"Why close at 4pm when permitting is vital to the city? Government needs to work for us"
"Why is there no phone number to contact a city agency"
Today is the second day in a row I took off work slightly early to try to make it to this place by 3, because unfortunately they close at 4pm, only to be turned away again.. when I came yesterday I was told I only needed to bring a survey of my land and proof of the work being done. Today I get here and they hand me six pieces of paper I need to fill out and tell me I won't have enough time because there's only 30 minutes left before they close.. now I have to try to come back up here tomorrow for a third time :( I dislike that this is the only place in the city to pull permits and they are so far away. I also highly dislike that a government agency such as this shuts down so early. Most people don't even get out of work until 5, how do they expect anyone to get to their building of business in time to do any business? I work and live in Mayport; it is very difficult to make it all the way down town by 4 by the time I get off work.
There's a lady that works downstairs in Parks and Recreation in the same office as this polite gentleman named Kevin who was EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND KIND his Co worker that buzzes people in works in the same office and acts totally annoyed when she's ask any questions makes the visit there unpleasant and welcoming.... I think the city should find someone more pleasant and welcoming.. very beautiful buildings should have beautiful smiles throughout
I work here. No problems. nice building. Maintenance is a bit slow fixing issues but Ill give it to them; it's a big building. Parking garage elevator goes out on occasion, but your usually 2 or 3 floors from where you want to be. And my work floor is ALWAYS FREEZING COLD - winter and summer. It's FREEZING cold, like gloves and coat cold - year round, for both men and women! Otherwise, good.
Why close at 4pm when permitting is vital to the city? Government needs to work for us.. Not against
Why is there no phone number to contact a city agency. 630- CITY is a waste of anyone’s time.
I've given the elevators names: Reliable, breaky, shakey, droppy, and slowpoke.
