital lecturers would often be frustrated if we were stuck on something or didn’t seem to get it straight away. Also, the final years has priority over the first and second year groups. Which is unfair as each year is important to graduate. In the studio, there are good facilities with three sewing rooms, a knitting room and loads of big tables to pattern cut, sketchbook work or even garment construction. The two sewing technicians are somewhat helpful, but it depends on who they are helping. This is because they are the only ones for first, second and final years. Personal tutors have never helped me or even stayed in contact to see how I was. During the year, the whole year group and the personal tutors had a meeting on what needed to be improved. All the students voiced their opinions on what needs to be improved. However, I get an Impression that, the personal tutors seem to be defensive and arguing their point, not being able to listen and help us all. Self-direct study is heavily used on this course as we would have to do our own research, sketches and illustrations. As well as the final pattern cut and final garment make. This is because all of the lecturers are vague, didn't seem to want to help you and didn't listen to understand what needs to be improved.

Such a waste of money and time!!! TO all international students out there, please don't attend this uni or waste your money here. All they do is bring students inn with false hopes and fail either your dissertation module or another random module so that you are ineligible for PSW, this is been happening for students studying from academic year 2021 onwards, i was doing my masters and faced the same problem, so is atleast 40 of other students i know, they delay the results as much as they can, knowing in the last minute the intl students dont have the time or money to go behind a university legally! My class pass percentage was less than 50% , no proper response from your module leaders, all they come up with is, they know nothing, contact gateway and when we contact gateway , they'll be like contact your professors, what a joke! Masters results or your email responses or your appeal responses take ages to reach you, but if you have passed your fees due date, they will cut the login the very next day, i wish this same enthusiasm existed for the university to realise the passionate and hardworking students. After spending whole of your life's hard earned money for a masters in this university, i can say i an gutted by the outcome and the subpar response they have with everything, what a lame university, I beg everyone to not waste your hard earned money and time in such a place, i can go on about the mishaps and wrong doings in this particular university, email me for more details , anyone out there i would be more than happy to help and prevent you from landing in the same disaster that has caught up with my life

Great facilities and appears to be my daughter's first choice of unis so far My only issue was the orgaization of the whole day. There was no clear direction when we arrived as to where we needed to go. The welcome email advised we needed to sign in for track and trace however, after asking several times we were advised that we were ok. The email also advised there would be free drinks on arrival yet we were charged. This was however, rectified later on in the day when we queried it with a different events team member who was Manning the drinks stall and to be fair to her she was very apologetic. Finally, we were advised to congregate at Hawthorn Square for an accommodation tour at 10am we asked someone at around 10 to where that location was only to be informed that it was incorrect and we actually needed to be around a 15 minute walk away at Filbert Village. We hastily walked towards it however when we got there we were advised we needed to go across a carpark and up an embankment or walk another 10 minutes down the road. As I was in a wheelchair the lady said it wasn't really suitable for me taking the shortcut so we would I fact miss the tour that we were booked on. Finally, at the end of the day we managed to locate the building we were supposed to book in at on arrival and register for the test and trace. Bit late by then as after looking around there we were leaving anyway. Terrible communication and bad organizational skills. This is our only concern really about future organization of future events.

DO NOT GO HERE! Extremely Unprofessional Tutoring. Worst experiences. The main BA Fine Art / Contemporary Art Masters course leader gossips all the time and about other tutors' staff, the university, the management, the system, the course structures, and, worst of all- other students to the STUDENTS! Openly. Daily. It's so bad. Creates all sorts of tension within the staff and one huge cess pit of a toxic environment for students who feel let down and betrayed by staff leaders and the University as a result. Staff should not constantly trash talk about the University to students as routine. Blame passing. She also takes time off to prioritise personal work throughout the course at crucial times and doesn't give feedback on students' grades because too busy with her own work. DMU needs leaders who are not practising second careers elsewhere that can focus on the students as a priority. Moonlighting is bad for the students who need consistency, priority, and dedication. Sharing personal and private sensitive information and descretions about students should be kept STRICTLY in the staff room on a 'need to know' basis only. I'm horrified at the unnecessary stress and conflict and tears caused to students that we have witnessed. Go to Loughborough or Birmingham University instead. Far better. I'm just sad we found out the hard way how shocking the management behaviour is. #Poor #Lecturers, poor #value, #waste of #money, #fees, #studying, understand, #learn

