I visited Eclectica print and Art Gallery today during the ‘first thursday’ event. (I suggest looking that up when you love art and are in Cape Town during a first thursday of the month!!) saw some real nice pieces. From man made prints of wood or lino, But also oil paintings and more. Real nice Contemporary pieces and prints. I loved one work specifically (from Nelson Makamo). To bad it was to big for my home. They have multiple floors, just ask and they’ll show you around. (**Pieces I photographed might be sold by the time you visit the gallery)

Galleries can be scary places where hoity toity assistants make one feel unwelcome. This was not the case here as we were warmly recieved and assisted. This is a fabulous space where it was a pleasure to see top quality local and international works displayed professionally. This gallery is highly recommended.

They always a good selection of works on exhibition. I just wish the staff would stop breathing down my neck and let me look at the works. If I need an explanation or have any questions, I will ask. Their 'service' is claustrophobic.

If your interested in printmaking or any contemporary art, for that matter, do take time to browse around this gallery. New and older prints hang alongside each other and the exhibitions change regularly.

This is a beautifully set up and curated art galley. All the artwork is new, relevant and contemporary. The artwork varies from abstract, to conceptual, Lino print and auditory art. Very impressed
