Nice and friendly staff. only thing that i don't like in barber shops is that when a barber turns you to hall not to the mirror and you can't see the whole process. I like to be watching the whole process so i can make comments and ask a barber to do shorter or leave longer some parts. unfortunately it was the only barber shop that opens at 8am and i didn't like the first my haircut was done the first time by a male barber, as he wouldn't let me look at the mirror during the haircut i couldn't stop him during he was trimming my side hair and i really didn't like it but it was too late because he turned me to the mirror side after he was done with the haircut. but he's very friendly, you can tell he's trying to make the best haircut in his own mind but i would suggest to ask the clients their preferences for every part and details or keep them facing the mirror so we can make a comment and correct you in the right time. anyways i left him 10$ tips second i had to go to this studio again the day after my first visit as i said it's the only one open at 8am, i needed to correct the parts i wasn't happy and a lady barber called me for her seat, she did good but again the problem is they don't keep you facing the mirror but still i wanted to show my appreciation and left her 20$ tips because the service and the way they treat is good expect the part with mirrors.

Not a good place, I called to get a quote on how much it would cost to give my son a haircut. The lady that answered didn't speak well in English so I spoke to her in Spanish, she was very short with me on the phone and didn't understand what style of haircut I wanted for my son so she hangs up on me. I call again and no answer, I leave a message saying that maybe it was my phone that hung up. Finally I got through and spoke to the lady at Elvia's unisex place and tried to explain what style of haircut my son needed and until what time is she open, she hangs up on me again. So I was desperate to find someone soon, so I found Rigo's Barber shop on the map, my husband called and the guy on the phone was so courteous and helpful and said he could give my son the haircut we wanted and knew what kind of style we were talking about. Thanks Rigo's Barber shop you made our day.

Super disappointed with this place, I only took the time to go was because of the reviews. As I walked in it was dead silent for a while if it wasn’t because I spoke I believe the silence would of continued. Wasn’t even greeted or asked “how can I help you” the atmosphere felt like I was unwanted. I just went into ask the price for a hair cut in layers. But when I continued to ask questions to something I wasn’t sure. I was looked at like if I was stupid. I asked how much would it be if I just cut the tips and the lady there shrugged her shoulders and and gave me a look as if I was suppose to know. I would not recommend this place at all. There rude and entitle, wish I could give them 0 starts worst place ever.

Me and my girlfriend came in for cuts, mine was great but my girlfriend spent almost 2 hours getting a Karen bob instead of the undercut fade she asked for. The lady who was cutting her hair was constantly confused and asking the lady with pink highlights what to do. My girlfriend left the shop thinking the final cut was kind of ok and cute but after getting home we saw how badly the neck line was cut and other parts that were not quality. Now she is very depressed as it took a long time to grow and now it is to short. If a stylist doesn't know how to give the cut the client wants they need to say so instead of just going for it. We are not please.

I made an appointment and they took me in right away and they let me go back home so I can get cash so that's the only two things I liked about this place. I've been to other hair salons and they always would wet my hair before cutting it but this time I found it odd for the guy to not do that. All I wanted was my hair to be shorter and straight but he didn't do what I wanted. I got home I showed my sisters my hair and they told me that it wasn't even I came here because the reviews were all good. now I have to find another hair salon so they can fix my hair

So I hadn't gotten a haircut since before Corona started so this was a new experience. I went on Google maps and was looking around for barber shops and obviously reading reviews to make the wisest decision where to go. So I called Elvia's Unisex Barbershop to set up appointment by phone. Obed (the barber who cut my hair) answered better than most barber shops in the area answered all my questions and set me up with an appointment. Long story short it was a phenomenal experience 100% RECOMMENDED.

Ive been going for a while and ive never had any complaints. This last time i went i got there 15 minutes before they opened and there was 2 people already there, when they finally opened they told us to put our name down in the order that we got there which was pointless. The barbers started picking and choosing whose hair they wanted to cut ignoring the fact that ive been sitting there for an hour. This is a supposed to be a business and that is not how a business should be run.

Been coming here for about 3 years now. Love the service always quick when attending the customers, like how they acknowledge you when you walk through the door. I have cut my hair with almost everyone there and they all do a good job they take their time cutting your hair, not like other places they do it quick just to get you out the door. I like how they clean their station before they start with the next customer. Would recommend coming here, you won’t waste your time.

Great place!!! Very happy I went here, went strictly of google reviews! ( which sometime can be misleading) These people (booth #7 are for real a 4.8!!!. Apparently these people only hire the best. My first Time in Phoenix, first time getting my haircut in Phoenix and the lady that cut my hair, just got hired! I was completely satisfied with booth #7 5 stars!

I've had so many barbers who didnt leave me right. I told this to a worker here and she did everything and worked with me in her words to find my style which I felt was beautiful. Went in for a haircut and was told 20 minutes. An hour later a hairstylist became available but was told that she was requested by a lot of people that came in after me and that another one would be available in 10 minutes. Waited 10 more minutes and still not available so I left. No apologies for waiting so long or anything.

I've been coming here for a year now and plan to continue coming. I feel so taken care of, and you can book a time without a bunch of hoops and no deposit necessary. No doubt the spot for male and female styles. Clean, friendly, English and Spanish. Welcoming greeting when I walked in. I signed in, waited may 2 minutes and was called back for my turn. It was pretty awesome, especially since some places are just the opposite. This is my new spot!

I asked for a mid fade and I went with Carolina and she went to up and instead of marking the fade like every barber I’ve been with she immediately starts cutting the upper side and ended up leaving me like this I didn’t want to be a problematic customer so I just smiled and paid.

My experience here at Elvia's Salon is incredible real friendly barbers and the best in hearing what you want cut and follow great directions in your style. I am super grateful that I have this barbershop as my go to Thank you guys so much see you soon.

It’s unisex, not interracial. They stared at me, didn’t want to greet me and made me feel unwelcome. I left without being serviced. Also, I was told it was a 45 minute wait, which was fine but she said it like I wasn’t supposed to want to wait. Sad.

I’ve been going here consistently for years. The ladies there know what they are doing. Easy atmosphere. I’d recommend cutting your hair with this young lady that has silver hair. She’s really good at what she does - best barber I’ve met hands down.

I walk in and there's literally 7 people that work there that are standing around with not one customer inside but was told I would have to wait at least 30 minutes for a haircut because I didn't make an appointment.

1st time there and Rocio did a great job. This spot is every but as good as any top dollar spots I've been to. All that being said, it was way less expensive. She took her time and it showed. I'll definitely be back.

Went at 10am and the doors were locked even though all the signs said open and I could see people inside. Tried to call but the man who answered did not speak English.
