This will probably be the most detailed review you'll ever read. PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING SWITCHING TO THIS CHURCH. The cons will be longer than the pros because I provided reasons behind my claim. Please note that these are MY opinions and views on this church, and not everyone may agree with them, so please, No hate. Pros: 1) There are SOME great pastors. 2) Great facilities in the church. 3) Great congregation and programs involving kids, youth, and adults 4) Amazing praise team. (There are only praise teams. There's no choir) 5) Offers service in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. 6) Really great Sunday School and Elevation for Kids 7) Great place to get to know more people. 8) Big gym for activities. Cons: 1) Unless you are a Christian who grew up in the church and have your own clique, this church will feel like home to you. If not, be prepared to feel unwelcomed, invisible and left out. 2) If you getting to know what Christianity is, please please please- go to another church. There are pastors in ECCC who really sounds forceful when giving their sermons, like they are forcing you to believe that Christianity is right and shame on you if you aren't a Christian yet. 3) No public wifi, so you are doomed if you didn't bring a Bible or if you don't have data on your phone. 4) DON'T BE FOOLED by the label of "non-denomination church". They only focus on Jesus and the Lord. They don't talk about Saints or Virgin Mary that are a key figure of other denominations. It honestly feels like they are under a denomination. So if you are someone who is part of a denomination, please don't go to ECCC just because it's close to where you live. You will miss out a huge part of your denomination. 5) VERY LIMITED PARKING. Unless you go there super early, ahahaha no parking for you. They recommend parking at the Davis Parking Lot that's like a 10min walk from the church, but no one parks there because it's far and quite isolated. I would really like to see them buy a lot of land and turn it into a parking lot, or have an expansion project dedicated to making a building only for parking. ***Because of the parking issue, it gets scary on the road. I nearly got hit by this lady who attends this church just because she was trying to snatch a parking spot. 6) PLEASE tell your teenagers to not eat the food served for volunteers or the food cooked at Iron Chef night (Iron Chef night is a night where kids make food and serve it to their whole youth group.). Even better, don't send your teenagers to Iron Chef night. I PERSONALLY WITNESSED a girl who stuck her finger in this sauce and put it in her mouth to taste it, then put her finger right back and repeated it for 5 times. Furthermore, they don't tie their hair up or wear gloves when handling food; they use their hands for everything. And it's not like they're only serving it to 3-4 people. They serve it to EVERYONE. Once I found hair in the lettuce that I had on my plate when I was having the volunteer orientation lunch that they provided. Gross. 7) ECCC is particularly stingy about their money, even though they receive lots of funding. They buy cheap food for kids and volunteers at summer camp. For disinfecting and cleaning, they use white vinegar which stinks up the whole room. It works well, but can they really not afford disinfectant? 8) Even though people in the church claims that they are Christian, some of them sure don't act like one! Some Christians don't include others and they trash talk and hate on other Christians. There have been so many instances where valuable stuff got lost and was never found. I nearly got hit by a car because a lady was snatching a car spot. Residents of that community get annoyed because their driveway are blocked by cars of people who attend this church. 9) It's literally impossible to walk in this church because parents let their kids run around everywhere and you have to be careful that you don't hurt them by accident. I am still hoping for that day to come when this church will make me change my opinions.

I go here. During the service, I always see people playing video games, doing paperwork or their homework, reading novels, doing random stuff,... instead of listening and paying attention to the sermon which is the sacred word of God! I know their ushers see these disrespectful people/kids. I know some adults or church leaders see them as well. But I bet they are turning a blind eye to them. I havnt seen a single one call their attention or even confront them to stop. Once I called the attention of a teenager who played games on his Celphone during the whole (one hour!) sermon. He just said sorry and seemed to just shrug it off.. Unreal. These people don't know what they do infect others' attitude toward Christ. These people are blatant disrespectful and do not fear God. I hope the pastors or leaders of this church will see this comment. I do hope that this church learn to at least respect the word of our Lord....

As a neighbour, they bring far too much traffic and noise to our community, and there's no reason they need to be building a massive complex that is not for the surrounding community, not accessible to the rest of the community, and not inclusive of the varied lifestyles this *residential* area is so well known for, in an area that would otherwise be much lower traffic, and a much nicer residential area. So, if you're looking to belong to a group that pretends to be humble while ignoring what's going on around them in favour of their own interests, and the desire to constantly be bigger and never be satisfied with or observant of what is pre-existing, this is the place for you! Also great if you like to wander around areas know to be a bastion of tolerance, trying to make people feel badly that they aren't part of your religious organization.

I'm not a religious person. I have been inside a couple of times when I was younger and just recently I was on the property just relaxing as they have a nice little garden area. One of the staff members came out and we chatted for a bit and he was quite friendly. I recommend coming here to relax or sit for a snack in their garden area.

Love this church! I have been welcomed by many people on my first visit and worship is great, songs make you feel like your out on a retreat. Speakers are good at interaction with church people, but also fun to listen too as well.
