Park
"A very small park but good to bring the kids and walk with the dogs"
"I live near Depford and have been in this park for several times"
"Flat and featureless square of grass and mud"
"Outdoor local park perfect huge playground for children and parents"
"Its a lovely park which is very spacious"
A very small park but good to bring the kids and walk with the dogs. Has a playground and it's close by a fence. Unfortunately it's locked at night. On the weekends there's a lot of sports (mostly football) classes.
Playground
Very good Area to bring the kids. Always full
Restrooms
Almost always they are closed. Few times are open
Dog-friendliness
A lot of dogs to play with. But I think half of the park users don't like them. When they are playing football the dogs can't even get near. Despite has a lot of dogs there's no area specific to them, unfortunately.
Picnic area
Thre tables only. But if you like the real picnic at the grass, here is the place. Unless they are not playing football because when they are they take all the park to them
I live near Depford and have been in this park for several times. Each season there are different colors here. The park is spacious, with two sports fields, a children’s playground, and an adult's outdoor gym. There is also a learning centre sitting among the bushes and the colors of the wodhouse is bright and delightful. All the facilities are strong and well-designed, quite suitable for family and group hangouts. ☺️ This is a happy park for residents, visitors, birds, squirrels, and perhaps your dogsand cats.
Playground
There is a children’s playground.
Flat and featureless square of grass and mud. Football pitch is usually flooded although there is workout equipment and children's playground. There are no views Best feature is the flock of green parrots that live there and some nice dogs playing. wheelchair users are likely to be thrown out of their chair as the path has lethal potholes and steep angles that pull you towards the railings. Shameful waste of public space really, could have a maze or a crooked House or camera obscura or something interesting with all that space
Outdoor local park perfect huge playground for children and parents. Amazing greenery for dogs and dog walkers to enjoy ! Massive grass fields in like 3 different sections with funnily enough a sort of an "unspoken rule" if you will where everyone just knows which field is the sports field, picnic side etc. Has facilities available when park keeper is on site and a lovely little nursery located inside.
Its a lovely park which is very spacious. There are many trees and grass across the whole park. It is also usually very quiet and is great for having a relaxing time. The park also has a running/walking track and gym equipments for public use, so also a great place to exercise. The trees in the park have lot of leaves which makes the park full of leaves and creates a great atmosphere.
Lovely park. Been coming here since I was a youngster. Lots of space and stuff for the kids to play on, also has a gym, pingpong table and basketball net. Great for jogging and taking the dog for a walk also. Love this park, hopefully they don't knock it down and replace it with trendy flats like they seem to be doing everywhere else these days.
Outdoor gym, great for joggers, sitters and dog walkers with a decent, children's play area. Lively at weekends with footballers and families and great in the summer for chilling. A flock of paraqueets live in the park and a haunt for wood pigeons. Easy to reach from Canada Water, Surrey Quays and buses 188, 199, 47 and 225 stop nearby.
Nice big green space, with a children's playpark. There's good vibes within this park tbh, it's always a pleasant walk around the paths.
Playground
Decent sized playground
Dog-friendliness
A lot of people come and bring their dogs here. Some off or on the lead, all well behaved imo.
A pretty big park, with lots of space, large trees and shade. I used to go there during the first lockdown to sit and read or draw. It's good for excercise if you like jogging round a big place, or finding a nice spot to work out. Also good for kids, and has a small basketball and football place
With no park keeper in sight on Sundays, the trees on the south side provide an open air toilet and dump site for the football fraternity. This has occured since lock down was lifted last July, with exception during two further lockdowns. Quite sad and disrespectful for the benefits we enjoy.
Jungle gym is in need of some improvement. Not designed with the human body in mind. Why would I want to sit on an exercise bike with no resistance so that the pedals just go round and round like wheee. Made me feel like an idiot with super strength. Didn't really get any exercise out of it
Lovely local park. It's quite small but has a little of everything. There is an open air gym and q large children's play area. There are toilets which can be used only if the warden is there to let you in. It's well maintained and has a track all the way round which is great for running
Good place for kids to play, not sure if a cafe is there but it would be beneficial. Only drawback is some minor maintenance and general housekeeping with regard to broken planks surrounding some of the play areas and rubbish in and around. We would still visit frequently though.
Grand seating outside Deptford Market Yard area post-lockdown. Do be aware of appropriate clothing if it is not late May, June, July, August, early September. 1 unisex toilet serving all the under railway arches bars requires advance planning of your intended toilet pitt stops!