My boyfriend applied DMU this year in January. He got his unconditional offer at the beginning of February, accepted it and at the end of the same month he payed his deposit. He was informed that he should get his CAS number no later than on the 10th of July. Since then he's been trying to contact DMU and every time he got the answer "If you won't get the number at the end of this week, please call us again.". He did. He called you multiple times, sent emails that were left without any answer. Nobody at any point asked for his customer reference number to check if his number was issued or not. At some point he finally got an answer that his number should be sent to him at 31st of July, which was Friday. On Monday 3rd of August he called you again, because he hasn't received anything. Again he got an answer to call next week. It is outrageous to put your students in such stressful situation, especially during the time of pandemic, when applying for visa is even more difficult and takes more time. Now we are stressed he won't get here in time, he payed for his accommodation and he won't be able to use it. What is more, he is forced to buy a plane ticket for thousands of pounds, because you can't fulfill your responsibilities as a university. So, yeah- my suggestion for improvement is: Do your damn job, because apparently you're being payed for sitting around.

An absolute disastrous University who does the talk but not the walk. The staff is incompetent with a low focus on the students. Solving the most simple inquires such as Blackboard issues will take ages. You will be forwarded back and forth with no one knowing anything about nothing. They even seem annoyed when you come queries, like we don't pay all that money to not be taken seriously. We pay their salaries! Besides that the teaching staff are mostly a mess. Some show competence and enthusiasm about teaching but the rest are just questionable. I seriously don't even understand how this University has managed to be popular because they do not deliver on any of their promises. And I am not only speaking from my experience but my friends and other students there. DMU is great with marketing and recruiting students but thats it. They seem to forget that promises should be kept. No wonder why they have such a low university ranking.. A waste of 9000 punds per year I would say. Most importantly I am speaking from my current experience as I am in my second year in the business and law faculty. Please folks think wisely and choose a more competent University.

This is the worst University for the life time. I am a current student of DMU came on Sept 2019. And all the 2nd semester has gone through online classes. And apart from I cleared all the modules and project as well except one module. I worked hard for that and ready to give me resit on this 2021 Jan 26th. But they have blocked my access due to non payment of fee. I have given clear concern to them that am going to pay my tuition fee on Feb 1st week.kindly give me the access to submit my course work. They refused to give me the access and I haven't got Masters Degree coz of there foolish thing. The worst University is DMU they worst management is DMU. it's better to close your university instead of fooling students and playing with there career because of this DMU I completely last my career and my Master's Degree. Now even though if I pay the I don't get my Master Degree certificate because of non submission. India is the best country with Ethics and values and lot of love. This country will run your career for sure. And make you slum dog before you leave this country. It's waste of time and money to plan for this country. This is my real story.

As a current student at DMU studying Foundation Art & Design, I am now coming towards the end of my current course. I am going to be studying my degree here at DMU, after making the decision that this university is the right place for me. I have never felt better and more supported in my studies than I have at this wonderful university. The staff are experts in their field and always show a caring attitude towards students. The university provides amazing facilities that are available to everyone and I have never felt secluded or left out in any regard in any area of the university. The library is fantastic and the university feels very secure and safe with the inclusion of ID cards and security roaming campus 24/7. I want to thank all the wonderful Foundation Art & Design staff for giving me a truly memorable and happy experience on the course, and for always showing a positive attitude even when things haven't gone to plan.

