The staff was attentive, friendly, and well-versed in the menu, making excellent recommendations. They ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch. Dessert at Desert Lotus was a delightful surprise. The Mango Sticky Rice and Thai Iced Tea were the perfect sweet endings to our meal. Overall, Desert Lotus is a must-visit for anyone looking to savor authentic Thai cuisine in Abu Dhabi. Desert Lotus, a Thai restaurant nestled in Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi, is an absolute hidden gem. Our experience was elevated by Monna, our delightful waitress, who consistently wore a warm smile and provided impeccable service. We started our meal with delicious appetizers of fresh rolls and sushi, which set the perfect tone for the feast to come. For our main courses, we savored the rich flavors of the masaman beef and the delightful spice of the Pad Pong Kari. To complement our meal, we enjoyed refreshing drinks including Long Island iced tea and Aperol spritz. The food was exceptionally delicious, prompting us to revisit within just two weeks. In fact, my wife insists on making it a weekly tradition, as we both share a deep love for Thai cuisine. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor from afar, this exceptional establishment comes highly recommended.

The location is in the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or just a scenic detox. Restaurant ambience is quite nice, spacious and good tones of purple colours. The staff are quite nice. Emmanuel, Toon and Mary served us and all are absolutely fantastic. Very well mannered, proactive and professional. 5 star employees. Very hygienic and a clean place. Shout out to the chefs for a tasty treat, all the dishes were prepared freshly, hot, with a good presentation and the time to prepare was not long. Overall quite happy with everything, definitely recommended and will definitely come back. Keep up the good work. Well done chefs and staff.

Hands down recommend this restaurant. Super pretty interiors, awesome views and some really good Thai food sums up this place. The Thai curries were really good and spot on so was the papaya salad and a beef starter (tried by folks). The mango sticky rice was less loved and I feel the rice could’ve been better but when served with such happy faces and the overall experience it wasn’t much of a let down. The staff were all good, knowledgeable about anything asked (which we did as we wanted to know about 2 specific ingredients) If you’re looking for a licensed place they do serve alcohol and also have a Happy Hour menu which has beers and wine at approx 25/35! Honestly, this is my favorite Thai restaurant which I always bring all my friends, family and colleagues to visit this amazing restaurant. I am so glad to present them that this is Thai food served by Thai chefs. Their Japanese food is also the best. The ambience of the restaurant is amazing surrounded by the sea views. All the staffs were trained well to serve us the best service. The price was reasonable. They do have alcohol as well. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.

Good food with great views and even greater service. The food is tasty and the portions as you can see big enough. My main dish was too spicy (even though my Tom Yum - supposedly with the same spiciness level in the menu - was ok ‍♀️) but the waiters offered multiple times to take it back and bring me another one. I didn't change it because I was already full, but they brought me some complimentary milk tea to make it better. In general the service there was so cool and polite and tried to do their best to satisfy us. Respect.

Great Thai food restaurant located in albandar. Great service, great team and amazing food. Lots of options Thai and Japanese. The service is quick. The portions are good for sharing. LOVED desert lotus, would highly recommend to anyone who’s looking to get amazing Thai/Japanese food at reasonable prices! The servers were so kind and accommodating; we were a group of five and had to divide into two tables, so they divided each dish between two plates and brought them to us separately. That’s why the portion sizes in the photos seem smaller. The ambiance of the restaurant is quite amazing as well, beautiful and nice and clean with an amazing view of the bay. If you’re looking for a good place to brunch during the weekend, this is it. Just make sure to reserve beforehand!

It was my first time here. They have this Unlimited Sushi Night every Thursday. It’s been a while since I had unlimited sushi and this place offers fresh, clean, and delicious Japanese food. And it’s a great value for money. The package includes unlimited appetizers, unlimited soft beverages, and a complimentary dessert. Bonus points for the ambiance and the view!

As a Thai person, I can say that this restaurant is great. First of all the overall atmosphere and view are magnificent. The restaurant is set up in an amazing location. The service was top notch. The owner and staff were very nice . They took so many pictures for us lol. The food was so good. The Japanese roll was fantastic and the Thai food was amazing. It was very authentic and extremely similar to amazing restaurants in Thailand. The overall experience was exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The staff are super kind and the manager is also very kind The food comes quickly and it is delicious there is no other restaurant as amazing as desert lotus. The kids have expanded their appreciation for flavours and eat sushi and the hot stuff!!! Overall, it's the best restaurant ever!

Wow, so impressed! I am Thai and always been to visit Desert Lotus for dine-in because I love their ambiance and Seaview. Today is my first time that I ordered deliver and called to the restaurant directly … I ordered my favorite Pad Thai shrimps, Pad Kapao chicken (hot basil) not only the real authentic Thai taste I got. But the food were so hot and top quality… can’t thank enough for this tasty food with such amazing service❤️

Very nice setting and ample space inside. Very good service! The waiter Mai had no notepad and remembered all our order with 5 people, with starters and all. The sushi was very good but wasn't excellent. I didn't like the fish cakes too much, but the calamaris were very good. The red curry was also very good. The banana desert is very tasty also, I definitely recommend it. The menu is quite large but it has pictures (online menu), which really helps. I'll definitely be back!

I organised my daughters birthday, sushi classes for 9-11 years old. What an amazing experience. The setup, the team, the chefs, all took care so well of the girls, they offered them an amazing experience. What can I say, beyond any expectation. The way they took care of us, was impecable. I was there for lunch on nice Friday Emma recommend the outdoor sitting which was very good choice in this time of the year. This is really 5 stars in everything. I had Thai papaya salad, Chicken Gyoza, spider roll and fried banana all is sooo tasty and served with love. Emanuel served me today he was very nice, polite and proffisional. The food is spectacular! We had both Japanese and Thai dishes. The sushi is really fresh, bursting with flavors. The satay appetizer was plenty and yum! Thai green curry (mild) was wonderful, the rice cooked to perfection. Servers were extremely friendly and full of attention to detail. Great location and nice views.

Great setting and service to go with good food. Sushi night is a reasonable price and they don't tack on nonsense charges. It's all in. Ala carte great as well. I'm not a dessert guy, but the fries banana was excellent!!

AMAZING RESTAURANT - the food is fantastic and priced well, the cocktails are so good and cheap (~45AED before discounts), the location is beautiful, and best of all - the service is super friendly. Some of the best Thai food in the UAE - highly recommend the Pad Pong Kari - and the sushi is excellent. Must visit in AD!

Amazing first dine in. Jenny was my waitress and she was kind with a smile. The sizzling pepper beef was perfectly seasoned, the atmosphere was top notch (views of the water and Yas Island) and the music was a vibe...jazz of familiar pop and RnB hits.

Really enjoyed the food and the view. The place has a great ambiance. Highly recommended. You need to reserve a table in advance in order to sit near the window to really enjoy the view, especially in the evening. Their Pad Thai was really nice, recommended. The staff was quite friendly and polite.
