I have been going to Elixr now for over 2 years. I get the men's full back, shoulders and hands. Elixr does a exceptional job at removing every little hair and quite painlessly. I have been to other waxing venues and have not been completely satisfied. My past waxing have left me with those ugly red bumps that can last several weeks. Whats the point of waxing if you can't show off the work? Not so with Elixr. They provided me with an after waxing regime and exfoliating products that fend off those annoying bumps. Sierra is my go to. She is very professional, very sociable and quite experienced. Sierra has assured me that if I need to make an appointment where she is not available, the other estheticians are equally qualified. I look forward to my future visits with Elixr.

Took me 32 years to have my first ever waxing! I was given a Brazilian wax as a gift after finding out I was pregnant with my first baby. I came in and was randomly set up with Kayleigh who quickly calmed my nerves (I’m a red head and have Always had a higher sensitivity to pain). Needless to say I never had to worry about my growing belly being in the way to shave and she was extremely gentle.. so knowledgeable and friendly. Made the experience smooth and and painless as possible. And here I am with a membership and an 8 month old baby, not sure I will ever shave again because as a mother even shaving is time consuming lol! Love this place amazing costumer service!

The location was convenient and the reviews were very good. I haven't been waxed in over 6 years so I was a little nervous. Val waxed me and she was so kind and friendly. I wasn't as nervous as we went along. I got a Brazilian and was also a bit nervous about that kind of thing but once I got there I felt way more comfortable due to the atmosphere. The location is really cute and I was in and out quickly enough. I was surprised on how fast everything went and how little pain I experienced. Overall it was a great experience and I think that I would like to come back regularly.

My person was very friendly. Other than that is what not a great experience. Did not like that they used a mixture of waxes I perfer hard wax in my pubic mound also for a whole Brazilian in general. Unfortunately they also got wax on my string and it was getting pulled out. Also instead of trimming a little (they say not to trim yourself) the wax got stuck, it was not good. They also dont apply pressure after pulling strips which I have always found helpful. This place was just not for me. It was clean and the staff friendly but I wont got back.

I actually started off with the location off Adams Ave, one time in particular I waited 15-20 mins. I’m usually very patient, but that appt. took longer than expected. Downtown location is now my go to spot and seems to work best for me since I work a few blocks away and it’s convenient. Kayleigh Is the best! not only is she friendly, but very professional and knowledgeable as well. Most important of all, her dedication and attention to details. Thank you Kayleigh :)

I went to Kayleigh when she first started to do microblading. She's an amazing waxed BTW. I was her second client for microblading and they came out great. But, I didn't go for a touch up. Still looked great but didn't quite look like they originally did. I went in for a second microblading and she re-mapped my brows and used a darker pigment and they came out fabulously and are healing beautifully. Go there for whatever your needs are because they are the best.

I love this place! I have been going here since 2014. The staff is super friendly. I typically go see Angie there. She's been working there for awhile. I have gotten waxing done by different ladies there and they all do a good job! I would highly recommend since they are affordable compared to other places. You can book online or via phone. They sent you texts and emails for upcoming appointments or cancellations. Cute decor and very clean.

I’ve been going to Elixr Wax Bar downtown for over a year now and it’s been nothing but a great experience. Since the first time I got a wax from Kayleigh, I stuck with her. She’s super fast and thorough! For someone who’s been to countless waxing salons, I can honestly say Kayleigh is the best at her job! Prices are so reasonable as well! Become a member and you’ll get the best monthly deal I’ve found anywhere. Elixr is a hidden gem!

I come here every 6 weeks or so for the past 5 years. Full Back, upper arms, and neck. They run decent specials if you subscribe, but the normal price is $100 without tip for those 3. Appointments are pretty easy to get, and the staff has always been helpful. Parking can be a pain if you don't plan ahead but meters are usually open within a block or two and $1.25 gets you through your appointment. Highly recommend!

Absolutely horrible, I will never book another service here. Not only was I charged for my eyelash removal after them falling out one week post installation (and their website explicitly states it’s free for clients), I have never ONCE had a successful waxing experience. I always have to come back for a clean up. I have spent thousands of dollars here and I am so disgusted, upset, and feel taken advantage of.

I just moved to San Diego & I haven’t had my brows done since mid June so I was looking for a new place to go to. I found Elixr through google & I’m glad I scheduled my appointment with them. I’ll definitely keep going with them for future appointments. I was scheduled with Sierra and she did a really good job with my full face wax & shaped my eyebrows nicely. Definitely recommend you try them out.

I was able to schedule a last minute brow appt today with Kayleigh and she was absolutely amazing! I normally break out after I get a brow wax so she took the extra time to go over a few things that I can do to help plus she prep my skin before/ after to help avoid any break out. It's cute and not corporate feeling, very clean and I have been making appointments with Kayleigh, who makes you feel right at home and comfortable. Also, the pricing is awesome and affordable especially with the membership option they have. Overall a really great place!

Elixr is my go-to place whenever I visit San Diego! Why can't you guys have one in the SF Bay Area?! The girls there are all wonderful, the booking is easy, and very safety driven. They take temps on the way in the door, social distance as much as possible, but without compromising the friendly and fun atmosphere. I love it there!

Got my 1st Brazilian after 8 years today! It was with Olive and it was perfect. The whole place is very cute, clean, and Olive was very professional. She made me feel comfortable AF while she was a waxing machine, it was fast and I mean I am extremelyyyy happy with my new look. Lol It’s flawless. I feel like new.

Amanda is amazing! She made me feel so comfortable and confident. It was quick yet as pain-free as a wax can be. Their technique of combining the use of soft and hard wax is unique and I like it. I am definitely a new regular!