Please don`t fall for the unconditional offers like I did. I love the course that I do and they do offer really interesting modules however, lecturers are not as supportive as I expected from the Business and Law department, they don`t explain things properly, I don`t understand how they got a `Gold in teaching` when I learn more and better from textbooks than my lecturers nor did I opt to pay £9250 to deal with and do group work with rude and ignorant people . Its a shame getting into so much debt and not getting `value for money`. Also open days don`t give you a clear picture of the reality as you wont be able to tell if you like it or not until you`ve actually experienced it , I loved DMU when i went to its Open day but now that I'm here I absolutely dislike it. Everyone has different experiences and I respect that, some people might be happy but i`m certainly not.

Have been trying to contact the university for over a month as an alumni and a potential master student about a few things. Still haven't received any response. In the meantime I have received an email in response to my application that I have been assessed as an oversees student although according to the official document determining home and overseas students as well as a few other universities I do qualify as a home student. About my teaching experience as an undergraduate - wasn't very happy as many of the tutors/lecturers have too high pride to admit to their mistakes and I feel like they're not being very fair with marking students papers and can be very biased. The only reason I wanted to continue my study at this university was the location and the course choice

I'm writing to voice my worries about the university's most recent adjustments to its academic regulations. Although I recognise the necessity of regulations, I think it's critical that they be applied consistently. I've learned that the institution changed its retake policy for modules this year. In the past, failing students had the chance to retake a module one year later. But it appears that this policy has altered without warning, which has an impact on present pupils. Numerous students—including those from abroad—invest a substantial amount of money in their education, frequently with the help of their families' savings. It is depressing to realise that these abrupt policy changes may prevent these youngsters from having an equal opportunity to achieve.

One of the worst university in uk. Don’t study here they will ruin your carrier . Alote of Students are complaining about the university . Alote of complaints are getting to indian gov as well as uk parliament. They will not correct your exam papers ,if you got 50 marks in your first exam. ‘They will blindly give only 50 marks to coming semester exam papers. They are looting foreign students money .there is no reexamination or valuation if you want to pass the failed paper u should have to pay the entire course fee again for just one or two paper . University will not respond to your mails or calls if you have a problem. Their replay was “ do whatever you can “. I am planning to start #boycottdmu campaigning on social media . I will show you what I can .

Before joining this university, theres talks of how after you graduate from dmu, you have a high percentage of getting a job and how they’ll continually support you after graduation to ensure you get your dream job, since graduation, not only have i not been able to get a job, the university support system is none existent, very difficult to call anyone for support and when you finally get a hold of someone it’s useless. Some universities such as bcu and aston university support their graduates and ensure they hve the best possible chances of finding a job. Its not just about getting the students to come here, supporting them find a job is extremely important and my experience with this university is one of no support and i hve been let down immensely.

  • pawel kulig

I'm Mechatronic student in there. After nearly 2.5 year I can say with great level of confidence that DMU should not be your choice if you interested in engineering. Just do assessment approach, tutors often just read loud something writen by somebody else, they telling you to ask questions, but never answe to any. Don't copy my mistake. Engineers should understand what they doing there is no way to get that understanding from DMU. Example last therm we been told that due to industry demands we will get a bit of training on Moulding and Welding. Welding training we been told about every week till, was a joke bloke took MIG told us to where masks and thats all as it wasn't automatic mask so we seen nothing there wasn no info how to operate it at all.

NO STARS Worst University that just take your money and do not help you. I had difficulties and didn't get help and failed my course. I was having difficulties instead of helping me the teachers would refer to me to in the class and say I will fail the course (I was bullied by the teachers). I then went to a different University and got help and found out I had learning difficulties and passed the course. I asked De Montfort University for my fees back but they refused, they are unfair, unreasonable, not responsible, discriminate, and do not help and do not care about you. (Update, I emailed them as stated in their response to this review, and as expected no reply. As you can see they are not concerned or want to look into anything).

