Tried to return a damaged book which I purchased online, when I entered the store some staff was nice, but when I needed help with the problem I was turned away by the manager and staff and asked to contact exclusive books online. I contacted them and they explained the process to me, then I returned to the store and had to explain the process to the staff of how to return the book, basically doing there job for them. After they accepted the book they did not want to send me confirmation that they received the book because they thought I was trying to crook them, maybe because everyone present there at the time was still unsure what the process of returning a the book was. Eventually they contacted there supervisor and after a bit of a struggle he was convinced to send me a confirmation email that he received my book. The problem I had with him was that he said he would send my boo k to the warehouse the next day first thing the morning, however when I followed up with the store he actually took off the that day and was lying to me which is a major concern about the integrity this supervisor had. He eventually gave me a call and this was only one week after he said he was going to help me. The only reason I think he gave me a call is because I called the manager of the store and the manager told me he will do it, however even the manager lied and passed it on to this supervisor. All is sorted now with Exclusive books Sandton city store and now after a month has passed I am still waiting on the Warehouse to refund me or give me a new copy of the book.

Exclusive books in Sandton City is situated opposite Hamleys Toy Shop. I have two young children who enjoy playing at the toy shops and Lego shop first during our visits to Sandton City. However after a wonderful afternoon or early evening of playing, Exclusive Books is a wonderful place for the kids to wind down. They love going there because it is a calm and quiet place. This shop has the best childrens area out of any book shop I have been to in gauteng. They have couches and kiddies chairs and tables as well. We always order hot drinks and a cookie from their coffee bar and relax and read in the kids area. Sometimes I will read to them. In times where technology overwhelms young minds, it is good for them to still appreciate reading a book. Now and then we will buy an activity book or a book which appeals to them. A peaceful and welcoming venue for children and adults. Prices are also very good compared to some of our other central sandton book shops.

This is one of those few places that evoke immeasurable joy and tranquility. There is nothing about this particular branch that feels like a store. The books are easy to find owing to their chronological and alphabetical arrangement as well as extremely helpful staff always at your disposal. The centrally situated Seattle Coffee House kiosk adds divine aroma to the already stimulating atmosphere. The comfortable sofas and chairs add a homely feel where one can just grab a cup of coffee and situate themselves comfortably anywhere to get lost in a good book.

This is the closest experience to being in a library with noise. The environment is great and the place is always buzzing with young and old with ample space to sit snug with knowledge and book adventures. The coffee shop understandably does not pack book damaging foods but that's what the entire mall is there for, you'll most likely return. I really love it! Those who find the library to be too quiet and serious. This is the place amd everyone is respectful and you might even find a new book buddy to drink coffee with.

Seating? What seating??? While my son and i tried to get the seating closer to the kiddies section thereby eliminating constant trips from the cash tills to the books while we chose our items to purchase, a very pompous, condescending staff member told me that i wasnt allowed to move their seating from the till points. Considering what a customer spends on reading material at this store, i would expect them to be more considerate and accomodating. I most certainly won't be visiting this store anytime soon!

Always a great visit great book selection especially for kids! Loved browsing here and enjoying the place! Decor is amazing and the deals in books always worth the visit! This years Christmas campaign “here be wonder” is especially beautiful well done on the campaign, have a look out for the giant books hanging from the ceiling! It's a fantastic store, big in size with a very good variety. They kept two books for me and when I arrived to collect them I was greeted by two very helpful and polite staff members, while they fetched my order I had a Seattle coffee from the coffee shop located conveniently in the shop run by two other very friendly staff members. They wrapped the books for me as well. I'll definitely be back to the store in the future

Horrible and lazy service from the two ladies at the check out tills. Asked them if there was a book in store and they answered in such a lazy and uninterested way. Not a way to keep customers coming back. The Seattle Coffee staff was just as bad as they were more interested in their phones than their customers. Will not recommend for people to go after 6pm on a Saturday evening. Really disappointed in this branch!

Terrible service at the Seattle coffee shop. The two shop assistants were both hesitant to serve us and when they did they were extremely rude. Futhermore, the sandton city shop is the last shop in Johannesburg to not give you the option to use paper or plastic straws. The paper straws break when you are not even done with your drink and you end up wasting money.

The bookshop is excellent the coffee shop terrible. Poor customer service disorganised no simple structure to manage checkout process in such a small kiosk is perplexing to me. I hope it was just my experience but I'll get Starbucks and then get excellent service at the bookshop. This rating is for Exclusive Books not the Seattle Coffee inside the bookshop.

Every book under one roof in beautifully organized shop. You can spend a day here. Seating available with mini coffee shop serving muffins and coffee among other things. So eat, read, chill... Let the kids go to the kiddies section with more seating and magical colourful play area with plenty more books. It's an experience hard to beat.

Probably one of the best Exclusive books. The range is quite decent and the South African and African section is fantastic. Comfy seating available and the only downside is that there isn't a convenient Seattle coffee attached. Prices are typical or exclusive books but it's worth supporting them (and other bookstores)

Very good bookstore. The range is very extensive and there’s almost something for everybody. They also have academic books which is always good. Combined with desks, newspapers, WiFi, and a Seattle Coffee on-site, this makes for a perfect place to go for a read to kill some time or even study for an exam.

What a lovely gem in Sandton City! Grab a coffee, grab your recently bought book, have some carrot cake, and just switch off for a while. Serving tables are out of the corridor traffic and close enough to the bookshelves to make one feel shielded and removed from the hectic life outside our book havens.

Visiting this store is a must every time I visit Sandton City. In the current climate where most content is moving online I’m just happy bookstores like this exist in the first place. There’s always staff willing to help and they tend to have the latest books together with frequent sales.

Truly loved shopping at this well stocked book store. Got there on my last day and wish i had more time to sit and take in all the books. The teller was extremely pleasant and i look forward to visiting here again. Hopefully next time i get to try out the awesome smelling coffees.

Loved the whole experience of shopping and reading here. Their range is excellent and there are lots of great corners to get lost in the first pages of a potential read (tough pick between these two). Really looking forward to my next visit.

Wide book selection incorporating local and international authors. You can have your coffee while perusing books of interest. Only criticism is that book titles not available on stock, they take too long or they never come back to you.

The new look of exclusive is perfection. The coffee bar makes the right something something to pair with a good novel. I last had a mocha freezo thing and it was yum and perfect for the heat of a SA summer.

I don't understand how Exclusive Books in Sandton cannot have what I am looking for. Something they've had in the Past. And not only that but offer no alternative plan to acquire it. Poor Service!!

I got these great books and journals about 2 weeks ago from the big sale they had (all books were marked down to 50 Rand not sure about now) there were so many books books to choose from.

Heaven for Bibliophiles like myself. You can even sit down and have a beverage whilst reading a vast array of diverse publications to suit anyone's needs. The staff are very helpful.