Small park, good for running. Nice playground for the kids, some exercise machines unfortunately often occupied with kids playing on them. Football field in the middle. Nice place to sit down in the summer as the trees offer some shade. Quiet despite being next to busy road.
I usually deliver orders around Deptford Park. In my own saying about the experience I have encountered, I must say that the settings of Deptford Park and the areas around it need a little bit improvement in different areas that entails mostly on the area settings!
A very clean and quiet park. A park surrounded by leafy green trees. You can have a good and relaxing time in this park. However, it may not remain as quiet considering all the developments and structures going up around it. Highly recommended for now!
Really nice park. Lots of green space to play ball games etc. Park has a sand pit and 2 slides. A few benches for us adults. They also have a very unique swing set just outside the play area gate which is really cool. We enjoy this park quite a bit.
Deptford Park used to be a market garden belonging to the estate of the Evelyn family. London County Council bought the land in 1884 to create a public park. Near to the main entrance you can see the sculpture Blue Iridescence by Heather Burrell.
Love my early morning walk in thus park. Try jogging sometimes but some part of the walking route is cracked and uneven. Making my leg hurt, overall it is a good park for walks, need to create dog area so that they are not in our way.
Very nice park with outdoor gym, play area, football facilities. Nice trees and meadow planting, well-used by friendly local runners, dog-walkers, footballers and, weather permitting, sunbathers. Great neighbourhood amenity.
It's a good place to go for a run or to play ball games. There is a playground but we didn't try it out due to risks of Covid. It must be great for the people who live locally to just go and relax but it's pretty basic.
Lovely local park. Has a kids playground, outdoor gym and a path all the way around to run (roughly 1km). Plenty of grass to play sports or picnic and some nice talks tress with parakeets in if you prefer the shade.
Great park, has a play park.. fields to have picnics or play rounders and has the free gym too.. also has a free mummy and toddler activity on weekdays in the little building in front of the play park.
The park is well maintained, it's fairly clean. Because of the openness of the park anti social behaviour is far less. But you are also much better prepared with better visibility. (ie moped riders)
This park feels much bigger than it looks like on the map. It's a great place to visit, as it feels like you are leaving the city. There is also a big playground, and an exercise area for adults.
Flat featureless and boring except on windy days when there is a chance of a tree branch falling on your head if you stick to the crumbling path. Wheelchair users beware of being tipped over.
Definitely changed over the years .. amazing park which has everything a community needs .. outdoor gym .. kids playing area .. soft indoor play.. restrooms.. space for dogs .. etc..
Not as good as it used to be, graffiti on trees, people using BBQ on the grass, full bins with litter on the ground, but still a nice enough place to chill in the sun for a few hours
It isn't the best park but it's kinda alright for kids to play for a bit and have some walk around the park... good exercising area as well which is the best part of the park....
A nice park full of trees and interesting shrubs for kids to enjoy. Park for children, park gym for adults and public toilets. Toilets are only open when park ranger is on duty.
Most of the gorgeous plane trees seem to have almost recovered and are looking healthier. Leaves now dropping because of autumn rather than drought. Always worth a stroll here.
It's an OK park with a playground for kids, open fields for sports, but comparing to other parks in London it's not very well looked-after: the grass is not always cut.
My go to place for a jog in the morning.
Playground
Also has a play area, where you could take your children to and a nice open space for a picnic.
Great park for kids, lots for them to play on. A few picnic tables and benches to sit on near to the play area. Public toilets are a let down though, were very dirty.
It has a great outdoor gym with over 10 different exercise machines for a full body workout. Pleasant space and footballers have matches on it in the afternoon.
Lovely decent sized park with playground suited to different age group's. Public toilets and there is a catetaker on site.plenty seating area around park.
Cosy park. Plenty of trees and the sorts. It has: benches, toilets, free gym equipment, kids playground and grass A few flowers too during summer. …
Green space with mature trees, football pitch, outdoor gym and kids play area. The play area is large and contains a good selection of play equipment.
This is a lovely wee park with a nice play group on site. It doesn't have any outside toilets which puts vulnerable ppl at risk otherwise it's great
Perfectly nice little suburban park with room for football players, children's playground, circuit path for joggers and space to just sit and relax.
Nice big park with play area for kids. Lots of people walking dogs and football matches and training going on here. Also outdoor gym equipment.
The great thing about London is that it has so many parks and green spaces Deptford park is relaxing. Great place for all the family to enjoy.
The park of the ages.. I grew up in this park, little has changed in 30+ years, just some cool modernisation. Little leauge on a Sunday
Not big, not impressive, but it is quiet and you can always find a bench to read, look around or just rest. Good kids playground area.
