Edgar's store in shopping mall in Tokai. Sadly the quality and variety of merchandise is not what it was. My reason was to try and sort out my account. Looked for Management none to be found preferred to a Cashier at the pay point, unable to help. When having caused a bit of a scene was taken into a back office where a number of shoppers were complaining bitterly that since the Edgar's book was taken over by RCS, nothing but problems, to have these solved you need to use the stores phone to speak with someone at RCS. Not a good system as Edgar's will loose clients due to inefficiency and bad service, have had an Edgar's account for over 30 years. Left the store after waiting over an hour, and still have not been able to sort out the incorrect charge to my account. If they do not do something and fast to rectify this problem they will loose even more customers.

Very disappointed in a Estee Lauder consultant at Edgar's Blue route mall. A middle age colored lady assisted me on Thursday 10/08/23 and all I wanted was a sample of foundation because I ran out of foundation however at the same time I just purchased a Estee Lauder foundation online at Foschini and returned the incorrect colour at Foschini in Blue Route mall and Amanda thats the beauty consultant really went out her way to help me and sent me to Edgar's for a sample because they don't stock Estee lauder at their branch. The Estee lauder consultant was so irrated and even asked so did Foschini send you here??? Clearly she was very irritated because I purchase from foschini This is very disturbing as I've been a Estee lauder client for many years!

Edgars was eerily quiet for a Friday! Here and there I saw a customer browsing.. I closed my account after shopping at Edgars for 43yrs! The office staff was nonchalant about losing a loyal customer who paid her account ahead of time and also paid more than the installment due for all those years.. They said so many customers were coming in to close their accounts since RCS took over the billing..there are too many hidden costs added on without notification to the customer. For them it was just another day at the office.. Very Sad indeed..

1 star might be too high a rating for this store...always only 1 cashier on duty that has to do account payments, account queries and ring up sales. Staff are less than efficient and disinterested even though there seems to be enough staff on the floor. Why is it so hard to staff up the cash desk? Surely 1 can take account payments, 1 can take queries & returns and 1 for sales? It's not rocket science...pathetic service really...

I don't shop here, not my style apart from the odd item. Beautiful girl clothing. For as long as I've been coming to this store the service has been slow. The cashiers look like they are not interested and deliberately take their own sweet time. Another pain point is the fact that there is always only 1 or cashiers, what happened to job creation, especially with month end being so busy? Edgar's completely lost their spark.

I bought two pairs of sandals for my 4 year old son. After two weeks, I was forced to return both pairs, as the glue came loose from the sole. It is seriously disappointing that the quality of Edgar's products for kids are scaled down so low and what is worse that Naasief had the audacity to accuse a child of ''self inflicting" damaging the shoe. Luckily we found at a much better option at Cotton on Kids and Ackermans.

I like the variety, cleanliness of the shop, and professionalism of the staff, however the queue you stand for long. It could be maybe they are understaffed or less employees with Level 1 lockdown... but two till points open with a lot of customers doesnt work especially if a customer has a query on a purchase and it takes an Edgar's staff member forever to solve the problem...

It was good and a lady with Rasta on the man section helped me a lot with my boy's jean trousers ....I am applauding for more more she is doing her job very well she cares and helps coustomers I was nearly to go with buying anything but she came to me and tell me about jeans deal and how it works with payment but I end paying cash because of her .

Generally a good variety of clothes but the quality of footwear has deteriorated. Since the change over to RCS the account admin is in a mess. I have had my account since 1981. I am about to close it now because of how my account has been administered. No accountability from Customer Service. Emails have gone unanswered.

It's a nice airy store , the stock is trendy and in season. However you seldom find a sales assistant to help you, which frustrates one. It's good to know however that they adhere to the consumer protection act , which means you have no problem when you want to return something for some reason or have a account query.

Shop selection and quality quite good, but found my Edgars card had been cancelled due to insufficient activity. No phone call and no email to see if we still want the account. For many years I have been a model customer. Now this tells me they are not interested in my custom. Maybe I should shop elsewhere in future?

Kayla and friends at the cellphone counter thought something was very funny and laughed and made me and my cousin feel uncomfortable in this store and then you could hear them saying "gonna make people not Wana shop in Edgar's" argh customer service absolutely sucks in South Africa no wonder the store is dead.

No staff on the floor to ask where an item is. Looking for an after bath mattress... the girl but accounts was helpful enough to look for us but nothing. Horrible shop cause no staff at all on the floor to help you search for items. So basically going to your competitor.

To be honest it was so worth our time and money. The less 50% really was awesome at this time of the year for cash purchases. No one can purchase a formal trouser, shirt, shoes, belt for under a R850. One down side, no visible floor staff
