When getting a car to rent there make sure u bring a mechanic with u to go over the car u plan to rent. we r going threw a problem right now that could have happened when someone else drove. had the car 6 days and the coolant pump went said it was from radiator being punctured. well didnt happen while we where driving it but broke while we had it now we r being blamed. Nearly 2 grand in work parts and all... choose wisely there u could be next. Horrible experience with the customer service at this location. My insurance company sent me to this location for a rental that was covered in my insurance. The rep was aware and instead of telling me there was no car at the location in my range while on the phone with me, when I got there the only thing he had was over so I took it bc I needed transportation desperately. My coworker came with me and during our interaction with the rep he was short, made smart comments and made no eye contact whatsoever. After I left I checked my account and noticed I'd been charged twice, or so I thought. When I called he told me the extra charge was for the additional rental cost that my insurance didn't cover and i was charge for 4 days in advance. He did not say this when he charged me in person, I was told about the deposit but not that I would be charged that day for 4 days. Needless to say I was heated, but had to get to work and prepare to go visit family for the holidays afterward. I decided to reach out to another Enterprise for a car in my range and found one on Lem Turner. They really made up for the poor customer service I received at the initial location and they refunded the additional charge. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. As someone who works in HR, the main street location rep could use customer service and cultural training before you guys lose more customers.

Two reasons I will NEVER rent from Enterprise again. 1) They don't give you a car with a full tank of gas, but they expect you to bring it back with the amount gas that it had at the time of rental. This way they always win because it's next to impossible to return it with the same amount of gas. Avis provides the renter with a vehicle that contains a full tank of gas. That way, one only has to fill up the tank. 2) On the third day of my rental, the tire light came on. When I checked the tire, it was 11 lbs. too low. I filled it up, then the fourteenth day, the car wouldn't start. When I called Enterprise, they offered to send out help, but said it would cost ME $55. So they give me a car with a low battery and give me privilege of helping with the cost of repair. Wow!! In contrast, when Avis found out I had to air up one of their tires, they gave me a $30 discount. NEVER NEVER NEVER again.

Terrible experience renting from this location. First of all, my car wasn't ready at the time of pickup so they offered another choice and charged me extra for it. I also had to extend my rental and after getting approval from Enterprise I got charged $325 extra because this location is not open on weekends so they closed my rental agreement on Monday instead of Saturday. Called multiple times to have the issue resolved. The branch manager told me I would be issued a refund that was never processed. After 5 different calls (and 16 days later) I was able to speak to the area manager that finally issued a refund. Stay away from this location at all costs.

Felt let down because I have been renting every week and I leave stuff and previous management would save for me and last week I left 300 dollars headsets that I use for work and I was told they had them but today I showed up and no not the case. I don't care for that value so much as I have gone through and been through 4 managers and their crew from that store and they all were super trustworthy. I don't want to insinuate that the management is to blame but you can't find one thing left that was in the case and say that's all we found. It's more of a letdown for me really. Where are you J, and you people. So trustworthy and friendly

The level of incompetence I encountered at this location was astounding. We had a reservation, and lo and behold - no vehicle was ready. The associate promised to find one and would call with an update. After 4 hours - no call. I called the location several times, and you guessed it - no one answered. I then had to get a ride to the location only to be told there was a 40% chance I would get a rental. The associate told me to check with other locations. I asked if she had a list, and she blithely answered, "Look them up on the internet." Needless to say, this was the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

I absolutely love Enterprise..The prices are always very reasonable, the cars are always very nice, with no issues, and customer service is most the time very friendly..I have had a particular incident with one..I have been renting cars from here for 8 years, so with one bad apple, I don't consider that a major issue, but I will address this company if there is ever another one, because I believe that customer service excellence is the key to anyone renting one of their cars..I know this because I worked for a company renting cars, let's face it, without customers, there would not be a business!!

