Nicely managed, basic, small local library. Internet speed is great. Second floor is children only. Third floor was closed. Is that where the nice photos were taken? Ground floor is very basic small 1960s looking library room. Bathroom was very clean and is within view of the desk librarian so maybe that minimizes any funny business persisting in it. I got there an hour after it opened and the spaces were 90% taken. If you are willing to sit at a table with 2 or 3 strangers, you will be fine finding a place to work. Grammercy neighborhood coffee shops have no Wi-fi (none) in my experience, so this is the only game in this part of town if you are trying to work. Alternative places to work: 40th Street public library and 42nd Street public library (also full but large capacity and tables always open up). Being in town all week, needing to take a few calls, I wished I had arranged ahead of time for rent at a co-working space somewhere. These libraries are very hush hush quiet. You would never be allowed to do a Zoom call at any of them. Unless there are rooms I don't know about.

I like to watch old movies and I don't have cable tv or internet at home, so the NYPL and their amazing DVD catalog is a godsend for me. However, it should be noted that there are some weird issues with items in the catalog that are supposedly available but cannot be located and that Epiphany is one of the most problematic branches regarding this issue. Just off the top of my head, I can think of at least three movies (Cry of the Hunted, Shadow on the Wall and Between Two Worlds) that are suppposedly available and on the shelves at Epiphany but which are nowhere to be seen/found. It's getting to the point where if I'm placing a "hold" on an item and I see that it's "available" at Epiphany, I don't bother, because I know I'll never get the item in question. Someone really needs to look into this.

I needed to quickly print something and didn't have access at home. The UPS and Fedex shops wanted to charge $3.00 per page and I needed 2 done and I felt the price was excessive. I came by this library and was very impressed with the service level that was provided. The workers were incredible patient with all of us despite the very annoying or obvious answers to the questions. I needed to print but didn't have a library card. They helped set me up with one. All of the computers were being use so they let me use a loaner laptop. They then said "please don't run off with this... it happens all of the time and this is one of our last ones." They clearly deal with a lot and I'm grateful for them allowing me to use it and print what I needed. Thank you!

This is my local library branch which I visit once a week. It has greatly improved over the years. It is clean and well laid out. There is a guard who ensures that the teen area only has teens, and that the homeless do not take over. It has multiple copies of best sellers. I always find something I want to read here, even if I can't find the book I want. Then they generally are able to get it through inter-library loan. There is also a great movie program I have visited a few times. All in all, this is a great community resource which I hope we can maintain. The only problem is the inability to pay fines -- or donate -- with a debit card on site. You still need cash for that.

This branch of the New York Public Library has reopened for pickup of books put on reserve on line , pickup of printing and a few other things. However, there is still very limited browsing and no use of computers. It was announced today that bars, gyms, etc can now be open to 100 percent of capacity by May 19. Hopefully libraries can open for all their functions at full capacity at that time-its long past due.

This is a library as a library should be. This place feels very quiet and peaceful. Staffs here very silent and helpful. You will find lot books , computers, some free books like driving manual etc. It mazing i found different library in New York full of users. My presumption about american was different. Readers are studying, reading, some are working on computers. All dipped into their study. Beautiful.

This was such a nice clean neat library. I went for the bitty book buddies and it was to adorable to see the kids sing and dance and get excited with the librarian. I would seriously consider going back for not old that program but for any other programs I find that they have going on.

4.5 stars. I had my library card for a long expired account. The library rep determined this, then suggested I get a current account while re-using the old card. She explained that the quality of the old card is better than the current cards. …

I love this library. It's very pleasant for the most part. Once in a while you get some crazy strange person but it is a public place after all. I stop in almost every day and the staff have always been warm, welcoming and very helpful.

-1star due to the unlockable bathroom and malfunctioning water fountain but otherwise perfect for bringing your laptop to work. Best table-chair height configuration I've experienced in public libraries!

  • Nicola Ritter

2nd Floor has a childrens area. There is a play area for crawlers and toddlers with many board books. There are tables with colors and coloring sheets. The staff find any book you're looking for.

  • Laura Cooley

Great staff and selection. Easy to have books transferred from other locations. A little old on the interior, but clean for a library. (The nice pictures aren't of this particular library)

  • Maci Morris

One of the best staff experiences I've had at any library. The children section is really nice. It's a relatively small library but it's great. Great selection for the young adult/teens.

  • Azima Leylas

Comfortable chairs to relax kick back to read. A station set up to bring your own laptop and another station for renting a computer. A younger adult section & upstairs for Children

  • Marie Parsons

Support the public libraries. I so appreciate that I can place a hold on a book in another branch, but have it sent over to Epiphany, my local branch. Staff is always courteous.

  • Drea

So glad it's back open full service. This was my full service library before COVID. Place is clean neat and monitored and has a great selection of books.

Good library to rest if you strolling up town (jacks 99cent store or maybe kalustauans) and a newspaper.

  • Louise Orrock

It offers desktops for 15 minutes (express)- or 45 minutes for most terminals. The staff are helpful.

  • James Tracy

Librarian was extremely helpful. It is a very tiny branch, so you would most likely have to order it.
