I find it quite irrational and unprofessional for my calls to go to a VM that is not initialized, the automated message says, " your call has been forwarded to a voice mail that is not initialized by the customer you are trying to reach, when you call the customer at a later date please advise the customer to initialize their voice mail". sorry but such is not what I expect when I placed a call to a number supposed to be representing a country with over 100 million people. 11 months later the same insult remains with the Ethiopian Embassy, this office should be closed or act professionally. Otherwise I call it an insult to the Over 100 million Ethiopians. Friendly advise: Please initialize your VM with professional greeting. Thank you.

HI I would like to add my appreciation for the best service I have received from your office, I was about to renew my Ethiopian Origin ID card that has expired, I had some questions about the form and the fee, I called in no one answered and in a few minutes I got a call back and they answered my question, next day I have forgotten to ask about where to send it ( The address to send it too because the office had a new unit # ) so I called again no answer I didn't even leave a message I got a call back again and problem solved , Thank You for excellent service

I have been using Ethiopian Embassy Service while I was on refugee in Sudan or Egypt either in Israel. I had awful experiences. But now I am in Canada I am Canadian. But the last few days I was contacting the Embassy the service . first of all I was warm greeting by Tsehay Alemu with great Ethiopian traditional way. Then she handle my application very politely and professionally. She is very helpful women and wondefull service. I would like to say thank you. Pls continue your good job with good heart.

It’s hard to fathom, that an embassy that represents an entire country doesn’t have a proper, professional voicemail that says “ The person you are calling is not available at the moment ”really am I calling someone’s personal phone or an embassy. I’ve been trying to reach the embassy for months now, but still no answer. I don’t know who’s running this place but they need to revamp the entire staff.#Shameful

Un reasonable Passport renewal fee, like 350CAD and still not received my passport after 3months of my application. There is no way to contact and complain there services. The embassy is for the people, isn't it?. please, learn to do your job. At least you are getting paid from the poorest people in the world. I am very disappointed and felt like am not from Ethiopia.

This office is utterly ridiculous, unprofessional and simple ignorant of its own policies and protocol. Their phone is often inactive and when in service its never answered. I wonder if this is intentional or they're just clueless. What a shame! They were better than this...

I dont know the embassy is aware of it but it is hard to find their phone contacts in the internet. I dont see any reason not to avail themselves. I live in winnipeg and the Ethiopian community here in here is the least functional compared to other communities in Canada.

Can someone please tell me why their phone number is not active? “The number you are trying to reach isn’t taking any calls at the moment…” you’re the Ethiopian EMBASSY. How are you not taking any calls?? Urgent or not, no one can reach them! Absolutely pathetic!!

The man at extension 210 is the most rude and offensive person in the history of customer service. He is angry and lacks respect and has anger in his tone. Aweful! We just hope for the day when we don't have to deal with such service, ever!

Please pickup the phone, it's the least thing that you can do for your clients. The VM even not activated and I think that's because of not to take responsibility to call back. Frustrated!!

The embassy staff are so helpful. They have provided exceptional service. They go above and beyond, including coming in on a Saturday, to deal with our emergency. This is very exemplary.
