I was excited about possibly finding a primary physician with Dr Warfield and her practice, unfortunately but fortunately I was able to see all that I needed to see and hear from this place. I was seen by a PC named Lauren who at first was nice but once I told her that I didn’t want Aleve nor Advil because they did not work with a MIGRAINE she became offended. She stated, “your not having migraines and you seem frustrated” I then told her that I was frustrated because I’d previously been to the ER and I was still sick and on top of that I couldn’t sleep or keep food down due to the headaches. I felt frustrated and as though I was being rushed out. She then went on to tell me she was frustrated too and didn’t know what I wanted her to give me. (SHE SHOULD HAVE STOPPED THERE, but she didn’t) She continues to insult me by saying that she thinks I came in looking for something “specific” and what “IT” was I looking for. She was suggesting perhaps that I was looking for drugs maybe Then says she’ll give me Flonase and Advil but after we had a few more words she then says well maybe a steroid would help?? So long story short I requested to see the office manager and or doctor who is over the practice and this is where things get very interesting....I begin to tell both the amazing office manager and doctor about the interaction. THE “DOCTOR” WARFIELD HERSELF SAYS, “ OOOH STOP IT, I DONT BELIEVE YOU! SHE TOLD ME WHAT HAPPENED AND SHES NOT LIKE THAT, THAT DIDNT HAPPEN!” I asked her at one time was she serious and did she really just say that? She replied, “YES!” Since when do you tell someone that their lying about their experience as a customer or how they viewed an interaction??? As a business owner? This is what you do? Now I’m not playing any cards but just to set the scene....your a brown woman, you have one white woman suggest your looking for drugs and another white woman say your lying. What saved everyone was a gentle woman named Dee, who may have just been trying to appease me but she soothed everything. She suggested a recommendation to a neurologist and apologized. THAT WAS ALL I REALLY NEEDED!! She’s not a doctor and came up with such a clever idea. At one point I had to stop talking to “DR” Warfield and speak to the office manager because I started shaking. I’ve never been so insulted in my life nor had someone blatantly disregard me after I’m paying your office for a service. The office manger told me They weren’t racist but clearly from “brown” woman to “brown” woman we both knew the verbiage and composure that “Lauren the PC” and “Dr” Warfield used was very inappropriate and would easily offend any one who is not familiar with white privilege. I’m sure they were discussing me and the situation by the looks I got before leaving and after coming back for an work excuse, but that’s ok because now they can have them same looks reading every bad review that I give. They can also read the one with the state. ( all of these statements are followed by #allegedly) IF I COULD GIVE THE OFFICE MANGER 5 STARS I WOULD. WETHER IT WAS OR WASN'T A GENUINE INTERACTION ILL NEVER KNOW, BUT SHE WAS AMAZING IN HOW SHE HANDLED EVERYTHING.
At first my experience with this clinic was really great!! Nice staff. and Practitioner Lauren was really awesome! However, where that amazing experience ended was when I received a past due notice in the mail 2 months after my appointment in June regarding a fee that I needed to pay despite the front receptionist saying I am good to go when I gave her my debit card. I called and left a voice message at the clinic since I got their after hours, and a week went by without anyone calling back. I got another notice in the mail stating that the clinic has sent out several letters and/or statements regarding the outstanding balance stating that if i do not reply within 10 days they will take me to collections. At this point I am upset not because I owe money but due to the lack of communication, and being threatened with collections despite contacting them with no reply. Today (August 22, 2019), I called and spoke with Dee the billing manager who I was transferred to by the receptionist. I explained to her the situation and expressed my concerns regarding the level of transparency I have received and asked why I am receiving pass due notices when the clinic never informed me I had a balance and was told from day one that I was good to go. Dee's attitude and tone was demeaning, condescending, and unprofessional. I was told that the receptionist was not informed that a certain procedure was not covered under insurance, and that the physical exam I received was. However, that I (the client) should not be upset over something minor and trivial. I tried voicing that I did not like how she is telling me being threatened with collections is minor and trivial, and that her tone of voice was rather rude. Dee constantly interrupted me, and continued to use the words "minor" and "trivial" and that it is petty I am upset over this situation that I should make the payment online. I ended the call because at this point I was unable to get much of a word out, and I was not going to sit there and get belittled by a staff from the clinic. Despite my positive experience with practitioner Lauren, I unfortunately will not do business there anymore.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I switched over to Dr. Warfield at the advice of my mother, and I came to hate every experience with her. Years of cold, disinterest in what I had to say had me dreading every time I had to visit her office. Completely devoid of personal, welcoming care. The final straw came when I came in with a cough that had been an issue for about a week. I know myself well enough to know when I have an upper respiratory infection. My boss even gave me three days off insisting I see a doctor. She said "Well come back later in the week if it hasn't improved" vs I don't know, listening to me and giving me something to help. Furious, I made an appointment with a new doctor who not only listened and took me seriously, but gave me medication to help my respiratory infection, which cleared up instantly. Imagine that. All in one doctors visit. Now I no longer dread visiting my doctor. My only regret is taking so long to switch providers.
