Just out for a drive and decided to stop here for dinner not a good choice, we ordered a red curry chicken a massaman and coconut rice, we noticed a few flies buzzing around (* flies are a pet hate of mine) the meal arrived and the rice was totally inedible it looked like it was steamed rice with coconut milk poured through it sticky wet and so so sweet , we asked the waitress to replace it with just steamed rice which she did with no problem. both the curries were ok nothing outstanding . What bothered us most were flies landing on the table on and us and our water glasses we spent the next 30 minutes shooing flies away from our food. In the end we asked the waitress if she could possibly do anything about this, the response was prompt someone from the kitchen brought out a fan and switched it on don't know what that was going to do to the flies except cool them down we gave up and asked for the bill. Going to pay the bill at the reception desk I was greeted by a waitress with a forkful of food in her mouth she was actually eating behind the desk in full view of patrons.Needless to say we will not be back.

Ordered over the phone tonight. During my call I advised one of the meals ordered was steamed fish with Blackbean sauce. This had to be separated due to a medical condition. The young boy on the phone mentioned it wouldn't be an issue. We picked up the order came home to find out the order was incorrect. Called back and was apologised too. When we went back to the restaurant we questioned about being overcharged but were spoken to rudely by two young female staff. They advised one of the orders they gave us was incorrect and if we want to get our steamed fish we need to go back home and return it. Overall didn't receive the steam fish with blackbean sauce for my daughter in Law who has a strict medical condition. Instead your employees cared more about being confrontational then to resolve the matter. We have been going to Emerald Thai for years and due to this behaviour we will not be coming back again. Have lost loyal customers.

I am mystified about other reviews commenting on service. I have had so many meals from this restaurant over many years and the young front of house staff are nothing but helpful and polite. This restaurant is always clean and tidy and the food is well priced. My guess is I have tried at least 20 different things from the menu and I have never been disappointed. I have on occasion asked for an ingredient to be left out for a guest, or requested a dish particularly spicy and that has been welcomed. I can't recall ever receiving the wrong meal, or having a concern with serving size or any of those things that can go wrong. I have seen many restaurants and cafes come and go in this area, and there is a good reason this one is still thriving. Order and eat here with full confidence, you wont be disappointed.

Emerald Thai is our regular take away in Emerald. Food is consistent and of decent quality, and they're very accomodating to our changes (we mostly want green veggies only which are of the best quality here). My only major complaint is that everything is 50% too sweet, especially the soups and curries. I wish they offered a reduced sugar / traditional option with their dishes. Stir fries and most other dishes are typically great even if somewhat lacking in complexity, i.e. no nuts or beanshoots in the Pad Thai etc.

Food tastes good but became sick after eating here. I have eaten here several times but noticed feeling nauseous and sick soon after. My son ended up in hospital, and I had a high temperature with nausea. Was a suspected case of food poisoning from Clostridium perfringens bacteria. This is present in meat that is left too long after being cooked or not thoroughly reheated before serving.

Pub was too busy, so diverted to Thai Emerald- just such attentive an$ lovely service and top Thai food see presented- good range of drinks - really nice bottle of wine - all at really good prices. we will be back- A GREAT FIND!

We just recently moved into the area and one of the first meals we had was from Emerald Thai. Some of the tastiest Thai food I've had, great prices and I was particularly impressed by the amount of duck in the red duck curry! Service was quick and efficient too. Can't really fault anything so I'll definitely be back to try some of the other dishes they have!

I ordered my dinner, which came to just under $18.60. They wouldnt accept my card unless they could charge me their minimum $20 for the use of their eftpos machine. They just assumed it would be fine to charge me $20. Nope. On principal alone I walked away.

Delicious every time. We have only had takeaway due to the endless VIC lockdowns however regardless the food is always so delicious, fresh and well sized. Never had any issue with a dish. Looking forward to being able to dine in ! *Some of the poor / 1 star reviews I see here I suspect are for Emerald QLD.

We had some great food tonight , started with the roti bread then a green chicken curry and masaman beef. Thanks also to Emily for great service with a smile.

Emerald Thai is our Sunday night go to, The Red Curry with Duck is amazing, Satay Chicken skewers another favorite, And with so many great Thai dishes on the menu, There's always something new and exciting to try, The staff always friendly and very accommodating for both take away and dining in.

What a great, cute little place for a delicious dinner!! First of all Tess, was absolutely lovely. Her service was warm, professional and friendly! The food was delicious. Vegetables in abundance and just yummy! Highly recommend!

Rude! Staff made a mistake in the order refused to fix the problem with out charging us for there mistake. Spent over $90 and the 2 girls serving were nothing but rude when trying to fix the problem.

Small Thai restaurant in Emerald with limited seating but the food was great and certainly will be back in the future. Service and servings were excellent. Chicken satay and spring rolls perfect, main dishes really good too.

I have been a regular customer for the last 5+ years, would not go anywhere else. The food is amazing. So tasty and fresh. Never had a bad meal. Lovely girls at the counter too, very polite & fast service.
