A brief history that describes the type staff at Duval Pharmacy. I suffer with heart failure, Depression as well as several medications that I simply can't miss. But on Wed. Pm I learned that my Pharmacy for years, Closed Down (OUT OF BUISNESS) NO ONE FROM THE PHARMACY CONTACTED ME. I learned from a fellow patient that the Pharmacy was closed for good. My Dr. Appointment was for the next day and I rescheduled for the following day to allow me to locate a Pharmacy that's taking new patients and went through a very brief discussion with a Duval Pharmacy staff member who welcomed our business. On Friday at the time I was going to pickup my meds. Upon arrival I learned that my RX dates were incorrect and after the Pharmacy reviewed my RXs He found that my Dr. Had been writing my prescriptions for 90 day intervals. However, the Pharmacy had refused to fill Meds for 90 days. In stead he was filling for 30 day supply with 2 refills. After Duval Pharmacy staff review it became obvious that the Pharmacy was filling in 30 day intervals and each medication was costing extra as the 90 day supplies would have been cheaper per pill. Duval identified the problem and did everything in there power to adjust meds. To reflect the number of actual tablets that I have received. They went well above and beyond any reasonable expectations to assist while mintaining a very kind and patient attitude with me. I should mention that this was late on a Friday and they were very busy. I am a new patient and the staff couldn't have been more kind, Professional and personable. Look forward to many years of service, They truly made me fill that my Business was important to them. I would recommend this Pharmacy to anyone that's tired of being a number. (THEY ARE DIFFERENT AND YOU WILL NOTICE AS SOON AS YOU ENTER)

I recently had to switch to Duval Pharmacy because my insurance stopped covering my old pharmacy. I have high medical needs and a LOT of weird prescriptions. The extremely nice folks at Duval Pharmacy have taken everything that has been thrown at them, no problem! They've been highly communicative, kind, and so welcoming. My prescriptions are ready quickly after being called in by my care team, and all has gone smoothly in the transition. A good pharmacy is extremely important, and I also believe having a personal relationship with your pharmacist is too. You won't find this type of thing at the big chain pharmacies, and as a result I believe you won't get as good care at those places. Consider switching to Duval Pharmacy and help sustain our small pharmacies - they provide such an important service to our communities. Wouldn't you rather do business with someone who actually cares about you and not just maximizing profits?

Love this pharmacy. Nate and Crystal are so personable and awesome. Love love love them!!!!!!! Working in a doctor's office I never persuade a patient to go to a particular pharmacy just whomever their insurance prefers. But Nate and Crystal go above and beyond for our patients that I know my patients are in the best of care as they treat my patients like family. The best pharmacy I ever had the Pleasure to work with in collaboration with our office. For myself, my family and my patients. We would never think of going elsewhere. They know your name when you walk in the door and are always happy to see you and help anyway they can. You can't find that in any other local pharmacy. I started using Duval Pharmacy on Normandy Blvd about 5 years ago (I think), it was the best decision I made for myself. Nate and Crystal are not only friendly, they are very professional. When I walk into the shop they always greet me by my name and are always smiling. They always call to let me know when my prescriptions are ready, which is a plus because I never keep up with my refills. I recommend Duval Pharmacy on Normandy Blvd because unlike the large pharmacies they are never crowded and you have a personal relationship with Nate and Crystal as opposed to waiting in line, pay for you items and you're out the door. I could not be happier to have a local pharmacy again. Nate and Crystal go above and beyond to make sure me, my husband and my kids have the medication we need. If they don't have it, they call me right away and try to find pharmacies they can transfer the prescription to. It's very stressful when the people you love are sick and even more stressful when their medication is scarce. Nate and Crystal have always done everything they can to alleviate stress and prove that real customer service isn't about the bottom line. I love that when I go, they know who I am (which I NEVER got at the big chains). I hope they never close because I can't go back to being just a number and a dollar sign.

I have been using Duval pharmacy on Normandy Boulevard for years. Nate and Crystal are the best! I would never ever use another pharmacy as long as their in business. They have went above and beyond whenever I have needed anything in regards to my prescriptions. Whether it was trying to find coupons to help with the cost or putting in an order, calling my health providers, sending in numerous faxes to get medication to be refilled. I can’t say enough about them, but what I can say and this says it all. As far as my health goals. I trust them with my life!!!! Now that says a lot. I started using them about 3 years ago. Since starting with them I have found out how rude and judgemental they are. How much they talk about people behind their backs and how they are disgusted with most of their clients. The pharmacist Nate, was so stressed out over his job and the people that come to him for their life sustaining or helping medications, he had to rush himself to the docotrs becasue he was having a panaic attack. Nate and Crystal treat people as if they are supposed drop everything and run when they call and say things are ready. Not realizing people have multiple jobs and have to balance funds because we all do not have a ton of money in the bank.

*ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND* At Duval Pharmacy on Normandy Blvd Nate and Crystal go above beyond for all their customers. They are two of the most friendly caring good hearted people. Not only that. They do it with kindness in their hearts and smiles on their faces. They never treat you like a burden. Even if you call 1000 times. Bless their hearts sad to say I have done that on two occasions. Every time they treated me as if I was their only customer. They are very knowledgeable. They even try their hardest to get you the best price they can to help you with cost. If you haven't tried them as your local pharmacy. I highly recommend you do so now!!!

Found this wonderful pharmacy by chance after years of awful service and sometimes, outright lies(!) from CVS. Now my prescriptions are filled and ready without me needing to call, I get my entire prescription, not just “however much they have in stock”, and it’s with a smile and a kind word from Nate and Crystal. Plus a calendar! Seriously, there’s no need to take abuse from those huge chains that take days to fill a pre-filled Z-pack. On the Westside, go see Duval Pharmacy on Normandy! An on-top-of-it independent pharmacy that’ll make you wonder why you ever went somewhere else!

I have to say Nate and Crystal have been nothing but informative and helpful, honest, and trustworthy. If they feel their prices they have to offer isn't good enough, they call us and let us know. They also take their time to find us discounts, and coupons when needed. We have not had this kind of of customer service from a pharmacist until we met them. Their prices are very reasonable compared to most pharmacies. We drive across town to get what we need at this location because of the service and prices they have to offer.

I visited Duval Pharmacy today under the advice from my Doctor. I was not disappointed! Not only was I greeted as I walked through the door, but talked me through the entire process. While they were verifying my insurance they even searched for coupons to lower costs. They're a throwback to a pharmacy that actually cares about you and your health. I haven't even mentioned that they will actually DELIVER your scripts! Truly an amazing experience and I will not go anywhere else again to have my prescriptions filled.

I have been fed up with big name pharmacies for years. They lack the personal attention that is needed in this business. A friend referred me to Duval Pharmacy and they are a breath of fresh air! Talking to Crystal and Nate is like taking a step back in time to the small neighborhood pharmacies I remember from when I was a child. I called and gave Crystal my information for my existing prescriptions and they transferred everything in less than 24 hours. I am looking forward to doing business here.

Started using them because they were willing to order a drug that I'd been having trouble getting through any of the chain pharmacies, and even had it ready the next day. I've since switched my other script over to them, and they're matching the price I paid elsewhere. I've also been inordinately pleased with their helpfulness and the fact that they recognize their customers and greet them by name. Decided to visit Duval Pharmacy today on Normandy after running around to 7 other places who didn't have my medication. Not only did Duval Pharmacy have my meds, but they got them filled in 10 mins!! I was shocked. they were so much more helpful and nicer than any other pharmacy I've been to. I'm moving all of my family's business here and we will not go to Walgreens or CVS again! I became so disgruntled with the other "on every corner" pharmacies with the never ending lines and their overworked personnel that I decided I was going to try Duval Pharmacy on Normandy Blvd. I can only say I wish I had made the switch years ago. I was recommended to this pharmacy for a prescription a chain could not fill due to it being on back order and didn’t know when they could get it in. They had it ready the next day. They know your face when you walk in and the the customer service is superior! They always call to check in to ensure if refills will be needed. You can tell they take a lot of pride in the service they provide and I am truly grateful I discovered this pharmacy!

Wish I had stopped by Duval Pharmacy sooner! This smart, friendly & capable Pharmacy is currently saving me $70 per month on my prescriptions. A larger pharmacy has caused a lot of grief between me & my Dr. by making substitutions without my authorization.(& then denying they requested the substitutions.)The Duval Pharmacy staff has remedied the situation; they fill prescriptions quickly, easily & help me save my hard earned money.

I love this pharmacy! Their customer service is great because they greet/speak to you as soon as you walk in and by name(Mrs. Robinson). They'll chit-chat with you even if they're busy and answer whatever medical question you may have. They did a special service for me that will keep me as a loyal customer. I would recommend this pharmacy to anyone who is looking for a great, professional, loyal, dedicated pharmacy.

By far the best pharmacy I have ever used. Staff is very caring kind and patient. I was recommended by my doctor to give them a try and it was a good decision to do so. Reminds me of a mom and pop type of diner where they remember your name and details about you, Very personal yet professional. Making the move to Duval Pharmacy was the best decision. After having many difficulties with national chain pharmacies, walking in to Duval Pharmacy was a completly different experience. The staff are true professionals who care about the health and wellbeing of those they serve. They take the time to know you in order to best help. I love the staff at the Normandy Blvd location. Nate is exceptional and they are extremely knowledgeable and helpful with get your medication approvals. There was a medication I needed and CVS was no help but Nate and the staff at Duval on Normandy were able to get me what I needed. They also offer free delivery if you live with in 10 miles of the store. Service is always fast and friendly.

This is a great place to get your prescriptions filled. Fastest turnaround I have ever experienced. The couple that own the pharmacy are great with their customer service and we're able to fill a med I couldn't find anywhere else. On top of all that, they gave me a free calendar, might not sound like much but it reminded me of old times.
