We've had a good experience here. The ladies in the office are very friendly and always willing to help. The teachers over the last 2 years are very eager to keep me informed of my child's grades. The only discouraging thing is getting ahold of the counselor is extremely difficult. I shouldn't have to get the principal involved for Mr. W to return my calls or emails. However, Mr. Parker is always apologetic and gets Mr. W to contact me quickly. (I just shouldn't have to resort to that) I would definitely recommend this high school. Safety is a top priority!

I hated this school I went to east freshman and sophomore year in the ib program and it was complete garbage horrible teachers with no intention of wanted to help you by staying after school and if they did stay they would make it seem like it was such a bother. The one teacher that I had a problem with was the French teacher Ms.Smith she was very unprofessional and you could tell she had her favorites. Overall I am happy I am not there anymore I do not recommend this school to anybody that has self respect for themselves.

As a 2009 Alumni of East Mecklenburg I can say that it is definitely a school to consider. I am an alumni of the AP/IB Program and I can say that the academic rigor of this program has made college a breeze for me. I was even able to obtain the distinct honor of Phi Beta Kappa and graduating Magna Cum Laude in Biochemistry thanks to some of my loving professors at East Meck. I will always have that eagle pride soaring high in my heart.

This is where the county tryouts are held for CMS honors orchestra. I wish they would provide more information for the parents during that time on where to enter the school at for this event. 2 years in a row its j ut st bern confusion along with a few rude people telling you where you can't enter. It's a mess and CMS needs to do better

Fantastic IB program, helpful teachers, and a welcoming environment. I was really able to learn and thrive as a student here. Of course there's some of the regular problems with high school, but this school does a great job of being a place of learning.

This school could be great, but has a terrible principal who does not care about anything beyond his image or football. He does not support teachers and only acts like he has students' best interests at heart. He is a bigot and a very sexist.

It's a great school, teachers are funny and friendly, you can literally forget that they are your teachers. If you speak Spanish or every other language, no problem, they will try to help you.

Karla Hauersperger, my mother, went to this school and this was one of the first schools to become anti-segregated. I love this school as it made My mom able to go to NASA. Thank You so much.

This is honestly a great school with a great principal that engulfs the school with so much school spirit. The best high school I went to.

I go to the school and I think most of the teachers are Awesome but I think the schedules and the buildings are a bit confusing.

For being in not the best of areas it is a decent school with some community neighborhood spirit behind it.