I went to this practice for a couple years. Dr. Warfield is very nice, but not particularly thorough. Your results may vary. The office staff is among the worst I have ever encountered. They seem perpetually mystified by their own computer systems which is terrifying when we consider that these computers likely contain our medical and financial information. Ask them a question - any question - and you will get a response of “Oh, well, it just sorta depends…” There are a lot of them at this practice, and they are there to provide service to their real customer - the insurance provider. And yet none of them can tell you how any of it works. Contrast this with my dog’s vet. Everyone there knows how much things cost, how the insurance works, what to expect. They follow up. They provide itemized lists. They are on time. Don’t we deserve better health care than a dog?
BE AWARE! They screw you over insurance!! Fraud!!! Receptionist didn't tell me that my insurance plan won't work in that office although I asked multiple times and asked him to make sure my insurance works for them. He said it works while it wasn't true. After a few days they called me and asked for "no insurance" cash price cost $$$!!!! they lied again saying that insutrance doesnt cover preventive medicine while it wasn't true again. when I called my insurance, they said that simply the Dr was not in the network. which office staff didnt tell me when I asked multiple times giving them my insurance card in advance. Billing division manager says it's not their job to ask insurance if a patient is covered with his/her plan or not!!!!
I have been a patient of Dr. Warfield's for about 9 years. She is amazing and I always referred other patients to her including my wife. Problem is her office staff. I called to schedule appointment but could not due to "office policies". I am transitioning between employers and will have my temporary insurance ID in 6 days from now. The office refused to schedule me until I can prove I have insurance. They do not trust that I can pay $200 physical out of the pocket, even if for some highly unlikely reason that my new insurance does not like their office. Keep in mind this is after being her patient for at least 9 years and always paying all my bills to them. A little bit insulting to be honest.
Coming from a different city this so maybe I need to get use to “Doctor offices” in Austin... had to take off sweat shirt in walk through area for a blood pressure reading ... lucky I had another shirt underneath, would hate to imagine if not .. then take off my work boots for height and weight weight one place then to walk on the floor in my socks for height .... I’ve been going to the doctor for over 25 adult years never asked to do the above those small things have already put a bad taste in my mouth .and haven’t even seen the doctor yet ... hopefully the Doctor will change my mind about this office ....I changed my two to four Dr. Warfield made the visit worth the Aggravation.
Dr. Warfield is a good doctor. I’ve been seeing her for 15 years. However... she keeps a particular staff member (Blanca) on board who is so blatantly rude and disrespectful I finally left. Today was the final straw with her, and when I told her I’d be changing doctors, she said, “GREAT!”. I would also like to note that I think I’m a pretty nice person, and will give anyone the benefit of the doubt. I don’t think I’ve had a single pleasant interaction with Blanca. I love the rest of the office team... but this is truly a case of “one bad apple spoils the whole bunch”. Luckily I’ve been considering a functional medicine practice; so this gave me the push I needed. Thanks Blanca!
They forgot me for 30 minutes in the patient room. I then went to the desk to ask what was going on and they said the doctor forgot I was there and was now with another patient and I would have to continue waiting. Months later I find out they billed me as a medical visit rather than a physical because the doctor prescribed an antibiotic cream for a cut I had. That cut cost me $100. Oh, and did try to ask for the bill and settle it before leaving the office but they said they didn't have time to do that and would it send it to me later. Horrible experience.
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!! They literally turn you away if you are a new patient that has to reschedule your appointment when it wasn't a 24 hour notice! What doctor office tells you that you just have to go and find another doctor because you cancel less than 24 hours before the day of your appointment? I will never recommend this doctor to anyone! No policy should ever be in place like this in a health/ medical business! It's about saving lives!!!
