Been rip off: I am customer over 10 years never had problem with my all rented car from you. This time me and my wife checked the vechile and had to tell the staff about the scratches . I missed one very small at the back of the car and didn't see it because the car hatchback facing the dark side of the hall. and it does not seems to be something happened recently small bend straight under vaxhall zafera logo in the back door there is no way this could happened by external act. I beleive also its not the size to charge for the customer. After we returned the car different person checked the car and told us about the bend, because we didn't know and we were surprised and told him this is not happened during our rent time, he didn't believe us we told him ask the person who checked the car for us. And we were there the person said I didn't know if it was there, and still they charged us for it although there is no any time that we are away from the car so as to be damaged. The point is not the money they charged us, its a commitment or responsibility and honesty if this happened during our rent we will tell the truth not waiting for them to find it out. We asked them to check at least 3 contracts rent before us for this car to make sure may be one of the other has spot it before, they said they did but I don't trust them. Personally I believe its not a damage to charge customer for. And its not worth to complain about it but since I received this evaluation e-mail thought to give it a go. Probably one of the worst car rental experiences I've had. After a car crash I was told to visit the store by my insurers and told my insurers never again afterwards. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with 'We are actually having a competition, if you could kindly email our area manager to tell him how good our service is while you wait for your car that would be great'. Then handed a business card - for Richard something (the area manager) - and repeatedly asked to send him an email until I said that I wouldn't until I got the car. Very uncomfortable pressure and if that wasn't enough it felt like I had walked into a lads club or social club. Loud, obnoxious, staff, desperately trying to all act professional without realising it felt like I was walking into an episode of the Apprentice. All trying so hard to prove themselves with loud and brash behaviour and constantly cracking jokes and shouting amongst themselves. Then proceeded to have an argument in store with a 'blacklisted' customer and even though he may have been blacklisted the lack of respect and decency in speech was obvious - please take it to a backroom at least. The room where the cars are kept is very dark but that's minor in comparison to the customer service. When shown to the car it was again in a very curt and fake businessman attitude, not realising that people in business do not act like that and act with decency and friendliness towards customers. Will not be back and would recommend to use another store at all costs.
Sadly have to revert my glowing review as customer service has taken a nose dive since the new staff started. No interest in retaining a long time customer since the new staff came in. Surely the agent did everything by the book when I reported some scratches (I didn't try to hide them). However, asking me if I'm a frequent customer (yes, I rent quite a lot from you), smiling at me and going "That's £1000 please." was a bit off the mark. When I pointed out that previous staff had been more flexible in exercising their discretion, I was told that "oh, yeah, other people do that." (Clearly not him) When I asked how quickly this would be resolved, was told it could be up to 4 weeks, despite me pointing out that my insurance had a time limit on claims, so I'm likely not getting my money back. This was 3 weeks ago. I have since not had an update (previous staff were very good at that) nor any communication. There seems to be an implicit assumption that it's my responsibility to chase this - not good customer service. While previously I didn’t even bother to look elsewhere, because the staff had built excellent trust and a nice relationship, I will now shop around. It took the branch staff a good 2 years to build this trust up. One interaction destroyed it.
We where very annoyed with the van we received on Christmas Eve. It was dirty inside and we had originally ordered a small car, but they didn't have any so charged us more for the van on arrival. After traveling to Wales we then found out the oil cap had been left off and oil had gone all over the engine. We then didn't want to drive it once home incase it ruined the van. Called up and the two people I spoke to on the phone didn't seem bothered at all. In this case I wouldn't even be giving a star On returning the van the staff member we spoke to, the assistant manager, Tim absolutely changed our experience. He helped us book another car so we can now do the traveling we were not able to do in the van. He also refunded the money we paid extra for the van as that wasn't our fault they didn't have the car in we had booked and it was a miscommunication with the booking office. He also gave us a refund on part of the price of the van we had paid. He was so apologetic. He didn't have to go out of his way as he did, but it's greatly appreciated. As a customer who has used enterprise a few times I was intent on not returning. But due to Tims attitude I will 100% be using them again.
I booked a car with them for a weekend. 1 month before the rental weekend, i uploaded to their site bank details, driving license etc. I hold a EU driving license, in the booking confirmation terms and agreement says that they accept debit OR a credit card. The morning I needed the car, went to pick it up and they denied to start the rental because I do not have a credit card. I explained the situation, tryed to provide other proofs of address like bill, contract etc, they did not accept anything else. They kept saying the same thing over and over again, they need to run a DVLA check, which I completely understand, they should do it every time, but please let us know that a credit card is required if we hold a EU driving license, the date we made the booking and gave you all the details, (10th of January, and the rental was to start 16th of February). I got bookings on sites in London and Warwick worth over 400£ for my family so we got really stressed. Thankfully I hired a car through Karshare, for same price and bigger category.
