I knew roughly what I wanted, but was new to the area and didn’t have an electrician I trust. Found Ellie’s Electricians via google maps: - spoke to Ellie on the phone - mentioned I wanted to install motion-activated lights above my front door and in the communal hallway - got a rough range from Ellie how many hours it could potentially take and roughly how much materials could cost (rough minimum and maximum) - important to recognise that it’s difficult to quote an exact price without seeing the property - agreed a timeslot for them to come visit a couple of days later Ellie’s team member Mark showed up bang on time, very friendly and professional. He thought the job through before starting the work and got the job done properly just as I wanted and within the rough price range that I had budgeted for. No shortcuts (no pun intended) just a job well done. Happy to now have a go-to electrician that I can trust. :)

I couldn't recommend Ellie's Electricians enough. We had a very professional service from the start. Conor turned up within the time slot we were given. He got on with the work immediately; quietly and efficiently throughout the day. It was quite a big job; changing out an old fuse board to a brand new one, testing and checking all electrical points and lights. He also did a few electrical repair jobs around the property such as fixing a ceiling light and replacing two wall mounted sockets. All materials were supplied and installed. The rates for this job were as expected and in my opinion not over charged. Conor's labour was very neat and professional. A very positive experience from Conor and Ellie's Electricians. I have used Ellies Electricians for the last few years and since the first time I used them until now, I have experienced nothing but a fantastic efficient and reliable service. They know the profession inside and out and mark is a great guy. I have given them jobs with properties I manage and they liaise with tenants and if they say they will be there at 8am you can guarantee they will be there at 8am. They are so organized thanks to ellie and this is why they stand out over other contractors. I have also on occasion needed to call up on bank holidays or weekends and regardless of the time or day they have attended and resolved the issue and were very reasonably priced. I have spent a small fortune over the years on electricians trying to fix the fault in our basement wiring. I had been told it was unfixable, that I just had to live with the circuit board tripping all the time, and one unscrupulous guy even tried to pressure me into spending thousands on a complete rewire. Mark from Ellie’s Electricians came and within half an hour he had located, removed and replaced a badly frayed bit of cable, tested the system and fixed it all up. He was really friendly, highly knowledgeable and explained the whole process clearly as he worked. Completely transparent fees, well worth paying. Superb service. Highly recommended.

Mark and his colleague/apprentice came over to built in a new fuse board as ours was very old and in desperate need of an upgrade. There had been a problem with one of the switches tripping and it was a very hard and frustrating job finding the problem as our house had been extended before we moved in. The guys worked extremely hard, they were always punctual, very professional and pleasant. Also Ellie was brilliant and helpful in booking us in and keeping us up to date - very professional. I can't praise them highly enough and will definitely recommend this company! Just brilliant and we will use them again soon!

The work delivered by Ellie's Electricians was fine but I am deeply unimpressed by their approach to charging for it. The electrician was at our house for 2+ hours doing the EICR and then spent around 10 minutes removing a plug socked and Sky TV aerial from our bedroom wall. I was then charged the full hourly rate of £102 for that 10 minutes of work on top of the cost of the EICR. When I complained I was told that this way of charging was made clear to me on the phone. It was not. I was told that any time after an initial hour of work would be charged on a pro rata basis. Very sharp practice

After an electrical fire we lost all the lighting from the second floor of our house. We contacted Ellie's electricians for an urgent visit and they were able to send us a very skilled, reliable and knowledgeable electrician very quickly. Mark ensured the ceiling was safe and restored all the lighting on the second floor. He then advised me what caused the fire and how to make the house safe. Mark corrected some work completed by a different electrician several months ago. He also ensured the circuit board was safe. I would highly recommend Ellie's electricians.

Fantastic service - from first calling them to completion of the job I felt completely reassured that I had made the right choice. Mark the electrician was friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. His thoroughness and excellent diagnostic skills meant the fault in my wiring could be located and repaired quickly, with the minimum of disruption. Danny did a great job. He was polite, personable, tidy and clearly explained an issue with an under cupboard light in the bathroom and searched diligently for the transformer, unfortunately with no success. The light remains halogen but he left the halogen bulbs from the 6 under cupboard lights in the kitchen, which are suitable for the kitchen light and will last a long time. An excellent job, very professionally executed and a company I will happily recommend to others.

Ellie’s Electricians The company run by women driven by men. The electricians (men) replaced an old fuse box and brought the house up to current British standard for electrical installation. The electricians were nice people tidy and explained what they were going to do and did it. Needed an emergency electrician to check some of our sockets which had previously been disconnected erroneously, and I was just about to get the wall replastered. Rang Ellie's Electricians and they had someone available within the hour. Timothy was quick, courteous and very knowledgeable - he was able to identify which sockets could be returned to the circuit and isolated those that we needed to disable due to some damp issues. Very impressed.

Arrived on time, observed all covid restrictions and was very polite. He ran through the works that were needed and told me a rough time to do the job. He also stressed that Ellie's did not compromise on the quality or look of the installation. Work was completed on-time and to a very very high standard. Cleaned up afterwards. Fantastic company. We had Conor attend on New Year’s Day as we had no power in our property. Ellie’s attended within 2 hours and after a quick look, he had found the issue. A small fire had started inside our consumer unit. Conor was able to change the consumer the same day and restored power throughout our property. We were extremely happy with the overall service and exceptional performance of the engineer.

We were looking for an electrician to perform a landlord’s EICR on a Saturday after another electrician let us down (the tenants were due to move in on the Monday!). Contacted a few local electricians, but Ellie responded first thing on Saturday morning and an electrician was there in the afternoon - on a Saturday! Mark and his team did a brilliant job and were consistently communicative and friendly. They ran into several issues that we weren't aware of (funny flooring etc.) as we only just moved, but dealt with everything calmly. Both were very very polite and friendly and Sammi ensured that I both understood the issues that had arisen with our faulty switches and went out of his way to resolve them as well as ensure that the sloppy work done by previous electricians was rectified to a high standard.
