Former student, graduated in 2011 and attended from 2007 - 2011. Please avoid this school if at all possible. Home schooling would be a better option than spending 4 years of your life here. The quality of education is bottom of the barrel at best. The courses are heavily watered down in order to allow more students to pass. The end result is poor education that doesn't prepare you adequately for University / College. If you’ve earned As at Emery CI, you'll be earning Ds and Cs for the first two years in university. If you’re at Emery CI right now and planning on going to university, I highly recommend supplementing your education with additional material from online courses before starting university. Many of the teachers are nice, easy to get along with and go the extra mile to help their students succeed. There are some exceptions, some teachers are so out of touch with reality that their teaching licenses should be revoked. The student population in general are subpar. Majority of them lack common sense, decency, morals, manners and intelligence. Only a handful of students aspire to gain an education and move forward to higher education or the work force. The school’s environment is generally clean, however there are messy pockets around the school. Some of the exterior around the school is crumbling like the sidewalks. The layout, lighting and interior of the building is depressing and can have a big impact on student’s learning. The tech equipment available to students is outdated and is often non-functional. This extends to computers, projectors and TVs. Overall, terrible education, horrible students, decent environment, outdated technology and good teachers.

This school sucks, ghetto students who think that they are all that, and can mess around with any one they want. But it is not only students, this school has the most worst teachers in the world, they dont care about your future and they only come there to walk around and mock students. In class, students act like monkeys and teachers dont give a damn. I dont even know how this school is standing right now, it has some of the most stupidest people in the world, from stupid students who come to skip class the whole day to old ass teachers who wont even retire even if they found out they were about to die. Never come to this school, only come come if you are looking to graduate with no future. I mean its not impossible to get a good future but you gotta work harder for it, cause you gotta learn every god damn thing in class yourself and you have to deal with stupid teachers yourself too, so that they dont fail you for no reason. I know some teachers that have failed students just because they didnt like the student, and also teachers failing more than half the students in a class. Right now i think that this school will prolly close down in like 2/3 years. Never come to this school.

Absolutely horrible school. Since my first day as a freshman I was bullied and it just never stopped as the school year went by. The students here are vicious and uncontrollable. No one cares about their academics. Vaping in the halls, fighting, skipping class, stealing, it's just a very damaging environment to come to every day. There are only a couple good teachers that you can trust. My science teacher failed me despite me trying my best. Not to mention she failed at least half her students with no care in the world. Emery sucks and my 1 year here has mentally damaged me. I will be moving schools for my sophomore year, and it is safe to say I will NEVER revisit this place. I wish to erase any memory I've had at this school. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE.

Not the best school to go to. The teachers are nice and there are a variety of courses, but the students are terrible. Half of them sit around in the halls, and the other half care just enough to pass. You can see this from the yearly results of this school, almost always at the bottom of the list. Note mentioning is that this school does not cover the material actually needed for University, at least not enough for first year engineering or anything of the sort, even if you were in their cyber science course. A lot of other schools cover far more than this school, and maybe that's because only 1% of the students can actually keep up.

Emery CI is a good school. If you are new, I urge you to not be distructed by bad students and if just do your work, you will be ok. I still remember some of the best teachers who never gave up, even though some students became very impolite. I express my respect and thanks to Mrs. Billard, Sammy Benyamin, Maria Fuentes, Barbara Florence, Audrey Dwyer, Mrs. Enta, and many more. I appreciate all the support and good work that the teachers did and do for us. Thank you. Be blessed!

This is the place where I was when 9/11 happened. I madey best friends HERE, the only friends I have until this date. The only sad part is that this intersection was heavily infiltrated by crack cocaine, and A LOT of classmates i knew became dealers and criminals. I don't know why but maybe because Jane & Finch was to close.

Despite all the fights and stabbings back when I went here from 2009-12, it’s a decent school. In terms of aesthetics and how it looks, it’s not the prettiest, nor cleanest, nor friendly.
