I was thoroughly impressed with the services provided by Nick G., the owner of Electrica. I discovered him through the list of certified EVSE (Electric Vehicle Service Equipment) installers on the Tesla website, as I needed assistance with the installation of a sub-panel and 2 Tesla Wall Connectors. Out of the five vendors I received proposals from, Nick was the only one who personally answered my phone call and made the effort to visit my house for a visual inspection of my electrical system before providing a quote. The other four competitors either relied on automated switchboards/voicemails or web submission forms. In fact, two of the vendors required me to take numerous pictures, write detailed descriptions, and create wiring sketches just to receive a quote. It felt like I was doing their job, and I couldn't help but think they should have compensated me for the 30-60 minutes I spent documenting the installation requirements. Additionally, one of the vendors was based in Los Angeles and relied on a remote estimator who would then outsource the work to a local electrician. In contrast, Electrica offered a fair and reasonable quote and provided personalized service. None of the other vendors offered the same level of personalized attention as Nick. From the beginning to the end, he was the sole person I interacted with over the phone, via text, and in person. With Nick promptly visiting my property within 24 hours to assess my electrical system, I didn't need to take dozens of pictures or communicate with multiple individuals. He took care of the paperwork for the city permit and patiently addressed all my queries, allowing me to remain minimally involved. Whenever I had questions regarding electrical code, he displayed extensive knowledge and provided insightful answers. Additionally, Nick's punctuality was remarkable—he was consistently on time for every appointment. On the day of installation, he even stayed late past 7 pm due to a Tesla commissioning incompatibility issue with my Wifi system. The problem was resolved by adjusting a setting in my router and had no relation to the electrical work being performed. Nick and his assistant executed an incredibly professional installation, employing meticulously run conduit from my main panel to the garage, where a sub-panel was installed and then split into two separate Tesla Wall Connectors. Nick assisted in configuring the system with Tesla's Power Sharing feature, enabling the dynamic allocation of the maximum 48A current between two vehicles charging simultaneously. His work was precise, and he even recorded torque measurements for each connection, as we discovered this was a requirement for passing the city inspection. Proper torque is essential to ensure secure and reliable connections, particularly when it comes to EV charging at high currents for extended periods compared to intermittent devices like washers, dryers, or stoves. Not all electricians take this extra step, but Nick went above and beyond by identifying and rectifying a main connector that had been improperly torqued by a previous electrician. I wholeheartedly recommend Nick at Electrica for his expertise, punctuality, and, most importantly, his friendly and easy-going demeanor. It was refreshing to work with a smaller local company that recognized me by name and treated me as an individual, rather than just another customer at a bureaucratic office. I am extremely satisfied with Nick's work and would confidently recommend him to others.

My experience with Nick at Electrica was fantastic. He was fast to respond, honest, communicative and stayed until the job was finished. Work to be done -- I am preparing my finished garage to become my new home office. In order to do that I needed to add multiple power outlets on a new 20amp circuit along with a 30amp circuit for a mini split AC/Heat Pump to be installed later. Experience -- Nick was able to come out and give me a quote very quickly. He offered a lot of expert advice to help in my decision process and helped me avoid some unnecessary spend. I needed an electrician to figure out a complicated, poorly wired circuit, when I noticed the ELECTRICA truck in a parking lot. There was something I liked about it, so I looked the company up on Yelp and decided to call. Nick quoted me a flat diagnostic fee and we made an appointment. When he tested things he didn't stop at, "I think this is what's going on." Instead, he kept digging until he found out EXACTLY what was wrong. That done, he suggested a solution and gave me a very reasonable bid. I asked, "Plus the diagnostic fee?" He said it would be waived if I accepted. I accepted. He went to buy parts, brought Andre, his helper, back with him, and they got right to work. The job involved running a considerable amount of solid conduit, both indoors and out, which can be unsightly. So I asked if he could place the indoor conduit along the seam where the wall and ceiling met. He said, "Sure," and that's exactly where it went. The outdoor conduit was done that way, too. The word that comes to mind is "meticulous." I found Nick very easy to work with. He's confident, communicative, punctual, and clean. I'm totally satisfied with his work and am super-happy I called.

I contacted Electrica for a quote to install a 240V power outlet so compare with a quote for another electrician. I was very impressed with their response time. They requested some extra information and provided me with a quote right away, without having to come and see my place. Note only was their quote lower than the first electrician I contacted, they were also available to do the work much sooner. The day of the install, the electrician showed up on time and did solid work. Everything looks great and works as expected. They were also careful to match exactly the specification I needed for my appliance. They had also given me a estimated completion time and they completed the work within this timeframe. I definitely recommend Electrica and would use again. Very professional and friendly.

I needed a tesla charger to be installed and went through yelp. Electrica reached out immediately and asked to schedule a consultation the very next day. Nick promptly showed up on the agreed time and after discussing my options, he gave a very modest estimate on the installation. The very next day he came in to install my charger which took 6 hours. Even though it was one of the hottest days in the month in san jose. He still worked through the blistering sun to get my charger installed. He also flagged some electrical safety hazards that I was not aware about since I was renting this home. He provided suggestions and alternatives to mitigate the situation. I would 100% hire these guys as they are very professional, quick, and responsive at all times.

I bought a Tesla a few months back and was relying on a regular wall charger but it wasn’t very efficient so I decided to invest into a Tesla wall charger. I found Electrica/Nick on Yelp, and communicating with him was very straight forward and easy. I sent him some photos of my current wall panel and send over my telephone and address, he arrived the next day took a look at the set up and suggested that I change some breakers and did a stress test before instillation but after that was complete he got the work done in about 6 hours, it was a breeze dealing with Nick. He is very insightful and skilled electrician. I would definitely recommend using his services for Tesla wall chargers and any electrical work.

I had a NEMA 14-50 outlet not working well so I called to get a quote to consider putting in a wall charger. Nick was available the next day (on a Saturday) to stop by. He immediately told me not to waste my money on a wall charge and just to repair the NEMA 14-50. He could have upsold me on more work for himself but didn't. He didn't have the part and asked if he could go get it and come back and do it which he did. So it was done less than 24 hours after calling for a quote. Also, he showed up early which is nice as most of the time service providers show up late.

Nick is a very nice and professional electrician! I contacted him about the circuit breaker issue in my house. Instead of directly quoting me, Nick first remotely diagnosed the issue and proposed two possible root causes free of charge. Turns out the problem can be simply fixed by pressing the reset button on the outlet. Nick did not charge me for anything, and saved me from the trouble. Such a nice person! Nick is the certified electrician guy that was helping install my Tesla wall charger version 3. At first, he came by to give a quote for free. Then, we just need to schedule an actual installation couple days in advance. I would recommend the company for a professional service and overall smooth experience. The total process took about 4hr because we need an extra 60A breaker to get the maximum 48A of the Tesla wall charger. He also gave some tips to maintain my car battery and house circuit.

I called Nick on Monday to discuss an install of an EV 220 volt outlet. He was at my house 30 mins later and began the work that day. He performed a capacity load test and was able to optimize my panel to support 60 Amps at the outlet. He finished the work on Tuesday. We’re currently waiting on AMAZON for our two hose charging unit to arrive on Friday. All in all I’d highly recommend Electrica.
