Love this space! By far the best salon I’ve been to in Portland. I’ve been following Bryce, the owner, since before Edit opened and I’m so happy to see what he’s done with the environment. The BEST vibes. Bryce is extremely talented and friendly. There’s been a couple times I tried to go somewhere else after I started seeing him, and my hair never feels nearly as good. He somehow sees the vision in my head and makes it even better than I imagined. He’s extremely knowledgeable in the field and constantly learning new skills, and always down to try something new. Services with Bryce are so therapeutic. There’s no way I’d get get through these grey Portland falls and winters without him. He is also the most responsive stylist I’ve ever had. If I ever have a question or change my mind, he’s there to keep me from making impulsive decisions. I also love that he is so willing to teach and coach clients to maintain and style their hair at home. The products here are to die for and Bryce will always make sure you have the equipment you need to live your best hair life.

Bryce has been my go-to stylist since 2015. I've since moved away from Portland and have yet to find someone who matches his care and high caliber of expertise. To this day, I always schedule a cut with him during my annual visits back to the PNW, and it's amazing to visit him now at Edit Beauty Collective--a calm, welcoming space that he envisioned for many years before the brick and mortar became a reality. Bryce stands out from other stylists because he brings a collaborative approach to your look. He has listened to my ideas, sent me photos for inspiration, and always affirmed my desire to have a style that reflects my personality. He can deliver on a look that captures your input while also taking into account what is possible with your hair--not just in the moment but in the days and months after when you're responsible for your own styling and care. As a final note, I would be remiss if I neglected to mention that Bryce is in a class of his own for his skill with a straight razor and keen eye for texture. His short cuts and pixies are fire.

First time visiting Edit based on a recommendation by a friend and I was not disappointed by any means. I’ve been on the hunt for a new hair stylist for a while now and have gone through a fair share of people that have always left me a bit disappointed with the results. Never awful but never really what I wanted. I saw Bryce, and he took a good chunk of time before the appointment to get a really good detailed idea of what I was looking for, what I liked and didn’t like, he was honest and informative about the entire process and made me feel confident that he knew what he was doing. I left feeling so good and confident and with the hair I’ve been wanting to have. The salon was clean and bright, modern and professional but also offered a very warm environment that made my 3 hour appointment comfortable and relaxing. Glad I found a stylist I’m confident in and looking forward to go back to.

TL:/DR: Bryce can fix broken damaged hair and he’s fun! So about six years ago, I had moved to Southwest Portland and was looking to shop local. I went to a salon nearby my home and stylist proceeded to turn my hair orangeish. She agreed to fix it so the next day I came back and she turned my overprocessed orange highlights into blue tinted straw. Not the look I was going for. When I was on the phone with my credit union to stop payment on my destroyed hair, i texted the picture to the agent. “Oh hon, you NEED my friend Bryce,” he said after we both could stop laughing. Bryce saved my hair! Six years later, my hair is glossy and healthy, color amazing, and it’s the longest it has ever been. Personality a 10+ as well - Bryce has the best advice and great recommends - best of all, he’s empathetic and loves to learn new ways to make hair fabulous!

My favorite days are what I call Michelle days. Michelle Huth is an absolute professional and perfectionist. She has helped transform my very thick, coarse hair into a manageable stylish easy statement. I have been seeing Michelle for over 5 years. She has a knack for interpreting what you want and also educating you on what your specific hair will and won’t do. She also offers great advice to keep your hair from being “outdated”. The salon is comfortable, intimate and classy. There is a great selection of the best products and the staff is knowledgeable on all of them. Michelle and I book my appointments on a reoccurring schedule for a year out - so convenient! If you want to transform your hair to a manageable stylish regime, I would book with Michelle. Best decision I made all those years ago.

Love this salon! I used to live in the Pearl District and this salon was super easy to get to. It’s close to 13th street near some great food and coffee! Even though I moved away, I’m still a regular and happy customer. Molly is the best, and my hair has never looked healthier. She’s super responsive about appointments, and gives great advice for what color to use and how many highlights I need. All of the other stylists are super nice as well. Shout out to Bryce the owner for always having a smile and great music selections! The space itself is bright, open, airy, and best of all - filled with gorgeous plants. I especially love the hair wash station. The chairs lay fully back and are very comfortable. No cricks in my neck after a visit here!