They do not follow corporate guidelines. I spoke to corporate to make my reservation. I do not have a major credit card and that is why I called to make my reservation to clarify I do not need one. I was told as long as my id is for the same city and state. I spent hundreds of dollars to take my kids to disney world and now they cannot go because we have no way there. I was then told my corporate that I could use my registration to my vehicle or any mail to my home with my name. This ONE enterprise is not willing to honor it. I have to go out of my way to another one now just to get car.

Was told of a vehicle and then when I get there told me that the vehicle on reservation was SOLD then put me on a different rental that was very not in good shape and with a really bad smell of cigarettes smoke plus other funky smells as well. I ask to be place on a different rental and “there was nothing available “. At least I was able to move around in the smelly car for a little while but some of their cars are in really bad shape with lots of miles. And By the way this is my very very first bad experience with enterprise I guess I was because of where I pick up the vehicle.

Called to ask if they could pick up the vehicle at Blount Island. They said no, but they could drop me off. I show up ten minutes later and the person I spoke with left for lunch, making it so the only remaining representative at the desk couldn't help drop me off and I'd have to wait an hour. They offered for me to pay for a taxi, and I told them they were welcome to do that, or discount my rental after inconveniencing me with no drop off. They were unable to because it originated at another branch. Thankfully, the other branch on 103rd made up for this branch's issues.

Terrible customer service. They couldn't find my reservation and therefore didn't show up to pick me up, then told me they had no cars available and had no idea when they would. She blamed it on the person who took the reservation, who had told me he worked at that location (I pressed 4). She said he was probably with the reservation center and those guys are told to lie about where they're located. Maybe so. I don't know. Regardless, it was a huge inconvenience for me and a disappointing experience to say the least. Take this advice... rent from Hertz instead.

Enterprise made my 73 year old disabled mom stand outside for nearly 1 hour while waiting for a car in the 90 degree Florida heat. They had nowhere for her to sit under a tent with a chair or a fan to cool her off. No one bothered to offer her a water or anything. Way to go Enterprise. You almost had a serious casualty on your hands there. She had no where to go because the collision place where she had to leave her crashed car at dropped her off there. Then u give her a tiny car that she can barely get in or out of because her body is so weak.

My daughter's insurance made a reservation. The week prior she lost her iD and was given a temporary paper that says her id is on the way. She also has a picture of her iD with the expiration date and whatever else they need. She is in the military and is stationed in FL. Her iD will come to her home in NC. They wouldn't let her get the vehicle because they claim they need a physical id. Why turn down a customer when they have proof of having license. My child had to walk home in her uniform because he act like he couldn't give her the car.

I'll make a long story short I made a reservation at took me an hour to get through they were supposed to pick me up at Wilson's body shop on Monday morning they never did pick me up. 4 hours later I got a rental through Hertz they picked me up and I wasn't on there books. I tried calling several times on Monday then never pick up I don't have time to be hold for 50 - 60 minutes each time to talk to a person. Enterprise needs to close their Main St. location in Jacksonville Fl. Or get enough people to run it..

Because of accident (no fault of mine) had no choice but to use Enterprise because of my car insurance. Accident was WED morning, sent there from E.R. that afternoon, NO CARS available, reassured one would be set aside & be ready THRS after 12:00 pm. THRS afternoon, NO CARS AVAILABLE! Reassured AGAIN FRI after 12:00 pm. NOPE! SAME THING FRI, SAT, SUN!!!!! No car until MONDAY AFTERNOON!!!!! FIVE DAYS LATER!!!!! ENTERPRISE SUCKS. I'LL NEVER USE ENTERPRISE IF I'M PAYING THE BILL, EVER!!!!!

Today I dropped my coworker off to this location and the customer service was so bad. The guy working the counter was not courteous, made snarky remarks and did not make any eye contact. He didn't even greet us upon entry and was not personable at all. He also left out info about paying the additional fees for the rental, he only mentioned the deposit. My coworker did not realize this until she looked at the charges on her card. Avoid this location at all costs, they are not customer friendly.

