I am absolutely appauled by the disgusting service (or lack thereof) received by Essop's. Apparently they are unable to keep track of their stock correctly which becomes your problem as a customer. My parents purchased a dining room table and chairs, and I purchased a coffee table, which they apparently had 14 in stock of when I paid for my coffee table. On the day they were supposed to deliver, they phoned and said that they were having difficulties and would have to deliver the next day. The next day, another phone call - they don't have stock of either the dining room table and chairs, nor the coffee table! My parents got a refund as Essop's said that they would not be receiving any more stock of those items, but promised me that my coffee table would arrive in 3-4 weeks, which was 3 months ago. I phoned the store on multiple occasions and have not received an answer as to when I can expect my table, they promised to phone me back with an answer each time I phone them, but I haven't received a call back once, I need to phone them just to get the same response each time - 'Head Office' is still unable to tell us when we are receiving stock.'. How useless can they possible be? They clearly don't give a damn about their customers as I haven't even received a courtesy call. I will NEVER even walk into an Essop's store again, let alone purchase from them! Don't bother giving them your money as it will sit in their bank account gaining interest while you wait like an idiot for your furniture to never arrive.

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing anything from these idiots! When I purchased 3 large ornamental vases on the 1st of August from the Carnival Mall branch I was promised delivery within 3 weeks. A month later I called to enquire and thats when the excuses and promises of imminent delivery started piling up. First it was the supplier's fault, then it was the fault of the painter, then , sorry, we dont know why the delivery guy didn" t deliver and on and on and on Imtiaaz kept on giving excuses and apologies. These guys will beat any government department at the incompetency game hands down. I've had it with them, never will I walk into their shop as long as I live and I will certainly ensure that my kith and kin are well pre-warned to keep away for their own health's sake. Today it is a full 3 months from the cursed day my feet found their way into that shop and I've just received another pathetic apology from the Imtiaaz for non-delivery. Tomorrow I'm gonna demand a refund ! I've had it with this lot. DANGER! KEEP AWAY!!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Rude, unprofessional, and unreliable. I ordered a lounge suite in a deep brown shade; the suite was delivered in a grayish colour. I contacted the store telephonically and physically numerous times before the scheduled delivery date to confirm; on the day of delivery, no one contacted us, we called them and they blatantly told us that it won't be delivered till the following day or the day after. We spoke to "Moosa", who was uninterested in resolving the issue, he was sarcastic and rude over the phone. I would not recommend this place at all. You spend quite a bit on the items and get poor service, the item isn't what was advertised and delivery is unreliable.

Essops Xavier Boulevard Earlier on today just after 14h30, we walked in at the above mentioned branch, I was with my wife and we wanted to buy the titan bedroom suite, lounge suite and dining suite. None of the staff members greeted us and they were not bored as to what are we looking for , they were just sitting there and having their conversation and we were the only customers inside the shop. We were appalled by such an experience, and we decided to walk away with our cash and go to another store were we will be served with courtesy.

Essops slogan that says they strive to give you the best is a total lie.i went to Xavier branch to purchase a dinning glass table.the delivery guys delivered faulty table with no screws. I told them about the fault n they promised to fix the problem.the next day they delivered another part of the table without base.the base was also damaged and has dents on it.i have never been so unhappy and dissapointed about the service i received from Essops home

Don't bother contacting the Winchester Hills Store via telephone, The staff place you on hold and eventually cut the call. I placed 5 calls today and held on for approximately 5 minutes each time. Surely this store is not that busy to assist existing and potential clients telephonically.

Store has very poor customer service. Floor staff not interested in serving customers, busy taking phone calls etc. It's a pity, they have nice furniture, but their service is poor which makes it off-putting to buy anything from them.

Besides the sales assistance, there was nobody in the store and not one person offered assistance. I stood at the counter and still no help. Eventually I had to ask for assistance. Very poor customer service unfortunately.

Unexpectedly good service, the manager has a very welcoming attitude and makes you want to buy, will suggest this business over any other furniture shop because of darryl and Amos

I ordered something,never recieved it then applied for a refund ,then I was told I will recieve the refund after 8 days . Still haven’t recieved it till today

Don’t ever buy from here, you will pay for delivery and assembly and they will not assemble your product correctly

The shop is always clean, the staff always around when you need assistance and the furniture is amazing.
