I am writing to express my anger and disappointment with Dr Islam for his failure in duty of care for his patient. My neighbour hads been going to see him for at 8 years and his health has been unwell and although Dr Islam send him to have scan based on request by my neighbour who suffered from recent loss of his wife and have been complaining of pain on his lower back for at least 3 years and recently the pain has gone down his leg and he finds it difficult to walk. He had a dull cough and off and on and I therefore asked my neighbour to get a cut chest but he was only prescribed with chest X-ray. His X-ray results has been out now for about a week we still didn’t hear from his clinic. For his pain on lower back and hips I have asked my neighbour to request for ct lumbar and ultrasound on both hips. When the results is out D.R. Islam did not do further investigation or referred him to a specialist for his condition. My neighbour blood test in the past years had shown his kidney function is dropping and again he didn’t do further investigation. His recent X-ray results shows he might have lungs cancer and still no news from Dr Islam. I took my neighbour to another Gp last Friday and the new Gp did ct chest and abdominal and we found out that he have lungs cancer that had spread to his adrenal glands and bones on his hips. New Gp have since referred him to oncology on the same day. If Dr Islam have done more thorough investigation and show his duty of care for his patient my neighbour condition will be picked up much earlier on and not reach this stage. I don’t know how come he gets good rating for his service but for me he failed as a doctor and will not recommend him to anyone and will give a zero star if I can.

Whilst I used to love the treatment here. And receptionist Kathy is great, since most the practice is now private billing, they are just rude and full of greed. Dr Theja Seneviratne is the poorest excuse of a doctor. She is all about the dollar rather looking after patients and doing simple requests for patients. She'll be so greedy that for her to try earn and extra dollar, she'll try to get you to book another appointment for her just to get a simple referral. She's a disgrace in the industry. Secondly, Dr Malini Colombage was supposed to resolve this issue instead cause Theja was useless, turns out, so was colombage. She was going home early that day so she couldn't care less and told me she can't help me and to go back to my original GP,(I was on the search for a new one) She said she wouldn't help also cause she couldn't see my records on my health, another lie as I've made my records visible for all GPs, she just wanted to go home. Absolute joke. NEVER GOING BACK. MONEY HUNGRY A******S IN RESPONSE TO YOUR ANSWER BELOW: It's besides the point. Refusing to help me unless I booked in another session with the unhelpful Dr Theja, it's disgraceful to do that to a patient just to get extra money out of the patient. It's the principal, which your practice would no longer have, principals. Stop defending and just do better. All your bad reviews, you simply defend. Take the feedback and do something constructive for once.

Nice enough. Never had to wait long etc. But have been to see doctor Ahmed on 3 different occasions. I was given a perscription for medication each time when I was literally 3 words into my story explaining what was wrong, still in the process of sitting down. Happened every time. After I tried to elaborate he would just talk over me ‘it’s ok, it’s ok, take this, take this’ handing me the perscription. Consult would last 1.5-2mins at most, And I’d be walking out not feeling any better about the pain/issues. Physically or mentally. My partner had also been perscribed a strong anti inflammatory by doctor Ahmed for sciatic pain. When collecting, the pharmacist told her she could not take it with the anxiety medication she was on. It could have caused major side effects/nausea ‘Your doctor should known this?’ She was told. The Pharmacist then called the doctor and explained. He just changed it to a different pill. When asked by the pharmacist why it was perscribed to her to begin with, when medical records are there on screen? He replied with. ‘Must have been overlooked’ — if that seriously is a docotors answer when it comes to people’s health, it’s pretty clear they don’t really care.. Pharmacist was also concerned and said would make enquiry. I’m not a huge fan of GPs for the reasons above plus more, and unfortunately will need to continue to look for a doctor that can at least fein interest in my health.

I have never been treated so poorly as a human being till today - by Dr. Malini Colombage. She took a Hippocratic oath to treat patients or so I thought and this accusation should be taken very seriously. I have been to the clinic before but was told she was too busy to take on new patients and told me to go to my normal doctor. Well I could not get an appointment with my normal doctor for weeks and had a issue that needed a doctors attention today which is why I made an appointment to see a doctor. She refused to treat me. Wasted my time and made me feel worthless and not valued. I have never been so disgusted in my life. I would like someone to explain to me why she is working there if she can't treat patients and why the staff book patients in to her?? I have also read reviews and I am not the first patient to be treated like this. She needs to be removed from this position if she is taking on patients and not treating them. Dr. Malini Colombage is an absolute disgrace and she should not be treating patients or anyone for that matter is she is so dismissive and busy to take on patients (her own words). I would like to be contacted by the Practice Manager or someone more senior before I consider take further action.

My fiancé has been to this centre today.i would say this centre service very unprofessional . He has informed them he is there for his appointment !! he was waiting for nearly 50 minutes !!Why do you need appointment then if you want your patients to wait such a long hours . Secondly receptionist (Asian looking lady )she was very disrespectful towards him and been treated very rude . As he looks Asian doesn’t mean she has been given any rights to treat him rude, unprofessional and racist. I’m Australian citizen taxpayer in Australia regardless non of us shouldn’t be treated in this way . Brown skin doesn’t mean that you have been given any official right to treats them badly . She has introduced her as Miki ( I don’t no wether it’s right name or not ) i want management to address her poor and unprofessional behaviour and I’m waiting from feed back if this not been addressed I’m happy to take this to HCC.

So unhelpful. Would give 0 stars if I could. Dr Ahmed was very dismissive about the patients problems and feels like he doen't take you seriously. He cuts you off before you can even finish telling your story. He just precribes you random medication that's not even relevant to your problem. Appointments are never over 5mins because he doesn't carefully listen and just wants you out the door ASAP. I started going to this clinic because the wait time is shorter, but now I understand why it's always so quiet in here after seeing his service. If you don't want to waste your time, I recommend you to visit a different GP who will genuinely listen to your problems and help you out.