The vehicle I rented was a 2020 Chevy Equinox. It was a very comfortable ride and my customer service representative Eddie at Gerber Collision Center was the best. The vehicle was empty at the time of my pickup. He put gas in it and added that I didn't have to worry about having gas in it when I returned it. Of course I returned it with a half a tank. I love that my security deposit didn't take forever to be credited back to my card. I will definitely be renting again from Enterprise.

I had a wreck Sunday January 30th and came in Monday and got a rental car from Enterprise which is who my insurance company referred me to and I have to say this was the best experience I've had ever in renting a car, the entire staff is great including Courtney she is awesome and deserves a raise in my opinion. All those negative comments I've seen can't be true this is the best rental car place in Jacksonville. Customer service is A1!!

I did a long term rental as my primary vehicle was being repaired. I received friendly pick up service from my home to the Main St branch. The check in process was smooth as was the process for returning the vehicle. All of the people that I worked with over the 37 day window were professional, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Don’t let the exterior fool you; it’s a well run operation.

If I could give less than one star, I would. I was left stranded, my insurance was changed for damages to a vehicle they lost for a week and a half after it was returned to them; then after being told to keep receipts for reimbursement I was ignored then finally told they would not cover it because of damages that I did not even cause. I cannot say enough times to stay away from renting here

Although no staff was available to pick me up from the Cruise Terminal, Andrew Z, the assistant manager was able to solve the problem deftly to our satisfaction. Good customer service and hence good job! Would recommend: since this Main Street location is the closest to the Cruise Terminal, and many cruise start on Saturdays, this Main Street branch should be open on Saturday mornings.

Everytime I rent a car there, I ALWAYS point out how there is dirty in cracks or how it smells like cigarettes in the vehicle. The one time I don't point out the issues, they smack a $250 cleaning fee after I used the vehicle 10 hrs. This company will steal from you and apologize for it. Don't rent from there if you expect a clean rental

Use to go to hertz. Not anymore enterprise has better prices good deals and people I have dealt with are always nice and friendly that's a big part in my choice to use enterprise for all my rentals... main st. In Jax fl and Wandsworth Blvd colorado the people in those offices are awesome. Thank you so much....

Very grateful for this location. It was close to the repair shop and Ryan's customer service skills were awesome. And Patrick drove me to my shop and he's a great driver and conversationalist. 5 stars to them both. Had no issues with getting a rental driving the rental and returning the rental. Good times.

we got there at 5:08 r to get a rental car and the insurance wouldn’t cover collision so we were on the phone for over 2 hours trying to get this car and courtney was so helpful and understanding with us. she made she we left with a car !! and she stood out in the cold bless her heart she’s amazing

My car was stolen and I ended up having to get a rental. Great location. William and the other employees were friendly and answered every question I had. They were very friendly, helpful and explained every single detail of my contract. Definitely do not want to go to any other location!!!!

Very good customer service! Car was ready and available as reserved. Pick up timely. However, the only complaint I have is that the rental charge was higher than what I would have paid through one of the competitors. Would like to see a more competitive rental charge.

Most Enterprise locations are awesome but this one has terrible service. I was asked to call back and then maybe they would have a car available. How about you take my reservation info and the bring one over to take out the guesswork? Too much to ask I guess.

My Moms boyfriend has Dementia and wrecked the car. We have been waiting 2 weeks for a car. Can never get anyone at this number. Went one day and waited 2 hours for them to tell me no car. Worst I have dealt with. My Mom still doesn't have a car.

The car was not ready when I got there. They gave me a car that needed maintenance. I used it for that day even though I planned to have a car for a week. I took it back the same day. When I went to out gas in it, it was slow to crank.

Dollar rental car at the airport is a bunch of thieves. I ubered here for $20 and got a reasonable rate and great service. Definitely worth the slight inconvenience to get here if the airport is sold out!