Beautiful variety of trees, evergreens & shrub's. Astounding given there age. I'm guessing 300yrs at least. …
Lovely local park for kids and adults alike. There's an outdoor gym in excellent condition but the play area needs to be refurbished.
Lovely park for meeting up with friends. For the kids there is a play park and if you're feeling fit an exercise area with apparatus.
Large play area for not only the kids, grown up kids a also welcome. Clean area to enjoy a family picnic or fly a kite. Very nice.
I wouldn't recommend it as place to visit for its own merits but it is green space and green spaces are wonderful just by existing
Nice park to relax with the kids especially during summer. The gym equipments are a plus, great park to walk a dog. It is clean
Love to be here in summer. Lots of greens. Well maintained, clean area. My kid loves to play here, play area is big and clean.
This park is so much more relaxing than Southwark Park in the summer - really chilled out and an excellent spot for a picnic.
A good park and community centre with recent upgrades. Should be safe as it is overlooked on 3 sides by residential property.
Small but nice park with a lot of facilities. Football playground, kids playground, musculation, several fitness machines...
Big park, good for jogging-about a mile jogging round, play area for children and a mini gym also green area for football
Loads for the kids to play on here. Toilets available too. Cud do with a water fountain for the kids but liked it here.
Nice spacious park with area for kids to play, a workout section. Nice trimmed grass, perfect for chilling with family
Lovely space, great for a few laps on my bike and a nice chill out on the grass especially with the nice weather today
It's ok during the day. Different story walking after the sun goes down. Lights are not lit enough to feel 100% safe
I love walking my dog here, its a very square park so good visibility. And your always bound to see a parquet bird.
It's so bad what a waste of space, it could be a nice little park, would need a lot doing to it, Nice people there.
Very spacious and wide with lost of shops nearby and free parking all around. Nice day out with family and friends
A very compact park which is a good location to have a quick walk away from the bustle of the surrounding traffic
Big enough park to exercise and walk your dog. There's some exercise machines and soon a cricket pitch …
Lovely place to relax and watch the swans in the pool it's in the process of renovation still a lovely place
Its small and scruffy however it is a green space in the heart of London and I'm sure locals are glad of it.
Good playground for the kids but some equipment are broken. A lot more dogs running around off there leash.
The park is a very quite place, freely to explore with your little ones. And also very ideal for work out.
Really nice park with alot of seats. Park also has a big field for football or just laying on the ground
Nice Park for ball games walking the dog and there's a sand pit, swings, slide, excise equipment aswell.
This is a lovely park a real haven away from all the traffic and polution from the very busy main road
Lovely park for children, not much for younger ones, toddlers or babies, just swings. But lovely park
Nice park with some good benches, the floor is a bit uneven if you are doing some sports activities.
Nice to see so many kids football teams practicing again! Lots of people there jogging and relaxing!
Plenty of space to be alone or with company . Also excersize and regular football games on weekends.
Small park , nic for a walk but it is mainly for locals. Nothing special to see there as a tourist.
Great green space with children's play are and outdoor gym. Plenty of space for team games too!!
Large public space, good for outdoor sports. My kids really enjoy the playground area as well.
An open space in London, used to have a great sand pit for kids, not sure if it's still there.
Not a good ground to play Very bad council which doesn’t take care for these fields at all
BBall court is a bit on the small side. Don't expect any proper games: close shots only
Great outdoor gym facilities with a grass pitch, large grassland and an enticing park.
Green and clean. Playground for kids with 3 slides and others. Good place for picnic.
It's small and run down. Having said that I'm sure residents are pleased to have it.
Great for adults and kids alike. Get your workout in while kids play. Its a win!!!
Nice park for kids but no toilets anymore they closed 2018.Another victim of cuts!
Just a nice place place for a picnic or family event in the spring and summer time
Trying hard with a pleasant small park. Lots of room for football not many flowers
Loads of space... nice to relax on nice sunny day... perfect for families can bbq
Nice clean open space. Good for a jog or walking the dog. Just off the main road
Very nice large and tidy park! Can do alot of activities here! Plenty of space!
We went to shopping walk though park with twin and daughter enjoyed nice relax.
Nice place to go with kids, plenty of space and loads of free parking as well
Great place to relax and enjoy nature; to plan events and outdoor activities.
Play club is great for small children. Play area is nice and has sandy area.
Small park, perfect for a short walk or taking some sunbaths when possible.
Lovely park, well used. Maybe needs alittle lighting for the early evenings
