Amazing location. Really beautiful views right on the beach directly across from it and very close walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Rooms were interesting I had a bottom floor room and my family had a second floor room both facing the beach, there was a big difference in these rooms. Loved the really big windows they both had though. Nice little balconies for watching the waves crashing. My room was lacking in amenities there was a desk but no designated eating table, very little bowls, spoons etc. Nice tall roof height gave the room a good vibe though. Only had coffee satchels and black tea which was disappointing even very cheap motels usually have green tea or decaf coffee as an option too. No bar fridge options. No sanitary bags provided or shower caps. TV remote in our room was very very hard to get to work, buttons had been so used the print on all the buttons had worn away. Our tv just had regular channels but the TV upstairs had Youtube and Netflix available.

If you’re looking for an affordable room right by the Coogee beach, Dive is great option, but if you want a four-star experience you’ll be disappointed. We enjoyed our stay and it suited our needs as a couple on a road trip. We were able to wash some clothes, refreeze the elements for our cooler, and refill our water container. The room was spacious, except for the bathroom, and the bed was as big and comfortable. However, the hotel does not fulfil the expectations of a four-star hotel and was a bit worn down (e.g. missing tiles in the shower). We didn’t have breakfast as it was unclear what food was provided by the hotel and what was bought by guests and placed in the communal fridge. The location was great.

The look really nice does not look like the photos advertised on the website. Faulty towers vibes. The room above us had a party the two nights we stayed there, that kept us awake into the small hours. The manager was the best part of our stay. The air-conditioning in our room was just spitting out ice and no cooling air. The manager swapped our room as the party above us was that bad. we thought they'd come through the ceiling, we got a room with air-conditioning that cold it woke us up freezing, but we had a good night sleep. The views were amazing, and the manager was great. Wouldn't stay again. Sorry, coogee dive hotel ! I give you a 1 star rating.

Loved the easy location and ocean view room. Little balcony looking over the beach was perfect for afternoon drinks. Big comfy bed, clean. Bathroom is cramped and needs better ventilation, more towels and somewhere to hang them to dry. There were no pictures on the walls or mats on the floor, which seemed a bit sparse but that’s just a cosmetic thing. We enjoyed our visit to Coogee, parked the car and didn’t drive again until we left. Everything is right there.

I have stayed here a few times in the past but won't be staying here again. The position, across the road from the beach, is great and the previous owners really operated the hotel well and also kept the building maintenance up. Now there is no breakfast offered, the rooms are really looking tatty (missing tiles in the shower, cracks in the ceiling, floorboards need a paint, couch in the room is torn etc etc? It's disappointing that such a great place to stay has slipped so much.

A good location doesn't rectify a very underwhelming and somewhat misrepresented experience. The rooms are a decent size, but filled with cheap fixtures and bland furniture. The aloof atmosphere is more reminiscent of a derelict hostel rather than anything remotely "boutique".

Staff were Incredibly generous. I asked for a late checkout (I had a flight at 9pm) and they let me have the room till 5! If you can get the balcony or beach view room (other rooms feel a little bit more like backpacker accom) you will have the best spot in Coogee at a reasonable price.

Irfan the receptionist is warm and welcoming. We’ve stayed here twice and we will return. The location is great, we added parking (for additional cost) and the room we stayed at was clean and comfy. It’s a nice relaxed place and it will definitely be a place I’ll be coming back to. Thanks Dive Hotel :) More

Love the place. Bed and breakfast atmosphere. Nice rooms and well kept. All their staff is nice and love the large poodle dog. Right across the street from the beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Bus terminal is across the street too. Easy access to the city center, about 40 minutes by bus.

Great location, close to everything that we needed. We got a room with balcony which was nice and cozy. The entrance of the building is a bit old with carpet floors and narrow stairs but the rest of the facilty is actually very nice. Great kitchen and outdoor area! More

When I tried to book on line, at payment time, I got a pop up message saying the transaction could not be processed. The transaction then appeared three times on my bank listing, and I've not been able to get a response to my emails since More

We really had a great stay in this hotel .. Owners treating you like a family very friendly , they don't see u as a guest but they see you like a family or friends .. Very homey I must say .. If you visit coogee Sydney in your future trip

Location location location!! The hotel is nothing fancy but has everything you need, and the location is PERFECT! Walk out the front door, cross the street onto Coogee beach, 2 mins walk from bars, restaurants and shops (no parking).

It's a small and cosy hotel. It is near Coogee Beach. It takes only 2 minutes to walk to the beach. Staffs here are very friendly and helpful, just like many Australians I had met. My daughter especially loves the dog Luca

We enjoyed our stay. It is a very easy, friendly, well organised place. The rooms are comfortable, clean, quiet with good hot showers. The hotel is ideally located being both opposite the beach and the bus stop to

Bit of a stretch calling this place a hotel, $260 for a glorified backpackers hostel. Rooms are bang average for the price as are the amenities. Keep your money and stay at the Crowne up the road. More

Great location accommodation reminds me of English B&B's very small bathrooms, great beds. Most rooms don't have views. Try to book front rooms.