I LOVE this salon! It has such a calming, clean, fresh vibe and makes you feel like you are at a spa. I have been going to Bryce for 10 years for coloring and hair cuts. Bryce actively listens to his client and is patient with his clients. He seeks to understand what the client is wanting and will educate you as to what is possible with your hair texture and color. He collaborates with you to build a plan for your hair to get you where want to be. It may take a few sessions because to do it all at once could damage your hair. He is very concerned with the health of your hair and making sure things are done well. He is always determine to make you feel like a million bucks walking out of the salon and I feel that way every time.

There is nothing scarier to me, then seeing a new stylist. But out of desperation, a colleague recommended Bryce (who graciously squeezed me into his calendar) and it is by far the best decision I ever made. He is a true scientist of color. He took my funky balayage (I'm convinced that the wavy trend came about with balayage because majority of stylists don't actually do it in a way that you can wear your hair straight) and perfectly blended it into gorgeous tones, that a full month later, look spectacular (wavy or straight!). To add to it, Bryce is just a gem, and the salon feels like an escape. He's so good - I'll continue flying across the country to see him.

I was not paid for this review, it was just THAT good of an experience! I came in for a cut and they were so inviting and great from the get go. First off I had trouble finding parking (cus it was rush hour- not on them) and i called to let them know. They were not only really understanding they went outside to find me spots nearby. Michelle was so inviting and immediately got into talking about my hair. Making sure we were on the same page and checking in as we went. My hair finally came back to life from the heavy mop it was before. Michelle was so fun and entertaining and she gave the best head massage when shampooing ever! 10/10 would highly recommend!

Before meeting Bryce I looked like someone trying to cosplay as Julius Cesar. Bryce accepted me, fixed my horrible hair and now I have a loving girlfriend and two cats. YOU CAN LIVE THE DREAM TOO! But for real Bryce is truly the most talented stylist I have ever encountered and that alone would keep me coming back but his ability to meet his clients where they are at in life and make them feel appreciated is something to be admired. He’s the perfect person to see on a good day and an even better person to see when you’re having a rough one! Very thankful I was recommended him years ago!

Bryce is such a sweetheart. I’m usually awkward and quiet getting my hair coloured and it literally was a breeze and went by so fast! He is so knowledgeable when it comes to hair and really took great care of me and explained the processes when I asked! While he did all the work, it felt like a collaborative effort giving me the look I never knew I could achieve The ladies I work with were ooing and awing at my hair saying how great of a job he did and how soft my hair looked and felt. I love Bryce and this salon! To start the salon itself is so upscale yet very inviting. You feel like you’re stepping into a private oasis even though it’s located right in the heart of the pearl district. Bryce and everyone that works there are always friendly and full of enthusiasm. Bryce is absolutely amazing. The talent he has with color is incredible (& I am sure the rest of the salon). Used to hop from salon to salon looking for that perfect blonde, found Bryce and he has been doing my hair for 5+ years. This was my first visit to this salon, which was wonderful, with its charming size, great location, and friendly staff. But my main rave is for my longtime stylist, Ceci, who recently relocated to this spot. Her cut and color skills are so amazing that I never fail to receive compliments from at least one passing stranger after my appointments. Plus, her caring and comfortable nature make you feel as if you’ve long been friends even if you’ve only just met. Highly recommend!

I had the BEST experience at this salon - the space is beautiful and clean and Bryce is fantastic. He is so knowledgeable about hair, the products and the color process it was as much of an educational experience as it was a relaxing day at the salon. I am OBSESSED with the color I left with and a fresh cut. My hair feels healthy and soft and I am super excited for this hair journey with Bryce as we work to repair damage and supplement for hair growth.

I am so happy Edit Beauty Collective opened, it is just the kind of salon Portland needs. It’s high end but laid back and comfortable all at the same time. I see Molly and she never disappoints. Michelle is the best! I go from having no hair to lots of hair. I get extensions for volume, and I’ve been getting them since 2014 - In and out on the same day. I’ve been coming here since 2019 and it’s the best application I’ve ever had. She does a fine application for me. Plus, she’s the quickest at applying them. I recommend 100%.

I’ve been seeing Ceci for over 10 years, absolutely love her! I usually do haircut for long hair, trust her vision, and she does an amazing job.
