STAY AWAY FROM THIS HAIR SALON! THE WORST HAIR SALON IN MELBOURNE! NEVER GO TO DOMINICS SALON FOR HAIR EXTENSIONS. NEVER GO TO DOMINICS SALON TO HAVE HAIR EXTENSIONS MAINTAINED! Two weeks ago, I booked an appointment at Dominics Hair Salon in the south eastern suburbs of Narre Warren Westfield Shopping Centre. When I called to make a booking I asked the attendant on the phone (Kirsty) if they offering hair extension maintenance for tape hair, she said yes. I asked for a price on tape hair extension reset, and provided how many tapes I have, length etc. I was told $200. I booked the appointment in. Day of the appointment. I show up, immediately greeted (tick). Kirsty said I was with Genny today and she will consult me, and provide a price for todays service. I clarified that i was quoted $200 when I called to make a booking the week before and she said yes, ohh. that was me. it might be abit more and walked off! Nonetheless, I sat down, Genny the hair dresser approached (who is extremely nice as a person) and began consulting. I advised a new set of hair extensions that I have had done overseas that require a reset. I dont want them cut. They have been styled and I have had them cut correctly. I just want a reset, exactly the same. Genny advised that she was able to do it. but might need to cut my extension. I reconfirmed that is not what I wanted, as defeats the purpose of hair extension, I have never had my extensions constantly cut at a maintenance appointment, therefore, no cut. Are you able to provide a reset to have the same result as today? yes. they filtered through my hair and were extremely complimenting to the colour, finish at result. They (Emily and Genny) confirmed they could provide a hair extension maintenance.This is where it went down hill. Emily provides a beautiful head wash service and was guided by senior hair dresser Genny. They removed my tape hair extensions. We agreed and discussed to place the hair extensions in sections/piles to ensure they are pieced together accurately and placed back accurately. As I am facing the mirror, I am unable to see what is occurring behind me, but they placed the extensions on the trolley, and confirmed its all okay.I was sent off to the basin. I did advise on the phone and asked if they are a Kerastase salon, I was told yes. At the basin, I told Emily I used kerastase and which products. She was directed to use the basin shampoo (not kerastase) and mix it with BAKING SODA to remove tape hair extensions glue! In the past and current, Normally salons use conditioner and comb it out, not home job bi carb! My hair bonding treatment I had overseas was stripped away! I was taken back to the desk, hair dried with no heat protectant. Prior to commencing hair extensions placement reconfirmed the extensions were being placed back in the same way.I was told yes. My hair extensions were being placed in. Half way through I could feel my head feeling very heavy in one place so I asked how is it all going? I was reassured its fine. shortly there after, I saw the longest piece of hair being placed in my hair, and i again asked where is that going? the longest pieces were at the front for a fringe (money bangs) oh no its okay its at the back. ill cut them in! i have to cut them in! I trusted Genny, and whilst we were happily chatting Away, I believed in her and her work. At the end of the hair extensions maintenance. Genny pulled my hair forward. I asked to see my hair in the mirror, Genny said I dont know how youre going to see it properly but here. I have to cut them in! TO MY DISGUST AND COMPLETE SHOCK! MY HAIR WAS CLUMPED, PLACED IN ONE TRIANGLE SPOT AT THE BACK, NO SIDE PIECES, UNEVEN DISTRIBUTION AND LAYERS, SHORT AND LONG PIECE WERE MIXED TOGETHER!!! I HAD A UNEVEN V SHAPE, FROM A FLAWLESS ONE LENGTH 22 INCHES! HOW!!!!!! I didn't even bother asking for a finish off! I was told JUST $200 FOR TODAY! I received a refund, offered to send photos/come in. manager didn't even bother (like she knew). There was no follow up or apology or solution offered. Disgusting!

The most disgusting customer service I’ve ever seen. My mum does not speak fluent English, so the stuff members were very rude and racist towards her. My mum had shown them an inspo picture of the hair she wanted and they had told her that they were able to do it Which they absolutely stuffed up, when my mum spoke up they told her they cant do anything about it. They then told her to come in on Saturday at 12:30 and they’ll try to fix it with toner which my mum agreed to even tho they said they’ll have to charge her. When my mum went they told her that they were busy and that they can’t actually do it. My mum was confused as to why they told her to come back if they couldn’t do it after going back and forth they agreed to put toner in her hair like the original plan. They then went to the cleaner lady at the salon who brings coffee and cleans the floor to do my mums hair. They were laughing at her and making fun of her because she isn’t fluent in English. After feeling disrespected by the staff my mum left crying because of how rude they were towards her. They also charge her $220 for absolutely nothing! Do not go to this salon what so ever.

Hi , just wanted to let everyone know I have visiting this shop more than 7 years and always have best and quality service from qualified barbers, specially GK , he is magnificent and skilled full worker , never put me down last few years, specially my son he loves having hair cut from him , and I am going this shop only because of this man , hats off GK , I believe you’re hidden gem for your owners keep doing good work

My 11 year old daughter had a wash, cut and blow wave today by Emily & it was absolutely fantastic. Emily was so wonderful with her, so gentle and kind. Emily took her time with the hair cut and was very particular. The hair cut was fantastic & my daughter loves it so much. She also loved the head massage during the hair wash! Thank you Emily, you were incredible! We will be back & will request you every time!

1st time for haircut in this salon, my hair is very straight, I'm struggling to find a hairdresser can understand my hair and how i want it to be done. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mel that helped me from the very start til finish, she is very very professional and knows all the hair type. I feel like a new woman and feel so AMAZING. Thank you thank you. Will keep coming back.

I had a great haircut at this salon yesterday. I'm a hairdresser myself and I must say the experience really impressed me. I was booked for a haircut with Alyse who was extremely professional, she did a very thorough consultation made some great suggestions, and the results were amazing.

GK is my go-to Barber. Always worth the wait. He is very friendly and popular and no matter how busy he is, I'd happily wait for over an hour for him to cut mine and my son's hair. Always goes above and beyond and is a perfectionist when it comes to our hair. Thanks GK!

Had my hair coloured and washed at this salon and everyone was super friendly. The stylist took her time to consult with me and my hair turned out amazing! Highly recommend and see you girls in 6 weeks for my regrowth!