  • Amelia Fish

An awful University. I can say the whole experience was a waste of time and money. Throughout Covid and lockdown lecturers provided very little help with work and had put barely any effort into teaching and the quality of the online lectures provided. In 2021, my course was classed as essential course by the government. The government had said that face-to-face teaching and practicals could resume for my course, however DMU still continued with everything being online, even in the final year of my course. Due to all three years of my degree being online I feel totally uneducated and unknowledgeable about the subject I have a degree in, and I don't even feel like I have enough knowledge to start a career in the subject I studied.

DO NOT APPLY INTO THIS UNI! ZERO STARS The lecturers weren't helpful at all and my Module Leader was downright rude and spoke to me in a condescending way, clearly knowing how much I was struggling at the time. One of the finance lecturers secretly gave my friends who were failing extra marks to push them through the first time, and I asked him for his assistance with my assignment during my final attempt he and he was extremely rude and unhelpful. He's a partial man who doesn't deserve to be a teacher. Aside from that, DMU took 8 months to send my certificate to my address, knowing damn well I was applying elsewhere. I begged the staff and they were so cold, it's almost scary! Wasted all my time and money. Thanks DMU!

  • Kesh B

Do not attend this university unless you want all your hopes and dreams killed. It's just a business, its not a service. Your brain is not enhanced, and the lecturers just want rubbish written on a piece of paper which relates to 19th century theory. If you're considering on doing a business or accountancy/finance course, I would highly suggest you look elsewhere. The lecturers really don't care, and just want their salary. Do an apprenticeship if DMU is your only choice. Not to mention the segregation within the students, no one interacts with eachother. I've heard its different for other courses in the uni, but seriously, do not take accountancy/finance/business here, you will be severely disappointed.

  • Kasif Khan

I have been trying to communicate with the student welfare team regarding international hardship fund but these people dont have time to respond back to your emails. Also the university is such that they cant process work letter at the moment for their students. Employers I wish to work for wont register me without a work letter and uni says the cant process it at the moment. What do you expect students to do, go beg??? It is been more than a week I have applied for international hardship fund(zero responce). Applied for work letter(university cannot process it the moment) this is the calibre of De montfort university, they dont wish to help you at all and they dont reply to your emails.

  • Radhika Patel

Dear Potential Students, please think carefully before you decide to come to this university! Especially if you are thinking to study Economics. Don`t waste your £9,250 on a university which claims to support its students but in reality very few lecturers are keen to help, some blame their students and claim that if you don`t understand anything it`s probably because you haven`t read your textbook or haven`t attended the lectures and seminars. However, I feel very disappointed as I have done `my bit` as a student but I have been let down because of a particular module which was taught very poorly and has negatively impacted my grades.

  • Aaryan B

The university has good infrastructure but when it comes to academics, it isn't up to that mark. I'm studying at the de Montfort university, but didn't get a good support from my module leader when I asked for help. And the next thing is about the fees. I regularly receive emails from the University to complete my outstanding fees but after payment of fees, they never send me the acknowledgement of the fees received. This really needs to be improved. We are international students and we should know if they have received the fees because we are then more worried about fees than our studies.

  • Jelle Van Sluis

WARNING If you are certain of what career path you want to choose, be VERY careful in choosing courses here, because they are LARGELY generalised. Accounting for accounting students is the same as accounting for entrepreneurship students and etc. Its a shame. Please do not engage in the entrepreneurship course IF you want to start your own business, its just not helpful or worth it. Teachers are very friendly 10/10 and are happy to help you with anything. This review is based solely on the courses, which are not bad, but just so generalised.