Your office continues to send me a $50 late cx fee for a visit 2 years ago after we already spoke to your office manager advising her that we could not make my husband's appointment because we were on our way to pay our last respects to his twin sister who was dying of Covid! She told us she would have the charge removed yet 2 years later, you still continue to send us an invoice! You should be ashamed of yourself!! Have some compassion for God's sake!
I am a new patient to Dr. Warfield and I cannot begin to explain how top notch she and her staff are. Scheduling, prescription refills, authorizations- all of the things that are normally a pain to deal with at other dr offices are made so easy by the doctors and their great staff. Additionally, Dr. Warfield has a great bedside manner and she really listens. I’m extremely pleased and can’t recommend her and her office and staff enough. Thank you!
I have to give this office and Dr. Warfield a low rating because while she is taking new patients, she is not taking new Medicare patients. My cardiologist recommended her. I have heart issues and was just diagnosed with diabetes. I am disabled so finding a doctor close to me is really important. I'm sure other offices have this policy as well. However, the policy of discriminating against Medicare patients is just not ok.
WATCH! Office assistants lie to get your money. They told my friend that his insurance plan is fine, but then they charged him extra $ saying insurance has deductible which was a lie. Again after a few days, they said insurance doesn't cover the visit while it was not true! Insurance covered it but they didn't bother to call to see if they are in the network or not!!! instead they easily lied about it again to get $$.
I am a new patient at his office, and I have to say that I appreciate being treated with courtesy and respect by Dr. Warfield and her staff. I understand that medical staff is very busy and sometimes emotions from previous interactions can slip into current interactions (once I had a snippy exchange on the phone with a staff person). I do not hesitate to call the office when I have need.
My husband recommended this office to me and we both felt welcomed immediately. I often see the PA Lauren and typically not the doctors, because I click very well with her. The staff is amazing and has helped me this past year get my mental and physical health in check. Everything is always taken seriously and I appreciate them more than they know.
I have been a patient of Dr Warfield's for about 9 years now. I have always found her very courteous, considerate and she really listens. Dr Warfield answers all my questions and gives good explanations of procedures and treatments. I have found all the staff & nurses are friendly & competent. I give the Practice a 10 out of 10!
I have been with Dr Warfield for many years. She is amazing. I always feel welcome by the office staff, and she is very patient and transparent with me. I recommend her to anyone that asks. She has taken very good care of me for a long time, and I will continue to see her for anything and everything that comes up.
I have been coming to this location since I have moved to Austin. The staff is very professional and they know what they are doing. The doctors here are also great and do an amazing job. I was recommended here by a friend and would recommend them to anyone looking for a doctor if they age in your network.
I think Dr. Warfield is an amazing doctor. I was experiencing a lot of fatigue. Doctor Warfield did all the right tests and I was diagnosed with parathyroid adenoma (tumour). It was surgically removed. I think Dr. Warfield is a very professional and caring physician and I love having her as my doctor.
Dr. Warfield has been an amazing doctor. She's the first doctor that I've had that cares for her patients and is actually willing to listen to them and their concerns. She's very understanding, personable and it's been a pleasure to finally find a good doctor. Highly, highly recommended!
While I find Dr. Warfield to be extremely patient with my questions, she's misdiagnosed me a few times. Unfortunately, that caused my condition to worsen to the point I need surgery. Please use caution if you're considering Dr. Warfield as your primary care physician.
Dr Warfield is wonderful and very thorough! I've been her patient for over 14yrs and she has taken care of my elderly father, my husband and my daughter. She has managed my multiple issues and makes it easier to keep track of my medications.
If I could give 0 star I would do not waste your time here, front office is rude and took my office co-pay then saw the PA and never got my prescriptions called into the pharmacy after multiple phone calls and messages left.....what a joke!
Dr. Warfield is an excellent doctor. My husband and I both find her to be knowledgeable as well as approachable. She takes time with her patients and refers when necessary. Her office staff is also friendly and responsive.
Dr. Warfield is amazing and truly makes sure I am well cared for and that I feel heard. I've been seeing her for many years and am very happy.
Was a patient for 2 yrs. Got turned away for a snake bite wound and ended up in the hospital becaise they refused to see me
Dr. Kimberly L. Warfield is very friendly and knowledgeable and she will answer all your questions with patience
