Our experience first walking in to MG was incredibly positive - much better than the several dealerships we had visited previously. The service was very good, and no question was too difficult to be answered and the attendant gave us plenty of time and we did not feel rushed or pressured at all. We purchased an MG ZST in February, and got told of a maximum wait time of six weeks. We ended up getting the car 16 weeks from our purchase date. While this is not a fault of the dealer, it was still frustrating and disappointing how much that time frame blew out. The week leading in to picking up the car was where the wheels started to fall off. We were contacted on a Tuesday to transfer payment (for pick up on a Saturday, where we told it would need to be early if it were on a Saturday), but were not given any clear instruction aside from the account details of where to transfer the funds to. We obviously still had to organise insurance, but were not given a VIN or our rego to do this, even though this had been requested multiple times. Come the Friday afternoon - after a leaving a message and an email on Tuesday - we had still not heard anything back. I called Friday afternoon around 4pm, to be told someone will call me back soon. It took another call back - on my behalf mind you - around 5pm the night before to obtain the rego and VIN to organise our insurance. When I questioned why our email was not replied to three days earlier it was stated that "it was missed." At the dealership on the Saturday morning upon pick up we felt rushed, - despite having paid a large sum - the sales girl was not particularly friendly and it came across like we were an inconvenience being there. Things we had to Google ourself - because we were not shown by aone -have included how to put the mirrors in and how to use cruise control. We were not given any information on what petrol to use (which is a big issue I think given it can affect the car's performance). We were also not given any tutorial on how to adjust or connect anything, aside from connecting our phones with bluetooth. When you're outlaying so much money on any product the customer service should not have been lacking like it was, and it has definitely impacted our opinion and experience with MG Essendon.

I highly recommend Essendon MG. When I initially was looking for a new car George was very helpful. After I explained my requires George showed me the ZST Essence and organised a test drive. He was not pushy, he clearly believes in the product he sells, he knew after a test drive I would buy. This was also the first time ever I have had my responsibilities while test driving outline, I also received an email outlining the same. I only wanted to wait a few months for my new car so George found a red and silver one already on the way to Australia, perfect I love the red. George explained the purchase process, timeliness etc and assured me my new car, little red, would be here October/November 23. After signing the contract I spoke to Dhav. I already knew I wanted dash cam, tinted windows & Schmick. Dhav explained a few other options but was not pushy. Dhav explained Schmick in detail and said he would explain and set me up with the dash cam when I pick little red up. So October is here and I am happy to say I have picked up little red. When I picked up little red I was again pleasantly surprised. This is the 5th new car I have bought (first MG). This was by far the best car pick up experience I have had. When things went wrong with me being able to get to the dealership George provided valet service. Once paperwork was completed George took time and was patient showing me all of little red's features and answering my questions. Dhav set up the dash cam on my phone and showed me how to access it if I should need to. And he explained Scmick again. Also thank you to David who I only met briefly but I know was in the background working to get little red here and ready for pick up. As I drove away I was very comfortable with my new car and the dealership I purchased her from. I have no hesitation recommending this dealership but in particular George and Dhav.

I’ve owned some very nice new cars but the service from this dealership is the best I’ve ever known. The MG ZS EV itself is the best thing I’ve ever driven; smoother and more fun than even luxury cars, but where I have been most impressed was the way the team at Essendon MG have been. Dhav in sales has been incredibly helpful with Jan going above and beyond to answer all of my questions and assist me. In fact everyone from sales and the service area have gone out of their way and nothing has been too hard for them. I wish I remembered all of their names and would mention them here. I had a couple of minor things that needed sorting and the process has been smooth and quick. The minor issues have been far fewer than any other car I’ve had and my MG is absolutely perfect now. I cannot recommend the quality of the product or the cohesion and effectiveness of the entire team working there more. You are doing everything right and I don’t always leave reviews but I haven’t been this impressed in a long time. You have fine people working there and I am so happy to acknowledge, recognise and recommend you and all you do. Thank you so much. Steph was so helpful when I purchased my car. She answered all my questions and let me take two cars for a test drive without hesitation so I could figure out which one was right for me. I also like that she didn't put pressure on me to buy as I told her I had to sell my car first. I would definitely recommend seeing her if you need to buy a new car. She made the purchase process go really smoothly unlike my experience with another dealership. Frank is so lovely also. His a manager there and was really helpful when I had a question about the car he didn't make me feel stupid and assured me if I needed help with anything he was there. As a woman buying car it can be a really daunting and intimidating experience sometimes but this was a really positive one. I had handover of my vehicle with Dave and he was very professional. I recently purchased an MG HS essence and what a fantastic experience I had. From the moment I walked into the dealership until the day I picked up my car I was well looked after and constantly updated throughout the process. Jordan was very helpful in assisting me to find the right car to suit my needs and explained all the features of the vehicle I ended up purchasing. He made picking the right car super easy and stress free from start to finish. This place has been the worst experience so far and no car still after being told the car will arrive late Nov to early Dec 2021. Regular messages left for David and Paul don't get returned and we were told they had issues with their reception! The guys were pleasant to deal with on the day but the follow up has just been very poor and get the impression they really don't have to try too hard as the cars sell regardless given the current shortage due to COVID..! I would not be going back here regardless and have moved on to another dealer. My concern is that if they can't return calls what will be the follow up be like once I do get the car and have any issues.

I picked up a brand new MG3 Excite from Essendon MG last Thursday and I'm honestly so happy with the car! This is my first ever car and I was very nervous and new to the whole process. Amazing service by the whole team! Our sales rep George was so fantastic and was always there when we needed him. I'm deeply dissatisfied with MG Essendon's service. My car has been in their garage for weeks, causing significant frustration. Despite my insurance company's repeated requests, there have been delays due to MG Essendon's lack of communication and efficiency. This has left me without a car, impacting my work and personal life. I expected better professionalism and customer service from MG Essendon, and my experience has fallen far short of those expectations.

Very rude service reception team when asked for replace the cabin filter for 4 months old car.they said its not covered but the point is if the car is only 4 months old and smell started in 3rd week from the date of purchase.charged me $220

Surprised by how good the MG is. I was looking at a Kia, total disappointment and Nissan over priced. The MG ZST has everything and more at a great price.