  • Octavi 8tor

As someone has already mentioned, the Art degree course leader is always gossiping amongst the students and telling tales about 'specific' students, staff, technicians, and the university management itself. Sour unprofessional covert bullying by a very senior member of staff, stoking up involvement from 'students' where she can't officially be seen to take action herself. Students beware, if you become a teachers 'target'. Everyone on eggshells. #tutors #course #experience #management #staff #professional #lecturers

My MA coursemates and I have been trying to get hold of some sort of payments schedule/information on how to pay/when we need to pay since September. I myself have emailed at least two separate services I was pointed to with no replies, until I very recently got a full year's invoice through saying my payments were overdue. How are we supposed to know how or when we need to pay by if the admin team doesn't even send out schedules or information on these things during induction, when it should be done

  • Dylan Alexander

Imagine, you've just got your A-level results back and you're sifting through your UCAS options, when all of a sudden you get an unconditional offer for De Montford University, Leicester. It sounds posh, it sounds as if quality is expected, this is where it goes wrong. DMU is a cesspool of BTEC Level 2 bricklayers and lecturers that have less qualifications than that fella who runs the kebab place on the way to the coach station. If you want a better learning experience, go literally anywhere else.

  • Dharti Goswami

I rather give nagitive star but there is no option thats y i have to give one star. I am not sure about the university responding to the local students but not being supportive to the international students at all. It is a purely business to charge two times more fees from international students and zero supoort. There was no help regarding my education as well as any other matter regarding students are facing.trying to get help from uni. But not helping at all. Just sending here to there.

  • Burak İlbasan

It's a very bad university. They always getting back to you later messages and emails. I've been trying to get my money back since May. Don't go this university. You will lose both of your money and time. Rude people pay my money back. They cheated me and deleted my registration . I was explained my problem on uni app they suddenly deleted my account and still haven't paid my money. DON'T GO TO THIS UNIVERSTY . I CAN DIE BUT I WILL GET MY REFUND !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Harriet Pearl

Leicester Polytechnic became De Montfort University in accordance with the Further and Higher Education Act in 1992. Polytechnics were notorious third-rate institutions for less able students who didn't have the talent and work ethic to get into university, and De Montfort University continues that tradition. A third rate university if there ever was one, for less able students who want to kill a few years as they don't want to work.

  • Mihir Bhakta

One of the worst institution in terms of money management. I still haven't received my refund from DMU. It's been more than 90 days. The worst University administration i have ever seen. I have tried to reach them 100 times but still haven't received my money. Daljinder gill and Sam Honiball are not replying to my mails after the promised that my refund will be done in 7 days. Students feel like being cheated. Student ID 2752544

  • Jenny Clarke

Dear DMU, I don't know who I should contact. I studied BA accounting and finance from 2002 to 2005. I got a 1:1. Thank you. I am hoping to apply for a master degree and I need two academic references. Could you please advise who I should contact? I can't find my lecturers/tutors at that time in the academic staff list. (I put middle three star here and will review my rating depending on how helpful they are) Best regards Jenny.

  • ujwal patel

This university is having lack of works doesn't reply mail instantly. I got my mail reply after 1 month. They are not having proper work. My advice to international students is instead of taking admission in this university you choose other university for your better carrier. This university is playing games with international students. This is worst university. I am even not giving one star, this university prefers zero star.

  • Lovish chaudhary

Worst university playing with Indian student's life. Do not apply in this university. I applied and got offer then deposit fees after that they reject me by saying that “ risks of student compliance with immigration rule”. They even don’t have a good rejection statement because i am compatible but they don’t want to give admission to indians specifically to north indians. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS UNI.

  • Faryal Waseem

This is rude my sister is an international student , she got admission in this session 2023. She is one week late as she is an international student. Your university is not giving admission to her. This is rude you should understand the problems of an international students. She has paid fee. You should consider her and must understand her reason why she delayed. Visa and ticket takes time.

  • ed breeze

Hey this is a money eating university. They are asking fee despite considering current pandemic situation. They are charging full fee even the classes done in online. They required full fee 8 months before the classes end. Try other universities like teaside. They are giving many consideration to their students such as providing quarantine facilities, food allowances, deductions in fee etc...

