""Prime location for those in Elwood, Elsterwick & North Brighton" A great local school that combines the communities of North Brighton, Elsternwick, Elwood and Gardenvale"
"Great school - both my children go here - the plan had been for Public school until grade 4, then private from grade 5 onward - based on how good our experience has been, we are now staying in EPS until grade six and only moving to private in year 7"
I write this review from the point of view of a partner of a staff member. My wife was an intervention staff at this school and all I could see was her happiness at work. We would chat about her day and she had only nice things to say and this revolved particularly around the professionalism and empathy shown by all teaching, admin and management staff. The principal of the school - Michael Portaro, is very supportive and kind towards the staff and genuine in his approach. The HR team, especially Devaki is also very supportive, proactive and professional in her approach. Overall, it felt very nice to see my partner happy at her workplace which was healthy and conducive towards her personal and professional growth. A five star for the work culture, the friendliness, empathy and Michael. I am not a teacher, but if I were one, I would want to work for such a school!
My two daughters currently attend this primary school and they throughly enjoy their time there. Their friends come from various neighborhoods and the school manages to keep everyone in sync. I would totally recommend this school to anyone who wants their child(ren) to attend. Plenty of reading and cultural programs plus after school activities with after school care. In addition to great sporting programs and advancement skill sessions in dance, art etc. Also the school is improving the maintenance of the centres and grounds and facilities with numerous buildings enhancements to enable the school to deliver its educational and recreational outcomes and comply with all relevant codes and practices. Great area great location great education.
Elsternwick Primary School is an excellent school that fosters a positive and inclusive environment for all of its community members. There is a strong emphasis on both wellbeing and academic excellence. The principal and leadership team are professional, friendly and supportive. The quality of teaching is of the highest standard, and the teachers are enthusiastic about making learning as engaging as possible for every student. The Education Support staff are dedicated and go above and beyond to provide individualised student support. It is very clear that students and staff take great pride in being part of the Elsternwick Primary School community. I highly recommend this school.
"Prime location for those in Elwood, Elsterwick & North Brighton" A great local school that combines the communities of North Brighton, Elsternwick, Elwood and Gardenvale. Our kids enjoy the great outdoor space and the engaged teaching staff. The Principal and his deputy are a young, active and progressive pair of hands! There is a strong focus on 'value-teaching' for the children, sports and reconciliation. The doors are open for feedback and active engagement.
Great school - both my children go here - the plan had been for Public school until grade 4, then private from grade 5 onward - based on how good our experience has been, we are now staying in EPS until grade six and only moving to private in year 7. Grounds, education program and teachers are as good as it gets in a local primary school, added to the fact our kids love going to school each day - we couldn't ask for more.
I have had experience with Miss Crowe and she is one of the best teachers I have come across in my life. She is a very down to earth person, kind hearted, dedicated, determined and loves teaching. We need more teachers like Miss Crowe. I would like to thank her for all the effort she puts into teaching and tries to help others all the time. Good luck Miss Crowe and all the best for all your future endeavours.
I was recently given a guided tour of this beautiful school by the charismatic Principal. When the time comes for my children to begin their primary education, I cannot think of a better place to send them. The friendliness of staff and students is a testament to the positive attitude of the whole team. First class facilities also make this an easy choice.
Wonderful school with a great community. Dedicated teachers who support their students from a educational and wellbeing perspective. The quality of learning is exceptional and student voice is a focus. A professional well led school, where staff and students take pride in their school. I thoroughly recommend Elsternwick Primary School.
My children have just started at this school. The quality of learning and support they are getting is outstanding; within the first week they have been given individual reading goals and have been guided to develop relationships with their peers to support their learning and development.
I highly recommend Elsternwick Primary School. I have 2 children currently attending and we are very happy.. There is a real sense of community and a great emphasis on Well Being for the students. It has an inclusive, supportive culture for all children and their families.
I have been a parent at the school since 2015 and highly recommend it! All of my children are well supported both educationally and from a well-being perspective. The school has a great community and the principal, staff and facilities are excellent.