My family has been seeing Dr. Islam for several years now and he has been great. I would particularly like to commend the practice (& Dr Islam) for their ability to squeeze in my daughter twice under borderline emergency situations. Once when she was a few weeks old and stopped feeding we were able to see Dr. Islam within hours when our (then) usual GPs couldn't fit her in. Secondly more recently Dr. Islam saw her under very short notice following an allergic reaction again other GP clinics could only see her the mid the next day. We would definitely recommend this practice to others

I went there to see my GP, but unfortunately she has moved to another center, so I had to see Dr. Malini Colombage. She started to ask questions like an investigator, shouting, and before I finished my answers, she interrupted me for the next question. She is not knowledgeable at all, as she couldn't diagnose; she said, "I don't take you as my patient and go see another doctor." I was not interested in seeing you too. I couldn't believe how rude a doctor could be. If you can't do your job, go and retire; let others come with better behavior.

Dr Islam is always very accommodating doing extra things for my elderly father like filling his routine medication charts required by his retirement accommodation in order to prepare his Webster packs, happily reissuing all his scripts (10+) because I felt he would be better looked after by a different pharmacy and just generally being an attentive, caring doctor to my father. My mother also now sees him. I highly recommend him and his clinic. FP

The receptionist was friendly. Once I saw the doctor for tingling in my right little finger and ring finger he didnt ask any questions or examine me, he quickly concluded I needed an MRI. He believed I had an issue with my nerve centre above the vertebrae. I was disappointed with his service and it was a very short consultation. I sought a second opinion and was given the diagnosis of a compressed nerve. I will not go here again.

My fiancé booked at this practice by accident 4 years ago and since then we’ve kept coming back. Such an amazing practice, never have to wait too long for our appoints. Dr Islam is an incredible doctor, he listens and he cares, he genuinely wants to help. He’s seen my family through so many mental and physical medical issues over the years. We also see him for the care of our now 13 month old daughter. Couldn’t be happier

The GP I visited was not professional. I asked for a report to say what happened to me, just plain fact; the presenting symptoms and the tests I did etc. He said I was taking advantage of his kindness. The accusation literally came out of nowhere and took me by surprise. The GP even said I was getting agitated, which I was not. Now thinking back I do feel quite upset coz I came here for help, not being abused.

Dr Malini Colambage has been my doctor for over 20 years since I saw her her at Yarra Junction, she has always been caring and professional to the point that when she left Yarra Junction I have followed her to each practice she has worked at. I now drive from Warburton to Brandon Park to see her as she is the only Doctor I have ever had that really cares. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about her!

I reluctantly booked an appointment online thinking it was the doctor's downstairs, which I've been to and vowed never to return to because they've been terrible on all occasions. However was desperate so booked anyway. Turns out I booked at the doctors upstairs. Was pleasantly surprised as the doctor was extremely helpful and professional. It's bulk bill and l didn't wait long. Highly recommended.

Dr. Islam and the whole Doctors at Brandon Park’s staff has been taking care of our family for several years now. No complaints and only good things to say about their dedication to work and their patients. Everyone is very caring, accomodating and patient. Amanda, the practice manager, is very helpful and efficient with what she do. Thank you and pls continue your good work and service.

I was waiting for more than 40 mins while doctor was having her lunch??? I am a health professional and I know its important for doctor to have break and meal.However, they should not have meal at appointment time, the medical centre should cancel lunch time appointment and give them a break. Then doctor wont have excuse that they spend more time for previous patient which she did not.

Such a pleasure to deal with.. I recently moved to Glen Waverley and needed a new GP, I’ve spoken to all the doctors there and they all do a phenomal job at listening, diagnosing and following up. The ladies out front are such a pleasure to deal with, they are so professional, caring and friendly. Makes visiting the doctors a lot more bareable

Dr Ahmed Fareed was not very thorough and consultation was rushed (despite being the only patient in the waiting room). Did not do a good job of explaining things, even after prompted for more information by me asking questions. Would not recommend visiting here unless it is an absolute last resort.

I just want to start by saying that the reception staffs are nice, polite and helpful and Dr Islam is the most empathetic GP I have seen in Australia. He listens patiently and explains clearly what needs to be done. I am so glad to have consulted him for my recent medical problem.

Great service at the clinic always. I have been visiting this clinic and I always got attended to immediately. Staff are super friendly and booking appts is a breeze. Not only that, Dr. Fareed has solved my long standing hay fever problem and I could not be happier!

Neat and Tidy clinic tucked away near the Reject shop at Brandon Park Shopping Centre. Doctor Islam is highly recommended and is a very friendly doctor with great care who explains things very well. Never had long waiting times at this place.

Called in without an appointment, the receptionist was so lovely, she said the Dr was running early and she would be happy to fit me in. The Dr was very nice, and l left the surgery very satisfied with the whole experience.

Very experienced doctors who actually listen to your problems in detail and don’t rush. Dealt with Dr Fareed, who was very kind and easy to talk to. Will definitely go back and I highly recommend this clinic.

The doctors are often on time and are nice to speak to most of the time however I have on multiple occasions now had a doctor tell me incorrect information about what we were discussing.

I would never go there again. The doctor was absolutely horrible. He shouldn't be in the medical profession. I only gave 1 star as I had to to be able to post the review.

The Doctor take your health very seriously. No nonsense, clear medical planning and health management. The doctor is very comprehensive. Highly recommend this practice.