  • jaba ajinorah

worst service ever i have been faced before. 3 month before i have send a mail still there is no respond from the university side .i tied to reach almost 5 more mail id ,everywhere same, no response, we request for refund November 4 th after that no respond if university is processed kindly share transaction details ,i never going to suggest this university to anyone .

  • A. A

This university is absolutely shocking. No structure whatsoever within the course, lecturers/ tutors do not care whatsoever about student - Feedback or content support are hardly ever given. If you plan on doing any type of (especially) engineering with this university i do advise please stay away as whole faculty is quite poor. You better off somewhere else...

  • Ph A

Huge transformation has been done last yeast year to make the uni as it's now. To be honest, dmu is going to be one of the best 20 universities in the uk very soon. I'm doing my PhD and the environment there is very good for both local and international students. Strongly recommend you guys to attend during the open days and see what progress dmu has made.

  • Yz Frank

The school environment is very beautiful, but please avoid applying for business school, Mr Fred Mear will give the international students a lower score, which has been confirmed, when other teachers give 65 or higher scores, he will only give us 44 or even Lower. Remember, please do not take the course "ACFI3210" unless you do not want to graduate.

  • Max Salo

MSc in Intelligent Systems and Robotics is very good! Professors are always available if you need help and all of them are competent in their field (all of them holding a relevant PhD). Univeresity is closely linked to business world so chances of employability are high. I cannot judge their undergraduate courses, but this graduate one was great.

  • Bijisha Biju

The opportunity to complete my master's degree here makes me happy. Despite all the barriers, international students can find answers to all of their questions and concerns regarding successfully finishing the course. In addition to a great library experience, there is easy access to academic support and many more opportunities.

  • Nasser Alkaabi

I graduated from the University, and I started in foundation to Graduated. The University was dropping comprehensive in universities ranking; strangely, they have an excellent education team, I will never forget they had gave all support that I needed. I hope that university improve the rank.

  • Alex Higson

Nice campus, but poor learning atmosphere people don't care about their course. Additionally, the courses are made artificially easy to ensure people pass and move on each year. If you want to party away without any responsibility and rack up a ton of student debt this is the place for you!

  • Zain Iftikhar

Its a very beautiful university with beautiful buildings and facilities for students around the campus. University has a very friendly atmosphere. I am studying mechanical engineering and it has been the best experience so far. dmu is among uk's best universities in engineering and Arts.

I had a worst experience with this university finance team. I'm applied for Jan 2022 intake. I got a visa rejection, so I requested for a refunding. It's one year ago still they not gave my fees amount back. Irresponsible finance team. They always drop the call without taking.

  • ramya ys

Would like to give negative stars. Would never recommend this university to anyone. No career support to international students at all. All they are good at is false marketing and giving false directions and hopes to prospect students. Regret going to this place for masters.

  • Hilda Maria

Very worst service . I request for refund in November 4th. There is no response till now. I never going to suggest this university. I want my money. Give me my money. Why sre you so irresponsible. It's almost 5 months. When will you give my money, 4000 pound.make it fast.

  • Wise Wolf91

Less than two months after enrolment, I get a letter saying if I do not pay the second half of my tuition fees within 7 days I will be kicked out of the university. Isn't it great? getting a message like this while at the library trying to do an assignment? Welcome to DMU

  • T T

De Montfort University has got my family, uncles, friends to work acquaintances to where they are in life because of the dedicated staff it invested in. To see all these people doing well in life and acknowledging that it is because of De Montfort University.

  • Matozi Ntuli

The worst application process ever. Had to do everything twice. The single most frustrating process. Seemingly very easy to get into up to interview stage. Its very disappointing from that point. I have had the most disappointing and frustrating experience.

  • fun channel

Anyone going to think about especially international students… don’t study here. They will rob you of your money and wont give you your degree by not even letting you pass. Nobody gets their psw here because of that. Its a trap stay away from this place.