Very unprofessional. We had booked a car from the website and completed all the details, uploaded the driving license and everything. We were planning to go to other cities by this car and had booked tickets for different attractions. On the hire starting day we went to get the car and although everything was ready, they told us that we can't get the car because we have international driving licence and for that reason we need to pay with credit card. Unfortunately, we didn't have a credit card, so we didn't get the car. We checked all the emails to see if that was mentioned anywhere but nothing was mentioned about international driving licence and credit cards. How would we know that we needed a credit card? They could have seen that we uploaded a non-UK driving licence some weeks ago when we made the booking and let us know. Now all the plans had to change last minute. Avoid them if you don't want to have unpleasant surprises. There are so many more places to hire a car from. Thanks to karshare we managed to travel in the end.
First time using this branch. I booked online and called the branch directly to find out if there were any documents I needed to bring. We actually had a problem with our upgraded car during the rental period, but the staff were responsive (thanks to Marwan and Alastair in particular). Something thing to bear in mind is that this office shuts at 5pm on weekdays, and only opens until 12 on Saturdays (closed on Sundays). I was very lucky that when I found out there was a problem it was 4:55pm so I could speak to someone to see what the solution could be for the next day. The only suggestion for improvement is that perhaps the branch should be open for longer hours! Otherwise customer service is great, and the rates are reasonable, too (week rental). Although it wasn't a perfect trip due to the unexpected issue, considering the way our problem was handled by the staff, I would not hesitate to come back again.
I hired a car in December, and had an awful experience. I took photos of the car when I picked it up but was told that this was not necessary by staff as all marks smaller smaller than a golf ball would be ignored, including a scratch on the tyre. After arriving at my destination to drop off the car, the next branch told me the scratch on the tyre would need to be paid for by me. I was told that the 'golf ball' size advice from Stirchley was incorrect. I was then charged £210 for the repair of the tyre, including a £50 admin fee which I was told would be refunded but has not been. Overall, really disappointing to be assured by one branch not to worry then fined by another as a result. In addition COVID-19 safety measures were poor at the Stirchley branch, only one member of staff was wearing a mask even when dealing with customers in close proximity.
I had a car following a none fault RTA, was told I'd get a like-for-like vehicle. This did not happen in many ways. The car I had didn't have a sat nav and wasn't a good brand which made the rest awful; was an automatic (I have an automatic) which was clunky and jerky, struggled to reverse, the interior was basic and the main functions didn't work or couldn't use them at night. In terms of service, they were suppose to call within 2 hours of me notifying my insurance company; that didn't happen and I ended up calling them three days later-they don't open on Sundays. Once arranged, the manager appeared to be a control freak and was blunt to the point of almost being rude. Next time, I won't use them. I'll never use them again.
Two weeks ago my Mrs had an accident. We were directed to enterprise stirchley by the insurance. Nadim was the person who served us, young man god bless him, was so helpful and explained everything clearly. As at first I was worried about the hired car's responsibility but how he explained everything and assured us with his friendly personality. He explained step by step everything which was really helpful. After my stoke it's my Mrs who drives kids to school and household stuf. Her accident, then dealing with insurance and later take responsibility of hired car was too much for me and to let her deal with all these was so challenging but I really appreciate stirchley stuff for help, Thank you....
I recently hired a car and the customer service I received was the best I’ve ever had. Javed was very professional, polite and friendly . In fact he took me back to how good old fashioned customer service used to be and it was so obvious watching how they dealt the same with every customer that walked in. Nothing was too much trouble. The hire cars were virtually brand new and it was luxury driving a lovely car. There is a choice of cars. I came away in awe of Javed , he really is an asset to this company and I hope he’ll get the praise he deserves. He could certainly teach other companies how to treat customers. The desk staff are great. Always happy to see you. They always make you aware of upgrade options and additional facilities/cover. They don't hard sell extras which is very good and customers feel at ease throughout the process of hiring. They will always pick up and drop off home when requested and the process of picking up and dropping off the vehicle is smooth and quick. I have rented many times there recently and they will do their very best to accommodate the customer. Thanks to Gavin, Sophie, Nathan, Stefan and rest of team for a great Enterprise site. A little late sharing my review. I hired from the Stirchley, Birmingham branch over the 2022 New Year. I came to the Stirchley branch because Ash has moved here. Excellent service from Ash ensuring that I had the right vehicle for my needs. I requested a 7 seater, preferably an automatic as I was doing a long drive to Glasgow. And Ash went out of his way to source this for me. Ash definitely is an asset to Enterprise. His team members Jav and Adam provided excellent customer service and took care of my booking on the day as Ash was out on a job. Highly recommend.
TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND A COMPLETE MESS UP! I booked a vehicle online. Called their contact centre to confirm details of booking as online form did not confirm booking. Lady on the phone confirmed the booking and took details and debit card number. Confirmation email sent. Went to branch to collect vehicle, only to be told they cannot release car unless I pay with credit card!! I was apparently called yesterday, which is totally false. I explained to the girl on the phone I don't use credit cards and she was fine with that. Complete waste of time and lies.
I do not recommend renting to anyone in this place and I will never again use the service I received today. I can't believe it, how can you deal with people this way? I booked a van at 2 pm I got in the car and I go to pick it up I get a phone call that the van will not be at 4pm. 10 minutes before 4 pm I get the phone call that the van is reddy to pickup great but i have 30 minutes drive to get it there okey nice ......people say that he will not wait there because I work until 4pm I have no words deceived by them and zero respect for people
We have a courtesy car from them via our insurance company. They call us every week about when we return the car, but since everything was handled via the insurance company we can't give this info to them, nor we know when our car will be repaired. Now they started threatening us with taking the car back. This kind of customer harrasment is unacceptable in any business. I understand it's their car, but they provide a service with it to a customer and they should go and sort their problems out with the insurer who pays for the rent.
Recently used Enterprise Stirchley who work prefer to use as it is in the most convenient location. Dealt with many rental companies over the years but this is service from Ashley and I believe Javed were second to none. Car was delivered on time to the office. Car was clean and in great condition. Very clear information of return of vehicle and time of collection from Javed and Ashley. Keep up the great work guys, I know you guys take pride in representing Enterprise and hope your continue to deliver a brilliant service.
Do not use. An insurance company booked a replacement car with Enterprise for me to use on behalf of their client. I get a phone call an hour before the car is due to turn up asking for the relevant details such as driving licence which is fine. They then asked was I employed and who I worked for. I said that I wasn't prepared to give that information and they said that if I didn't give them that information then I couldn't rent a car. I am now in a position where my car is being repaired and I am without a car.
We rent a car for 2 hours from Heathrow with pl off in Birmingham. We were charged for petrol even tho we had receipt that we topped up the car (we were refunded after complain) then we get mail that we have a fine we need to pay for the car on the same day we returned it but later in the day! I don't know who is working in there but you have to be very stupid or to be very dodgy . We wait the refund for the fine since we returned the car before they say they received the fine. worse company ever
It's not very good. The credit check system is not good at all. Out of 5 drivers only 1 in very limited circumstances will pass. Credit check is not good. If however you are given a car by insurance or taken out loans your all good. Nice selection of cars, but limited avalibilty. Only if a car is provided as business or insurance is it any good. If private you don't have a chance. PS We are not talking prestige cars as this was a box standard Renault Clio. So credit check on all cars.
Never want to rent from them again! Hired a car and took out extra insurance. I got charged for a mark on the tyre and an apparent mark on the alloy which were the smallest of things! Must have been there before the rental as the car was parked on a drive. Staff were unhelpful and still haven't emailed me pictures to dispute after saying they would 3 times! It's now been 2 weeks and heard nothing. Would definitely be taking my business elsewhere.
Cancelled our booking with 30 minutes notice on a bank holiday weekend. Impossible to find another car. Holiday ruined. EDIT: Following Chris R reaching out in response to the review above on 29/08/20, I emailed Enterprise Stirchley on 13/09/20. Enterprise replied on 14/09/20 asking for my number to call and talk about the incident. I responded with phone number on 22/09/20. It is now 10/10/20, nearly three weeks later with no follow up.
I've used Enterprise for over 10 years now and have had an all round good experience with them. After my last experience I had at my local at Enterprise Stirchley, Birmingham I was quite unhappy. However the gentleman who assisted me, Jaz, had noticed this so he refunded me the cost of car rental for 1 day. For this reason I'll continue to use Enterprise and if it wasn't for the prices being a little too high I'd rate them 5 stars
Tried to hire a car through my AA breakdown. I was told they had no cars for 3 days, when I questioned this as I'm disabled and desperately needed a car to empty my recently deceased fathers apartment they became rude and cut me off. I then found they had told the AA I had sworn and been aggressive- this was not at all true, I NEVER swear. At my time of need they totally failed me. Will never use the Stirchley branch ever again.
Came here to pick up my rental car service and staff was brilliant. Car was ready and clean looked brand new and had plenty of fuel in. Was charged for 10 days initially but told if brought back earlier then would be refunded only had for 7 days and returning was as easy as pick up told refund takes up to 3 days and that everything was fine with return of car. Good all round service would definitely recommend and use again
Was massively busy and due to this being a rental swap while LV repaired my car, I had to leave my car behind, they are short of space so car had to be left on side roads, to which I wasn't too happy. Rental car was on thw surface clean, well appointed and less than three years old and a pleasure to drive. No idea of costs for this as bill picked up (for now) by LV. Thank you for the loan, glad I have my car back now.
