Throughout my working and personal life I have come across many health professionals including GP's. I can formally assure you that you will not find another GP that fits the mould of Dr. Ankita Roy. There are many many adjectives that I can think of that describes Dr Roy; however one important attribute is that Dr Roy utilises the patient centred approach in more ways than one. Dr Roy is the most thorough, empathetic GP I have ever met. You are not a number with Dr. Roy, the genuine care that she holds for her patients is ever so apparent, it is an atmosphere that you feel when you enter the room and her warm smile and greeting immediately alleviates any anxiety. I have the utmost confidence in Dr Roy and I can assure you that you will get the best care possible and if required referral to some of the finest health professionals in this country. There is no substitute for quality and if there were more GP's like Dr Roy the world (and health care in NSW) would be in a better place. Thank you for all that you do for me Dr Roy.

Dr Ankita Roy is not only a very professional, knowledgeable and experienced doctor but most importantly she is one of the loveliest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I’ve known Dr Ankita Roy on both a professional and personal level for many years. Ankita is an amazing doctor. All her referrals to various specialists have been spot on - excellence knows excellence! And she gives the best needles - I don’t know how she does it but they just don’t hurt at all! Initially visited Dr Roy at Sydney doctors, then went for a repeat visit to her new location @ 139 Macquarie st. She has such a warmth about her that radiated and immediately makes you feel at ease. She actively listens to everything you say and is genuinely interested. Mental health issues are not easy, but she makes everything seamless and comfortable. Highly recommend to anyone that needs some help in the mental health area. She is excellent.

I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Roy to anyone. She is an amazing GP and is one of the rare breed that actually cares about her patients and remembers things about their life. I’ve been to many doctors but I have never met one so kind and empathetic, as well as practical when it comes to treatment. As long as she remains in practice I will never need another GP. I can't believe this doctor has received all positive reviews. She is extremely expensive for the advice she provides. She drags on her consultations to make more money by providing several emotional filler comments. And she likes to promote the other services that they provide (mental health related). So if you have a lot of money to waste, visit this doctor. I didn't find any of her advice useful. And spent $520 on just 2 consults!

Having been to many medical professionals and coming out distressed and anxious, Dr Roy has completely brought back hope into my life. Dr Ankita Roy is an exceptional GP. The range of her medical knowledge is vast, coupled with expertise in mental health. My parents, brothers and now my kids all see her. She’s the only GP my kids are not scared of to get their shots as her skill at needles means it doesn’t even hurt. Doctor Roy is a very knowledgeable GP. Indeed, I saw her for a second opinion doctor in regards to an ongoing pain I had in my abdomen and thanks to her the imaging center found I had kidney stones which wasn’t diagnosed by another doctor.

Dr Roy isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for. As she is so experienced she proactively refers when needed and assesses your issue with such intelligence, someone else would take several visits to achieve the same result, if your lucky.
