As I said in the photos, it was a jem of a find. No signboard until you walked past brown metal doors to reveal cozy seatings and authentic Ethiopian cuisines. The owner, Mike, hailed from Ethiopia (it wasn’t obvious ) spent more than a decade in Luanda speaks decent English and was a most hospitable host explaining how the dishes were cooked and how they should be eaten. Eating Ethiopian food the traditional way means eating with your hands. Injera is the name of the delightful sour and spongy pancake-like bread that’s practically synonymous with Ethiopian cuisine. Made from teff flour, a grain grown in East Africa for millennia, it is vegan and gluten-free, explained Mike. The injera is used to scoop the various food piles into your mouth! Bonapetit!

Habesha Hoje fomos a um restaurante incrível. Há muito tempo que não tínhamos tanto prazer na degustação de um prato com tantas conjugações de sabores diferentes, especiais, tremendamente bem executados, acompanhados por um delicioso chá etíope. O Ethio-Habesha Restaurant in Angola-Luanda, tal como o nome indica é um restaurante da Etiópia e fica em Luanda. Os donos são super simpáticos, super atenciosos. Se estiverem em Luanda, se vierem a Luanda, aproveitem. Ahhhh e a música etíope embalou o todo o jantar.. que sonho de experiência. Os preços são super acessíveis e a experiência priceless.

Love this place!! Cute decor, excellent fresh food made to order- so good, and the kindest staff! Would go back in a heartbeat. Can be tricky to find from street- just call the restaurant if you need help (owner speaks English too!)

New spot in town! Habesha Restaurant New is small but quaint. Many food options, well spiced veggies and meats. The injera was soft and we'll fermented. The owner was friendly and attentive. We would visit again!

Eu passei no sábado passado e perguntei se estariam abertos durante a semana, me disseram que sim. Hoje vim desde o Ingombota almoçar e o restaurante estava fechado, sem nenhuma explicação.