  • Google User

Guys, Do not suggest this uni. Because they need only fee from students. Even this Covid-19 situation, still they are asking fee from students without any mercy. They are charging full fee even the classes going on online. Do not select this university.

  • Birju Patel

A wonderful spot in the centre of Leicester, especially for students as De Montfort University is very close to parks, the river soar, the City Centre, The King Power Stadium (home of Leicester City Football Club), Leicester Tigers Rugby stadium etc...

  • Salma khan

money-making association and capitalist organization. Repetitive teaching methods and repetitive learning materials. Students directly get excluded for late payment they lose their classes as well they won't get to blackboard resources. zero stra

  • Katie Jones

I absolutely adored my time at DMU. The university can be a bit unorganised but any organisation of that size is bound to have a few slips through the cracks. Overall the sense of community and involvement is incredible and its a true home to me.

  • golam morshed

I have heard that this University is good. So I would like to take a chance by applying this University. I would like to study LLM. Would it be possible to let me know about the fees and what are chances of getting offer from this university?

Super nice campus and honestly loved the tutors. Could’ve had better student union parties because they’d say there’s a KrispyKreme party and then we went and it was the deadest music with a little pile of Krispy Kreme’s in the corner

  • Łukasz Stolarczyk

I had a very nice time there and got a First Class in Biomedical Science as well as had an opportunity of doing a Frontrunners internship. I found majority of academic stuff very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed it. …

  • Zahida Hamir

Very dissatisfied my daughter is not getting the help she needs and she feels her work is not being marked fairly and she doesn’t know who to contact for this obviously she mentioned this to her tutor but nothing is being done

  • Eve Ian

Not an everyday sight but everyone was so very welcoming today to my mother in her wheelchair and me. Bless ya socks for being so nice especially at the Riverside Cafe and glass blowers plus the lovely student we chatted too.

  • Cut You

Great place if you’re a white racist. You even get extra credit for attacking POC, but don’t worry about being attacked they’ll nicely remove any non-white people so you can enjoy the simple comforts of a racist institution.

  • Chris

Brilliant University, the one characteristic is has is the lectures help you and will talk to you, they won't be snobby and run out the lecture theatre!. They are your friends and that makes the difference when studying

  • Samuel Oyebanji (Samytheartist)

A brilliant definition of an art school for artists who love to explore and capture moments. It is also a very diverse University where many from different cultures are meeting up with each other, which is amazing

  • Simply Moving

Simply Moving are packing up international students whilst they are out of the country and shipping their goods back wherever in the world they are out storing them till they return. Today, Slovakia and Canada.

  • CHEMIST A

Looks great in the sunshine. Shame they don't let anyone but art students into the Vijay Patel building. Perhaps they have an open day of some kind? If someone from DMU could elaborate that'd be great...

It's a mix between new architecture and old. Some building are very modern whereas some of them have Victorian style of architecture. There's a massive screen on one of the buildings too.

I was very disappointed with the student department, because I had 3 or 4 emails but I didn't get a single answer. So now I am thinking of applying for my study in this university .

  • sathia moorthi

Very slow in response. . Student id not prepared. Never bother to inform. Only upon arrival and calli ng they mentioned will be couriered. Spend so much on jouney and time.

  • Yahia Hussain

Worst experience in teaching i had, lectures were terrible and no support was given when you asked for guidance. Would not recommend. Definely not worth £9000 a year.

  • Mirza Ammar

This is a big diverse University. Lots of facilities, lots of refurbished buildings and now has a real campus feel. Right in the centre of Leicester too.

  • KSI DONJO (The EPIC ONE)

Terrible security. Not safe at all. The security people Do not even look half bothered with incidents. I would recommend finding a different university.

  • Oluwadunny GT (:D)

Don't apply if you are nigerian. You will pay half your tuiton and they will never send you cas. Their international department is a joke.