Complete joke of a company, twice booked large vans for my business, both times less than an hour before collection they contacted me to say they didn't have the van I had booked - when I asked what they would do about it, they offered me a car derived van which was useless for my needs. Rude and arrogant member of staff, the most insincere apology ever. Give your money to Midhire who appreciate their customers.
Enterprise helped me with a hire car when mine was stolen and could not have been more helpful. Jav was so friendly and helpful when I hired the car and made me feel at ease. He rang to update me and was really understanding when there was a delay. Zohaib was really helpful when I returned the car. Thank you to both for making a difficult situation for me more bearable!
Utterly useless. Cancelled the van I tried to hire because I'd recently changed address and couldn't be validated.. Well, yeah, that's what happens when you move house. It's almost like I needed the van to complete that task. The irony is I hired a van from the same company in December 2019 on the same license number. Went elsewhere, won't ever bother with them again.
Myles was extremely helpful when I collected the car on 13 December and he remembered me from my previous visit and really looked after me. All enterprise staff that I have dealt with, including London Heathrow and Manchester airport, in the last few weeks have been excellent and Enterprise obviously have a very good training and recruitment program. Had a van reserved for tomorrow morning (reserved a week ago). I've just been contacted this afternoon and told the van is no longer available as it's been extended to someone else. To make matters worst, the guy on the phone found this amusing. Pretty disgusted right now and completely left in the lurch. Thanks Enterprise!
It was really handy to be able to rent a van in a nearby location. We booked online, everything went smoothly. The only downside, is that we had to extend our rental for an extra day (to the saturday), but had to pay for a whole day when the agency closed at 12, I feel there should be some sort of pro-rata for saturdays.
Nice staff The car club actually has the best telephone support I've ever experienced. Would prefear fuel to be full to full, Would be nice to find out how to do long term rentals at a better value. The website is ment to be cheaper, I ended up paying a load more going to the branch, The service is excellent though.
A friendly establishment very knowledgeable on the vehicles they hire out -- it is disability friendly and it's at road level-- the area can get congested with traffic --but the cars to hire are at a good rate -- so if you require to hire a car give them a call their close to a Morrison supermarket out let stirchly
4 stars because I booked a small car on their website and got a bigger one when I got there, paid an extra £15 even if I booked a small one. Paid £211 including excess for 3 days, a bit steep. Got my £200 deposit returned next day which was great. Aneesha and her colleagues were nice and helpful, 5 stars for them.

I was carjacked 3 weeks or so ago and was supplied with a courtesy car which I collected at the Stirchley, Birmingham branch. I returned it this morning with my sincere thanks to all at the branch but especially Mars for making everything better. Great service. So good.
They charge you for damage that was already on the vehicle when you take it out...even after it was the staff member that noticed it and took photos. Still waiting on reply for my complaint and my £229 money back. Everyone I've spoken too have been unhelpful or rude.
Poor choice of vehicles, insurance claim,should have received a similar suv for the time my vehicle was being repaired. Actually got a Vauxhall corsa ,despite my informing them that my wife’s mobility was a problem . Promised to change vehicle but never did. Poor.

Absolutely terrible customer service, booked van online, got rental pass and everything to be refused van in the morning, saying adress not confirmed, when produced proof of address still got refused hire, caused lot of headache, never use them again
This branch did not say no once they sorted out my hire vehicle with my insurance thay also picked and dropped it from my house. Amazing management and team are fantastic also want to add they check the car with you with-out fuss no ifs and buts
If i could give them more stars i would definitely do so. I went last minute to rent a van, Marz and his team where amazing and did everything they could do to find me something suitable the same day after i was rejected from many places

The team at Enterprise Stirchley were super friendly and efficient, the van was brand new, very clean and we were very happy with costs etc. Handing van Back was straight forward and again the staff were nice and efficient.

Been using these guys recently as they are next door to me. My rental was delayed by 30 minutes, they were very apologetic and made sure I was looked after. Customer services is great and staff are very helpful.
Received email to confirm car is booked and ready to pick up from your chosen collection So when I went to branch to pick the car up they said car not ready and I have to wait one week before I can pick the car
booking in and reservation was excellent but once I turned up for my collection the check in was very slow and the car wasn't ready for my allotted pick up time and wasn't cleaned prior to me taking it away.
Always blocking the pavement with badly parked cars. I had to help an old man in a wheelchair try to get past on the road because the staff allow clients and staff to totally block the pavement with cars.
I was seen by Josh and he was very welcoming and swift with dealing with my rental. I was in and out within 15 minutes. He explained everything I needed to know too so I didn't need to ask any questions

Booked a car weeks ago and on the day I collect and my car goes for repairs they phone and say it’s not available totally disgusting I’m now without a car to get to work …
They were good all in all did try do me and say in never gave it bk with the right amount of petrol but when i argued bk they sorted it. Thats what stops it from being 4stars
